List of Golf Services as of Spring 2021
    Dante C.

It is convenient having a fully stocked, full-service golf store in the area after Golfsmith closed up its shop in Ontario. Golf Galaxy is owned by the same company as Dick's Sporting Goods across the street. Their biggest competition is Roger Dunn Golf Shops (owned by Worldwide Golf), which you can find about ten miles away in Rancho Cucamonga. I was in the market for a new driver, so I dropped by for a fitting. The technician was a young man who had been fitting clubs for only about a year, but he was capable of answering questions, providing different equipment and components, operating the swing lab, and offering knowledgeable advice. The fitting was $70. You get a write-up of your data and a sales pitch. If you choose to buy within 30 days, your $70 will go towards your purchase. My four-star rating is based on the overall store. The customer service is good, but the store itself is large and unfriendly. There's not the variety of merchandise that I've seen in other golf shops. In comparison, the Roger Dunn Superstore in Tustin is bigger, but the store itself feels friendlier. Likewise, the Roger Dunn store in Rancho Cucamonga is smaller but friendlier. I encourage golfers to see for themselves. I have posted pictures of the services currently available at Golf Galaxy in Upland.

Needed new grips, called to see if they were in stock. A young lady answered and although she didn't seem very knowledgeable, she was still able to answer whether they carried what I needed. I was a bit hesitant on driving 30 mins out but it was well worth it. Golf services are located in the far back right corner. We were greeted by Ed, amazing Ed! I told him what I was interested in which, were the Winn grips we went back and forth and decided I should try Golf Pride Because ultimately this brand lasted longer. While Ed gripped my club, I walked around and found a cute Ping hat! 10 mins later I was out! Thanks again Ed!

Eric really helped me dial in my driver today. I really appreciate all the help today, and I can't wait to come back for my irons.

We did a trial day for him and he had a great time and can't wait to go each weekend. Head Coach Yang and his fellow coaches are very professional, have a great ability to manage kids at this age and have a technical mindset to work on your kids learning progression. They offer Group lessons (4:1 ratio), family and private lessons. The group classes work great for us as it allows our son to look at other kids his age and replicate the same discipline and focus around his skills / approach to the sport. Couldn't be happier with the program. Thank you Coach Yang and Tony! I highly recommend the Lion Golf Academy to all parents looking to get their kids into golf.

Chace was super understanding and said it was no problem. Its located inside the same plaza as Islands and 99 Ranch Market. When we walked in he asked for our name and we had signed up for the waiver in advance so we didn't have to do that there. He also explained how to get a free beer and there is QR code all over the place to follow and tag them. Overall super clean and it looked like they had one room with doors so you can close the door and there is one bigger bay next to the beer area and 3 bay on the other wall. We will definitely return. Hour went by super quick for us. They have bunch of different features you can use at the bay. Pour your own beer machine is pretty clever concept with golf simulator. They have water machine at the place too along with two bathrooms. Now you don't have to go all the way to OC. Chill place to have a date night or even group gatherings. Normal peak time pricing is $60 and they do have cheaper prices in the AM. Private room is higher but it would be good for privacy. They also do lessons there and Chace is one of the instructors. They also give free tees there in the metla bucket. Definitely worth your time there and will not regret.

I do not live in this neighborhood, nor was I parked here; I was simply driving past on my way to school when a ball struck from their golf course smashed my windshield. There were absolutely no signs along the road warning drivers to be on alert for flying golf balls. I went to their office to request their assistance in contacting the members who were playing during that specific time slot so that we could resolve this matter. However, they claimed they were unable to help. I left my phone number in the hope that they would follow up with me, but they remained completely indifferent. Later, when I called their office again, their response was that I had no one to blame but myself for having bad luck, and that I should just figure out how to get my car repaired on my own!The most terrifying part is that I found more than just one stray ball at the scene. Who knows who the next victim will be?For the sake of driving safety, I paid out of my own pocket to replace my front windshield. However, due to financial constraints, I could not afford to install a genuine OEM-quality replacement; instead, I had to settle for a cheaper, aftermarket alternative. Furthermore, I simply didn't have any spare funds left to apply a protective sun film. I have no choice but to make do and carry on as best I can. I sincerely hope that anyone passing through this area will exercise extreme caution, so as to avoid suffering the same ordeal I did. For beyond the financial loss, the sheer terror and psychological trauma experienced in that very moment can leave a lasting scar that stays with you for a lifetime. I consider myself incredibly fortunate that, in the instant the glass was struck, I remained calm enough to maintain control of the vehicle and prevent it from swerving erratically; otherwise--given that it was rush hour--I shudder to imagine what catastrophic consequences might have ensued. After all, it wasn't just the single object that shattered my windshield that came flying out; I actually recovered more than one such projectile from the scene.

I have a longer wingspan than the greens, there are no lakes to be found, most of the course is not kept well at all, and carts don't go to parking lot which is very inconvenient if your have a full party with bags, and the range mats are horrid. However, the cart girls are nice, the range is cheap, the new flying goose bar is charming with an upper deck that's great to relax at after a full 18 or when having some fun at the range. If it does become a country club i certainly would not become a member, but for a bit of weekend fun it's a great cheaper alternative to top golf or a more pricey course. 3.75/5 - a hobbyist

What I don't get is that there's a recent surge of investment and even focus on social media that is spotlighting social events around the new cool bar and the hip driving range experience that stays open into the evening. The range was previously a grass range. Even though the grass was a little rough, this was more quality practice... and they bought the absolute worst TEMU mats I've ever stepped on. You want to be hip and top-golfy with the bar and all that? Awesome. Cool. But it's absolutely embarrassing when you JUST recently installed mats to hit off of and within a couple months they are grossly misshapen. They're so uneven and sagging in random spots. I'm just baffled that they're all about making money with the range, but they make the experience so much worse. I'd rather hit off the dirt. The mats have to be replaced. When they do replace them, they need to take care of them. Get some serious mats... not some hand me downs from the local JC PE class.
