First time shopping with Ammo Bros. I found what I wanted online and proceeded to purchase, however I experienced a bit of a glitch with the website where my card was charged, but the order didn't go through/didn't receive confirmation. I got in touch with support and they were able to remedy the situation. I had to wait for the order to be in stock for a bit, and wasn't receiving updates because of the glitch. That was on corporate's side though. Once the order got to the store, it was smooth sailing. Everyone I dealt with was helpful and friendly. It felt a little more intimate than some of the bigger, more populated stores like Bass Pro and Turner's. It's hard to keep up on the regulations in our state, but they did a good job of explaining everything. I took the FSC and started the 10-day process. Was able to purchase extra ammo and finally got a sweet AR-15 with a scope for an excellent price! I'll be back to get some extras added to it. I'll use them as an FFL in the future as well. Decided to give Ammo Bros - Ontario a try based on Turner's - Ontario becoming increasingly more expensive and busy. Over the past year, I have had some mixed, but mostly positive experiences. Customer service wise, I would rank excellent. Also, I've never had to wait long (10 minutes tops) to be seen. Always greeted at the door with "what brings you in today". Compared with Turner's 'take a number', that's already a win. The mixed: 1) I used online ammo ordering (which is great), but received the wrong type (M855 vs M193). Caught the same day and had to drive back to correct it. 2) Went in (recently) for advertised *new Ruger Mark IV Target advertised for 549.99. Was charged full-price (uh oh). Called and was able to correct that over the phone. Overall? Mistakes happen as we are all human, what matters is the willingness and attentiveness to correct mistakes. I will continue to recommend Ammo Bros. - Ontario as a good alternative to Turner's - Ontario. I have been going to Ammo Bros to procure ammo and gun accessories for years. Typically their service is not bad but as of late it has been atrocious. Whilst I do understand that we are under Covid restrictions and etc it is not an excuse 9 months later to not come up with a better system. Last three times I have gone to wait in line for some ammo (I understand the shortage) they have informed me they do not have any of the 4 calibers I was looking for after waiting for 3 hours on a Thursday morning. Their online inventory is not synced up, they don't answer their phones AT ALL, and seemed more annoyed that we are there instead of wanting to help. As we are now 9 months into this "pandemic" I would expect a company to adapt and create more intuitive options such as appts, phone responses/ordering, and etc. Luckily, due to our great California laws prohibiting shipping of ammo directly to your address if not an FFL, they understand they have us by the balls. Fortunate for me I have been able to procure all the items to start making my own ammo instead of having to rely on companies such as Ammo Bros. Not only has this driven my business away from this company, I will never recommend this company to anyone and strive to drive business away until they fix some of these issues. read more

I've always heard bad things about Ammo Bros and if I'll be honest I called the store in Cerritos a couple of years ago and wasn't impressed. This was sort of my last shot at buying this gun from a store front before I went to gun broker. I tried to purchase this from sportsman warehouse, bass pro and turners...ammo bros was about 130-150 cheaper than the other places, I won't lie the line was long. We waited for almost two hours but the young lady that would come out and grab your information was extremely helpful. Since we weren't drosing the gun she let us move ahead of three other people and walked over to the computer to order the gun. It's a Xmas gift but for some reason they didn't let us pay for it in full so we paid the 20% down and purchased the difference in gift cards. Once we were in the store it was a quick 15 minute process and I left there very happy with my purchase. The only suggestion I would make would be that the people working the register should suggest accessories for the gun, I completely forgot about buying ammo for this cannon and when I checked their website they have the ammo in stock. read more

This place...I don't even know where to start. 1. I called them several times to inquire about an item. The phone rang and rang and rang with no answer and no voicemail. I emailed them and they responded with a very generic email. It's much easier to speak to them and be able to ask all my questions instead of emailing incessantly but that was not an option. Since this place has decent reviews, my family and I decided to drive out there and see for ourselves what they had in stock. 2. When we arrive we see a line of about 6-8 people waiting to get into the store. We didn't think much about it because we've had to wait at other places due to COVID. We wait for about 30 minutes and two people leave the store and 1 person is allowed inside. While speaking with the couple in front of us they tell us they've been there 3 times and had to wait 2-3 hours before they could go into the store. At this time, a store employee comes out to take names and to let us know that it will be at least another hour to an hour and a half before we can go in, by that time it's closing time. I asked if we would still be taken in even if the store is closed and the young man says he doesn't know if they will or will not let us shop. At this point we decided to go to another shop and we purchased what we were looking for without having to wait in line. This is extremely poor customer service and the manager should receive remedial training in customer satisfaction and how to run a business. read more
