Staff has always been very helpful and is extremely knowledgeable. I purchased an Sig Sauer P365 XL from their website, which was very easy. Once you pay for the gun, you contact them and obtain the serial number. I showed up with a 10 day waiver and the process was very quick and easy. Customer service is terrible here, such a shame. This place is geared towards first responders and they sure don't seem to be pro-law enforcement at all. Long wait times even when there are no customers. Do NOT select this place for FFL transfers or pick-ups or even firearm purchases. It's honestly worth going elsewhere and paying a little more. This was my first time visiting the shop, and I was genuinely impressed by both the quality of the products and the excellent customer service I received during my visit. I initially came in to purchase a new slide for my G19 and a red dot sight. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the representative who assisted me, but he was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and dedicated to providing top-notch customer care. He took the time to walk me through all the red dot options available, explaining the features and benefits of each in detail. His patience and expertise made the entire experience both informative and enjoyable. I ended up purchasing not only the G19 slide I came for but also one for my G17, along with two red dot sights, the Holosun 507C X2 and the Aimpoint Acro P2. To top it off, the representative even installed the red dots onto my new slides before I left. The overall experience was outstanding, and I'll definitely be returning in the future. If you make the mistake of coming here, make sure you get the right person to assist you. They will do everything they can to ensure you DO NOT walk out with the firearm you purchased. I went to Pro Force start the DROS on my online Glock order. First of all, I already had great experience chatting with the manager the Mikey on Yelp. So a couple of negative reviews didn't really bother me. I went in around 2pm. I didn't wait at all and got to the business right away. I didn't get the name of the sales associate who helped me but he was very professional and even picked out my mistake on the DROS form and fixed it. I don't really mind waiting at the gun shops because it takes a lot of time for each customer but I was in and out less than 30 minutes. Stopped by to pick up something for an upcoming tournament. Line was short. Sale associate was not too helpful. We were trying to purchase some rounds, but the sales associate said that we are unable to purchase them because of our address. We asked him how we can possibly change it, and he said that he does not know. The only way we can purchase some rounds was to buy a firearm and register it to our new address. I was not planning to get a new firearm, so I left without purchasing anything. Parking lot was small. This place is clean and they have bottle water for customers on a hot day. read more

I was in the market for a concealed carry option and found Pro Force online. Luckily I am retired military because these guys specialize in catering to LEA & First Responders. Once they verified my credentials I explained what I was looking for and the guy quickly brought me three options. He answered each of my questions with respect and versatile knowledge. I tried giving this place a try after numerous warning about Proforce. I placed a weapon on hold and went to start the process to pick up. Upon arrival, I discovered I forgot my drivers license. No biggie. I tried looking for it while the dude helping me was getting me the price for the weapon since he did not know. Upon returning from my vehicle, I told him I could not find it and advised him I would return. Upon returning two minutes later, he was helping someone else out and I advised him I could not find it. I asked him if I could have the price so I know what I'm paying when I return and he said he will give me the price then. I asked for the price again and he said he was busy right now (without bothering to look at me) and continued with what he was doing . I immediately walked out. Not sure what the issue is, but I will never purchase a weapon here again. Customer service is key to any business. I rather take my money elsewhere and recommend others to do the same. read more

This is in response to the reply by Mikey from Proforce. You completely ignored the entire point of my review. You instead chose to focus and attack the ammo FFL aspect in an attempt to deflect. The issue isn't that your store doesn't FFL ammo. The issue is your employees have been consistently rude every single time I've been there or called. I am not the only one that has had issues with this, and the fact that you'd rather ignore this is telling. You need to admonish your staff and actually monitor their behavior. It's a business and customer service should be top notch. As for the ammo transfers, I called AFAB down the street and they were more than happy to help me. The rounds I needed were on the more obscure side, but they said they could procure what I need in the future. So, based on their helpfulness and good attitudes I'll be sourcing my ammunition through them. I will be telling everyone I know to avoid Proforce. If they need law enforcement specific stuff or pricing, I'll be sending them to Allstate in Pomona or LAPRAAC in LA. read more

I made an appointment for 10:45 at the Brea location. It wasn't packed but it wasn't slow. I waited over 30 minutes and still wasn't helped. What's the point of making an online appointment if you're not even going to be seen at that time? I waited until I still wasn't helped after 40 minutes. I had to account for not only my wait time but to also shop for a firearm and go through with a purchase. I wasn't trying to spend all day here there. That's the point of the appointment. Tyler got me DROSed and done with the paperwork in about 15 minutes including magazine purchase. - If you're looking for tactical firearms, this is the place. Also, they have much more inventory than any store. - You can't beat the prices here. CONS: - Without an appointment, you could be waiting a very long time. Response to Mikey (business owner): I can understand the contractual relationship you have with Glock. However, none of your advertising (I've since unsubscribed to your email fliers, don't see the point receiving those anymore) mentions any stipulations, other than individual items for sale market "Active LE only". You might want to place an additional disclaimer on your flier stating "Per our contractual relationship with Glock, we can only sell to active LE or BSIS open carry permit holders with an agency letter on letterhead." Also thought it was kinda funny that your own salesperson recommend to go to Turner's. Like Gandalf traveling to Moria, I'd only go there if I had no other choice. I've always wanted a semi-auto shotgun but a Benelli M4 isn't in the budget right now. Someday...unless you restrict sales on those for active LE only as well. Also, please, get rid of the Strike Industries line...with the exception of their "buffalo wing" baseplates for Glock magazines, their product line is hot garbage (or that might be the FCD in me). read more

Best sales rep, hands down, Austin! went in to purchase 2 weapons. keep in mind, the process for all the paperwork takes a long time. They have to be thorough. Soon as we thought we were done with all the paperwork, they realized, my passport was expired! I felt awful that Austin had worked up all that paperwork, after struggling with the slow computer system. Needless to say, Austin assured me, everything would be okay, soon as I returned with my current passport. I've purchased several firearms from Pro Force. Overall, the service has been mediocre at best. They make you wait for long periods of time without any acknowledgment whatsoever. They have a large selection of firearms for law enforcement, which is a plus. If you purchase firearms from them, my recommendation is, DO NOT purchase used firearms there. They sold me a non workable Mossberg 12 gauge 500 warchdog. I took it to the shooting range and realized the firing pin was b/o. I called Pro Force to seek some assistance in going about getting the firing pin repaired. Their response was very "Matter of fact " as they told me the product was sold as is and to call Mossberg for warranty info. I asked the Pro Force representative if Mossberg honored warranty on a used firearm and his response was, "Oh that's a good question. Probably not." This incident left a bad taste with me. I overall like Pro Force, because of their selection, but I would highly advise not to purchase "used" from them. read more

I visited Pro Force recently to purchase a few items and I recommend this shop to other first responders/LEOs looking to get gear for work. I went as a walk in, though it might have been a better idea to call ahead and book an appointment. It took a while to be seen by the staff, but in all honesty, there were only a couple of staff members available, and since they focus on each individual customer, I knew that my patience would pay off. These folks work hard, and they have a lot of details to manage, so I would suggest cutting them some slack if they're a bit tired and aren't as friendly as someone who works at Macy's (as first responders/LEOs, I'm sure we've all been there, right?). I went to pick up my gun today. Salesman "Jeremiah" was very abrupt with me, and his overall attitude LACKED customer service skills. He made me feel as if he wanted me to sign paperwork without me reviewing what I was signing so that he could move on to something else. Perhaps he was having a bad day? I'm not sure. While i was reviewing, important, DOJ paperwork, and before I, actually, signed and dated it, he said that I will get a copy of what I was signing. I'm thinking to myself, "Well, that's great, but, I need to review what I'm signing first." I felt completely RUSHED by him, and he was NOT courteous toward me at all. I understand that Pro Force may be short-handed on staff, but to rush customers through signing paperwork, without reviewing it, especially when buying a firearm, is completely unacceptable. So. Pro Force has kind of become "the" gun store for local law enforcement for a few years. This is probably because they have advertised well with their nice fliers going directly to police stations and occasional celebrity appearances. It's a blue only store so you'll need law enforcement credentials to even get in the door. Their prices are good but you can find comparable at other businesses. So, I have to admit the good before the bad. The selection is often decent and most of my interactions with their staff have been polite and courteous. The counter sales people I have dealt with have always been kind and knowledgeable. The bad is that you will spend way more time waiting than is even close to reasonable. Like ridiculous amounts of time. In the course of four visits I think my average wait time was about three hours and that's only the average. I think one day we waited almost five. Had we not been there to pick up a gun we would've left. When coworkers found out I had been at ProForce they all joking make comments about how long I must've spent there. While this wait is silly what makes it so bad is the slight air of smugness at the fact you are waiting so long if you ask the manager or front counter where you're at in line. It's not outright rude, they are just numb to the complaint enough that they simply do not care to hear it anymore. There is not even the hint of apology that you gave up an entire day to pick up a firearm for work. Even when you get called in and do the DROS paperwork in about 20 minutes it simply doesn't add up why you've waited so long when there were only a half a dozen people ahead of you. In conclusion, while ProForce has a decent selection the $50 I save on buying a gun there simply isn't worth the several hours the process takes. Until ProForce take my time as seriously as they want to take my money it is unlikely I will buy from them again...especially when there are other blue only gun stores 30 minutes away who treat me better. read more

In all honesty, I don't know how the waitlist works here, but I called in at 8 AM and was told it's by a walk-in basis only and that they stop accepting after 9:30 AM. I called again at 1 PM and this time around the lady offered to put my name on a waitlist by providing my phone number. Considerate and much appreciated. Since I have arrived at 1:30 PM, it has been six (possibly seven by the time they call me in) hours sitting in my car. I'm second in line on the waitlist, but I see so many males arriving in a group of three to four and leaving one by one when I should only have one person ahead of me. At least that's what I thought??? I don't understand, and I don't appreciate waiting this long just to provide paperwork for a gun that I haven't received yet but have to come back estimated 10 days later to pickup. There should be a better system that if you're there to browse and shop, come before a certain time or day. Everything else like picking up merchandise or doing paperwork should be done separately.. in my opinion. The wait is ridiculous and overwhelming. I don't even feel like writing a review about my experience inside anymore because it's almost closing hours and I haven't been assisted yet! read more

I've been a customer of Pro Force for almost 8 years. I've purchased weapons, accessories, ammo, and even met Mr. Ermey. My son and I were first in line to get my son a Glock 19 with the blue line discount on 10/16/2020. Well they had no Glocks left, so my son placed his name on a list to get one when they received more. Well now it's 2021 and Glock no longer accepts EMT's, paramedic's and or Fire into their discount program. I explained to the Pro Force employee that my son was on the list, but he said my son was not on the list and even if he was, he was no longer able to get the Glock. I asked if Pro Force would still honor the offer we waited for over 7 hours and the Pro Force employee said "no." Very Poor customer service! I'll be spending my money somewhere else and letting everyone know Pro Force and Glock no longer recognize EMS and Fire. read more

One of the worst customer service companies I've had to deal with in a while. Hours spent traveling and waiting. Went to Turners after 6 hours of waiting (got there at 6 in the morning to stand in line) and walked out 30 minutes with the same gun. The receptionist, didn't catch his name, is a real bastard. He tried to tell me my gun letter was not sufficient. The same gun letter had been used at the same location by coworkers. The same letter was used at Turners without an issue. Work on customer service. Most of us will suck it up. Not me. I know Covid has changed things but if Turners can hire more people maybe Proforce should do the same. read more

This place should be called criminal force. These guys just robbed me of $121. They should be ashamed of themselves. Got them all the documents to purchase a weapon. Waited two hours to pick up. Have all my documents from Post ! They seriously wanted me to show them a certificate I can't find ! Having the document from post ! That I graduated. They have the nicest gun shop staff there, everyone from internet customer service, to counter service staff have been really good. The only problem that I see is that they don't have enough people to run the counter. Also the process can be expedited, while waiting, get your paper work filled out in your car or set up a tent outside. If you look at the LE gun sale model, 90% of the time, they know what to buy, so getting the paper work done would really speed things up. Have some one outside get the IDs ready, DROS started, once you get to the counter, quick look at the gun and complete the sale. Also, the website should have the current procedure on how to complete a purchase, like what time does the wait list start, best time of the week to come, something to help us out, right now, it's kinda hit and miss. Overall, great place, good prices, but the process to complete the gun purchase is a bit slow. read more

Every time I call and ask a question, the staff is very rude. Most of the time won't even assist you ended up purchasing firearm for cheaper somewhere else with a way better customer service. Also majority of the time when I'm here I have to wait in line for hours when I go to other places yes they do. Cost a little bit more money sum of the time, but do not have to wait in line for hours. If you do come here, just don't expect always to have the best customer service and you will wait in line most of the time for a long time. read more
