This place has not only a kick ass selection of drool inducing customs and variety, it has awesome customer service, accessories of all shapes and sizes...did I mention awesome customer service? Look, AFAB isn't the only game in town. There are several other great shops within driving distance of AFAB...and that's a great thing! What I liked about AFAB is THEY KNOW THIS. They don't claim to be the best, or the one all be all. What they do is greet you with a smile, a passion for the hobby, knowledge, and an eagerness to help you. This was my first time at this shop and I left extremely impressed. I was simply there to pick up some FFL'd ammo. The rounds I ordered online were a bit more rare than most shops carry, so I felt my only choice was to do an online order. After being rudely refused and tossed off by ProForce, I contacted AFAB who happily helped me with my ammo transfer! Once I was all said and done with the process, they proceeded to tell me that should I wish to support my local brick and mortar shop, they would gladly source me the same rounds when needed. That's how you do it. Did they make much off my online FFL transfer? No, but their willingness to help a fellow enthusiast get what they need regardless was totally evident in their attitude. This place is full service greatness! The owners Antony and David are so cool. I purchased an FMK (made right here in the OC) which is like a Glock 19 but $150 cheaper. It comes with a manufacturer's LIFETIME WARRANTY (ah-mazing). They offered a trigger/mag release service as an add on feature. They had it in stock during COVID. Ah-mazining. They can pretty much order you anything you want. The DROS background check with the DOJ cleared exactly as estimated and I was able to pick up my gun in a timely manner. They are also gun smiths, can customize anything and everything. They also do custom builds. And on top of all that they also make their own AMMO. Lastly you can use them for FFL services/xfrs. Please give this place a try. The owners are passionate about firearms and willing to educate you, share their knowledge and hopefully get you set up on the right path. There are no stupid questions. I first posted the following review on 9/7. The next day I discovered that it had been buried. If this has been AFAB'S practice since they opened their doors then the public is not getting an accurate assessment of the way this business operates. I brought in 2 pistols on 6/21/23 to have sights installed. I also asked for a price on a Cajun trigger for the CZ. Dave, the owner, said the work would take 2 1/2 weeks. In the following 6 weeks I called 3 times, not to complain, but to ask for a price on the trigger. At nine weeks I got a price - the one and only call from AFAB. At the end of 11 weeks I received an email - the only email I ever got - asking if it was okay to order the sights. The attitude of my response via email clearly conveyed that I was not pleased. I added that I intended to pick up the pistols. The following day there was no email response from AFAB. The next day on 9/7 I finally had an opportunity to pick up the guns. While at the store there was no sign of concern or attempt to inquire why I lost all confidence in this business. When I got home I realized that the 1911 magazine was missing. I emailed that they could keep it, that I had no intention of ever setting foot in that store again [To date no effort from AFAB to apologize or return the magazine has been made whether by phone or email.] I've bought and sold guns for 45 years and remain an active shooter. Over that time I have dealt with a few gunsmiths - sadly, my last one retired. But of all the gun stores I've ever dealt with, no other encounter comes remotely close to the exceptionally bad experience I just had with AFAB. AFAB's showroom is one of the most creative I've seen. Dave, the owner, was pleasant to talk to the first and only time I met him on 6/21. I tip my hat to any gun establishment still open in So.Cal - so many moved out of state long ago. AFAB could be a fabulous gun store that I would enthusiastically recommend to several shooters I know. But sad to say, my experience revealed the store's indifferent and dishonest underbelly. The service at AFAB is great. The owner Dave and his wife are fantastic to deal with. Joey is super knowledgeable about the products, and happy to take time to answer all your questions. One of the great things about this shop is the accessibility, and the approach to display everything out in the open. I've been to several other shops in OC that run more like a jeweler, keeping the selection under lock and key and only pulling one or two items out at a time for you to handle. So i've been putting some thoughts on getting my first firearm and decided to get one. headed over here after finding it on yelp. Very cozy store front tucked away in the industrial area of fullerton. Took my FSC test with David after he helped out a customer prior to me taking their exam. Since I'm new to this with only a few range experience I asked for some help on choosing my first fire arm. He showed me some good first timer options and was very helpful in helping me carefully decide on my first purchase. Jennifer helped me out with the rest of the paper work and was in and out with taking the test to purchasing my first firearm in about an hour. BEWARE this business and its shady customer service. I purchased a glock a month ago and everything seemed great from Antony, he was a great salesman and I even bought an upgraded model, but after the 10 day period and taking home my gun I did a deep inspection and noticed a deep rust cut mark on the inside. I called the next day and they said come in so I went in and David talked to me. I told him I just picked up the gun and showed him the mark and he said "ok, so what do you want me to do about it?" I said "excuse me? I was sold a damaged gun." He said "we aren't going to do anything about it, call glock and they will take care of it" I said wow, that's not ok, but whatever. So I asked can I pick up some 9mm rounds? He said "oh I was supposed to do that but I've been behind"... so I asked about engraving since Antony said you guys can do it, he said "yea we can do it, IT TAKES ABOUT TWO WEEKS, I'll send you the fonts and you can choose." A week later I went in and asked David about an update, he said "oh crap, crap crap crap, im sorry man I totally forgot to send the fonts" another blunder by this idiot. So I went in two weeks later and asked again about an update and I was told oh it takes some time, two days later I got an email with a rendering that looked nothing like what I requested. I went in yesterday to ask again (now a month later) and I was told that "these things take time" I said in a nice tone, "it's been a month, I want to shoot my brand new gun and I was told two weeks" I received an email later saying to pick up my gun today I was no longer going to be serviced. WHEN I PICKED UP MY GUN TODAY 2 NEW UNREMOVALBLE STAIN MARKS MAGICALLY APPEARED ON MY SLIDE. Terrible customer service and you probably will get damaged goods. They will be reported. read more

I can't comment on the quality of the work that they did because they never did it. They were supposed to replace the sights on my gun and I was told I was next in line on the machine. I expected to take a couple of weeks or less but after repeatedly trying to get a status over the phone i gave up and visited them and was told that i was next on the machine. The worst communication ever. THe person answering the phone stated they would call back each time and never called. So they get a resounding "F" for communications. read more

I really wanted to love this shop but the greatness is only on the surface now. After bringing in my handgun for some sights to be replaced, the lady told me it would be two weeks. Okay, whatever, I would rather support a local business. Needless to say, several attempts to get updates had fallen on deaf ears or sarcastic remarks like, "everyone else is six to eight weeks so you should be grateful." or "it will be another two weeks." Went in and asked to speak with the owner, that I met awhile back, the old owner isn't there anymore and under new management now, and spoke to the new owner. Told him about my interaction with the lady. Dave walked in back without saying a word and he came back with my pistol, slammed it on the counter and said, "Here, take it, if I wasn't willing to wait then take it somewhere else." I said excuse me, I've waited for over three months with sarcastic answers to my questions and just wanted to know when it will be done. Two weeks isn't three months. While waiting at AFAB one time, I was there talking to another customer who was livid and apparently, they had LOST HIS PISTOL!! I also noticed that if you are a newbie, they seem great! If you actually have been shooting for awhile, you find out really quick the answers to your questions are very vague, and backed by other peoples opinions, not actual experience or even the correct answers. When they first opened, the guys were passionate about the business and were a wealth of knowledge. Now, it's just all about the money and they act like they're doing you a favor.
