These guys are amazing, really a stellar experience throughout. I have a 17 inch Macbook Pro that I bought back about 4 years ago when the last 17 inch laptops were being made by Apple. I love this thing, I do a lot of computing and processing and remote server access with it, and it has worked wonderfully for the life that I've had it.. Until Saturday. I was getting some work done on my computer and had several different applications running simultaneously to get my work done when all of a sudden I got that spinning wheel of death. Except this time it never went away. I rebooted my computer, only for it to start in recovery mode. I looked around and saw that the disk utility said my Macintosh HD was damaged and unrepairable. So I made an appointment with The Genius Bar at Apple and took it in. They hooked it up to their network servers, looked around, ran a few tests, and came to the conclusion that most likely my HD was damaged and that I would need to either do a disk restore or actually swap out my hard drive for a new one, but that I should go get my data recovered before I do that because that would wipe my memory. Not to say that I am a Mac genius by any stretch of the word, but I was skeptical. I have never had any problems with my laptop before, and coincidentally I had just installed mavericks a couple weeks ago, which is when all the slowing and problems originally started. So I went onto locate.apple.com and found Di-No computers, looked at their yelp reviews, and decided to give them a shot. Best decision I ever made. I brought my computer in on Monday and told them the situation. Personally for me, I was willing to pay any amount of money and even purchase a brand new computer if I had to, so long as they could recover the certain files I needed off of my "corrupt HD". They said they would take a look at it to see what the problem was. The next day I got a call from them - not only was my Hard drive in pristine condition, they were able to recover all of my files without much difficulty! Apparently the issue my computer was having was purely software related, possibly due to the mavericks update I had done. They restored my Hard drive, reset everything to my settings I had before my crash, and saved my important recovered files onto a folder on the desktop for me to see. Entire process took 48 hours. They were courteous, professional, and spoke with me and explained each step of the way. An phenomenal experience overall. read more

I went to Di-No Computers today to see if they could salvage my back-up drive that was not mounting. Despite leaving it in service; I spent some time with Mylan who was great! In between helping me try to salvage material off my MacBook ,he multi-tasked by helping other customers who walked-in and when not, he was keeping an eye on a basketball game on a near-by TV. Now to some this may be a turnoff, but for me it was not. I understand that transferring files takes some time and I was SO happy to be entertained while I waited. Mylan offered my some great tips on how to maintain my investment; i.e. a better back-up drive and he pleasantly gave me his contact info. for future troubleshooting. This is NOT what I expected from a non-chain establishment. I would def. go back there to purchase and service future Apple products. My fingers are crossed that they can salvage the material off my old back-up drive. Cheers! read more

Line appears on screen of computer. Look for mac repair shops. Appointments available about one month in the future at local ones. Go to Di-No (local). They immediately look at it, order part, determine that it's under warranty, return computer. Return next day with computer, 2 hours later its fixed, and it's not an easy fix. Everyone was wonderful, treated me as an equal, helpful, hard-working yet relaxed. Doesn't get better than that. Six stars. read more

Well, we were both so impressed by the kind and helpful team at the Di-No Computers. We wasted over three weeks at an unmentionable repair store that sounds kinda like "U Breakie I -misdiagnose and hold your unit for weeks and then try to return it to you non-repairable and charge you up the ying" After making repeated visits and getting promises that never were kept we found the Di-No Store and we're so glad we did. After we had explained the experience we had earlier to Jordan, we were surprised that he would immediately open our defective Apple Lap Top and make his own assessment on the situation. Jordan was so pleasant and so willing to make every effort to find a solution to repair our laptop. Unfortunately for us, our laptop had more defective irreplaceable parts. We seriously realized that we were now in the market for a new computer. Booked an appointment to replace the battery in my iPhone 6, was able to get a reservation in 2 days, which was a couple of days quicker than anywhere else nearby. Small but clean store and the workers were very attentive. Was told it would be around 2-3 hours, but as was getting ready to leave the tech said he could do I while I wait, which only took half hour. I am so happy that I found Di-No Computers! My Macbook was only two years old, but the meanies at the Apple Store "Genius Bar" acted like I was bringing them a fossil. I was getting the "pinwheel" on the login screen that just would not go away. I was extremely worried that I would not be able to recover my work files and photos...and nooo, I had not backed up. The Apple Store turned me away and left me hopeless. Thank goodness a friend mentioned Di-No. I brought the laptop to Di-No and the associate did not hassle me one bit. After 10 or 15 minutes of evaluating the problem, he gave me a time and price estimate. In one week, I had my laptop returned to me in near-perfect condition. All of my files were recovered. The computer was completely operational. The price was fantastically reasonable. And I was spared the humiliation dished out regularly at the Apple Store. I walked in here expecting great service and honesty because of the reviews and that they are Apple certified. Me having a strong background in the tech field I even thought to bring my resume with me incase the place matched my expectations. I walked in a couple days ago because I had a battery problem on my MacBook Pro (mid-2014 model). The older, darker skinned man tried quoting me $340 for the replacement. Something like $240 for the battery and $100 for the labor he said. Sounded like random numbers he threw in the air. I went to the Apple store and they are replacing it for me for a total coast of $144. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Just go to the Apple store. Sucks to think how many other people this place has scammed who don't have a background in technology. Me taking the time to write a negative review about a place is usually not worth my time but if it means saving this much of people's hard earned money then sure. read more

First off, I will start with the fact I was referred to Jordan by a friend of mine. So one would think that is a good thing. Well fast forward to my first phone call to Jordan, where he was super helpful and took time explaining some options which related to problems I have having with my MAC and some solutions he may have for a hard drive. A few weeks later I took my MAC and ended up leaving not buying anything to return the next day to drop off my hard drive to see if any data could be extracted. This was on a Thursday. Jordan said, I need this until Wednesday and I will call you ASAP and let you know if I find anything. Well that following Wednesday came and went. No phone call, nothing. I call Friday, Jordan was off and the lady who answered didn't know what was going on. Said Jordan would be back in the next day and would call. Well Saturday came and went. No call, again. Fast forward to today, Monday. Almost 2 weeks after dropping a hard drive off. Lol. I call at 1pm and ask what's going on. The lady couldn't believe Jordan never called. I said I am coming to get my drive. This is unacceptable. I shouldn't be the one making the phone calls and doing all the work. She agreed. I said make sure my drive is ready. I don't care who is doing what. I don't believe they ever checked anything and never looked at my drive period. I go in today at 4pm. Gave the lady my name. She said "Oh Jordan didn't call you"?! I laughed. He tried to say he couldn't get anything off the drive. Don't believe this guy to save my life. What a WASTE of my time and energy. I will NEVER go back nor recommend anyone to go here. Thank goodness I tested this place out with just a hard drive. I will never bring any equipment or anything of value here. Apparently it would just sit anyways with no attention. Went in today to figure out what was wrong with my hard drive. Thought I was going to have to leave my computer, that the hard drive was dead, and that I had possibly lost all of my files. Turns out it was just the hard drive cable that needed to be replaced and I ended up leaving with a working computer after minutes. But, in the process, they showed such great customer service in their kindness, by explaining everything to me as they went along, asking permission for any diagnostics needing to be run, and by suggesting/implementing other ways for my computer to work at a more optimal level. I had to replace my phone battery for my iPhone 6s. I called to see how long it would take to get my battery replaced and ready to go. They estimated about 2-4 hours. This place is awesome! I brought my old macook here after spilling liquid on it. It was $50 to diagnose (the apple store charged a flat fee of $800). They ordered the part I needed for free, and didn't charge me anything more to install it! They called me every step of the way to inform me of what was going on and to give me options, and my laptop was fixed in less than a week. The people in the store are really nice too. The gentleman who helped me, Monty A., sat with me for a little over two hours making sure that my "old" computer worked as well as it could. Di-No is awesome! They quickly fixed my MacBook Pro after a month of it crashing almost constantly. AppleCare and the Genius Bar claimed the only solution was for me to give them my Mac for an unspecified amount of days to replace the harddrive. Trouble is that I would have had to rent a Mac, load it with my software and files while I was without mine and then reinstall everything when I got my Mac back. Di-No listened carefully to my description of the symptoms and patiently waited for my Mac to crash. They calmly diagnosed the problem and fixed it on the spot, while I watched. And this wasn't the first time they saved me money and a huge amount of time! Soon after I got my MacBook Pro the screen went and AppleCare expected me to give it up for days for repair. This time Di-No ordered the new screen, called me when it got there and replaced it while I waited. Definitely 5 star service! And friendly too. read more

I called Di-No around 10 AM to let them know that I would be bringing my computer and failing hard drive in. They said no problem and to drop them off. I dropped them off around 11:30. They quickly checked me in and said they'd call me when they had an update on backing my failing drive up to my MacBook Pro. I received a call from the tech, Monty, later that afternoon that the drive was in real bad shape, but he was doing everything he could to recover my "priceless" data. He even took it home on his lunch break to continue working on it from his computer. The next day I got a call that he was successful in saving my data! I was so grateful. I sent my computer in to get fixed. It was running slow and would freeze whenever it was moved. I sent it in the first time, they replaced the battery and hardrive under the warranty. I brought it home it still ran slow and still froze. I wondered if they had even done anything to it. I brought it back. When I came to pick it up the second time they said they took it entirely apart and tightened every screw. It worked much better. It no longer froze or anything and ran smoother... unfortunately the keys that light up are all now extremely dim now except for the center ones. Don't know how that happened. I'm not going back because I don't feel like bothering them anymore. Everything was done free under the warranty anyway... I give them the "ok" or "ok-ish" if you don't mind making trips. I arrived to have my external hard-drive serviced and to investigate as to the purchase of 2 computers. After the representative's attention to the explanation about my visit I was informed that the hard-drive repair faced 4 possibilities. These were communicated to me. And, as far as the computer purchases were concerned, I was 1) informed that what I needed was to purchase one computer at another location where I would obtain it at a promotional (and better) price and 2) instead of purchasing a new computer (which could have very well been sold to me at this location) I simply needed to upgrade my existing computer. Thus, neither of the computers were marketed to me at this establishment. This honesty and integrity is consistent with the 2 or 3 other times that I have done business at this establishment. I absolutely love Di-no! They have helped me on three separate occasions with my Mac computers and at a fraction of the cost. I find the Genius bar suuuuupeer unhelpful, and a rip-off. No matter what the issue I had was, they would always refuse to fix it under warranty because they would find 'water damage,' even if the computer worked perfectly and I only had an issue with exterior parts (ex: charger tip breaking off inside computer). Di-no always fixed it and would put it under my warranty. This last time, I actually DID have water damage, but only needed the keyboard replaced since everything else worked for the time being. I'm sure my water damage will eventually erode my comp, yada yada, but I didn't want to pay for a whole new comp when this one was only six months old and I had paid for the warranty. They quoted me less than $250 when the Apple Genius bar was going to charge me $750 to have it fixed! If you have a mac and don't want to deal with the bs apple repair service, I highly recommend bringing your computer to Di-No. You'll most likely get a better deal, and much more use out of your warranty. Seriously, my experience with the Apple store is that they will do just about anything they can to not let your repairs fall under warranty. read more

Took my MacBook to DI-NOs...It was a Friday night, winding down from work, I work from Home most days of the week. Wasn't finished adding info to my Excel spreadsheet, almost done. Decided to crack a cold one. Sat down, got bit by a big Mosquito on the top of my foot. I reflexed and my leg jumped, hitting my hand with the cold one, and spilled all over my MacBook. I grabbed it quick, turned it upside down on my bed. Leaving it alone for 2 days, it powered on, but I couldn't delete or use a couple of my alphabet keys...Called Apple Care, they recommended DI-NO computers said they were Apple Certified. Went there on Sunday, they were closed. Went back and Monday, explained what happened, and I left it there. They couldn't look at it until the following day. When I spoke with Martin, he said I didn't mess it up too badly. All I needed was a new top piece, basically folks, I need a new keyboard top piece and that I thought so quickly, no fluids got to my mother board, if that's what you call it....Martin said he needed 2 days. He had to order another one. On March 20th, at almost close, I was able to pick it up and have it for the weekend, so I could catch up with the work I do from home.....THANK YOU MARTIN AND DI-NO COMPUTERS...GOD BLESS YOU.
