Eating at this Denny's today and the parking lot is huge and the staff is friendly and well groomed and this place is kept very clean and there is a large selection on the menu to choose from I highly recommend this restaurant to others

Elisa S.

Service was good and I gotta say despite it being very busy when we went, the waiter was very attentive. Overall, the food was solid! You can't go wrong with a breakfast meal. The only ick I had was that the utensils were dirty. Two forks had food remnants left on them. The manager was quick to get me a replacement but it just made me second guess how clean everything else was.

Mac N Brisket Skillet $19.99

Wanted to give this new location a try. Looked over the menu several times to decide on a winner. Decided on the Mac N Brisket Skillet as it looked a bit unusual. The Mac was ok, the brisket was a bit dry on the inside ( a side of bbq sauce would help), and the onion rings were ok. The service was ok (Yesica M). The location was clean and had a brand new feel to it. Nothing really to write home about. All in all the experience was ok.

Come for a $10 Super Slam (worth $15 if you build the Grand Slam yourself) or the BeetleJuicy burger (triple bacon cheeseburger for $17! a double cheese no bacon is already $17). The new decor and clean interior really makes it a worthy visit even though it's just... Denny's 5 stars for me because they literally checked up on me every 5-8 minutes even though I ate by myself and only got a Super Slam. I needed my 4 water refills after waking up dehydrated but hungry enough to drag myself. It was Monday 10am and all the damn tables were filled! Full house on a Monday morning, this new location reeled everyone in. Goodbye Carrows :( but we all welcome a fresh new Denny's conveniently located on San Gabriel Blvd and the 60 fwy

Sean you are amazing! Everyone check out the new Dennys here in Rosemead where the old Carrows used to be. They fixed it up beautifully. I love the modern relaxed feel. The food came out perfect and was delicious. Please say hi to the kind hostess Sean he is hilarious. He just set the tone of the rest of our experience. I can't wait to come back!

Finally! A restaurant that took over Carrows, which has been closed for years. It's exciting to have a diner 24/7 nearby again! Came on a Sunday with lots of tables available. Service was great and food came quick. You can tell the waitress was still very new to the ordering system so she took a minute inputting our orders. The menu is very extensive! The zesty nachos was just as amazing as it was before. It has always been a favorite of mine. The country fried steak & eggs were good too! We tried to Mac and Cheese sizzling brisket, it was great too! French toast slam and chicken sandwich were subpar. Overall, a great comfort spot for a quick bite without long wait times!

Today was definitely the perfect day. Knowing what I know now as I write this review, we would return & bring friends here. It's about 78 to 80°F on a Friday a few minutes before 1 pm, surprisingly, it was low key--only a couple tables taken indoors by patrons and a set of guys on the patio. At the door, it said to seat ourselves & I immediately shot to the patio. The set up: once seated, the server comes with menus, you order & it's a sit down meal. Giselle was our friendly & attentive server, young & attentive. Hubby ordered the breakfast burrito ($11.50) & I opted for build your own omelette $11.50 for a 3 egg omelette & choice of two items- mushroom and bell peppers accompanied with breakfast potatoes, and chilaquiles ($13.99) to share. The patio seating is fresh, airy, there are tables, outdoor furnitures (sofas) and bright orange umbrellas for shade. My photos captured these elements. The food arrived shortly, although not all at once. I didn't mind it all because the ambiance was so soothing with the sound of birds chirping away and the background of other patrons talking. The only complaint from Hubby was too many pototo chunks in his burrito. My omelette was hot, fresh ingredients, delectable & the potatoes were mixed with 3 colors of bellpeppers. Oh and the chilaquiles? Pretty darn good! The tortilla chips were crispy, perfect amount of green salsa, freshly diced onions & a sprinkling of cotija cheese. Was I famished or was it that good that I devoured everything? What's left was Hubby's potato chunk discards. Giselle returned a few times to ensure our experience is to our satisfaction & another staff also stopped by to check on us. Such a perfect meal & day-- I'm so happy with this visit. First off, go to your local diner. Wherever it is. Entrepreneurship is the spirit and blood I think of big this beautiful place we live in. At its core, I believe it exist in places like your local diner. But I'm gonna get off my soapbox. As long as I've been a patron of this restaurant, it has been the same family running it and that is probably on the higher side of maybe 20 years. This restaurants food is authentic both on the Mexican side as well as the American side. Their flavors are consistent and a great value on the portion side as well. Ok the food: breakfast The pancakes are a must. Just really good. Try them. The omelets are top notch. Bacon, Broccoli and Swiss don't miss. Whichever side you choose whether potato or cottage cheese and a slice of tomato with an English muffin (you're welcome) are solid choices. The Bun N Burger special omelet is also a great choice. Steak chunks, onions, peppers, guacamole and cheese. Yeah, that. I do no peppers and extra onions myself. Delicious. Chilaquiles (the red) with steak and two fried eggs. A big ole plate of buenos días. Machaca is also in the rotation here for me. With extra salsa on the side. Highly enjoyable. Chile verde, fried eggs with rice and beans. Big yes. Side of bacon here is a low key must btw. Breakfast burritos on point too. But that's usually a to go thing for me. Burgers: Their burger special is the best burger deal locally. Go find out. I love their patty melt with their waffle fries on the side. They include a pickle slice too. Classic. The shakes here are a made in the metal cup the old school way and brought to you in the metal cup as well. My favorite way to have them. I could go on but I've said enough. Lovely family running a great restaurant. You could say ima fan.

We got it mild because my wife can't handle spicy. The fried chicken was crispy and so juicy unlike other places where it comes out soggy from the coleslaw and sauce. Ube French toast was pretty good. For me it was a little heavy. Flavor wise it reminded me of deep fried carnival desserts with a ube filling. Probably better to order this if you plan on sharing with a few people. My only complaint is the ube latte. It tastes more like cocoa the ube, but overall everything was a great first time experience. Definitely will stop by again if I'm in the area.

I ordered a hot tea since I was feeling under the weather. The tea did not come with its own little teapot and had to be refilled by our server by taking my cup and bringing it back to me. I ordered the Patty Melt cause it's my go to for diner places when I can't decide and chose Garlic Fries because I'm a sucker for garlic anything. My husband caved in and got their 1776 Burger special that was made in celebration for America celebrating 250 years of freedom. The food came quicker than expected and we dug right in. The Garlic Fries were a bit oily and definitely garlicky, but good. The Patty Melt was great and I love how then use the marbled rye bread. I looked over at my husband who was wanting me to give his burger a try, but it looked too messy and saucy for my liking and let him enjoy his meal. Also had the lamb chops, which is one of their most popular dishes, and I can see why. The lamb was cooked perfectly, soft juicy, super easy to eat. I loved that there was chimichurri sauce provided on the side and it went well with everything, including the mashed potatoes and vegetables. Seeing the server and an Asian staff coming out from kitchen confirmed that the cooking wasn't fully American taste bud. But that is the reason why it hit me very well. Honestly, whether you have American or fusion or Asian taste bud, the taste quality is better than some average American restaurants. I tried the butter squash soup, lamp chop, and bow tie pasta with chicken. I was enjoying my soup and lamp chop a lot. The pasta was pleasant to me, but it wasn't exceptionally great compared to the lamp chop. My fiancé loved the pasta though, saying that the sauce wasn't overwhelming. It is not a cheap place to come for, but it is because the food and drinks (good white wine) have quality. The wait for the entrees was a little long, even though it wasn't that busy. I believe it was the chef spending time to make sure each dish was done well, unlike the busy restaurant where chefs only follow the restaurant's recipes to make it quick and easy. Lastly, the ambience was okay, but it was more an older fine dining/family owned style. It had some nostalgic vibe if you'd take it that way. Keep it up. I really hope it will be there forever long.

Well worth it; I eat burritos half this size for the same price in downtown LA. Ordered a side of hash browns they were solid as well. Only gripe would be that there wasn't much bacon or sausage in it (comes with both but needs more of both.) Melaniya served me proper. This was a great start we'll definitely be back to try the waffles always a gamble finding a crisp one, but they claim it so we will find out soon enough.
