Been coming to Alondras aka Awsom Wings for years now and let me tell you they always treat my family like family. The food is amazing, Arling sauce is wings pizza is and the fries . The staff always friendly and they always make sure we have everything we need. Thank you for that. The ambiance is family friendly and always a vibe

There is street parking and a lot in the back. We were greeted right away and got sat shortly after. We ordered or drinks and the cheese balls to start off. Then we placed our order of 16 wings, and a 16" pizza. I wished there was more cheese in the appetizer, but the garlic butter was delicious. The food was the best thing about this place. The wings were hot and the aroma of BBQ sauce was so strong! It was delicious! The pizza was good too. The service wasn't that great. There werent that many guests while we were there. There were about 4 servers/runners that I saw on the floor. I asked our server for a refill. About 5 minutes passed, and another person came by to check on us; asked them for another refill. Another couple of minutes passed, and still nothing. Our server came back, and I asked for another refill. It was another few minutes that passed, but I finally got it after asking 3x. We also ordered the lava cake for dessert and our server said it came with 2 scoops of ice cream. However when it got delivered, there was only one scoop on there. We just accepted it, ate it, and left. Service could have been a lot better, but food was delicious.

Previously Alondra's, AWSOM Wings still does pizza, burgers, and wings, but their menu has downsized. My family went during a Sunday around lunch; it was a pretty quiet dining room. Service was fine; there was only one server working the main dining room (the other side of the restaurant was closed). The decor is still the same, a little outdated but just clean enough to be decent. The three of us ordered the buffalo cauliflower bites to start (this appetizer could've easily been an entree with how many cauliflower pieces there were), and we got the chicken bacon avocado sandwich, the buffalo chicken sandwich, and the pepperoni pizza off the kids menu. Everything was good! Nothing crazy but it hit the spot, and it took us back to the Alondra days. The pepperoni pizza was an individual sized pizza, which is pretty big compared to other kid pizzas at other places. Definitely a good spot to try out, just wish it was a little cleaner and they updated the decor to match with their rebrand.

I've been roaming through LA County a lot the past few months because my GF lives over there. We were strolling through Alhambra and she pointed out AWSOM for having decent wings so I wanted to try them out. Buffalo Wild Wings and Wingstop used to be years ago but I'm not a fan anymore so I'm looking for other restaurants to be my new go-to place for wings. Here's what I've tried so far: **AWSOM Famous Cheeseballs: Who doesn't love cheeseballs with a side of marinara? I've heard these were good but they didn't hit the mark. The exterior was extremely hard so I'm sure we had them on their off-night so I will be trying it another time. **Individual Multi-Topping Pizza: You can get up to 5 toppings for a single price so I opted to get pepperoni, green bell peppers, and black olives. For a wing place, their pizza was incredible. The crust was heavily coated with garlic so that's a plus. Every single topping had a generous amount and it's plenty of food for an average adult. **Medium Buffalo Wings: Solid buffalo wings. Wings had plenty of meat and sauce. Flavor was spot on so no complaints. Everything we've had were great. I've been here twice and the service has been spectacular both times. They have a great selection of beer on tap including my favorites, Elysian's Space Dust and Golden Road's Mango Cart.

I actually recently went here tonight. Our server was named Amanda and she was very nice and sweet to us and to her customers. We ordered the buffalo chicken fries, and it was just not really good at all. The fries were smothered with buffalo sauce and it made the dish very soggy and not delicious at all. I feel like you should just sprinkle a little bit of buffalo sauce and not like the whole bottle. The french fries was also not crispy like what you would think. It tasted like it was microwaved and NOT fried. But our chicken wings that we ordered, were perfect. I would definitely come back for the chicken wings, but NOT for the french fries. The ambience here was very loud, but that's okay because there was a football game going on. And the fans were cheering for their favorite team. Served Amanda was AWSOM!!! Chicken Wings were AWSOM!!! Buffalo Chicken Fries were... NOT awsom :(

    10" Pesto Chicken - missing a piece?

Ordered 10" pesto chicken pizza as takeout for lunch. Order was ready after 10 mins after the pickup time frame but was not even hot. I opened the pizza as soon as I got to the car and it was already room temp. Plus it looked like a slice was cut out of it..

We had a Special birthday dinner party at the Alhambra location. It was all around PERFECT! It met every accommodation & I couldn't have asked for more! The owners: GARO & DANNY were open to my requests, staffed us w/an EXCELLENT Server: CHUY who fit in & treated us like family, his hard work did not go unrecognized. The 20+ guests were content w/convenient parking to choose from, the amazing food, the music was to everyone's liking & the atmosphere was Just the vibe to fill the Birthday girls heart 110% THANK YOU AWSOM/ALONDRA's !! As a team we all agreed on going to AWSOM for our Christmas holiday event. Walked in and was greeted by one of the owners and we were taken to our table and offered water and were given details of the lunch specials they have. I went ahead and ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and a Cesar salad instead of fries. Presentation of the food was overall amazing and the taste even betters the chicken was fried to perfection and the sandwich overall was put together so nicely. My co workers got the fish and shrimp combo which she said was delicious! The owner realized we had a gift exchange going and decided to join and gifted us a discount card! Thank you so much for that and the comp beignets! You made our holiday lunch even better! Definitely will be coming back. I already have people asking me where did I eat from on my social media so lunch dates coming soon!

    Philly cheesesteak on baguette

I walked into Awsom Wings thinking, "Wait... is this the same space as Alondra's Hot Wings or am I just getting old?" Honestly, I haven't been here in a while, so for all I know it's the same exact building and I'm the one who changed. Either way, the place feels more open and roomy now -- like they pushed the walls out just enough so everyone can inhale properly. The vibe is great for watching sports: big TVs, lots of space, and strangers who will 100% yell at the screen with you like you've known each other for years. I kinda miss the old darker bar vibe (perfect lighting for hiding your tired face), but the new setup is bright, clean, and really easy to hang out in. Now the food -- awsom. Literally. The wings are crispy, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when you order wings. You can't go wrong. I demolished them like I was getting paid by the bone. Tried the Philly cheesesteak too. The meat was just okay for me, but the baguette-style bread? That thing deserves applause. Crunchy outside, soft inside -- like it's been training for this moment its whole life. Their IPA was great too. I forgot the name, but it gave me the perfect smooth buzz to help numb the pain of watching the Lakers lose by 40 points. Honestly, the wings were the emotional support I needed that night. If I have one wish? I wish they would stay open later. Just a little bit. Not asking for 3 AM, just "let me enjoy my wings and feelings for a bit longer" hours. If they expand their hours, that would be truly awsom. Overall: great food, great vibe, great space -- I'm definitely coming back.

Good place to hangout in a big group. Called and asked if we can reserve for a group of 11 for Sunday afternoon, and they gladly did. The interior is pretty spacious. sorry i didnt get to take photos :( but it's like a bar/pub/restaurant they have a wide variety of food as well! Buffalo wings / or flavored, pizzas, salads, pastas, alcohol, and desserts! I got to try their Godfather Pizza and Thai Chili wings and they're fire! Their crust is more on a fluffy side, with garlic parmesan butter spread on top, and the toppings. They're pretty generous on toppings and it was great for sharing! Their Thai Chili wings, despite the size of the chicken (it was pretty small) the flavor was actually good, we were surprised. The sauce was just right and I think it was a bit addicting? My other classmates ordered cauliflower buffalo, salads and more pizzas and I let me tell you, the portions are big! I ordered the beignet for dessert, i had my hopes up but it wasn't the beignets I imagined. The chocolate sauce they provided wasn't really good either and it was pretty disappointing. All in all, a good place to chill, drink and eat. also they add automatic gratuity for big groups and I believed for us it was about 18%

    Is there a kids menu?

Hello Cee! Yes, we do have a great kid's menu.

Is it still Alondra's or did it get bought out?

I believe it was bought out. It seems like it regrouped and prioritized quality and what worked and what didn't so they "reinvented" themselves. The inside looks the same, but the quality and taste of the food is SO MUCH better.

Do you have a happy hour menu?

Hello Lupe, yes, we have a great happy hour menu featuring $6 draft pints and $8 pairing menu. We look forward to serving you soon.

For those visiting, note that there are two separate entrances: the main sit-down restaurant is near the parking lot off Valley, while the take-away entrance is around the back. They have arrows leading to the back, so be sure to follow them. The staff was friendly and offered helpful suggestions. I ordered a small half-cheese, half-sausage pizza ($25.25). The sausage had a great flavor, and the crust was very fluffy and doughy--so if that's your preference, you'll enjoy it. However, the cheese experience was disappointing; it was clumpy, overly salty, and quite oily. The cheese slid off the slices almost immediately, which made for a messy meal. I'm not a fan of a pizza where the toppings don't stay put, and between the excessive grease and the texture of the cheese, it wasn't for me.

Check the case for what's available as a slice. Tip: They also have square pies a la Detroit style. Tip: The pizza transports well and is great the next day. They have a decent cookie as well. To be honest,…read morethis is just an average pizza for me - it sorta reminds me of something you would find at a fair. There's only one size available so that's a problem if it's just you. As you can see, the pizza is huge! Yes, you can buy slices but it makes more financial sense to buy a whole pizza. Next, this is not a "cheesy" pizza. So, if you like all that gooey cheese on your pizza, you're going to be disappointed here. The cheese is so minimal you may ask yourself if there's in fact any cheese on the pizza. The cheesy bread, however, will satisfy your desire for gooey cheese. Highly recommend you pick up a side of the bread. It reheats up nicely too. As pictured, there's inside and outside dining areas. I went when it just opened so there were only a few people dining. Parking here will not be easy. I was told that if you pass the residences, there is ample parking on a vacant lot. This is not the safest neighborhood so if you're a female and you're by yourself, you may not want to park that far and make that walk (especially at night). There is a Dollar Tree across the street with a lot, however, that establishment also tends to draw sketchy characters. So, if easy parking is one of you're requirements, you may want to pass on this place. All in all, this place was more hype and it left me craving that satisfying cheesiness that should be on a pizza. I definitely won't have this place on rotation when I get that pizza craving. No hate, I just love my pizza cheesy. ‍

Recently, my son and I have been making pizzas on Friday nights as a bonding experience while my wife is out with friends. We make some, buy one, and compare. My son usually prefers his homemade, but Petrillo's is the exception! He loved the cheesy cheese pizza and the amazing cheese pull. I ordered half cheese and half their specialty pizza, which includes mozzarella, Romano cheese, house tomato sauce, Italian sausage, pepperoni, salami, mushrooms, onions, and green bell peppers. Their small pizza is 12 inches and has 8 slices, which is much larger than other places. Petrillo's Specialty Pizza is stacked with generous toppings and has a doughy but crispy bottom - the best of both worlds. I enjoyed the Specialty pizza, especially the Italian sausage. While I'm not a mushroom fan, I ate them anyway. I'll likely hold off on mushrooms next time. They provide generous amounts of complimentary crushed red pepper packets, paper plates, and napkins. Parmesan cheese packets cost extra, about $0.50 each, if I remember correctly. The staff were friendly and are local residents, which is always great to see in a mom-and-pop business. You can eat in or order from the take-out counter on the right side. It's best to order ahead to avoid a 20-25 minute wait. My only minor complaint was the pizza was a bit sloppy when I took a picture, but I understand they're busy getting orders out. I will definitely be back to Petrillo's for pizza!

We were greeted by the host and waited about 2-3 minutes to be seated. There were around 4 or 5 tables that were already seated and/or eating. Setting: typical western restaurant with booths and tables. Quite dark inside. We were sat at a booth but the seats had a bunch of residual bread crumbs on them. We had to ask a waiter/busboy to clean off the seats for us. Food: This restaurant is known for their pizza so we ordered their signature pizza to share. We also ordered the fried zucchini appetizer and the spaghetti bolognese which came with a side (Minestrone soup) There was complimentary bread and butter for the table - it was soft and fluffy on the inside and had a nice crust. But it came out cold. Would have been better if it was warmed up. Fried zucchini: well breaded, came with ranch. Portion size was ok, not too big but not too little either. But quite expensive at $11 for an appetizer that did not WOW the table. Minestrone Soup: average, quite salty, given it is early in the evening, the soup should not be this salty whereas the end of the day usually means the soup has been reduced and concentrated by warming/simmering. Spaghetti Bolognese: plenty of meat in the sauce and pretty tasty as well; but the biggest flaw was that the spaghetti was way overcooked. Huge negative for an Italian restaurant - the base/pasta of your dishes should be perfect and this was far from Al dente. Petrillo Signature Pizza: loaded with toppings, they did not cheap out with the toppings and pretty tasty as well; however, another big flaw was that the dough was dry and dense - the dough did not rise. The yeast in the dough was either non-existent or was not given enough time to rise and create the fluffy dough and crust texture of a typical pizza. We basically got dense flatbread. As this was the signature pizza, it was quite disappointing. Service: Average, nothing great. The servers came by a couple times only after the food came out. Could have really stopped by a couple more time to check in. Rating: 2 stars Review summary is based on mainly food quality as the quality of the food, attention to detail, and execution all was very subpar. Given the kitchen was not super busy on a Saturday evening, the poor quality leaves much to desire.

The crust is nice and light with the most perfectly crisped edges. The sauce is flavorful both on and off the pizza - I will admit that I drank any that was leftover with my order of cheesy bread.

Their 4 squares was more than what I had expected. 2 slices filled me up! Location is on the second floor, almost hidden but don't worry, to locate it, just walk west, towards lake st once you're upstairs, it's wrapped around the little brunch spot. You can actually miss it if you're not too familiar. Pizza. Astounding. Definitely fresh ingredients. Tastes like Detroit style. Massive amount of cheese but not too much where it's overpowering. The pepperoni were the right amount as they double up the layers, hence the name. The workers were quick to attend to our needs. Service was definitely what you'd expect for a restaurant. However , dining location indoors only is quite small, maybe about 3-4 tables with shut 4 seats to each. Overall, I would come back and try their other pies, we love pizza and this is our new favorite place to visit when we're in the area!

The mashed potatoes were incredibly soft, creamy, and full of flavor. We ordered the Margherita pizza and a cheese pizza for the kids, and both were delicious. The pizzas were cooked in a wood-fired brick oven, and you could really taste the difference. The carbonara was one of my favorite dishes. It came with an egg yolk on top that you mix into the pasta, making it rich, creamy, and flavorful. The lobster linguine was another standout dish. We also ordered the pork wings, which were so tender they practically fell off the bone and were served over delicious mashed potatoes. The mushroom ravioli was unique, comforting, and packed with flavor. We also shared the ribeye steak, which was cooked perfectly and was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. What really made the experience special was the service. The owner regularly stopped by to check on our table and make sure everything was good, and everyone working there was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was excellent, and every dish tasted like it was made with care and love. This was one of the best Italian meals I've had in a long time, and we'll definitely be back!

We were seated right away, and the place already had quite a few people dining inside. The experience started a little off for me when ordering. I asked for the spaghetti carbonara with added chicken, and was told no because it already came with bacon. I understood that, but I still wanted to add chicken. I then asked if I could order the penne pasta dish with chicken but substitute a different pasta since I'm not a fan of penne, and again was told no. I've been to plenty of restaurants that don't allow certain substitutions, but simply adding chicken seemed like a reasonable request, especially since I didn't mind paying extra for it. It just felt a little strange being told no to every option. That said, the other staff members were attentive and provided good service throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is casual and had a steady crowd while we were there. I also noticed the entire staff working that night appeared to be male, just an observation. The food itself was really good. The baby greens salad, pasta dish, and chicken portobello were all very flavorful and enjoyable. Overall, I left with mixed feelings because the food was solid, but the ordering experience could have been more accommodating. Still, I would recommend giving this place a try because the food definitely delivers.
