Ordered online through dennys but they use door dash , only reason I order from this site was the one in devonshire st is temporarily closed , the delivery took close to 50 min that wasnt my estimate its totally off , got my food delivered semi cold and no drinks , doordash lady said it didnt say on the order but the dennys receipt says yep all highlighted 2 coffee and 2 oj's , I know dennys and doordash will point fingers to each other and say that it's not there fault , also I'm sure I'm not going to get any reimbursement, I sent a complaint to dennys and gave my rating to door dash , I'm just going to wait until the dennys closer to home is open, never had an issue with them , but not sure if I will even order then I've had issues with doordash , hopefully dennys finds another company to work with delivery. read more

Last time we'll spend 67$ here! Rip off and bad service. The waitress Carmen was terrible!!! I got the skillet and it hardly had any veggies on it like they advertised on the menu, she charged my husbands meal by item when she could have recommended him a more value for a meal, charged us 10$ for a side of French toast. It's obvious she was just trying to hike up the bill for a bigger tip. Idiot! It also took her forever to even greet us like she forgot we were there. I told the manager Mathew and he could careless and was like yeah that's what it is...even though I told him I was unsatisfied with the food and service. Terrible management. I got the sirloin steak breakfast meal and it was delicious. It looked more accurate to the photos than you might expect and was juicy and tender. The hash browns were also really good and so were the onions, jalapeños, etc. The server Darren was extremely polite and made all of us feel welcome. He was really friendly, put in the extra mile, and gave great recommendations. He made the experience truly special. He worked really hard and deserves the credit. The restaurant had a really nice feel as well. It felt like more than a fast food restaurant. It was also not too loud, but it wasn't dead-silent either. It also looks nice in my opinion. I came here a few times to eat, as well as get some studying done. I was able to sit toward the back of the building, which has a subsection of seating that is relatively quiet. There was a plug for my laptop nearby, so that was also a plus. Now for the bad part: the food. Being someone that eats out often, I know what I like and don't like out of every chain restaurant in the greater Los Angeles area. When it comes to Denny's, I stick with the 9-grain pancake breakfast or the grilled salmon. In the few times I was here, I would order the breakfast dish. They were doing ok at first, but the last time I was here, they really messed up. My stomach was not in good shape after getting done eating. I asked the waiter/host what they used to prep my food. He told me that they used liquid margarine, which is not something my stomach is used to. I'll take actual butter over that processed crap. Granted, I know better than to expect a high-end meal at a run-of-the-mill diner, but they should at least prep my food in a way that won't make my stomach turn. I then come to find out that all Denny's locations use liquid margarine. Not something I like to hear, but this is not surprising either. The difference between here and other locations is that they used way too much of that stuff on my food. I was left with a stomach ache, and it threw off my day. I hope the folks who work here don't make it a habit of messing up the food prep, for the sake of their business. If you're looking for a good experience at a Denny's, try the location near the Burbank Airport instead, as this place has a lot of improvements to make. read more

Grand Slam for Veterans day... Denny's treated all veterans today to a grand slam breakfast. I have not been to a Denny's in a couple years. They were packed for breakfast. We arrived at 8 am and were seated in about 5 minutes. Service was a little slow but given how busy they were and my expectations were not too high. Our server was friendly and took our order accurately. It did take sometime to receive our order but I Don't believe it exceeded 15-20 minutes. The food was served warm and tasted good. This location violates ADA laws by demanding "paperwork" regarding service dogs. They discriminated against me because I did not have a "visible" disability. Lots of places do this, usually not franchises or corportations, it's always illegal. This location needs to be educated on the civil rights of disabled people. I will be escalating. read more

We've been coming for maaaany years and always received just OK service and food. TODAY WAS DIFF (10/24/21) want to recognize the workers there today. We came in today (party of 3) and we're told 15mins- but with the amount of people waiting to be seated we knew it would be more of a waiting time. Honestly, we waited maybe 20mins- the host who I think was the manager did such a great job at handling all the pick up orders, take out orders, customers not knowing how to input their pin on the card machine and all the rude customers. I bring my plate back in and ask the guy for a patty melt on rye, he tells me they don't have rye bread, how about sourdough? I have been coming to this Denny's for almost 2 decades. We love it! All our friends and family have come here to hang out at all hours. But honestly they have lost a customer during this pandemic. Went in to do some Outdoor dining and the place was PACKED. No social distancing, there was a bunch of people at the register. They have a huge tent set up outside and we asked to sit there to be cautious and they said no! So we left and decided to go home and order delivery. I'm just so disappointed in them. Why have a tent set up outside with tables and chairs but them keep your indoor dining packed?? Doesn't make sense and it isn't safe. read more
