Do NOT Go To This RACIST Unprofessional Careless Disrespectful Disregarding Restaurant!!! Denny's: 9001 Tampa Ave, Northridge, CA 91324 Offender's/ Manager/Waiter and Waiter: Martin and PJ Tonight about 1am (now being Sunday 1/2/25), I arrived expecting to obviously have a pleasant experience; and not only because I frequent several Danny's locations as a regular, as an appreciate loyal customer. However, this was not the experience at this location. So I expect that after the General Manager who I'm told is a Carlos reads this Review, he will not only reprimand the two waiter's, but also offer me recompense so that I feel like returning. 1. The night manager's behavior was inappropriate in that he kept yawning and dong so without covering his mouth, not only above my head, in my face, at my booth, but also as I entered, and he spoke during the yawns. Including asking "Table for one?" 2. He then made inappropriate gestures and comment regarding my photo that he gawked at on my laptop computer which shows when I first login. And leaned in on my right shoulder as he did so. So I closed my laptop until he walked away. He asked when he first saw it, is it me. I said yes as I closed it. 3. I informed him that managers of all other locations I've gone to, alway have the waiters and other times the waiters on their own - always honor my request for the two slices of brioche bread french toast in place of the two pancakes without ever charging me a substitution cost. He says he's the manager here, but yet wanted to go back and forth with the customer/me about it instead of simply honoring it. 4. The waiter never came to my table to ask if I need anything, if everything is ok, nor to take my food order nor to give me a fresh drink. Yet he did all of this for other customers. After an hour more he sits down right behind me and starts eating a meal. I shortly after catch his attention and address him about his behavior, but he STILL does not do any of the above. Nor does he apologize. I therefore told him "i'm not paying for the pathetic novelty iced drink and will report his behavior to his manager for his employment termination. I left hungry, insulted, belittled and thirsty. ### I will be reporting these two unprofessional disrespectful rude inconsiderate unethical irrational racist men to the Denny's corporate office, and publish a public webpage of this Review, as well as distribute a Press Release to mass media and press. read more

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for an incredible dining experience. First and foremost, I would like to commend Darren, the manager of this Denny's location. His attentiveness and dedication to ensuring the satisfaction of each and every customer were truly remarkable. Darren went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt welcomed and taken care of throughout their meal. He efficiently managed the bustling restaurant while simultaneously making sure each table received prompt and personalized service. It was evident that he genuinely cares about the happiness of his customers, and that level of commitment is truly commendable. Now, let's talk about the food! The cooks at this Denny's are undeniably talented. The dishes that came out of the kitchen were simply outstanding. From the classic breakfast items to the mouthwatering burgers and hearty dinners, every dish was prepared with care and precision. Absolutely the WORST IHOP experience ever This IHOP location has hands down the worst service I've ever experienced. Three servers in particular -- Araceli, Angela, and a midnight-shift server with glasses who refused to wear or disclose a name tag -- were unbelievably rude, disrespectful, and outright hostile toward a paying customer. I was given absolute hell over honoring a FREE entrée reward that was issued to me the night before by the same IHOP. What should have taken minutes turned into over an hour of unnecessary arguing and back-and-forth. Only after more than an hour did one of them finally claim she reached a manager who approved it -- which should have been the case from the start. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional. To make it worse, Araceli demanded that I delete my reward screenshot in front of her, as if I was trying to scam them. Seriously? Do you really think that low of your customers -- especially one who left a 5-star review the night before? That level of disrespect is beyond insulting. Then came the third server -- a rude woman with glasses, no name tag, clearly afraid of being identified -- who seemed determined to bully and harass me, even trying to force me to order again while I was already seated. Her behavior was aggressive, unnecessary, and unacceptable. This wasn't a misunderstanding -- this was bullying and consistently rude behavior. It says far more about the staff than it ever could about the customers. Do not go here. I am never coming back. A formal complaint has already been filed with IHOP corporate. Absolutely disgusting service. Beyond disappointed. Not surprised this iHop less than 3.0 on Yelp due to its low class servers and lack of any respect decency or even common sense! read more

Me and my family walk in to this place and wear greeted by a lady at the front she was about to set us at a ta table when some one told her no '' to wait OK so we waited and the manager so i think look Shady with sleeve tattoos. Told us to set in the back round tabel ? I was like ok normally you get treated properly and walk to your table well thats 1 second thing after we we actually chose a table we wanted not what they we're giving us we were given our menus my kids received a kids menu I received a adult menu somehow he thought it was funny to give my wife a kids menu and walk away like who does that. I honestly love to eat at denny's. But this particular denny's is so incredibly rude. I came in and I asked for a cup of water then after 5 minutes the "so called manager" gave me the menu. But they still haven't gave me my water. Then I asked where is the water I have been waiting for ten minutes. The n the manager rudely interrupts me and says you have been here for less then 5 minutes. But seriously how long does it take for a cup of water. Then he is arguing with me saying I am rude and that he can refuse to serve me. I am a manager my self at a sushi restaurant called sapporo and i don't consider him a manager. I had a wonderful experience at the Denny's restaurant on Tampa Avenue in Northridge, California. The service provided by our server, Darin L., was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable. Darin L. was prompt in taking our orders, refilling our drinks, and addressing any additional requests we had. His positive attitude and professionalism truly enhanced our time at Denny's. I came into this dennies at 2:40am to be met by an asian or hispanic with an attitude. I asked for coffee, then grits he said no grits till morning, I said it is morning, he just gave me an evil stare. Guess he is trying to mske America into where he came from. I will never come here again. I just do not understand how dennys allows this type of service??? So sad. A friend said he thought this guy was a racist? I do not like to think so.
