Where do I even begin? I haven't been to Denny's in over 10 years, so I decided to give it another try. We ordered basic breakfast items (you can see in my photos), and the bill came out to around $45. The food honestly wasn't anything to brag about--it just didn't hit the spot for me. But the customer service made up for it. Our server, a young Latino guy with braces (sorry, I forgot his name), was absolutely awesome. He had such a great attitude and really made us feel welcomed. Would I come back? Yes--for the service, not the food.

Nasty, under cooked, Country Fried Steak & Eggs

The food was horrible!!!!!! If I can give this place a negative 0 I would. I order the country fried steak and it was horrible! The taste was unbelievable. I got the country fried steak and the inside of it looked like death when I cut it open. I also got Mac and it was hella watery! Wasted 60$ on this bs! It was under cooked, the side of biscuits was undercooked! Everything was just nasty and watery!

    busy kitchen at 11 pm!

Best Dennys yet. We arrived at around 11 pm to be seated with a surprisingly busy atmosphere. Our server Kimberly was OUTSTANDING - not only did she greet us with a warm welcome but throughout our dining experience we watched her juggle 6 different tables, the register, and to go orders! The chocolate banana pancakes were crispy and fluffy, with a perfectly cooked sunny side up egg + hash brown + bacon on the side. The burger was phenomenal and actually matched how it looked on the menu - thick, juicy, and oh, so flavorful!

Per my 10 year old grandson, this place is amazing. He ordered chocolate chip pancakes and the premium chicken tenders for breakfast. He loved it. He also won a stuffed animal from the machine!! Highlight of his day! Lol! He said they were so yummy and tender and juicy. I ordered the grand slam breakfast. My eggs and pancakes were perfect, everything was hot and crispy, the decaf coffee was yummy. Our server (Melany)!gave us excellent service! It was busy because it was Father's Day, but they didn't make it seem like it was. Everything ran smooth, we were never rushed and she was kind and professional and remembered everything we asked for. Thanks Melany and Thanks Denny's! My grandson gives you a 5 star review! Happy Fathers Day!

I've been about 2-3 times now, and the food has consistently been really good. That being said, I would definitely recommend a little more customer service training for the servers. Everyone I've encountered has been very nice, but sometimes it's the simple things, like showing that you're happy to serve your paying customers and making sure they feel taken care of. Each time I've visited, we've found ourselves waiting close to 30 minutes for our server to come by for refills, a to-go box, or even the check. I completely understand that mistakes happen and that things can get busy. I've worked in the restaurant industry before, so I really do try my best to be understanding. However, during one of my recent visits, my order came out incorrectly. There was an item on my plate that I had specifically requested not to have. Of course, mistakes happen, and I had no issue communicating the mistake to my server. What bothered me was that instead of apologizing for the error, she looked at me and simply walked away with the plate. I assumed it was a minor mistake and that she would have the order corrected. I could have just removed the item myself, but at the same time, I shouldn't have to pick through my food after receiving an incorrect order when I'm paying for it. When she brought the plate back, she simply left it on the table without saying anything or acknowledging the mistake. I actually found myself apologizing to her for making her do the extra work, and she just walked away. Overall, I really do think Luna is a great restaurant with great food, drinks, and atmosphere. I'm sharing this feedback because I think with some improvement in customer service, communication, and wait times, Luna has the potential to be even better. I would definitely come back, and I hope this feedback is taken as constructive criticism rather than anything negative.

The cashier that helped up out provided exceptional service. There were a lot of items in the menu, so my husband and I were just standing there staring at it lol. The cashier was very helpful with recommendations. He even let my husband sample the beer. When we decided what we wanted, I got the Stand Out Burger and my husband got the bbq sandwich and a beer. And we both got onion rings and sweet potato waffle fries to share. You can also request as many sauces on the side as you want. We got the house sauce, Meyer lemon aioli, ranch, ketchup, and mayo. For a regular burger, the Stand Out Burger was delicious. The burger patty was nice and moist. Cooked to a perfect medium rare, just how I asked for it to be made. I added extra pickles (that were free and available at the counter). My husband really enjoyed the bbq sandwich. He's a big bbq lover, I don't really care for bbq. When I tried it, it was very saucy and bbq forward. The sweet potato waffle fries were one of my favorites. It pairs well with the house sauce and ranch. I kept dipping it in what I thought was the Meyer lemon sauce, but turned out to be mayo (lol) and I kept saying the sauce didn't taste of lemon. But the sweet potato waffle fries actually pairs well with the Meyer lemon sauce too. Another favorite was the onion rings. It had a nice thin batter and when you bite into it, you get that crunchy texture. This pairs well with the ranch and ketchup. We would definitely come back to try other things on the menu!

After enduring weeks of record breaking heat in Long Beach, this was the perfect place to land as the Summer Breeze... Makes Me Feel Fineeee again. A very well but gently lit space that still feels cozy and spacious. The outside gives no indication of how well the inside has been designed. Great for lunch or dinner dates. Noise level was low and there's no feeling of a chaotic restaurant environment. Food/Service 1-5: 4.8 I order the shrimp and lobsters fettuccine, bone marrow as an appetizer. My company ordered the lamb burger. All dishes we beautifully plated; true works of art. Neither of us had any complaints about presentation and creativity. As far as taste and as excited as we were to dig in to our food, the ONLY setback was the lack of seasoning mainly salt. I'm aware that a Chef does their best to meet the expectations of their guest. I'm also aware that meeting everyone's expectations is impossible. To confirm my advice of needing some salt in the food I patrons the restaurant twice, two days in a row. The food needs more salt and I stand solid on that opinion. The service was great and I thanked Mel for taking such great care of us. Mel is a rockstar! Diversity score 1-5: 4 The restaurant definitely appeals to diverse crowds. It reminded of the days I frequented Marcus Samuelsson's Red Rooster in Harlem, NY. Go again score 1-5: 5, Absolutely. I do hope I don't have to keep bothering the server for salt and pepper.

This place opened a little over a year ago last summer, and it's only a few blocks away. Was a perfect day out so decided to finally check this place out. It's a walk-up order style, they give you a number and you find a table. I ordered the regular breakfast burrito. It was cut in two halves which I liked, you could see all the delicious goodness inside. The tater tots really add a nice texture to it, was very satisfying. And the fresh pico de gallo and green salsa was so delicious and in the cutest little container to pour it from. I also ordered an iced house special latte, wow you could taste the cinnamon right away but the best part was the unexpected dash of salt in the foam! Reminded me of ice cream. My friend got the savory pancakes, they looked really fluffy. I stole a piece of her bacon, really thick slices, perfect amount of crisp. It was a nice day out, so we sat outside where they have about 8 tables. Unfortunately, there were some dog owners that were not able to get their dog to stop barking which made eating there less enjoyable. I love dogs, and there were many other dogs there on good behavior. There were not any tables open inside or we would have moved, they have AC inside which felt great. Everything we ate was fantastic. The food comes out as it's ready. First, we got our pastries delivered. Then my burrito came, then pancakes. We got our coffees last which leads me to believe a lot of people come here just for the coffee. Next time I need to try the banana espresso!!! That avocado toast looks pretty delicious too. I'm not sure if they intentionally reserve the larger tables so smaller parties don't take them, but if that's the case, it could be a little pro tip for larger groups--definitely worth asking! The restaurant itself is really colorful and cute, with paper flower decorations and paper lanterns that give it a fun, lively atmosphere. The menu was probably my favorite part. I really love the fact that the dough is made in house!! They have a really varied selection, with Asian and Mexican-inspired dishes, plus American classics with creative twists. There's also a LONG list of matcha and coffee flavors, so there are lots of options if you're a coffee or matcha person. Overall, everything we ordered was good, and we enjoyed the experience. If you're looking for a quieter meal, this may not be the best night to visit. The food itself was good, but the wait was much longer than expected. We waited almost 40 minutes for our order. Unfortunately, my burger was also made incorrectly. I ordered the Bacon Bleu Burger but was served a different burger instead. Not quite sure what it was, but it had mushrooms and American cheese. Since we had already waited so long, I decided to just eat it rather than send it back. The burgers were flavorful, but they were smaller than I expected for the price, and they don't come with fries. To round out my meal, I ordered the poutine fries. They were decent. The fries were nice and crispy, which I appreciated. My husband ordered the Burger Don Chendo, and that ended up being the standout of the night. I usually don't like spicy food, but this burger had just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but between the long wait, the incorrect order, and the portion size for the price, the experience was a bit hit-or-miss. I'd be willing to give them another try, especially for the Don Chendo burger, but I'm hoping for a smoother experience next time.
