Haven't been here in a while. I ordered the steak with veggies and broccoli and the steak was a little salty. They've improved the menu, but their prices aren't what it used to. We went here thinking it'll be cheaper than other places but it wasn't. They offer decent discounts if you use the app. The server didn't know anything about the discounts on the app, which she should have. At first she didn't think the discount code for 20% off any chicken dinner would work. But it did. The servers should get trained on using the app and more importantly knowing what the discounts are. The app is supposed to foster returning customers. If the servers don't know how to use it, then the restaurant could lose returning customers. Also when I went to pay I selected 18% gratuity because the service was so-so and it charged me 19.5%. The service could've been better. She didn't refill my drink and there were only a handful of people in the restaurant. I think Denny's serves better breakfast than lunch or dinner. But it's Denny's after all, so go in with low expectations and you won't be disappointed. read more

I'm gonna say the service was excellent! Top tier even. We were initially greeted at the door with smiles. We felt so welcomed. The food was super good. We didn't wait for drinks or our food at all. They were super efficient. If I had one gripe it's that it was super cold in there which I know is subjective. Brrrt status forreal tho. But I completely understand that's what's cold for me may be the right temp for someone else. Cuz there were other patrons sitting, enjoying their meal comfortably while my teeth were chattering. This Denny's is our favorite! The food is always excellent. Their burgers are surprisingly well put together and taste better than any burger joint I've been to recently. The staff is always very friendly, we've never had a bad experience. They have quick wait times, even when it's packed. We actually prefer this Dennys location versus other higher end breakfast options in Fresno like Mimi's or Red Apple. The ambiance is standard for a Dennys but it is well kept, clean, and organized. read more

I went to Dennys on Blackstone Avenue approximately 2 weeks ago and it was a good experience as always. I haven't gone back because the Dennys at this location was to remodel and the restaurant would be closed for a week. I am looking forward to returning now that the restaurant is remodeled. Didn't have to wait to be seated was brought to the seat right away and we didn't like our original seats so they moved us to a more comfortable seat. Drinks were brought out right away. And food ordered and didn't feel rushed to order. Although I ordered a slamburher eggs over easy and they were overcooked it was the only part of the visit that sucked but other them that the food was yummy and the atmosphere was chill. read more

You can order online. I picked the grilled chicken sandwich with aged cheddar cheese, jalapeños and sautéed mushrooms. Mother picked the burger and did it how she wanted it too. It's in the Dennys...different. I went in and told the worker and she said it was being worked on. It was brought out by a nice worker and handed over along with good day wishes from another worker as as I left. It was ready in between the time it said it would be. Some workers are masked. Safe and clean. Lunchtime! Got everything set up per usual. My grilled chicken sandwich was really tasty! Fresh and sautéed mushrooms made it better! Mother said her burger was really good! Recently I had good to go. I had a burger for lunch! It was fresh, hot delicious! I had avocado on it, and fries. It was so good I want to get it again! I was met by a woman who told me that I would have to pay up front because I was wearing a backpack. Unlike the other customers who had the chance to eat before paying, (I guess they wanted to take away the incentive for good service). The whole thing was embarrassing and a little bit insulting. Cover up your tattoos if you go in there because I think that was the deciding factor. A couple of my friends tease me when I say I'm going to eat at Dennys. Their loss! We went specifically for the crepes. Real crepes, not thin pancakes, filled with light cream filling and topped with real fresh strawberries. We ordered crispy bacon and actually got it! The service is friendly and fast. Yes, watch your receipt! I consider my wife & I to be somewhat regulars as we live close. Yes, on a budget so we usually order from the 2,4,6,8,10 menu. (Or seniors) They seem to now be charging for things like ranch dressing and bbq sauce (ketchup next?) They came in tiny little cups as usual......$.99ea. Waitress asked what kind of cheese on my "cheeseburger" white cheddar was a choice given $1.29 slice/upcharge. It really is the principle, no one mentioned these annoying little charges. Watch your receipt!! I ordered the senior salmon dinner. The menu said it comes with two "sides". Looked at the list of sides and I asked for corn and onion rings. When we got the bill there was a 2+ dollar charge for the rings. When I asked why the lady at the register rudely stated that's what they cost. When I reached for a menu to see if I had missed something she snapped back, "I can make it .99. If she had been nice I probably would have let it go at that point but, her attitude rubbed me just enough that I showed her the list of sides and that there was no indication of an up charge. She growled at me, "I'm not going to argue with you anymore" and removed the extra charge. I was clear she didn't care about the accuracy of the menu, or having a satisfied customer. I absoluetly love going to Denny's. I go a lot I'm very social. It's the best place to take someone after hours. David the General Manager, is always there with a smile to greet me. This is at the Shaw and West store. 1746 W. Shaw Ave, Fresno 93711. Their phone number to make take out order which I also love to do when I order something messy that I'm just going to chow down on, in complete privacy. Being that this is one of my kids' favorite places to eat I visit this Denny's location quite often. Most of the staff is pretty good. The food is so so, your typical Denny's quality food. I order a lot through the app, they always have coupons available. They also have pick up options available right now. From what I've read online they also sell some grocery items which is a plus. read more
