Unfortunately...I took NO pictures!! Ugh! But every...single...thing was DELISH!! Quite possibly the best fried chicken I've ever had in over 40 ish years+ years of living!!! Soooo good! And the fried green tomatoes!!!! YUM!!!! Go go go!!!! Taking Carmel cake home for later! I can't wait!!!!!!

This was my first time trying the food at Chef Paul's. Location was in downtown. I came with a group of coworkers. The staff was excellent and helpful with any questions. I ordered the tri tip sandwich with mashers and chili. I would say the tri tip sandwich was okay. I did try others meals and I definitely would order a different meal next time. I will be back to try something else.

Definitely in a run down part of town/building and it's in a VERY SKETCHY neighborhood. BUT the food was MOUTH WATERING. Didn't know what to expect since I was recommended by a friend to come here but great reviews and an AMAZING experience all around. Came in for lunch on Saturday and got seated right away. The service was just incredible. Server explained the menu. And some off menu items they had for the day, friend ordered the lamb chop and for me classic fried chicken with the two sides. This was some real good comfort soul food. The seasoning and the crisp on the chicken was immaculate!! The sides were very tasty and I LOVED the green beans and Mac and cheese. Service was the best I've ever had, drinks constantly refilled, staff came around multiple times to check if we were doing okay, even the owner came out to say hi! What a great experience, hospitality, and some great food. I definitely recommend checking it out if you're thinking about it. I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in town.

My first visit was around this time last year. We were passing through the area and stopped by for lunch. Impressed by their food we vowed to return on our next trip. This visit I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy and sweet potatoes. Wow, just phenomenal. The rich, layered flavor of the gravy was so good I just wanted more. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes were delicious all by themselves, but elevated by the gravy. The sweet potatoes rounded out the meal and paired well with the meatloaf. Needless to say I finished my whole plate! We were fortunate enough to meet Chef Paul this visit. He's really a genuine nice guy. So next time your hungry and in the area I definitely recommend stopping in! This area is undergoing a revitalization. I noticed sidewalks undergoing re-pavement and many buildings with new paint jobs, including murals. It's nice to see.

This is our go to lately!! We love it. Best fried chicken in Fresno. The pork ribs are fire. We always get the bbq combo and add on chicken. So we can share and have some of everything. The owner has an amazing business here. I love the music they play in the background and it's not too loud so you can still enjoy the company you bring. Staff is also very kind. Closest I can get to my grandmas food in a business.

I've been to Chef Paul's a handful of times now, and it's HANDS DOWN, the best soul food restaurant you'll find in Fresno! Their fried chicken is bomb!! Crispy and well seasoned on the outside but juicy inside! Fried okra and fried green tomatoes also are amazing to share with the table. Servers and staff are super friendly and you can tell they enjoy working there. Chef Paul is usually hanging out and stops by tables to say hello. The restaurant itself is small but has larger tables. Which are needed when you order so much food! The hot link is delicious as well, definitely get the after kick of spiciness, but doesn't overwhelm! And the chili beans have deep flavor to them! Would recommend Chef Paul's to anyone looking for some good old-fashioned soul food!

The environment is very relax. Everyone is nice and friendly. We ordered the chef gumbo seafood special and 3 wings and waffles. Everything came out yummy! The owner is hospitable and the food is like a warm home cooked meal. I highly recommend trying them out.

Made it 1 week in advance and they were set and ready for us! The employees are so sweet and helpful and the food came out before the other half of the table even finished ordering I'm not kidding! The fried chicken combo (3 piece) was phenomenal! I got Mac n cheese with yams and cornbread and then added on a chili for extra $ Everything was piping hot so it was very fresh. The chicken was juicy as all hell and that flavor oh my gosh! Best fried chicken I've ever had. The yams were so sweet and flavorful all the way through, and the Mac n cheese had a nice crust with the perfect creamy texture to it! The cornbread was as good as any and the chili beans had the perfect kick! I do prefer a more soupy meat based chili myself but no complaints here! A lot of my coworkers had the fried fish and were RAVING about it! The type of fish they use really shows in the taste and quality! The spicy fried fish was good as well and the sea food gumbo was also delicious all according to the table! Prices are to be expected, it's not your cheapest option but babe it's the yummiest so get on over there! The inside is cute and cozy and they accommodated our party size nicely. They had some good music playing in the kitchen too which we appreciated! Nonetheless DONT MISS THIS PLACE! Please come support and give them your business! Not too many soul food places in Fresno so make this your go to fr!

We had driven up to Three Rivers to try out the newly re-born Ard Farkle's. Sharing a building with the Pro Club for a nice new golf course, driving range, and a soon to come Pickleball court, the restaurant is clean and nicely apportioned concern. The Farkle Burger looks good on paper, a 1/3 lb. Burger with cheese, bacon, onions, lettuce and tomato. With a tasty chipotle aioli. So, we both opted for them. They came out quickly and looked better than they read on the menu. A dill pickle spear decorated the top bun. A choice of sides to choose from found me ordering the side salad - delicious, and my wife ordering sweet potato fries, which had (I thought, a bit high) an up charge of $3.00. She stated that they were better than others. The service was about average, nothing extreme in either direction and by the time we left, we felt we had made some friends. The rest of the menu covered a lot of bases and I hope to try several of them out soon. P.S. It was the best burger I had eaten since I can't remember when!

The burger was okay but definitely overcooked and not very juicy. It was missing some flavor. The garlic fries were probably the best thing we ordered. The hibiscus lemonade was decent, and the mocktail we got was actually really good. As for the service, some of the staff were really nice and welcoming, but I did feel a little uncomfortable toward the end. When I asked if I could pay with cash instead of card, I got the impression that the person seating us assumed I was going to leave a tip and seemed disappointed when I clarified that I was just paying cash. I also felt like some of the servers were giving us an attitude afterward because we didn't tip. Overall, tipping is a personal choice, and I don't think customers should feel judged or pressured because of it. Some of the staff were genuinely kind, but unfortunately the food and the experience weren't enough for me to want to come back.

On Friday's, the truck is out at the Manchester Center farmer's market. We tried the jerk wings, pulled pork sandwich, hush puppies, and sweet potato fries. I would say the wings are the crown jewel of the menu. They remained crispy despite the delicious sauce that was slathered on it. The sauce was quite delicious itself, with just the right amount of sweetness and spice. The pulled pork was dressed in a "sweet and sassy" sauce, which was rather tangy. It seemed to be more of a vinegar based sauce. The coleslaw was also on the tangy side. The bun was slightly toasted as well, a nice added touch. Next on the list, hush puppies. They were great! Crispy and slightly spicy with a hint of jalapeño. On to the sweet potato fries; they were different. There was some type of sweet savory seasoning on the fries. It reminded me of Thanksgiving. Overall, the food tasted good. I would definitely check this place out again, especially since they were not serving mac n cheese on the day we went out to try their food. Next time fore sure!

We had read that they accommodated a lot of RVs and people with U-Haul's, etc., so felt safe staying there for the night. Checked in about 9 PM. Everybody was super helpful. We have our cats with us so we were a little stressed out about how it was going to be, but they made sure that we were comfortable and we were in a really nice, large and clean room. I did think that the property is a little bit dated. They've done a good job with upkeep. The only issue I really had was that when I got out of my car there was a very strong animal smell. I asked at the front desk with that smell was, and they said that it was fertilizer that they applied to the fields that night. It was intense. We got up and we're back on the road by 5 AM. Since it's right next to Interstate 5, it is very convenient for t9ad trips doen California. When I initially looked up the restaurant, I was a bit confused because online it seems that they have 4 different restaurants, and I wasn't sure where they are all located. But we just went and followed the signs that said "Restaurant." When we walked in the main entrance, the first thing we saw was the Country Store. To the right is the Horseshoe Lounge, the Prime Steakhouse in the middle, and Ranch Kitchen is towards the end. I think they also have a barbecue restaurant, but in a separate building. This place is massive. We decided to dine at Ranch Kitchen, where there was a huge group of people sitting right outside. I originally thought they were waiting for a table, but they were all just there for the restroom since this seems to be the place to be for pit stops down I-5. It was around 6 PM on Monday, and we got seated pretty quickly. We ordered the 14 oz. Choice Ribeye (medium rare) and the Country Fried Steak. Both included either baked potatoes or mashed potatoes (we opted for baked) and broccoli and carrots. The ribeye also included either a soup or salad, but given the current scare with the lettuce parasite, I opted for the clam chowder. They start you out with hot bread rolls and some salted whipped butter. The ribeye was very tender and delicious. It was well-seasoned and does not need steak sauce or anything. The country fried steak was quite tasty and comes with a massive amount of gravy, the way I like it. Overall, this was a great stop with great food. The service was amazing and the waiter was very attentive. This will definitely be a regular pit stop of ours.
