If you come to Cajun Crack'n, be prepared to get messy. Like, fingers-slick-with-garlic-butter, sauce-on-your-face messy. They do provide gloves if you want them--but honestly, leaning into the chaos is part of the fun. We ordered the middle-size boil with snow crab legs, a pound of crawfish, corn, and potatoes, tossed in mild spice with garlic butter, and it was so good. They bring it in a large plastic bag drenched in sauce and you dig it out and put the shells in a mini-trash can they provide you. The crawfish can be a little tricky at first, but they give you these tiny scissors, and once you get the hang of it, it's actually pretty easy (and weirdly satisfying). This is not a first-date restaurant unless you're trying to test boundaries immediately. Sauce gets everywhere. Everywhere. I went with my family, and it was perfect for that--fun, loud, and zero pressure to be polite. We brought our kids too. There's no official kids' menu, but they do have six-piece BBQ wings and edamame, which you can order Cajun-style or sea salt. I went with sea salt since my son doesn't like spice, and it was a win. The service was great, the ambiance was fun, and bonus points: the margaritas are BIG--like actual drinking-glass sized--and totally worth the price. The beer prices were surprisingly reasonable, too. Overall: delicious food, great service, fun atmosphere, and a full-on hands-on experience. Come hungry, wear something you don't mind getting messy, and enjoy it. Highly recommend.

Came to Cajun Crack'n on a Friday evening craving a seafood boil and was pleasantly surprised. We got seated right away, the restaurant was clean, and our waitress was quick to bring menus and waters. We went with Combo #1--3 pounds of deveined shrimp with potatoes, sausage, and corn in the spicy "everything combined" flavor. The shrimp were already peeled and perfectly cooked, which made the meal so much easier and more enjoyable. The seafood was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The sides were a mixed bag--fries weren't my favorite, but the onion rings were excellent. Potatoes and corn soaked up all the flavor perfectly. I'd definitely come back for the seafood boil again.

The food was great. Spicy was on point and flavorful. A little pricey but it's good seafood, what do you expect. Portions were able to feed two people. Staff was friendly and fast. Appreciated that they were open late. Will eat here again.

1 lb shrimp head on, 1 lb frozen crawfish and one corn. A mixture of sauces and spiciest heat level.

I haven't been here in years! We only came here cus we was still in the area.. decided on a catfish po boy that came with fries.. went with lemon pepper seasoning. The sandwich was hot and crispy. Fries was same. Pretty good combo. Then also had hush puppies on the side which had a good seasoning to it. Overall it was a good lunch. Would want to come back for the Cajun again cus I need to refresh my memory on the sauce... can't say much about service since it was to go but she did greet me.

This place is BOMB! The interior is spacious with lots of seating. Considering how messy digging into seafood boil can be, this place is super clean! Service here is quick and our waitress was super nice. Came here with a party of 8 on a Saturday. Highly recommend making a reservation, especially if you have a bigger party, cause there was a lot of people waiting for a table! Got 2 Combo #1s to share. Opted for their house special sauce and it is 100% the way to go. This was so so so yummy. This is by far my fave seafood boil place in Fresno.

Before this visit, we've ordered for pick up and delivery several times. We were pleasantly satisfied with our server, the decor, and of course our food. Everything is so tasty and fulfilling. Tip: Be sure to ask for extra napkins before your food arrives because it can be messier than you think.

    Is outdoor seating available again?

    Yes

How does this compare to FOB or the Crawfish Guy?

FOBs sauce is my fav. They always have crazy amount of flavor. Cajun Crackin is tasty just not as flavorful as FOB. What I can say is that my husband and I both agreed that Cajun Crackin had fresher tasting shrimp if that makes sense.

A recent visit here had us waiting a long time for our mains. From ordering to being placed on the table, it took 30-minutes... my wife and I both ordered salads. Our drinks and appetizer came out quickly. We ordered the pistachio crusted calamari which is amazing and is a must order. It comes with their house aioli sauce which is delicious! I ordered the entree sesame shrimp salad and added tri-tip steak. This salad was huge and filled with chopped cabbage, sesame shrimp, cilantro, ginger marinated shrimp, crispy wontons, carrots, peanuts, and miso sesame dressing. Crunchy, filling, and full of flavor, this salad definitely eats like a full meal. To be honest, I didn't need the extra steak, but it was cooked perfectly. My wife's bistro salad was very lackluster; basically just a small side salad. But for $15 we figured she's at least get something a little more substantial. No sweet potatoes, no dried cranberries, and pumpkin seeds. It was literally just lettuce and cheese, see the added pics. She did order a side of steak as well. Pismo's is great spot and they make a mean martini, but they do need a little help with their timing.

And if you like tangy lemon flavors you know what's up. I believe our servers name is Jenny. We also ordered the scallops which were absolutely amazing. They have some sautéed garlic and the Thai chili complements it. Add a little lime and just enjoy the flavors. Absolutely delicious! When we arrived our table was ready but I heard that groups just joining the waitlist had to wait between 15-20 min. Given that this was the holiday weekend in May on a Saturday, make sure you use the online waitlist on their website! The restaurant itself is across from the entrance to Regal in the River Park mall - the missus wondered if this was the only mall in Fresno. It was certainly a bigger outdoor mall than what we usually had in Seattle. Anyway they have a complimentary sauce bar but it's somewhat sparse when you consider actual hotpot sauce bars. The vinegar / soy sauce are off on the side (hard to find). We ordered some appetizers, a classic Boba milk tea (50% off with hotpot purchase, a special until sometime later this year), and a hotpot for each of us. Given my peanut allergy we didn't risk anything from the deep fryer (only one, and they share it). That being said the hotspots themselves were fine. You pick the spiciness, your carb (vermicelli, white or brown rice), your meat/protein (beef, lamb, pork belly, chicken...), and your spice level. For the ones that the missus and I picked (jpot and the one next to it that says "founders favourite") the minimum spice is medium (which is way too high for me, happens to be very mild for the missus).. Service was great - the staff kept checking on us frequently. They don't give you chopsticks by default, so the wait staff asked if we wanted some (we did). The missus asked for an extra bowl and we received it promptly. The only "negative" was that we never got water refills... It was quite busy though, with a lot of folks waiting as we were leaving. That being said we were seated, ordered, served and paid fairly quickly. The parking sitch can be difficult - it's free but the mall parking in general near jpot is definitely sparse - we had to wait until someone left to take their spot.
