Place always hits the spot when it comes to live seafood. My GF loves this place and I'm always jealous when she doesn't bring me so here I am back again on 4/11 with another wonderful experience. We got crawfish shrimp manila clams and rice. Great service good quiet low key not crowded just my type of a hidden gem. We poured everything in one tray and used the second one for the shells. I've been here before and the more I come it just gets worse and worse . Today, I understand that it's Father's Day, but I brought my kids along and requested no spice. However, the bag we received was incredibly spicy. My son and daughter couldn't even enjoy it. I had to buy a whole new personal bag for my son just to eat. If you're looking for a seafood boil spot I would recommend this place. You can sit anywhere you like. Inside looks clean. This place is sometimes a hit or miss but they always have their Tuesday crawfish deals and nothing beats that price! There was one time where I had ordered about 4lbs of crawfish and it did not look like it weighed that much so make sure you get what you ordered! It's always best to go on tuesdays and during their crawfish season for sure but the frozen ones are just as good. Every time I go, I do order a dozen oysters to share with whoever is down to do a shot with me too. Most times I've gone for my usual order awesome sauce spicy, but there was also new staffing I've noticed. When it came out it cold like it was sitting or the sauce was cold. It wasn't busy at all only us and another table or two. I asked them to reheat or replace it since we barely touched it. They took it back for 5m brought it back the same, we just brushed it off since I've always had a good experience food wise. I tried to order ahead while driving there but they needed my card number before placing the order in which is understandable however I was driving and couldn't get my card out. So just FYI if ordering ahead you need to give them your card information. We came on a Saturday for a late lunch . This restaurant gets packed so come earlier if you are coming for dinner. We wanted to try some of everything so we ordered king crab legs , whole shrimp, crawfish (medium spicy ) , oysters (raw), clams( extra spicy ) and the 10 piece of wings with wet lemon pepper sauce . The food takes awhile to come out, more than 15 minutes but it was worth it because the food was so tasty !!!! The crawfish tasted super fresh and didn't have any of that muddy taste that I don't like . The clams were huge !!! I was expecting the smaller clams but they served the larger clams here which were super meaty and delicious. The lemon pepper wings here were one of the most delicious wings I have ever tried , they add some of there own seasoning and it's so so good . Our service on Tuesday was horrible. The girl seem to be in a hurry to take our orders. Once she took our order she did not read it back to make sure our order was correct. Then she took off. We waited for 30 minutes, our drinks never came. We had to asked for our drinks. Our order took about 40 minutes and I asked them when will we get our order. They said they were waiting for the crabs. I told them just bring out whatever is done. When our order came out it was all messed up. I wanted 4lb crawfish with allsome sauce extra spicy in one bag, 1lb crawfish with allsome sauce spicy, 1lb crawfish med with all some sauce, 1lb spicy shrimp head on all some sauce. 1 whole crab spicy with allsome sauce. The order they brought out. The 4lb crawfish and shrimp were together. The shrimp was supposed to be spicy and not extra spicy. 1lb med crawfish was Correct 2lb spicy crawfish wholesome was put in with the whole crab. We only order 1lb of spicy crawfish. This is one of my top three crawfish spots/seafood boils in Fresno. They have good sauce & I like their Tuesday $8.99 a lb crawfish deal. I always go with allsome sauce extra spicy. I feel like it can be a hit or miss cus lately I feel like my sauce be tasting a lil watered down. The season wasn't seasoning. Maybe since it was takeout and frozen crawfish? Idk but the last time I dined in, it was hittin. The sweet potato fries there are good. The oysters are a good size too. And the sauce at that time was actually spicy and seasoned well. Had the garlic noodles there and they was alright.. kinda too oily. My crawfish takeout comes with gloves, lemons, salt and pepper. Just missing some napkins lol. It can get messy!! We decided to try a new place just to be so disappointed! All of our food was undercooked. The lobster, crab legs, crawfish, and even my potatoes were undercooked. If the crawfish wasn't dipped in the seasoning first it tasted like they just boiled them in plain water. When I would peel them they wouldn't even peel off from the shell!! It was very frustrating to eat and they didn't even crack the lobster. No tools to break the lobster/crab either! The whole experience was OK to say the least. As a bonus there was even a screaming baby the entire time. The whole meal was well over $130, I shouldn't be leaving disappointed! The only good news is the staff is very nice and attentive. Went in today and had the worst customer service experience. We ordered a 10pc wing a cajun fry and a pound of HS shrimp. Got there at 1pm mind you there was 5 tables 2 servers. We received our appetizer before receiving our drinks and I had to ask for them . we waited almost 15 minutes to get our drinks otherwise I don't think we would've received our drinks for a while. 2nd thing, after receiving our appetizers we got ranch which was filled up half ways as the rest of the ones we got were. I then asked the server about it and she said they're filled up half ways so they "won't spill" which is crazy because .75 cents for a ranch that's half filled is crazy considering we got fries and a 10 piece wing. 3rd thing, we didn't get checked up on not once for a refill or anything we didn't receive utensils or gloves or anything for our seafood boil. Round tables ranch is 1.08 cents for a large which is about 5x if not more then the ranches here that are 0.75 cents for a half filled ass container. On a business trip and I had a hankering for some seafood boil that brought me to the Crawfish Guy The space: strip mall establishment with roughly 10 booths and a few 2 and 4tops. Service: was ok. Food: Crawfish: I had two pounds, Allsome sauce (their version of everything), spicy with corn. These were frozen crawfish. Thats ok. They told me it was and I appreciate that they do. Some places make you ask and that's a bit crappy. The sauce was great. Loved the large garlic chunks. It was a thick soupy bag of flavor, spice and goodness. Chicken Wings: I had the 6 piece Cajun style. I swear they cooked these in lava. The wings were good. I could have used more spice but they were good. They were just hot for 25 minutes. Burnt my tongue a few times. However, better hot than salmonella. I also had a beer and water. Bill was $50.00 One thing I wished they did was actually let me hear the football game that they had on every tv. I would have ate more and drank more if I could have enjoyed the game. One of the best Cajun seafood boils In Fresno hands down. The sauce is bomb. Only thing I wish they had was combinations specials like how captain crab offers. Also it was kinda upsetting I couldn't just order a side of their sauce without purchasing at least a pound of seafood, because I wonder what if you were allergic to shellfish and you wanted the sauce but they don't allow you to buy it. It's not just this place but I guess all of the Cajun places charge that. Either way you still take my money so I just didn't quite understand it. It did take a while for somebody to take my order though as they were pretty busy. I would say I stood at the counter for a good 10 mins before anybody got free to take my order. I got a snow crab boil that came with sausage. I got the medium level all flavors sauce. The medium actually had a lil kick to it. Like after eating a few legs I was getting the spice. It was a good amount of spice though not too hot and it tasted really good. I like the sausage they serve with it but I wish they would sear off the sausage before boiling to get a crispier skin on it. The flavor of the sausage was really good though and not like any other sausage I've ever had in my boils. The guy who took my order was really nice and added lemons, salt and pepper and lots of napkins to my to bag without me even asking for any of it. He even added gloves even though I don't use them. The crab legs were big and perfectly cooked. Cracked well and got the pieces of meat out in one chunk. It was beautiful lol If I'm ever back in Fresno I'll be back to try their other seafood in their sauce.
