The place is spacious, like so many tables and they accommodated our large group of 9! I think their prices are reasonable and they give a good amount of proteins, especially because other places always run out of seafood. This restaurant is huge, with indoor and outdoor seating available. Our server was real nice and she made sure we had what we needed. The menu has a lot of options to choose from, you can change the seasonings on the boil and on other menu items. We did the garlic seasoning with lemon and I really enjoyed it. I have been going to captain crab since they first opened. They don't disappoint. I have ordered both in person, dined in, and DoorDash. On this occasion I ordered 1lb of no head shrimp all flavors extra spicy (spiciest level, only try this one if you like super spicy because it is hot but freaking delicious) I made the rice at home and had eggs and cucumbers available to complete my meal. I have enough for 1-2 more meals worth of shrimp. It is a good price point, and the flavors used are unique and different from other seafood places I have tried. They always include the items needed and the customer service is amazing whether you order in person or DoorDash. I ordered the Kings Feast Boil via DoorDash because we just moved here yesterday and too busy unpacking. My order arrived earlier than the quoted time. Kings Feast Boil: 1 lb. King Crab Legs, 1/2 lb. Snow Crab Legs, 1/2 lb. Dungeness Crab, 1/2 lb. Shrimp (headless), 1/2 lb. Sausages, 2 corn, 2 eggs, & 2 potatoes w/Captain Special sauce (mild spicy). Everything was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Came here for dinner on a Thursday around 5:30. It was not too crowded, but I had made a reservation anyway. We got 2 family specials ($69 each) for 6 people and it was the right amount of food. We chose a variety of meat including crab, sausage, shrimp, mussels, and crawfish. You can choose from various sauces and spice levels. We liked the garlic butter, and everything tasted good. I'm torn on this review because I thought the food was good but for what we got and the service, I am giving 3 stars. Our party of 7 arrived around 5:30 on a Monday evening and was seated right away because the place was pretty empty. The table was stocked well and we were excited to dig in. The service could have been better: she was attentive however she was really confusing when we asked for clarification for anything. We asked for the King's Feast which is almost $100 per order. Our server said it feeds 4-6 people. I knew that wouldn't be the case so we ordered two. One with the most popular seasoning, Captain's Special Mix, mild spice. The other, we wanted Garlic Butter. This is where the first bit of confusion came in: we asked for Garlic Butter and were given two choices and asked what the difference was. She stated one was just butter and the other had seasoning. No matter how many ways we asked for more info/clarification, we kept getting the same odd answer so we gave up and hoped for the best. The food came out and I was correct, no way would that one platter feed 6 people. We had three kids with the group and we still had to order a third platter. The Captain's Special Mix was really good. The Garlic Butter was exactly that, melted butter with garlic. Still no clue what the difference is between the two on the menu. When we were done and ready for the bill, our waitress was no where to be found. My dad had to go find someone to flag her down so we could pay. We did have a little bit left over so we asked for a to-go box. We had a corn on the cob, a couple crawfish, a potato and maybe a shrimp or two. She came back with the smallest round to-go cup. I looked at it and didn't understand how she could see the amount of food we had and think that was the best option. She left almost immediately after setting it down so we had to wait to flag her for another one. It still barely fit. I don't know what this was about but if this tiny soup container or a giant clear bag is the only to-go option, a third option should be added. In conclusion, I'm not sure if the food was worth the $400 spent. read more

Everything was packed well for our take out order although it took longer than anticipated. They were packed during dinner rush so my pick up order went 10 minutes over the expected time. However, I liked how the order came with bibs, seasonings and ice. *Medium Crawfish: the medium spice level wasn't too intense so I would opt for the highest level if you were looking so a good kick. The crawfish had a mushier texture but it absorbed the flavor well. I chose the captain special which was a mixture of Cajun, garlic butter and lemon. The corn on the cob was sweet and steamed perfectly. The firm kernels went with the Cajun spices. *Mild Green Mussels: the mild version strangely had some sweetness to it but it complimented the green mussels. I gobbled the half pound in a few minutes so I would get the one pound next time. The shells were cleaned well and the spices were more pronounced in the mild version. *Oysters: got the half dozen on ice so they were properly chilled. However these were so dry and I missed the natural oyster liqueur. These were bland, limp and icy. Some of the worst of I've ever had. Mussels were the only tasty part of our meal. However, the food was lacking...There was hardly any seasoning (tasted like just butter and herbs) and the shrimp was extremely soft to take apart. The crawfish was also dirty and the portions were skimpy... I paid 70 dollars for the food and it just wasn't worth it. I got the fish & sweet potato fries which the fish was very good from the lil I tasted cause my bag of 1lb of Crab legs came & boy it was work but fun!! Came here for lunch special on a Friday around 1pm. When we first entered, there was not one customer which usually is a bad sign and I would've not further entered but we figured to give it a try anyways. By the time we were done, there were 3 other tables. Food- Got the boiled shrimp heads on and fried oyster basket with onion rings. Initially came out with heads off but the waitress and kitchen changed it without issue. Medium spice has a nice kick. Comes with a single potato and a quarter ear of corn. The shrimp were more like prawns and were huge in size and very good. The fried oysters were also excellent. Onion rings too were done right with the lightly crispy breading as opposed to the thick run of the mill breading. Very very good. Came with tartar and ranch-like sauce. Today was their anniversary and they had a special I just couldn't ignore. Their lowland boil for $19.99. I called my order in after noon, and it was ready when I was able to pick it up. This order was a to go order as I we were planning on having it for dinner. I got the captain special seasoning and mild spice. I would like to point out I live life with a service dog and they offered no issues as I was picking up and did have signage stating no pets, service dogs welcome. 4 paws up for this. I reheated our dinner in the air fryer and oh my it smelled good! Everything was delicious! I really enjoyed the crab and the shrimp. The hubs liked the corn, shrimp and sausage. I've been wanting to try this place out since they opened. I have gone to similar places in LA, so I had high standards. I ordered the snow crab and shrimp with the lemon pepper sauce. It came with both types of seafood, potatoes, corn, and sausage. It was a bit on the salty side, but the seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. On the side we go their Cajun fries with ketchup and ranch. The fries were so good! Crunchy, warm when they came out, and seasoned perfectly. The service was great. We were sat right away and even got to order quickly. We did not have to wait long for our food either. The place only had a couple families. I love this place! The food is so good! I come here often! Compliments to the chef! Customer service could use a bit of work it's definitely not the same. I've never had an issue before until today when I ordered over the phone. I just got off of work and wanted to treat myself to some seafood. I had to ask the girl over the phone what came in my bag and she didn't even know. She didn't ask me the seasoning I wanted or the spice level, I had to tell her. She didn't ask me my name, I had to tell her. I asked how long it would be and she hung up me. I had to call back and ask for the time, she didn't tell me initially. I work in food as well and understand how stressful work can be during a rush but I don't forget to ask vital questions which can completely alter your meal or let alone a name for an order. She told me about ~20/30 minutes and I waited over 40 minutes I believe they forgot about my order. I understand how under training staff can lead to issues like these, so I hope new hires can be well informed and better trained. We tried this broil the other day. It was ok. It was fairly busy, but not enough that we had to flag down a waiter to get our drink order. He continuously forgot to bring different things throughout our time there. There was only four of us at our table and the table behind us came in and was served before we were, with a larger party. We ordered the clam chowder, a bit runny, but taste was decent. I prefer it a little thicker. The catfish and sweet potatoes fries, fried pickles were good. The broil was decent but I think we will be sticking to our usual spot in Fresno. I was disappointed because I wanted to like this place but it was just ok. They do have a bigger menu selection than our other spot. They also have a bar however there was no one tending to it so we had to wait to get a servers attention for some drinks. We asked for to go containers and were brought the smallest option they had. I walked over to ask for another and they provided me a large container (different server). To top it off, as were attempting to get our to go plates ready, a water was spilled and ran over all into the floor. Again, we had to physically get up to get someone's attention to clean it up so we didn't slip on their floor. They took one wipe with a towel and stuck a caution sign next to the table. They didn't return to clean it again until we left. Mind you a puddle of water was still at our feet.
