Saw this place on TikTok and had to try it. It's in Kerman Ca, a small town surrounded by farms and orchards, 15 miles from Fresno. It's at the main intersection in town, Whitesbridge and Madera Ave. Not much to see until you visit this cute spot. Lively music playing but not too loud so you can have a conversation. The ceviche plate I had was amazing. It was the Tostada Al Tata. It had uncooked shrimp, fish, octopus and crab in a black salsa sauce. We also had the tostada tamarindo which had tamarindo flavoring. It came with a tamarindo stick as well. There's a full bar with plenty of seating. Come with a friend or bring the family, plenty of seating and parking. The staff is very friendly and welcome and servers are attentive and fast. Definitely going back. read more

Hands down one of the best mariscos and Mexican food places in the Central Valley! Who would have thought you'd find a seafood place in the heart of California. Excellent food and drinks in great portions. Literally everything we tried was very good. Staff came and took our drink order right away. As we waited we saw so many delectable dishes pass right by us--every one of the a head turner. When we got our food, it was excellent! Definitely stuff you want to take pictures of. A nice place inside with comfortable booth and table seats, extensive bar and a perfect balance of music a little country, a Little Rock at the right volume. This is definitely somewhere you want to bring the whole family but keep a guarded secret for fear of it getting too popular. Husband and I had some food for take out, overall food was delicious and tasted great, freshly made and packaged well. Although we were a little bit disappointed with my husband's ceviche order.. only because we just didn't expect the "Small" to be as small as it was, it would have been nice to have been told what size cup the small would be, for the price a small just didn't add up.. but here are some pictures I've included. We have been here several times and have loved it until now. Today, we ordered the Chile Verde Plate which cost $18.99. The plate was swimming in sauce, which was gross because it was touching everything. My guess was they did it to cover that fact that there was very little meat on the plate. It has never been served like before. When you scooped all the meat into one area, it is was way less than the individual servings of beans and rice. They were also teeny pieces of meat. Taco and Beer is alway such a delight at Ceviches! But the plate with chopped fish, cucumbers and onions is not what I order. I did ask if it was whole fish when I pointed at the menu and told yes. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I believe there was a language barrier and the menu is in Spanish with a little English which I can't read or speak all it said was fried fish. Not quite sure about what the two other reviews are about, but they are completely wrong. This place is one of the best things to ever happen to the Kerman/Fresno area. I've been to all the top sushi places in Fresno/Clovis, and all the top Mexican restaurants in Fresno/Clovis, and Ceviches & Beer is by far the best of both worlds. Their food is NOT over priced. For two people (2 fountain drinks, 2 large tacos, side of beans and rice, chips and salsa, and a large sushi roll) was only $35 which is very reasonably priced ESPECIALLY for the quality, portions, and freshness of the food. My boyfriend and I went there at 8:30 PM on a Friday night and the whole place was PACKED. Our server was friendly and we received all our food, as well as two sharing plates and all the fixings, within 10 minutes of ordering with a full house...that's pretty phenomenal service to me. As for the food, the chips are fresh, salsa is perfectly made and spicy/flavorful, breaded shrimp tacos are out of this world with fresh tortillas and amazing flavor, the rice and beans are served hot and fresh with traditional great flavor, then last but definitely not least--the SUSHI. Doesn't fall apart at all, amazing fresh ingredients, and comes with FOUR complimentary extra sauces on the side that are all amazing. First time to Ceviches & Beer and I really was shocked at how great this place is. Finding parking was a little challenging (lot was very small). Once we got in to the restaurant I noticed the bar area that look like it was a little cantina outside very nice touch. And you can tell this is a local favorite from how packed it was. We didn't have any alcoholic drinks, but this looks like a good spot for the pre party. We watched the waiters and waitresses walked by with all these fancy margaritas, and cocktails. The wife and I had shrimp and fish tacos and shared the large shrimp cocktail. The shrimp cocktail had tons of flavor and they put a good amount of shrimp. Shrimp tacos are amazing I was a little disappointed in the Battered fish taco just didn't seem like there was enough flavor in the sauce they used or on the batter itself. Came from another cowtown towards this way And dec ided to make a stop. Omg! Was a lil turned off by the price, but supply and demand in this hellhole they call Kerman. Had the tostada de habanero and it was too damn good. Perfect blend of flavor and heat. Raw habanero pieces put the pussy on the chainwax. The roll was decent, rice stuck together well and toppings weren't falling off excessive. Also, hands down probably one of the best Michelada's I've ever had, and I only Got the basic ten dollar one. Been here a few times and each time my experience has been the same. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Every single time, I get the same server. She always acts like you are bothering her, like she's doing you favor and like her time on the clock is her time only. She always takes her time to get the basics out to the table (menu, chips and salsa). Drinks of course take another 5-10 to get and then if you don't place your order before she walks away, then you need to wait another 10 minutes. Food to get to table is between 10-15 minutes long ( this is when there is only two occupied tables). So by that time, if you only have a 30 minute lunch you are screwed! The food is SUPER EXPENSIVE!!!!! The last time I dinned there (which is the very last) this server was behind the bar getting someone's plate ready and I noticed her sticking her fingers in the food, and while a young man from kitchen got behind her and started caressing her shoulder and neck with his face while she was getting this plate ready with her fingers. Each time I have gone to the restaurant, I easily spend anywhere $30-$40 for 4 tacos or for 1 burrito!!!! The price and service is not worth the dent on pocket book. Thought maybe helping on a local restaurant was the right thing to do, but apparently it seems like local support is not worthy. Therefore, they will no longer have my support!!! Kerman needed this. Was very surprised. I expected mariachi music but they were playing good classic country and other greats like Jimmy Buffett and Tom Petty. Dont get me wrong they mixed in some good mariachi and mexican music as well. The Fish ceviche was great! This was worth going to. Kerman has to many mexican food places and this is a change of pace. They had some interesting mixed drinks going out in clay glasses but did not see on menu with descriptions of them or other mixed drinks that would of been good. For a town that mainly has Mexican food and pizza, this place has a lot of competition. For the price, I'd say it is pretty descent. I must say it looks a lot better now that it has an actual sign instead of the banner that was covering up the Yukon Jack sign. It is a little pricey, with most of the seafood dishes close to 20 bucks, but they give you nice-sized portions. There are only a couple sit-down Mexican food options in Kerman, and the atmosphere here is nice. I've had the carnitas, which were fine, the mango shrimp tostada (a bit too sweet for my taste), and the shrimp red sauce tostada. It's worth a try.
