The BEST teriyaki chicken in Fresno.

This is the best teriyaki chicken in Fresno. The flavor is immaculate and the portion size is worth every penny. The food is authentic and I enjoyed the sweet customer service the most. Please go check it out!!

Fast service and good menu choices! We tried this restaurant as we stopped over on our way to Yosemite. Overall, we were very happy with this restaurant. Located about 5 minutes from Highway 41 in Fresno, this restaurant offers a wide variety of Asian food such as pho, Vietnamese sandwich, stir fried noodles and even cajun seafood dishes. I ordered the 1 pound cajun shrimp and the dish was delicious. Service was extremely fast and our food was ready in around 5 minutes. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive as well. Great place for delicious Asisn food!

COVID-19 Phase: I called in and ordered their Thai boat noodle soup and spring rolls. At first I wanted the Thai noodle soup, but I wanted chicken and the worker said it only comes with pork. I do not care for pork, but luckily the worker said they have a chicken noodle soup so that one won! Chicken couldn't be put in instead of pork. That's what the worker told me. I also asked if shrimp could be added and that wasn't a problem. Just an extra charge. Perfect for this rainy weather! The worker said it would be ready shortly! I went to get it! The restaurant is clean and my order was ready when I arrived. The worker was okay. Not real welcoming. I checked out on the new register aka iPad and you can include the tip on there. I was happy with the way the worker packed it up. It could have been a total mess, but luckily it was only a small mess! The container that the soup was in split and went out everywhere! Total mess, but that worker packaged it in another bag so it went in there and not everywhere! You'll see in the pics. Still messy, but could've been worse! The chicken noodle soup was good! Thick, scrumptious noodles with shredded chicken! Spicy hot oil was provided and that made it better! Adding a little spice always makes it better! It was also seasoned and worked well on this rainy day! I paid extra for shrimp to be added on it and I only found 2 little shrimps in it. Lol! Not worth the extra charge. The shrimp spring roll was really fresh and tasty! The flavor made it better with the sauce that came with it! Yum! Just wish more sauce was given. There was only enough sauce for about 2 rolls and it comes with 3 in an order. Good lunch! Good amount too. Leftovers!

    Khao Soy

Lotus Pho is the spot. They got Vietnamese, Thai, Laos and Louisana all under one roof. Came by here and tried the Khao Soy Noodle Bowl for the first time and it was delicious. Fresh side of veggies came out with my hot bowl of Khao Soy, filled with beef steak and meatball. The service here was quick and the waitress was friendly, helping me make decisions on my order. Spacious dining area with TVs all around. Good amount of parking as well so a large party can gather here. Go check it out.

The khao soy was so good! Tasted like my parents. Papaya salad came in a huge portion. We only got 2 spring rolls instead of 3. My sons fish nugget and shrimp came last and we got the appetizer way after we got our entrees

I come here a few times every year and am usually pretty satisfied with my food but it's out of the way for me so I don't come often. It's not in the best part of town but I think that adds to the charm. I love hole in the wall places and I'm always rooting for places like this. I've had papaya salad, chicken wings, Tom yum, Khao poon nam pa, and Thai boat from here and they've all been tasty and filling. Everything was flavorful and very rich. My reason for giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is I wish their Thai boat included Chinese broccoli or some other type of green veggie like it normally would and their portions for for papaya salad and chicken wings were small for the price. I'd recommend this place and will have to try their seafood one of these days.

    Beef pho and calamari
    Keo K.

Thought I give this place a try. It definitely got a makeover from the inside from its last owner. Looks nice and clean inside. Menu was nice simple and organized. One page front and back. Price was typical average rage. Weather was good for a bowl of pho and my favorite calamari. Unfortunately food wasn't to my liking. The pho noodle was a little like chalky mush taste which is pretty much like old noodles. The beef broth was ok with a little side ingredients added in. Calamari was bland with a chalky batter taste to it. Looks like MSG seasoning on it. Portion was small for the price. Overall for the two dishes I paid a little too much for what it's worth. The service was good and fast since it wasn't busy. A little disappointed with the out come.

The employees are so nice and friendly and really make the space feel inviting. They also have something for everyone here, from Chinese food to Laotian food to Vietnamese and Thai food. If you want fresh vegetables, hot comforting soup, or saucy flavorful noodles, this is the place to be. (Not to mention the plethora of Asian dessert available for purchase!) I came in and was served many dishes to photograph, and each of them looked absolutely delicious. I got to try 2 things in particular: the pork belly and the orange chicken and chow mein. Let's talk about that pork belly--I just couldn't stop eating it! It was crispy on the outside skin and the perfect amount of fatty, juicy, and tender in the meat part. And if that alone was not already delicious, the SAUCE!! The sauce was acidic, fresh, and absolutely addicting. I was picking up pieces of pork belly just for the sauce! The orange chicken and chow mein was also a hit--the perfect size of chicken pieces, the right amount of sauce, and saucy, flavorful chow mein with fresh vegetables. I mean, really a treat. I also got to drink their Thai tea, and it was sweet and creamy and perfectly refreshing to finish off my big meal. The restaurant got really busy at lunch and it's so comforting to see so many people gather for great food and just relax and enjoy a meal. Not to mention, the dishes I photographed were graciously given away to customers--these owners and employees are just incredible. Parking was easy, plenty to go around. Make sure to check them out and don't skip on the pork belly!

The staff seem young and untrained, and they drop food off and disappear like it's a magic trick. No time to ask for anything--still waiting on the veggies that come with pho. At this point, I think they're being shipped from overseas. Food quality? Down bad. Prices? Up like gas. I ordered the Thai boat special, and the "fried" pork belly was basically 99% fat, 1% disappointment--and not even fried. It tasted like pho that gave up on life. We also ordered pork belly with sticky rice... or at least we thought we did. After 40 minutes and reminding three different servers, it never came. I wasn't sure if I was dining or participating in a scavenger hunt. And the restroom? No hand soap, no paper towels--just vibes. Apparently cleanliness is optional now. This used to be my spot, but I won't be back anytime soon. Maybe I'll return when the service improves... or when my pork belly finishes its long journey back from wherever it went.

We had come here last year in the summer but I had forgotten to write a review. We came back a few…read moredays ago to get some noodles. They have a large variety of noodles here, pho, thai boat noodles, khao soy, khao poon, and also tons of other thai /cambodian / lao choices. We got a thai boat noodle, khao soy, and pork belly to share. The thai boat noodle and khao soy are delicious. It was my first time ordering khao soy I thought khao soy was a curry based dish, but my noodles were a pork based broth, still yummy though! The pork belly here is huge and served hot and super crispy, miles better than any other pork belly I've tried. The thai tea had an off putting flavor, like they had made it with soy mik? instead of condensed evaporated milk? Total was $83 after tax and tip, this place is pretty hole in the wall but even hole in the wall places have to charge more now to keep up with inflation. Great fast service !

Khao soy. Soy happy.*…read more Why Khao Soy? Because Kh-ao piek and Kh-ao poon feel as standardized as ph-o, but Khao Soi seems to vary from shop to shop. Not just the spelling. Just my observation. And this was amongst the top 3 of the Khao Soys I've had. Lao Kao Soi anyway. The Th-ai version is a different dish to me. I came here Sunday evening. Things were slow. I told him the order just as he gave me the menu, and in exchange, he gave me a plate of bean sprouts and lime wedge instead. Haven't seen that for Kao Soy yet. Then came the utensils. And soon, the ginormous bowl, nay, tub, of KaSoy. The last time I saw a bowl this big in the Bay Area was decades ago in a pho house. They don't make extra larges like they used to in SF. I felt like Patrick, longing, staring with excitement and anticipation at SpongeBob's Pea-nut On-ion Sun-dae , trying to hold down the giggles and butterflies while my eyebrows are sparking. Except this Khao Soy actually SMELLS GOOD. And I still have my eyebrows. And I was not disappointed. The soup was HOTTT, with 3 Ts. The size of the bowl helped keep it that way. The surface of the lava lake was covered by the ground pork that defines Khao Soy. Completely. Just look at the picture. (I took a sip of the broth with the spoon before the picture) I promise you that I didn't go in with a camera in my hand, or point my phone as if I'm taking a video. Maybe it's the end of the day and they were feeling generous or just needed the ground pork gone. Well, I used my phone as a phone, and I didn't use the camera until this bowl came out. Just trust me. The broth was rich with notes of fermented bean paste and heavy notes of garlic, cut by the freshness of tomatoes. Heavy by the standards of a rice noodle soup. The lime helps. You might want to use an extra wedge too. Don't hold back though. There's a treasure hunt in progress. You see, within this bowl were a bunch of roast pork pieces. Quality roast pork pieces. The chicharron still very crispy when I got to each piece. (But that doesn't mean you should sin by letting the chicharron get soggy!) Seems like others have their roast pork left on top, but mine had sunk to the bottom when the Khao soy had landed. No big. This is like how won-ton noodle soups are served when you're Canto, the best stuff at the bottom. What impressed was that the roast pork was still crispy! The particular flat rice noodles used seems to be re-hydrated dried noodles. Normally a downgrade but in this case, a good move. Yes, fresh noodles carry the soup better, but in this boiling cauldron, the noodles used handled the heat much better and longer. After I had finished the noodles, the soup was still very hot, enough that I added the bean sprouts, which were still cooked to a point that they were absorbing the soup's flavor. I tried to finish the soup, but failed. Soooo close, but I have a drive to drive, and I don't want to have an accident on the way back. I don't know where the actual banos are in Los Banyos, and they're probably closed by the time I'm passing through. Now mind you, this is about as heavy as rice noodle soup will get. Take your time once you've found the chicharron. Share it if you can. Don't rush like me or you'll be burping garlic like I did rushing back to SF. If you are on a drive between SoCal and SF Bay or Sac, may I suggest taking the 99 instead of the 5? Instead of hours of just brown yellow and gas stations, you can stop at cities with proper markets. Instead of grab and go fast food or selling your kidney at Harris, why not enjoy some proper, affordable, sit-down chow in Fresno? Maybe this will open your eye to new foods as well! *(Yes. Yes. Terrible espanyol, if you can even call that Spanish, don't come at me with chanclas, pour favour!)
