Came 7:50 Monday and got seated right away. Waitress brought waters and menu promptly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute little place with 4 tables and wall counter hi chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean table with cover.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Drunken noodles came first. Then massaman curry and tom kha soup. They are all ok, not the best but above average. Good service. Good portion for the price. Need update the website menu since price are obsoleted quick. Hey Thai, Dropped by your place on the way up from LA. Quite a detour from the 99, but heard good things about you from a friend, and we had time, so made the detour. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First impression was, you are the epitome of mom and pop. Small, quaint, clearly family run, child chilling in the back kitchen while adults work[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was really craving Pas Thai recently but got scared by the mixed reviews. I heard later it is because your style of Pad Thai is different (more street style) so it's prob expectations that causes the mixed reviews. Will try next time. Here is what we got. Pad sew Chicken Larb Fried Pork Belly Green Curry Everything was pretty good. No complaints. Loved the fried pork belly. Overall had a good experience with you. The only turn off was the unexpected Surcharge. I really don't like these as they are unexpected and there is no explanation of why. Also when you pay it flashed on screen pretty quick. Then only the total is shown when deciding on tips and such. Just personally a real turn off. Prefer you get rid of surcharge and raise prices of dishes if you need. No need to leave any bad taste is ppls mouths at the end of a good experience. That's my two cents!

I came here with a friend for dinner. When we first sat, it was pretty full and then it cleared out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a pretty small place, you seat yourself.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got red curry with sticky rice. The curry was very flavorful, and the sticky rice was cooked nicely. For the taste I would go back, but probably would order to go. The service was ok, it could have been better. It seemed like they didn't really care to be there. No one was rude, they just didn't check on us or ask if we needed anything else. We just had to get their attention to ask for things and they weren't busy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is also no restroom here, so that made it inconvenient.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is good though.

Combo pad thai. Worst I've had.

Sadly the worst pad Thai I have ever had. Dry, clunky, and had an unbearable fishy taste. Pork belly had good flavor but cut too small for my liking. I did enjoy the panange beef. But the pad thai is what killed it for me. I won't be back. Staff seem very nice and friendly although I was just in for a pick up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean but small restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Family owned friendly and attentive staff who take pride in what they serve. More original Thai flavor than most Thai restaurants in Fresno. They specialize in street fare which gives it that quick smoky sticky flavor. Large portions and fair authentic flavor makes this a local favorite among a variety of patrons.

Tried Thai Taste for the first time and had a good experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is a little small, but we got seated really fast, and the staff was super friendly and helpful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the pork egg rolls you get five, and they were really good , nice and crunchy just how I like them. We also tried the yellow chicken curry, which had really good flavor and was more on the soupy side. The chicken pad Thai had good flavor, and of course I had to try the basil rice, which I really liked. Overall, it was a good experience. If you're in the area and craving Thai food, this is a place worth trying.

When you are heading back from Yosemite and the siren call of fast food does not appeal, come to Thai Taste. Delicious Thai staples like pad see ew and spring roll and panang curry. The friendly service made everything perfect!

Service: Amazing Food: Authentic [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance: Great[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been to Thailand and have had the privilege to experience real authentic Thai cuisine. I feel like Thai Taste really does deliver on the "authentic street food" slogan. When I go to Thai restaurants, I like to judge the big 3. Pad Thai, Thai Tea, and Thai Fried Rice. If a place can't take me back to the streets of Bangkok, I will not go back. Pad Thai: Amazing. It had the right flavor and spice level. Add the peanuts and crack sauce on top. Thai Fried Rice: Flavorful, Smokey, and moist. Slap the crack sauce on top of this too. AMAZING. Thai Tea: honestly tastes like the Thai teas I would get at the markets in Bangkok. Lots of tea flavor. Delicious. I will be going back to try more dishes since the big 3 passed.

FIVE STARS ALL THE WAYYYYY The Chicken Pad Thai and egg rolls were amazing. We also got to try authentic Thai Tea and Tiger Thai Tea, they were both delicious but the Tiger was our favorite! The staff was phenomenal and service was fantastic too! Literally best spontaneous decision we ever made

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What drew me in to this business were the aromas flooding the area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was like omg where is that smell coming from?!? [[HIGHLIGHT]]Right across from Fresno State stadium is this little Thai restaurant which was pushing so much flavor in the air.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just looking thru the glass window you can see one of the owners happily serving dishes to their customers with a big smile. I came in to order fried pork belly, pad Thai, Thai tea and papaya salad was on the house. The crispy fried pork belly was on point, that was the flavor filling the air outside of the business. Almost reminiscent of the old Ac Deli location on first and olive before it burned down. Everything was made fresh to order. The Owners are husband and wife, she is from Thailand so they're authentic Thai flavors and the current cook is a former of Royal Thai Orchid restaurant. I will definitely come back to try other things on menu.

Pad See Ew, Tom Kha Kai Soup, Pork Egg Rolls, Fried Garlic & Pepper. Was all amazing. Hats off to the Chef's.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. I've eaten at dozens of Thai restaurants across California--some fancy, some hole-in-the-wall--but Thai Taste in Fresno might just be the best. The crispy pork with sticky rice is hands-down phenomenal. The pork skin is perfectly crunchy, the meat is juicy, and when dipped in their green and red chili sauces, it's pure flavor heaven. The sauces are fresh, punchy, and balanced--clearly made in-house with care. Their Sukhothai noodles? Incredible. The broth is rich and full of depth, the noodles have a great bite, and the meatballs are tender and flavorful. It's a dish that feels both comforting and exciting--exactly what Thai food should be. On top of that, the owner is the sweetest and makes everyone feel genuinely welcome. You can taste the love in the food and feel it in the service. If you're someone who appreciates authentic, bold, thoughtfully prepared Thai food, this place is worth the drive. Truly a hidden gem--and absolutely Michelin-worthy in flavor and hospitality.

Idk. *shrugs* This time we got: Pad Kra Pao, Pad Se-Ew (beef), Yellow Curry (chicken), and Thai Style Papaya Salad for dinner. We each had a different favorite dish out of the three entrees... Pad Se-Ew was mine (noodle head), followed by the Pad Kra Pao (perfect flavor, not too strong on the basil, egg fried just right), then the curry last (I prefer green or red more). The salad was good, refreshing. No spice whatsoever, but we knew that (one of the girls can't handle as much spice). The winner of our dinner? The Thai Tea Flight! I love the option of flights anywhere I go. It gives you the chance to try all the flavors you're curious about without committing to one that you may or may not like. Man... these were amazing. If I had to rank the flavors-- it was a toss-up between the Original Thai Tea and the Ube but since this is the battle of the Thai Teas... the OG gets a slight edge. Both freaking amazing though (we ordered full sizes of these after). Obviously Thai Iced Coffee comes next but coffee should be it's own category. It wins on its own as coffee. The Green Thai Tea came in last for all 3 of us, I believe. It's good, just not as good as the other three... and it's definitely more fragrant? Idk the right word for it. Anyway, I'd make more stops here just for these drinks alone now that i know how good they are. Staff was amazing. Friendly. Attentive. Restaurant still very aesthetic. Their plating of the meals? A+. It was a very good dinner.

The compound tofu was very flavorful. It wasn't mushy. The tofu was firm and all the seasonings paired well with it. The dude enjoyed his meal with the steak and purple rice. The rice was pretty good. I did not try the steak as I'm not vegetarian. But he really enjoyed it as it was butterfly pea rice. Our cocktails were delicious. Balanced not too sweet. It hit the spot. We were very impressed with this place and really enjoyed our time here all the flavors popped in every dish we had was delicious even the appetizer of the spring rolls. Very crunchy light and not greasy. Overall, this was a great spot to grab a delicious meal, date night, or celebrate. I would come just to come again definitely will be back.

We got there around 11:30 AM, and it wasn't busy at all, which was a huge plus! We got seated right away, and our server was super sweet and answered all of our questions. We started with the Thai tea, and I'm so glad we did because it was SO good! It was refreshing, and I'd definitely order it again. I ordered the Lunch Combo Special ($19), which came with two veggie egg rolls, Pad Thai, Panang chicken curry, and your choice of potato soup or salad. I went with the potato soup. It came with half of a potato in a broth, and honestly, it was way better than I expected! It had a lot of flavor. I thought you got a lot of food for the price. The veggie egg rolls were nice and crunchy, and the Pad Thai was really good, especially since it was my first time trying it. My favorite part was definitely the Panang chicken curry. It had so much flavor, and I'd absolutely order it again. Overall, this is such a good lunch spot! The food was really good, the portions were great, and everyone was so nice and helpful. My friend has also ordered their lunch to go before and said they still give you a lot of food, so that's good to know too. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend stopping by for lunch. I really liked the spot, and we were looking for a Thai place we like that is closer to where we live - in the Bullard High area. We started off with vegetable egg rolls that were beautifully rolled and perfectly fried, and came with a delicious sauce. That was followed by a Chicken Larb Salad that was fresh and delicious. It was spicy - we requested medium spice on the two dishes that offered a range of spice - but perfectly seasoned. My only complaint would be that there were too few lettuce leaves to wrap in. Our main dishes were Pad Thai and the Thai Chili Basil Crispy Pork. Both were very tasty. The Crispy Pork was one of the best things I've had in a while. It too was supposed to be medium spiced, but interestingly not nearly as spicy as the Larb Salad. I only had a couple of bites of the Pad Thai, but those were very good, and my wife enjoyed it. Finally, for the amount of food we had, the price was very reasonable.

**Review from 2024 .......... Added here from previous trip**…read more So finally tried Thai Basil. Here is my honest review.... I am sooo glad we have something different in Madera. With that said here we go... Service.. service was super slow for an empty Sunday night. The young lady taking orders had no clue what sauces were on the dishes, had no clue what the ingredients were, she couldn't explain anything, she read the description on the menu back to me. She stated she had not had most dishes there. Her description of the cucumber salad was it's cucumber in a clear watery sauce.. ‍ I'm happy she was there to take our orders and she was nice. Presentation.. Presentation was quite nice for Madera! It was nice to see simple, yet pretty playing! The curry soup.. the flavors were quite muted for Thai food IMO. It was a good difference in texture having it topped with wontons. We ordered it medium spicy as well, which was great. The spicy pork flat noodle dish had great heat at medium spice level, wish I would have gone hot, since I like things SPICY . The texture of the pork was quite tough since they used a leaner cut of meat which was ok. I was surprised at the amount of meat on the plate for a noodle dish. Speaking of noodles they were almost sprinkled in in super small pieces, but the texture was on point. We wished there were more noodles. The broccoli seemed out of place I wish there was more Chinese broccoli which was cooked to perfection!!! The cucumber salad was delicious!!! We both stated we wished the onions weren't three inches long. I will definitely be making this at home! It would be a perfect pairing to grilled chicken or shrimp for a nice summer dinner!! We loved it!!! Saltiness of the food.. I think of Thai as having a few key flavors and the dishes are definitely on the saltier side, this was lacking salt, butttttt I prefer more salt than most people so not a true fair assessment. I was surprised there weren't any sauces on the table. Design and lay out.. it was very small inside but they did well with the space allotted and I loved the decor. The place needs a good dusting, we sat next to the wall and the wood was white with dust directly over the table. Overall it was a great meal considering I didn't have to cook, the plating was lovely, and it was something different for Madera! I wish them well!!! I'm happy they are here!!! Buttttttttt so far Coconut Cafe in Merced has a strong hold on our heart!! I can't wait to go back and try the Larb and the Pad Thai!
