    Innards soup
    Mary T.

I was lookin to get some intestine soup and found they had innards soup. About the same except it wasn't just all intestines. It had other innards just as the soup name suggests. Service was great. They were informative and also gave me a couple of other dish suggestions to try next time that compliments the soup. They told me the beef larb either cooked or raw. So I might just try that next time. I ended up getting the innards soup and saw they also had kow mun gai.. I haven't had that since my friend made a dish for me and hers was bomb af. So let's see what this was hittin for. I got that and the soup. The soup I really liked. It got little chopped up Thai chilis in it and I was like BET Ik this gone be good! Yes it was. Very soothing. The kow mun gai was good but I had better. It's not bad. I could still order that again too if I'm in the mood for it.

Going based off what I ordered. I would need to try other things here before I can get a final thought if I like it or not. Okay so I ordered on the phone their intestine soup, which in lao is GANG KUNG NAI OR THOM KUNG NAI. I ordered it that way and I don't think she understood what I said so I just said it in the English "intestine soup", which is deceiving because there's barely any intestines. Anyway, the color of the soup and the chopped chilis made it look promising but I was wrong. It literally tasted like boiled fatty cuts of meat and some innards, cooked in pho broth. I didn't see any aromatics like galangal or kaffir lime leaves. This isn't your traditional "intestine" soup aka innard soup. I didn't get to take a picture of it because I was hungry and I just rushed to have a little bowl. For $17 too! It was pretty disappointing, I've had it better elsewhere and usually they'll ask if you want it kind of bitter that's how you know it's traditional. I will be coming back to give them another try with their other dishes since the pictures do look good and see if it makes up for the soup lol. The place is pretty small, cute and cozy . Just don't try to dine in with like a 10 plus people. It's right on the Main Street but have plenty of parking. They also have hot food to go.

In my opinion the best chicken and dice and sausage and rice plates. Ready to go very generous portions Extremely flavorful. The sauce is one of one so savory and sweet with a slight kick. Would definitely recommend anyone eat this. If I lived in Fresno I'd be here everyday lol no lie Uncle behind the counter is so cool he hella chill and the most respectful person I've met. They treat you like family when you walk through the door. I live it here and I hope more customers go by and try this authentic mom and pops restaurant.

Food is Awesome, I haven't had all the food, but what my family and I have had so far, it's delicious. Owner Sak & Prat have great customer service and feel like family.

I love this restaurant! I was wanting to do something to celebrate the TLC New Year and was able to reserve a time/table with the owner for a small group dinner. The restaurant is very clean and the decor is very Thai/Lao. The owner was very nice and let me set a reservation close to closing and they let us stay past closing. Definitely ask about reserving time and tables for events! The food was delicious. We had Lao style papaya salad, pad Thai, Lao sausage, red curry, and Thai tea. The Thai tea is the best I've ever had. And the papaya was so good. I asked for Lao style but with a little more sour to it. The owner also gave us a sample of their Lao jerky.

8/10/24 Called and ordered shrimp spring rolls with an extra peanut sauce. The worker was kind and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. Go in to pick up. Greeted by kind worker and he said it was almost ready. Very nice restaurant. Small, but still plenty of seating. It was ready shortly later. I paid for it and it was handed over in a bag with good day wishes! Lunchtime! Order split. My shrimp spring roll was Great! Fresh & tasty and it had a Great sweet sauce with it! Mother said hers was Great! Great service and Great shrimp spring rolls! Highly recommended! Great name too!=)~

I was craving Southeast Asian food and wanted to try something besides Sweet Mango which is across the street. I usually never go far from my comfort food which is Sticky rice with meat and a Papaya salad. Every now and then I will get other items. I am very picky about my food. I got their hot to go Sticky rice and sausage (I like the sausage better than Sweet Mango). The sticky rice was a good portion. Sausage was minced and stuffed well. Not as herby as I like, but that might work for others. Their chili sauce in it is good to. I got their papaya lao style. It was fresh and crunchy. The flavor was a good salty flavor. Spice was medium and was pretty spicy, but the kick was good. Thai tea is literally the best I've had in Fresno. The owners were so sweet, friendly and talkative. It is a small hole in the wall and sometimes those are the best places for ethnic food! Thai Me Up has been open only 6 months so if you want to support local and love thai food, definitely check them out! I want to get some Drunken Noodles for my husband to try!

Nice little hole in hole mom and pop shop. Super friendly owners that greets you every time. Food is flavorful and made with authentic flavors. It's a nice little spot with just 5 tables. Authentic Lao and Thai food. Give it a try if you haven't. Recommend!

Small little restaurant, everything was good. The Thai tea was one of the best I've had. Friendly people, I got greeted instantly. Will definitely try again

Ordered pad thai and its good. Its just too spicy for me because i think they put the chili flakes on just one side. They are friendly and nice.

Overall, the menu leans a bit outside of the traditional Thai flavors I'm used to, which made the experience interesting and different. The space itself is beautiful and makes it a great spot for a dinner date or a night out. The staff was also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. The flavoring was OK not very sweet kind of bland but when you add the green sauce to it, it elevated the flavors and was amazing. I don't think that I would eat any of the dishes without the green sauce as the flavor profile is not very strong. Except this Khao Soy actually SMELLS GOOD. And I still have my eyebrows. And I was not disappointed. The soup was HOTTT, with 3 Ts. The size of the bowl helped keep it that way. The surface of the lava lake was covered by the ground pork that defines Khao Soy. Completely. Just look at the picture. (I took a sip of the broth with the spoon before the picture) I promise you that I didn't go in with a camera in my hand, or point my phone as if I'm taking a video. Maybe it's the end of the day and they were feeling generous or just needed the ground pork gone. Well, I used my phone as a phone, and I didn't use the camera until this bowl came out. Just trust me. The broth was rich with notes of fermented bean paste and heavy notes of garlic, cut by the freshness of tomatoes. Heavy by the standards of a rice noodle soup. The lime helps. You might want to use an extra wedge too. Don't hold back though. There's a treasure hunt in progress. You see, within this bowl were a bunch of roast pork pieces. Quality roast pork pieces. The chicharron still very crispy when I got to each piece. (But that doesn't mean you should sin by letting the chicharron get soggy!) Seems like others have their roast pork left on top, but mine had sunk to the bottom when the Khao soy had landed. No big. This is like how won-ton noodle soups are served when you're Canto, the best stuff at the bottom. What impressed was that the roast pork was still crispy! The particular flat rice noodles used seems to be re-hydrated dried noodles. Normally a downgrade but in this case, a good move. Yes, fresh noodles carry the soup better, but in this boiling cauldron, the noodles used handled the heat much better and longer. After I had finished the noodles, the soup was still very hot, enough that I added the bean sprouts, which were still cooked to a point that they were absorbing the soup's flavor. I tried to finish the soup, but failed. Soooo close, but I have a drive to drive, and I don't want to have an accident on the way back. I don't know where the actual banos are in Los Banyos, and they're probably closed by the time I'm passing through. Now mind you, this is about as heavy as rice noodle soup will get. Take your time once you've found the chicharron. Share it if you can. Don't rush like me or you'll be burping garlic like I did rushing back to SF. If you are on a drive between SoCal and SF Bay or Sac, may I suggest taking the 99 instead of the 5? Instead of hours of just brown yellow and gas stations, you can stop at cities with proper markets. Instead of grab and go fast food or selling your kidney at Harris, why not enjoy some proper, affordable, sit-down chow in Fresno? Maybe this will open your eye to new foods as well! *(Yes. Yes. Terrible espanyol, if you can even call that Spanish, don't come at me with chanclas, pour favour!)

Perfectly fresh crisp lettuce, fresh mint, and fresh perfect noodles. I can't say enough of fresh and tasty these were. The peanut sauce was rich and think with a slight sweet flavor. Very nice. The bao buns, has crispy bread, with a I nice mix of veggies, and this tasty sweet sesame mayo that ties it all together. The sausages were my favorite. I was amazed at how many herbs and flavors they managed to pack in a single sausage. But it was incredible. The service was great, because the owner helped us. She's kind and just happy to host. Honestly, this place was so good, I just can't wait to go back.

After being seated and served water, it took quite some time for our server, Leth, to take our orders. One coworker specifically ordered the pork belly appetizer and confirmed twice that it was entered correctly. He assured her it was. Shortly after ordering, appetizer plates, spoons, and napkins were brought out, so we assumed everything was in progress. Food slowly began arriving, but service issues quickly became apparent. The first entrée served was a beef pad thai, and when my coworker asked for a fork, our server instead asked if anyone wanted chopsticks. He returned several minutes later with only two pairs of chopsticks and had to be reminded again about the forks. By the time utensils finally arrived, several people were already halfway through their meals. Unfortunately, our server rarely checked back on the table. When my coworker never received the pork belly appetizer she had confirmed twice, she had to walk to the register herself, only to be told it had never been entered into the system. There was also confusion regarding to-go orders and payment. One coworker initially informed the server she had a to-go order and wanted it on a separate check, and he agreed. Later, another to-go order was placed separately as well. At the end of the meal, when we requested split checks, we were told the system only allowed two. We adjusted and agreed to one group check and one separate check for bookkeeping purposes. However, when we reminded the server that the to-go order had been promised on a separate check, he denied ever agreeing to it. Things became even more frustrating when I paid and requested a receipt for record-keeping. Leth told me to wait while he processed the remaining payment and reprinted it. After about 15 minutes, he never returned. As coworkers started leaving, several of us went to the counter to follow up. He eventually returned with only a credit card slip and kitchen printout, claiming he could not reprint the receipt. A manager later approached and explained that she had been told we didn't want a receipt, which was simply untrue--we specifically requested one for bookkeeping. To add to the disappointment, the mango sticky rice we ordered to go came with corn and taro, which was not disclosed anywhere on the menu or in the photos. This was an unexpected surprise and something customers should be aware of, especially for food allergies or dietary restrictions. I would strongly recommend updating the menu description and photos to clearly reflect all ingredients. This experience was especially disappointing because we've visited before and ordered takeout multiple times without issue. The food itself was actually decent--I'd give it 4 stars--but the service was honestly one of the worst experiences we've had for a planned group lunch. The server seemed overwhelmed, disorganized, and easily confused, which made what should have been a celebratory lunch unnecessarily frustrating. The only thing that salvaged the visit was that the food was decent and the restaurant happened to be close enough to Paris Baguette afterward.
