Sandy's chili has really expanded their menu with so many great new options to choose from. The service is always quick and welcoming, and the staff does an amazing job giving recommendations, which makes trying something new easy. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

Pink drink. Very fragrant and creamy, nice and cold just how I like it.

Delicious sandwhich with an original bread. My all time favorite bun. But yes, give it a try as this place just opened up a year or two ago. Service is amazing and very friendly and smooth. Their quality is always there, you can see and smell it.

NamKhao and pork belly. I think the nam khao was like $6.51 and the pork belly was $8.99-$10.99 I forgot

Very nice staff, a little bit of language barrier but that's ok. I love their pork belly and nam khao. Their nam khao is a decent size for the pricing. I just wish it made to order so that it stays crispy because it is prepackaged, the containers builds up moisture and softens up the nam khao but can't complain for the price and portion and still taste good. In my opinion, I think they have one of the best pork belly in town.

This is a great little to go place located in the 76 gas station . They have boba drinks , and Thai / Laotian food . I got a papaya salad extra spicy, nham Kao, and a sausage / sticky rice dish to go. Total was $27, portion size is great . The papaya salad had a great taste tons of fermented fish flavor and very spicy . It was my first time trying nham Kao and I loved it . Crispy rice with chunks of sausage and herb flavoring . The sausage / sticky rice dish was also great , the sausage was really moist and filled with meat , herbs, and noodle . Great place to grab some food to go or if you are looking for a quick eat !

Chicken and sticky rice. Includes spicy sauce.

Decided to visit by chance on a Saturday afternoon. The place was slightly busy, but the person taking orders was quick, friendly, and efficient. I ordered the Vietnam-style Bahn Mi, chicken with sticky rice, and a Thai tea smoothie. The bahn mi was great. A very solid and traditional style bahn mi. I really liked the bread they used, too. It was perfect. The chicken and sticky rice was a little plain tasting. I expected more flavor on the chicken, but regardless, it was still nice and juicy. The chicken I got came with two legs and a thigh piece. Plenty for one person. The Thai tea smoothie was good but had a minty aftertaste to it which confused me a little since I wasn't used to mint in Thai teas. It wasn't bad at all, just different than expected. Overall, I recommend visiting and trying for yourself. There's lots of options to choose from on their menu, and all the food looks delicious.

A very clean authentic restaurant serving hot food to go they have an extended menu of pad Thai fried rice in a variety of great options. They also serve Boba milkshakes, etc., and assortment of desserts. Their eggrolls are 10 out of 10. Sandys's chili has really really good eggrolls the eggrolls are four for $5 really worth it. The dipping sauce they give you is not watery or runny thin it's the right consistency actually very great very authentic. The chicken is seasoned perfectly. They give you a lot of rice. And the pepper paste is great. Very fast service they are inside a gas station so it's not a quiet place it has seating for you to dine in as well, their grab and go menu is has a good selection of typical selections the chicken sandwich had the crispy bread, veggie on the bread where fresh and great! I'll add extra veggies next time.

I ordered their papaya noodle salad (mama instant noodles) and was sooo DISAPPOINTED! My sister was there earlier and her bowl of payaya noodles salad had everything in it, shrimp and long green along with much more. So I decided to pay them a visit for the same bowl and OMG!! it was such a disappointment. Soooo saddd!!! My bowl only had noodles and a few slice of cabbage. We even showed him the pic of my sister previous bowl and he said OK SURE. The outcome was tremendously tramatizing. He robbed from me, that bowl was 13.00, felt like I was scammed!! NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN!!! Zero

Thum pho
Sandy S.

Thum pho was really good. Ordered it with a medium spice level and it wasn't spicy at all, we should have ordered it spicy. It had a good balance of the pungent fermented fish sauce you want in a Lao style papaya salad. Pho Noodles were cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend. Also got the egg rolls, those were okay. Not the best, but also not bad.

Fried chicken with sticky rice and dipping sauce

Went in here for lunch and it was ok . The cashier wasnt very friendly. I got the chicken and sticky rice . I like how they gave me a good portion of sticky rice but the chicken lacked flavor.

I've been wanting to try this place ever since she opened however I don't live near this area. Luckily today I happened to be in the area and decided to grab some lunch. I ordered mild papaya salad, regular banh mi sandwich and chicken with sticky rice. The papaya salad was the best I've had so far in Fresno! I like that there were thin and thick slices of papaya it gave it great texture, flavor was really good I didn't have to add anything to it and it wasn't too spicy. The banh mi was alright, the bread was kinda hard and in my opinion too much pate and mayo. The chicken and rice was delicious and the pepper sauce that comes with it pairs nicely. I would definitely come back and try her other dishes

I was really excited to try this place because I had tried Sandy's sausage at RN supermarket and it was delicious. We went into the shop which is connected to the gas station store. Their menu was quite extensive for a pick n go kind of store. We ordered sausage and sticky rice, chicken and sticky rice, Lao papaya, and Lao sandwich. My favorite dish was the chicken it had a slightly sweet flavor to it which I enjoyed. Second fav dish was the sausage. I didn't like the papaya at all; it was missing something although I couldn't pinpoint what. The Lao sandwich was alright. I probably wouldn't be going back but do encourage people to try it at least once. I do really like their sausages and will continue to buy the frozen ones at RN.

Service was great. Ambiance is what you'd expect from a place like this. ORDER: Khao Piak (extra chicken): Noodles were soooo good, thick & chewy. Chicken was tender, juicy dark meat. Soup was flavorful. Some crunchy fried garlic would level this up! Kao Boon Red Curry Chicken Soup: Good flavor & nicely spicy w/out being too spicy. Tiny eggs were creamy & delicious. Addition of shredded cabbage was good. Noodles were tender & kept on the side. Chicken was good but all the bones are a bit of a pain. Not into the blood chunks (just not my thing; you may love it). Fried Rolls: Standard. Good. Spring Rolls: Good & nicely filled. I prefer mine w/mint inside too tho. Peanut sauce was excellent (thick & peanutty). Really happy we tried her again (tried not long after she opened but she didn't have most of what we wanted). Just hope she settles on the menu & has everything available in the future. Good food, try her & you won't be disappointed!

The compound tofu was very flavorful. It wasn't mushy. The tofu was firm and all the seasonings paired well with it. The dude enjoyed his meal with the steak and purple rice. Overall, the menu leans a bit outside of the traditional Thai flavors I'm used to, which made the experience interesting and different. The space itself is beautiful and makes it a great spot for a dinner date or a night out. The staff was also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. I'd definitely come back to explore more of the menu--especially dishes with bolder, more pronounced flavors.

The flavoring was OK not very sweet kind of bland but when you add the green sauce to it, it elevated the flavors and was amazing. I don't think that I would eat any of the dishes without the green sauce as the flavor profile is not very strong. Previously, I did order a pork pot Thai, but again the flavor profile was not that great until the green sauce was added I would go again, just due to convenience and the addiction to the green sauce lol

They have a large variety of noodles here, pho, thai boat noodles, khao soy, khao poon, and also tons of other thai /cambodian / lao choices. We got a thai boat noodle, khao soy, and pork belly to share. The thai boat noodle and khao soy are delicious. It was my first time ordering khao soy I thought khao soy was a curry based dish, but my noodles were a pork based broth, still yummy though! The pork belly here is huge and served hot and super crispy, miles better than any other pork belly I've tried. The thai tea had an off putting flavor, like they had made it with soy mik? instead of condensed evaporated milk? Total was $83 after tax and tip, this place is pretty hole in the wall but even hole in the wall places have to charge more now to keep up with inflation. Great fast service !

Khao soy. Soy happy.*…read more Why Khao Soy? Because Kh-ao piek and Kh-ao poon feel as standardized as ph-o, but Khao Soi seems to vary from shop to shop. Not just the spelling. Just my observation. And this was amongst the top 3 of the Khao Soys I've had. Lao Kao Soi anyway. The Th-ai version is a different dish to me. I came here Sunday evening. Things were slow. I told him the order just as he gave me the menu, and in exchange, he gave me a plate of bean sprouts and lime wedge instead. Haven't seen that for Kao Soy yet. Then came the utensils. And soon, the ginormous bowl, nay, tub, of KaSoy. The last time I saw a bowl this big in the Bay Area was decades ago in a pho house. They don't make extra larges like they used to in SF. I felt like Patrick, longing, staring with excitement and anticipation at SpongeBob's Pea-nut On-ion Sun-dae , trying to hold down the giggles and butterflies while my eyebrows are sparking. Except this Khao Soy actually SMELLS GOOD. And I still have my eyebrows. And I was not disappointed. The soup was HOTTT, with 3 Ts. The size of the bowl helped keep it that way. The surface of the lava lake was covered by the ground pork that defines Khao Soy. Completely. Just look at the picture. (I took a sip of the broth with the spoon before the picture) I promise you that I didn't go in with a camera in my hand, or point my phone as if I'm taking a video. Maybe it's the end of the day and they were feeling generous or just needed the ground pork gone. Well, I used my phone as a phone, and I didn't use the camera until this bowl came out. Just trust me. The broth was rich with notes of fermented bean paste and heavy notes of garlic, cut by the freshness of tomatoes. Heavy by the standards of a rice noodle soup. The lime helps. You might want to use an extra wedge too. Don't hold back though. There's a treasure hunt in progress. You see, within this bowl were a bunch of roast pork pieces. Quality roast pork pieces. The chicharron still very crispy when I got to each piece. (But that doesn't mean you should sin by letting the chicharron get soggy!) Seems like others have their roast pork left on top, but mine had sunk to the bottom when the Khao soy had landed. No big. This is like how won-ton noodle soups are served when you're Canto, the best stuff at the bottom. What impressed was that the roast pork was still crispy! The particular flat rice noodles used seems to be re-hydrated dried noodles. Normally a downgrade but in this case, a good move. Yes, fresh noodles carry the soup better, but in this boiling cauldron, the noodles used handled the heat much better and longer. After I had finished the noodles, the soup was still very hot, enough that I added the bean sprouts, which were still cooked to a point that they were absorbing the soup's flavor. I tried to finish the soup, but failed. Soooo close, but I have a drive to drive, and I don't want to have an accident on the way back. I don't know where the actual banos are in Los Banyos, and they're probably closed by the time I'm passing through. Now mind you, this is about as heavy as rice noodle soup will get. Take your time once you've found the chicharron. Share it if you can. Don't rush like me or you'll be burping garlic like I did rushing back to SF. If you are on a drive between SoCal and SF Bay or Sac, may I suggest taking the 99 instead of the 5? Instead of hours of just brown yellow and gas stations, you can stop at cities with proper markets. Instead of grab and go fast food or selling your kidney at Harris, why not enjoy some proper, affordable, sit-down chow in Fresno? Maybe this will open your eye to new foods as well! *(Yes. Yes. Terrible espanyol, if you can even call that Spanish, don't come at me with chanclas, pour favour!)

After being seated and served water, it took quite some time for our server, Leth, to take our orders. One coworker specifically ordered the pork belly appetizer and confirmed twice that it was entered correctly. He assured her it was. Shortly after ordering, appetizer plates, spoons, and napkins were brought out, so we assumed everything was in progress. Food slowly began arriving, but service issues quickly became apparent. The first entrée served was a beef pad thai, and when my coworker asked for a fork, our server instead asked if anyone wanted chopsticks. He returned several minutes later with only two pairs of chopsticks and had to be reminded again about the forks. By the time utensils finally arrived, several people were already halfway through their meals. Unfortunately, our server rarely checked back on the table. When my coworker never received the pork belly appetizer she had confirmed twice, she had to walk to the register herself, only to be told it had never been entered into the system. There was also confusion regarding to-go orders and payment. One coworker initially informed the server she had a to-go order and wanted it on a separate check, and he agreed. Later, another to-go order was placed separately as well. At the end of the meal, when we requested split checks, we were told the system only allowed two. We adjusted and agreed to one group check and one separate check for bookkeeping purposes. However, when we reminded the server that the to-go order had been promised on a separate check, he denied ever agreeing to it. Things became even more frustrating when I paid and requested a receipt for record-keeping. Leth told me to wait while he processed the remaining payment and reprinted it. After about 15 minutes, he never returned. As coworkers started leaving, several of us went to the counter to follow up. He eventually returned with only a credit card slip and kitchen printout, claiming he could not reprint the receipt. A manager later approached and explained that she had been told we didn't want a receipt, which was simply untrue--we specifically requested one for bookkeeping. To add to the disappointment, the mango sticky rice we ordered to go came with corn and taro, which was not disclosed anywhere on the menu or in the photos. This was an unexpected surprise and something customers should be aware of, especially for food allergies or dietary restrictions. I would strongly recommend updating the menu description and photos to clearly reflect all ingredients. This experience was especially disappointing because we've visited before and ordered takeout multiple times without issue. The food itself was actually decent--I'd give it 4 stars--but the service was honestly one of the worst experiences we've had for a planned group lunch. The server seemed overwhelmed, disorganized, and easily confused, which made what should have been a celebratory lunch unnecessarily frustrating. The only thing that salvaged the visit was that the food was decent and the restaurant happened to be close enough to Paris Baguette afterward.
