I love the coffee at this establishment bit last week I walked in and the gentleman working was eating in the work area NOT SANITARY ..Today I walk 5/19 and the young lady as u walk in greeted me with her mask hanging off her face she saw the look I gave her and quickly put it on then proceeded to make my coffee without washing her hands after having her hands on her mask touching my lid etc NO WAY needless to say I will not be back and will be calling the health department !! I truly hope the owner has a talk with these workers ..The poor young lady behind the counter had her mask on but not the greeter by the door and I say the poor young lady behind the counter because what good is her mask if the greeter had none on..I also think it should be mandatory for the patrons to wear mask as it is such a small establishment you think you would care more about your guest read more

I've had a few different toasts and they're always quite tasty- I think they could stand to be toasted a bit more, and I'm sure if I asked they would happily oblige. This is a hot spot for good coffee in Oakley. They have an easy location to get to if your in Oakley around the square. I've had several different drinks from this place and all have been excellent. Right now my favorite thing to get here is their macchiato. It really hits the spot. Hat I like about Deeper Roots is they are always very friendly and the service is always fast. Even when they look super busy they stay on top of everyone's orders. Their coffee beans are very good. I buy it to make at home. Their prices in the store are extremely overpriced. I have been a few times. I stopped in last week and bought one of their specialty drinks, a 'Holy Moly' I think it was called. It was $4.50 and 4oz tops, it was more like a couple of shots in size. It was okay, definitely not worth the price, I also like how other places around town make their coffee better than how they make it, their taste is a little bland. This little coffee shop is super cute and modern. They have nitro coffee (it's like a beer tap system but coffee). I haven't tried it but I plan too. I had an iced latte with almond milk and it was wonderful. They also have pour over coffee, specialty drinks, and pastries. There are several tables for seating but I came here once around 10am on a Saturday and it was standing room only. Staff is nice and will explain anything you have questions about! read more

I go here for straight up cup of good joe...because they make an amazing one (although their specialty list sounds pretty legit too). Great space design with a few high top tables and smaller tables in the back area. Nice for reading/working or meeting up with friends and family. I typically stop on Sundays to catch up on reading and although its busy, its not over crowded or so loud you can't relax and enjoy. Great addition to the community! read more

visiting from new york & stopped by 'deeper roots' this morning to finish some work & try the coffee. the service was exceptional; a young lady at the front was super hospitable & made great suggestions. we enjoyed the single origin (peru) as well as the blend. we also tried a pour over before heading out. they have plenty of space in the back with outlets (a rarity in new york), and the vibe was both welcoming & relaxing. deeper roots should branch out to NYC. if we are ever in cincinnati again, we'll be back! read more

I'm so excited to have another good coffee option! I've been drinking Deeper Roots at Collective locations and now they have their own storefront. The coffee was delicious- everything is pour over and they have a few different options, including a coffee of the day which is a bit cheaper. Their pastries looked amazing, especially the chocolate croissant, but we didn't try any. I would reccommend this as a great new spot to get coffee to go, as we did, or sit and stay a while as they have a little room that's sectioned off that would be nice for writing/reading/talking. read more

The classic local coffee house offers good service and good coffee in a welcoming atmosphere. This is that place. I didn't sample the coffee, but it includes nitro tap and pour-overs, both things I really want to sample. I bought a bag of beans for home, and talked extensively with the barista about options for a home brew setup since my current setup is starting to gasp for air. One of my favorite local coffee shops in Cincinnati. I'm a big fan of locally roasted coffee and I also have a great respect for how Deeper Roots sources their coffee. Working to bring us great coffee while teaching the farmers how to cultivate great beans. Every coffee I've had from here has been great and the staff is always extremely friendly. If they don't have what you want brewed, they're always happy to do a pour-over. I also like the feel of the interior and the convenient location. Why go to a big coffee chain when you can get great coffee for the same price? Support local businesses! read more

I'm here several times a week. It's close by, the coffee is very good, and the staff is friendly and quick. Only downside is that it has limited seating and sometimes you have to get your coffee to go because there isn't anywhere to sit. But still, the product keeps bringing me back. read more

Fantastic. This place has killer espresso drinks including some very subtly flavored to new that are not too sweet. The Honey Bear was delicious with soft notes of Orange. Great little coffeeshop. I much prefer local places like this to chains like Starbucks. The coffee here is to notch, no sugar or cream needed, unless you're into that. We stopped in on a Sunday morning and they had quite a lot of foot traffic. e Got their coffee of the day which was excellent. I also ordered their toast with almond butter and honey which was delicious. My boyfriend ordered the almond croissant which I sampled. Surprise, surprise it was also delicious! I didn't get the vibe that they made the pastries, but wherever they get them from does a good job.
