The summer menu was still available, so I ordered the blueberry cobbler latte. The syrup was a beautiful purple color! It added just a hint of blueberry flavor to the drink but was not too sweet. Dropping a five star review here for the fabulous experience we had with the Urbana team this morning. Their team was hustling to turn orders with the busy Saturday market crowd. We both thoroughly enjoyed our seasonal drinks of orange spice and pumpkin spice. If you're less on the sweet train, I suggest the orange spice. They also had a seasonal eggnog cappuccino with local eggnog that caught my eye. Next time We also picked up a bag of beans as our souvenir for the trip. When I got to the Urbana Cafe counter, I was frustrated because parking was difficult and it took me 30 minutes to find a spot, BUT Urbana turned my mood around - the barista was very friendly and held a conversation with me about traveling and my caramel latte was exactly what I needed to warm me up on a chilly day. read more

I was enjoying my time at Findlay Market, when I spotted Urbana Café. I had seen great reviews about it and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, my experience did not align with those great reviews. The Urbana Café is located on the outer area of Findlay Market, nestled near the middle of the side near Makers Baker. Urbana Café really keeps the area neat and very clean, to say the least. I looked over their menu of coffee offerings and decided on an Iced Caramel Latte. When I approached the counter, I waited on the woman at the cash register to help me. She glanced at me briefly before grumbling, "He'll help you over there." A friendly young man came from the back, took my order and asked another coworker to make my drink. The woman at the cash register put the Square payment block on the counter so I could pay. She didn't look at me the whole time and when the bill was paid, she handed me the receipt without even a thank you. The young man and the other coworker at least said a "bye", or "see you next time". Iced Caramel Latte in hand, I took a quick couple of sips and tasted...nothing. No caramel, no flavor of any kind. In fact, it did not even taste like the coffee I drink from my own home. It was just bland, bitter liquid with ice. After trying to get my money's worth, I threw it away. I'm glad others had a great experience with a really good tasting coffee. However, after the treatment from the cashier and the bitter iced coffee, I cannot recommend this place at all. read more

It's pretty good! Very friendly people. I got a latte - the drink was at the perfect temperature & had the good natural sweetness from milk and espresso. The milk foam was a bit too thick (maybe the steam wand was positioned a bit shallow so it quickly generated the thick foam that was not hot enough & could not blend well with the espresso... maybe) and the espresso had a very gentle bitter & smoky aftertaste to me though. They also have beans for sale that are packed well and look fresh. It's a busy location & get ready to wait a bit during their busy time - a good place to get coffee in the market area. read more

I don't write reviews often but I was waiting for my coffee for 6-7 minutes and the other people waiting for their order were complaining and generally being disgruntled about the wait. As someone who has spent a lot of time at coffee shops if you see a cafe that has an espresso machine that can only pull two shots at a time it is literally impossible to make drinks come faster than the machine. The barista was flying through making drinks as efficiently as possible. They were polite and apologetic for the wait but if there are five+ drinks ahead of you don't be snippy at them. The drink itself was amazing! I often worry if I get a coffee with a syrup it will be way to sweet and distract from the taste of the espresso. It was a lightly sweetened so it didn't drown out the flavor and the quality of the beans made for almost no acidity or bitterness. This cute blue caffeine-charged vespa ape immediately caught my attention. What's not to love about it? The cappucinos were very good, especially as for the portable conditions. We even got some latte art, even though it is quite difficult to achieve it in a paper cup. It says 'coffee with a purpose' on the side of the truck, because a portion of the profits goes to dog rescue organizations, which is very noble! A complimentary cookie from O Pie O was a nice treat. I was at the farmers market and, charmed by the little blue truck, I decided to give this moveable coffee vendor a try. I had the mocha, and I was sadly disappointed. The chocolate was not incorporated at all so all of it was at the bottom of the cup; at the end of the drink I was basically left drinking chocolate sludge. On top if that, the steamed milk had a weird taste. I think either the milk was scalded or the steam wand was not cleaned properly. Very cool little space in Pendleton, polite and nice baristas who will explain any cup you're not familiar with, alter anything to your liking, and make sure you're happy when you get a cup. And that's not gonna be hard to do when you taste the coffee, it is excellent. Great selection, and the fact they do a nitro with almond milk and cocoa added to it is like dessert and a caffeinated cup. Let me preface this by saying I've bought a lot of coffee in my life. And iced coffee. I also have worked in service for 5 years now but never as a full-blown barista. While I should have just asked for a replacement, I felt bad about criticizing the guy working yesterday and I didn't feel like squabbling over it. But really, that was the most watered-down/weak coffee I've ever been served. For almost double the price of an iced coffee you'd get anywhere else. Maybe he misunderstood what I wanted but the cup seemed to be 60-75% ice water before adding the coffee itself. Maybe the cold brew batch was off? Don't think I'll buy another cup of water for $4.50. Also, I wouldn't normally do this and maybe I was giving off weird vibes, or the guy didn't like that I wasn't wearing a mask, or I looked rushed and unkept or something, but I wasn't offered cream or sugar, and I wasn't able to tip or see how much I was charged at all. He actually didn't really speak to me at all besides saying "yup" and "that'll be $4.50." I'll also note, he didn't seem busy or anything so I'm not sure why he'd be so short... I know servers have bad days or bad moments and really it wasn't horrible. Just was hoping for more. read more

Vespacar. The key word here is Vespacar. Nothing else matters when you serve coffee out of a Vespacar. There is an Intelligentsia that serves coffee out of an old Citroen truck. But a Vespacar. I have never seen a Vespacar coffee stand before. So we had just been to Collective Espresso before stopping at the Findlay market. Thus I was already walking around with a cup of coffee in my hand. But when I saw the Vespacar there was just no other choice. I went through the line with my Collective cup for yet another cup of coffee and proceeded to walk around with two cups of coffee in my hands. (I've done this before.) It was actually a macchiato. A traditional macchiato, espresso with a dot of milk rather than a mini cappuccino. It may have tasted slightly burnt, I think. But who cares? It came from a Vespacar. A bit about Urbana Cafe. The owner is Daniel Noguera who grew up in Venezuela. He was there by the Vespacar making espresso drinks and appeared to be a nice genuine guy. They have a blend of coffee he made that they use for all the espresso. And you can hire them to make coffee at an event. A bit more about the Vespacar. It's actually a Vespa Ape. But it is a Vespacar because it says Vespacar on the front. Daniel used to not like Vespacars when he was a kid. Later he went to Italy and fell in love with Vespacars. So finally he found a Vespacar for sale and bought the Vespacar and turned the Vespacar into an espresso bar. They named this Vespacar, Lucia. I just used the word Vespacar 18 times in one review. This super cute coffee cart is right at the entrance of Findlay Market! It's a little bit of a wait be sure is because all the espresso is brewed when ordered but it's not too bad - especially when you're in a fun, bustling place. Drinks are comparable to your regular coffee joints so not super cheap but do-able. (macchiatos are about $3, cortados are a little more and iced lattes start at $4.50) Unlike some places, when you order a macchiato they make it the right way! Strong, delicious espresso with a bit of cream and foam. No extras! This is definitely the go-to coffee cart for purists. read more

Great tasting coffee! I am a cold coffee addict and when I heard about the Caffe Shakerato I knew I had to try it. It is an espresso shaken in a cocktail shaker with ice and mint which makes it cold and adds a nice hint of mint. It is amazingly good! Strong rich coffee flavor and the bit of mint is a wonderful compliment. It was so good that after I tried it the first time I had to return the next weekend to Findlay Market to enjoy it again. They also have nitro coffee as far as cold coffee goes and that is also really good. If you catch them at Findlay Market you might be able to get an affogato as well, which is an espresso poured over gelato. Their menu includes all the standard espresso based drinks such as cappuccinos and lattes. The owner is really nice and knowledgeable and a fun guy to talk to. I learned about coffee, the nitro process, and Italy all from talking to him. An enjoyable conversation over delicious coffee. I will definitely be returning many more times! read more

Awh! I love this little truck so much! I am not much of a hot coffee drinker, mainly because everywhere prior to this place my coffee is always way too hot and then you have to wait for it to cool and then it's too cold! With Urbana you get the perfect Goldie Locks cup of coffee! Urbana is, by far, my favorite go-to for a delicious coffee treat in the Greater Cincinnati area. Not only is the quality of their coffee drinks outstanding, the prices are exceptional. My friends/family and I love to visit them on the weekends at Findlay Market. The two gentleman who always serve us are kind and passionate about their business. I was prepared to be super impressed with Urbana but found the service to be a bit unapproachable. While I enjoyed a decent cup of coffee I felt rushed by the barista. I know coffee fairly well. I enjoy a perfectly crafted cup of coffee or espresso, but when in the company of coffee lovers I expect a little more of an interaction than a quick exchange of money for a cup of coffee. Urbana Cafe is a unique food truck. With their own coffee blend, the taste is unlike any other, well balanced. Last time I stopped by, they were serving a special drink called shakerato (shock-eh-RAH-toe). It's an Italian version of iced coffee... Delicious! and perfect for the summer.
