We stopped by this time to check out one of their restaurants, DC Cafe. We were greeted by Nelson, who was doing double duty as both cashier and host--always appreciated when employees step up to help where needed. Our server, Shane, was also great! He took care of all my requests and remained fast, friendly, and efficient throughout our visit. The food was pretty good. The clam chowder was thick, just the way I prefer it, and the sliders and fried chicken were good as well. They got busy quickly, and it was nice to see two of their managers on the floor helping out--Nate, whom I spoke with briefly, and Nelson. I would recommend DC Cafe--lots of menu options to choose from, and the prices were reasonable.

I eat too much here, by the looks of all my pics. But the food is great coffee shop food and today did not disappoint with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, and vegetables. I do like the service here and all of tje staff are friendly. Great coffee shop feel.

We had heard that the "Diner" inside the Tamarack was pretty good, so we wanted to give it a try. I would day that the food on our visit was "okay". A highlight of our visit was our waitress, Christina. Her brutal honesty and upbeat demeanor was a true treat. She gave us guidance on best plates with a refreshing sense of honesty that we loved. I had the Chicken Enchilada Plate. To be fair, I think it would have been better if it hadn't been sitting under the heating lamps for so long. That said the Enchilada's were "okay", nothing amazing but the green chile sauce was actually quite good. The Pinto beans were pretty good but the spanish rice was a bit over cooked from the heating lamps. My wife had the burger. I thought it was pretty good. The bun was tasty but not oversided. Just right. The patty was cooked and tasty. The burger was served with fries that were absolutely delicious. For simple diner food, that is close by, the DC Cafe is a decent option. We'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.

Located in the Tamarack Junction casino, this cafe is a busy diner attracting a faithful crowd of locals. Service team from host to waitstaff are all friendly which gives this diner a very relaxed feel. Clean, not smoke filled, with a no-frills home cooked meal. The burger was good and just the way you would make it at home.

I came here with my grandparents for a nice dinner after a Long day. The atmosphere was very cozy, but it also had a strange "tearing wall" decoration design that, while I'm sure tickles some people's fancy, does look rather off to me. Our waitress was good. She was knowledgeable about the menu, immediately gave recommendations on the day's special, and was patient and helpful! I ordered simple tonight, just chicken tenders and fries. The fries were crunchy, well seasoned, and very tasty! The tenders were delicious, very crunchy, and nice and warm! Very delicious! Overall, this was a very pleasant experience. I don't often enjoy casino diners as, well, I have to go through the casino first, but this one was quite nice! Definitely recommend this place, especially to people who don't mind going through the casino first!

Back in 2021 when the DC Cafe at the Tamarack Casino first opened, I gave them a bad, one star review. Now in November 2024, I have to say the place has improved considerably. I live about 5 minutes away from the Tamarack, so I go there often. My favorite side of the DC Cafe is the Sport's Bar. It is cozy, it has plenty of large screen TVs and offers great customer service. The menu has been expanded with many great food choices at very reasonable prices. If you like domestic beers and wine like I do, you can find them here for $4, $5 dollars. I highly recommend the place for a good meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and/or sports watching.

Very good food and great menu.. the price is good here.. these fish tacos were tasty and most of the menu is as well.

Great as always.. Quick and friendly service.. Great food for a great price.. I love coming in for breakfast or lunch on the weekends. It can get busy and can have a little wait but it's never really bad..

Sometimes you just want to stay in your neighborhood and go to your neighborhood Casino. That is Tamarack for us and we are so fortunate to have it so close to home. We love to sit at the tables next to the bar. The booths are huge and cozy. We can also order food from the DC Cafe, while we watch sports on the various TV monitors. The food here is pretty good for the price. Today I had the Chicken Parmesan for 12.99. The menu has a good variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

The DC Cafe in the Tamarack Junction Casino in South Reno is a wonderful restaurant for its delicious food and great prices. Thank you to Blake our Outstanding Server. Your wonderful personality and great serving skills made it a fabulous dining experience for myself and my Mom. I also met a nice girl just sitting across from us. We are now friends. We both thought Blake's service was off the chart excellent. I bet people meet each other often at this friendly Cafe. Julie A

Working up in Truckee, I am always interacting with a lot of international students. There was a group of girls from malaysia in town, and I brought them to Reno for a casino/an expensive meal. I love DC café because they have a lot of $6.99 and $7.99 specials. And quite a few dinners under $10. We arrived near closing, however they have a policy of seating up to the last minute lol. We took two of the half booth half tables and I ordered my usual Cadillac margarita. Matt was our waiter. He's always an awesome guy. What we ordered: Cadillac margarita 4x pork medallions with mashed potatoes and vegetables Grilled salmon Tried to order chili Verde but they were out of it Chicken enchiladas Chicken burrito Chicken fried steak and eggs over easy The food arrived promptly. The girls enjoyed the dinner so much, there was not a crumb or speck of food left on the plates lol. They have been in the US for about two months and mostly been eating as cheap as possible, which is difficult to do in Truckee. so they really enjoyed a home-cooked meal even if it was American style. Really enjoyed the meal. The service was great. The prices are great. We will definitely be back.

It's been a long time eating breakfast here.. Not too many customers, so service should be good... Wrong.. it's been almost 30 min.. and still waiting for my California omelette and the hubby's All American... Finally arrived, and thinking it would be hot, my omelette was warm..and the same for the All American.. Unfortunately, I asked for an egg white omelette- and it was uncooked.. so I had to send it back-.. I guess, probably best to eat lunch or dinner..

Our server was friendly and attentive. To drink we had a Hofbraü beer and a glass of bubbles. They both were excellent and exactly as we expected. At the end of the meal I had a white chocolate espresso martini. I was disappointed with the martini. This tasted flavorless like water and lacked any essence of espresso martini. To eat we did the cheese plate. We added beer cheese to our order for the pretzel. Holy cow! This cheese board was so large, not to mention delicious! The cheeses and meats were diverse and flavorful. The plate also came with artichoke hearts and pickles which provided a refreshing acidity to the plate. The pretzel was warm, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and lightly salted. I am very picky about pretzels (to the point where I don't eat them) and this was my favorite! This was the most delicious pretzel I have ever ate. The cheese plate also came with a delicious stone ground mustard, what seemed to be a lingonberry jam, and the beer cheese we added. The lingonberry jam which was out of this world and the beer cheese was complex and flavorful. I have my eye on a couple of the pizzas so I definitely will be back soon for another meal (and pretzel).

Props to Burger Me for being one of the only smash burger locations in Reno to be open on a Monday during lunch hours! With that being said, the menu options are focused on burgers, with really one option for smash burgers. I asked for what meat options could be made into a smashburger, and was told beef only. I was craving a western style smashburger and as-is, the one option didn't fit the bill. I asked to substitute or pay for onion rings on the burger in place of carmelized onions, and my brain didn't comprehend that I could order onion rings on the side and put them on myself. I was offered to have fried onions substituted and I said yes. There's several sauce options and I chose the bbq sauce, naturally. I also ordered garlic fries on the side. The burger itself is two beef patties that are each smashed, place on top of each other. I think each one has cheese on top, but I was too hungry to look for that before diving in. There's enough pickles to be in every bite, and it was glorious. The patty itself was seasoned, but I could only taste the seasoning in certain parts. I could still taste the seasoning with and without the bbq sauce, and it was yummy. Bbq sauce tasted like bbq sauce, it fit the bill 100%. If you're looking for a normal sized smash burger, ask for only one patty. I couldn't finish the whole burger and I can normally eat a whole smash burger to myself. My food was served probably in 15 mins. I also came in before a bigger lunch crowd so that probably helped. As for the atmosphere, I really appreciate the booths and tables. There's also arcade games near the back, with a clear glass so you can keep eyes on little ones while in the main restaurant. The bathroom was clean, although I wish there was a hook for my purse in the bathroom. It looks like there used to be one, but it got removed or broke off.

Everything I've ever had here has been excellent, but the bison burger was easily one of the best burgers ever! The onion rings are perfect every time. They are light and crispy and the ranch is so good! I tried the white truffle burger and loved it! It was borderline too much truffle for me, but that's just a personal thing. As with anything, I strongly encourage everyone to try it for themselves. And the Bella stack from a separate visit easily moved to my top favorite. I almost didn't get it because I thought I would miss the flavor of the burger patty with onions and cheese, nope! I didn't miss it at all! The Bella stack has one of the thickest portobello mushrooms I've ever seen in my life. It is marinated in this beautiful balsamic reduction (that was almost too much on that to by the way, but if anything just order some on the side) It was a flavor that stayed with me for awhile after lunch and it was delightful. Also, I'm a big fan of pesto, which is another reason I had to try the Bella stack. One of the sandwiches I can't wait to try next is the big dippa (similar to a French dip). The staff are nice, the service is quick and everything seems to be clean and organized. They also have some great adult beverage options. I'm currently in love with their unsweetened tropical passion tea for a non-alcoholic choice. Many thanks and great job Burger Me crew!

Hello, I'm reaching…read moreout regarding an extremely disappointing experience my wife and I had at Texas Roadhouse tonight. When we arrived, the restaurant was packed and we waited about an hour for a table. I want to be very clear: the hour wait is not my complaint. We could see that the restaurant was busy, we chose to wait, and we completely understood. Unfortunately, once we were seated, the experience continued to go downhill. We waited quite a while just to get our drinks, and when it was time to order, I ordered the 23 oz. porterhouse medium. When our meals finally arrived, my steak wasn't slightly overcooked--it was burned and well past well-done. I got our waitress's attention, and she took it back to have it corrected. I then waited approximately 30 more minutes for another steak. During that time, my wife's meal sat in front of her getting cold because she was trying to wait so we could actually have dinner together. When my replacement steak finally arrived, it was rare. At that point, I had received the same steak ordered medium twice--first severely overcooked and then severely undercooked. What was particularly frustrating was the manager's response. I was told that they "don't cut this cut in-house." I honestly don't understand what that had to do with the problem. I wasn't complaining about how the steak was cut. I was complaining because a steakhouse had been unable to cook a steak to medium after two attempts. After everything that had already happened, I asked about receiving a discount. We then waited approximately another 30 minutes for someone to come back and address that. Our check was around $90, and ultimately only $20 was taken off. I understand restaurants get busy. I understand kitchens get backed up. I also understand that mistakes happen. Had my steak come out incorrectly once and been promptly corrected, I probably wouldn't be writing this. But this was mistake after mistake, followed by waiting after waiting. By the end of the evening, my wife had a cold dinner, I never received the properly cooked porterhouse I ordered, and we still paid approximately $70. For a restaurant whose specialty is steak, I expected much better--not necessarily perfection, but certainly better handling of the situation when things went wrong. I'm asking Texas Roadhouse to review what happened and determine whether the way this was handled meets the level of service you expect your guests to receive. Thank you for taking the time to read about our experience. I would appreciate hearing from someone regarding this.

Our server was a trainee and we saw a more experienced server helping her with other tables but not ours. I'm not sure why. To give you the high points: We waited almost an hour, and a conversation with the manager at minute 45, to receive our food. We were starving. When it arrived it had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for a very long time, bread was hard, fries were cold and chewy. Staff avoided us like the plague after they dropped our plates because I'm guessing they knew what had gone down. When they dropped our plates we reminded them about sauces we requested and didn't receive and 20 minutes later the server came to let us know "that ranch will be out in just a moment." I told her we weren't happy. The food wasn't good and I said (nicely) "I want you to know that avoiding the table when you know things aren't going well makes it worse." And she looked me in the eye, said "I'm not avoiding you" and then just walked away. We never saw her again. We never got ranch we paid extra for. We never got soda refills. We negotiated a solution with the manager. He said he'd refire our food. We declined for all but two items. Our morale was sinking and we just wanted to go to the arcade. When we declined new food, they took our old food to the trash. We got something to eat when we got home. All told we talked to him 3 times during our visit and the help he gave and understanding he extended was weak at best. A member of our party who is a restaurant manager was appalled at his customer service. They ended up comping two items, taking our total check for 6 adults down to $200. My daughter reached out to corporate after and they have offered her $25 worth of game chips as an apology. It was a miserable experience and a very sad end to a year of having fun at Dave & Busters.
