We had never been to a Texas Roadhouse before and had heard many things about the rolls - so off we went. Service was incredibly friendly and fast. We started with the rolls of course and then got a cactus bloom for an appetizer. Very greasy but tasty! Entrees were mid but came out fast and with friendly service. Not our sort of place but definitely worth going for the tasty rolls :-) that cinnamon butter is divine! Ambiance is loud and crazy but to be expected. Lots of birthdays being celebrated while we were there - lots of yee haw!

Still a great place to go to! Our server was super nice and helpful. And of course the bread and butter were still amazing...newly baked and soft! We went mid-afternoon on a weekday so it wasn't as crowded and we were seated quickly.

The wait line is an hour and a half and that's the line outside. It better be great

The food was darn good here and they give you lots of it but I'm afraid the weight was ridiculous so I don't know. Unless the weight is a lot shorter, I probably won't be back. Service was great. Once you got seated it's just getting that seat. That just is a little crazy hour and a half wait just can't do it. So good luck to get in because the food really is good and the service is great

Tip-a-Cop event that benefits the Special Olympics was a success. Free appetizer when we gladly made a donation to the Special Olympics. As usual, Lauren took really good care of us. One of the MOST (community outreach) officers named Brandon was on hand to help out. Sparks PD, Reno PD, NHP, and the Washoe County Sheriff's Office were all in attendance.

You know, I could try anyplace for steak. But why stray from perfection? Any town I'm in, I know I'll get a great meal consistently at a Texas Roadhouse. I like steak, they deliver a delicious filet every single time. They are quick with friendly service. I always feel welcome. Sure the ambiance is about as western as you can get and I always feel a bit out of place in my polo shirt and cargo pants work clothes - especially my flat cap. But staff treats me like I belong and I appreciate that. No dessert, wasn't super hungry. Great meal, great price and the wine was good

The restaurant has a Western themed atmosphere. Lauren, our server, was friendly and attentive. I changed it up and had a Chicken Ceasar salad. It was excellent. This is a great place for locals.

I remember when this Texas Roadhouse location opened. My family often went. However, since moving away from South Reno, I hadn't visited in years. Glad we stopped in! My family visited during Thanksgiving week for a very early dinner, 3 PM is when they open on weekdays. It was packed! Luckily, there was still no wait for a table, and we were seated and greeted right away. Texas Roadhouse knows how to keep its customers happy. Free bread and butter and a bag of complimentary peanuts at every table. Who can be mad about that? One perk of having the earliest dinner ever is that the roadhouse offers an early bird menu where many classic menu items are on discount. We ordered a kids' burger meal, the fried pickles, and two 6-oz. sirloin meals. The whole bill was only $50! The portions, like the restaurant, are huge! My house salad was almost big enough to be a dinner salad, and the fried pickles were plentiful and super crispy. Perfectly battered and served with awesome house-made ranch. The kids' burgers were a perfect portion for two light eaters to share. It's a small beef patty with cheese served on one of their freshly baked rolls, but you get two of them and a side of fries. Yum! The steaks were tender, but they were probably under 6oz. The weight is likely a pre-cooked weight. The sides were good, but nothing out of this world. The restaurant embodies what Americans think Texas is to a tee. Country music, western decor, and wooden everything. My experience here was great! Thanks, Texas Roadhouse!

9/24 This was a great night out with family . It was a packed hs but worth the wait . We waited about 30min I believe seemed to go pretty quick . Our server Gaby was awesome. Very attentive very fast to get us our food and drinks . Everyone enjoyed their food as well. I got the smoke hs burger and it was delicious and we also got the cactus blossom appetizer. Everything came out fresh and hot . Rolls of course were soooo good . Was a good night . Enjoy !!!!

First time at the Reno location on a Saturday night and wow was it packed. Makes sense since the service is amazing and the food portion is worth it. We even got can holders since it was our first time! My partner and I had the porter house T-Bone steak and it was cooked to a perfect medium. You can ask for the gravy and onions on the side (which we did) and definitely complemented the steak perfectly. It was definitely salty with all the additional sauces so pick and choose with that in mind. Along with the blooming onion, salad and corn sides, unlimited pandesal style bread, seasoned rice and margarita, we left waddling cause we were so full. Definitely will come again for another Reno steak trip

I am now a believer of the infamous Texas Roadhouse rolls...... omg so freakin good!! Nicoholaus our server was phenomenal given the amount of tables a nf the size of our party. We came just in time for the lunch special and boy did it not disappoint. For the price the amount of food was amazing and it was delicious. Overall I can see myself here many more times in the near future. The location and ambiance was perfect for shopping and a great meal after.

Texas Roadhouse is the prime example of how participating businesses should treat our Veterans on Veterans Day. They give out a Voucher for a free meal, but the extra touch is what stands out. The entrance was decorated with Red, White and Blue Fan Flags and Ballons and staff were at the entrance greeting Veterans and thanking them for their service, as they issued the Vouchers. They also had them sign some boards that they would be displaying. Texas Roadhouse is always my go-to for a Sirloin, but I love them even more knowing that they go all out for our Veterans!

Honestly, we came with a gift card and not the highest of expectations. But I can confidently and honestly say, this was quite an enjoyable meal. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive the entire time, and the place has some fun decor to look around it while you are waiting. Most chain restaurants in Reno just do not out out quality food, so I try to usually stick to local businesses and the Midtown area. My whole group was surprised. Nothing fried came out burnt, everything tasted totally fresh and the steaks were COMPLETELY ON POINT. Prime rib was decent for the price, $27 for 12oz is great, and my daughter got a sirloin which was just as tender as the prime rib. On the sides, also very well executed. The cactus blossom was not dripping with oil, the side of veggies was still nice and crisp, and the corn, NOT FROM A CAN! Winning... Good Job Texas Roadhouse, keep it up.

Steak and ribs, steak and shrimp, with the potato appetizers. Loaded with cheese and bacon, ask for more napkins!

That was fine so as soon as we turned around to sit in the lobby, the guy called us and said he happened to find a table for two. So we were sat immediately. This is the busiest I've ever seen this restaurant. Pretty much every table, and they have lots of tables, was full. Braden was our server and he was at our table within five minutes. Considering how busy the place was, that was awesome. He took our drink orders asked if we actually knew what we wanted to eat, which we didn't, and so he went to get our drinks while we looked at the menu. What we ordered: 25 ounce Cadillac margarita Frolic in the sand Shots of tequila (Herradura) 20 ounce prime rib, medium rare Lobster tail Jacketed baked potato Sautéed mushrooms The food arrived quickly. The prime rib was perfect. Lobster, mushrooms. Everything was just so darn good. The star of the show was the server Braden. He was friendly and a little entertaining. Even though the place was super busy, he took the time to talk with us and make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our evening. I will definitely ask for him next time we come in here as he was that good. When the food and drinks are consistent, sometimes the only difference of a good visit versus an average visit is the server. He was perfect. Still some of the best prices in town for a steak/prime rib. Comfortable. Nice atmosphere. We will definitely come back again and again. Ruby River Steakhouse - Reno…read more The staff was genuinely friendly and doing their best, but it was very clear they were severely understaffed. Nearly every other table was covered with dirty dishes, and behind the bar there were multiple tubs of dishes and trash visible on the floor. The bartender was very nice, but he was also acting as the manager for the night, which meant he was constantly being pulled away. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for it. The calamari was burned on the outside, mushy on the inside, and lacked flavor. The steak and avocado egg rolls were just okay--the filling was fine, but the sauce was overly salty. We also ordered the artichoke dip, which came with plenty of garlic bread, though it felt hastily thrown together. I ordered a prime rib around 7:00 p.m. and was told they were already out, which was surprising for a steakhouse at that hour. The final straw was the restroom. It smelled strongly like sewer, the toilet wouldn't flush because the lever didn't work, and the floor was filthy. It was honestly pretty disgusting. This place used to be a regular stop for me when visiting Reno, so it's really disappointing to see how far it's declined. I hope management can get staffing, cleanliness, and food quality back to where they used to be.

Not sure who the haters are but maybe they lost money in the casino. In the many time I have eaten there, it's always been good to great, and last night was GREAT! My buddy Mike and I make this a mandatory stop when he comes into town, so thanks, buddy, because I was gleefully pleased (and stuffed) when we finally waddled out after a truly enjoyable 2 1/2 hours. The Food: The bread basket and 2 types of butter is always a great way to start and the selection is tasty. Just have to be careful not to overindulge and ruin what follows. The pacing at Charlie's is welcome as they are not trying to turn tables quickly and allow you to enjoy each offering. Mike had the Cobb salad which is always a treat. Next up came the unexpected little mini short rib pies in a delectable crust. Three bites of pure heaven! We could have eaten 12 each and called it a night. A wonderful pallet cleanser of liquid sorbet followed as a prequel to our mains. Mike had the bone in pork chop which he gave a 9/10 to and I had the 6oz duck breast special over succotash cooked to a perfect medium. YUMMMMM!!! Some of the best succotash I've had and the duck was perfect. I ordered two sides, the roasted carrots and the baby summer squash, which again, were perfectly cooked and delicious. Now borderline too full for dessert, a glance at the menu and we couldn't resist. Sorbet for Mike and the deconstructed chocolate banana cream pie for me. I couldn't help myself and devoured the whole thing! We polished off a beautiful Willamette Valley Pinot and sat back and relaxed. The Ambience: For a casino steak house i think it shines pretty well. Fairly light and modern, and classy but not over the top. The spacing of the tables is excellent, so you are not abused by other people's conversations. A wonderful place for a date, I suppose. The Service: OK, this is where the 5 star rating really takes place. Being a great server I feel has become a lost art. Probably the main reason Mike and I make this a regular stop isn't the excellent food, but the friendship we have created with Donovan! He shines at his craft on a higher level than any restaurant I have visited. He's funny, concise, informative, etc.... Pure precision and perfection from start to finish. I'm honored to be able to consider him a friend, and it brings the dining experience to the uppermost level! Thanks Buddy. Probably a good idea to ask for his section when you dine there and you will understand. As always, will look forward to my next visit to Charlie's in a month or so. Cheers, JimG

I got mine with caramelized onions, baked potato, and fresh veggies. We both got it medium rare. She got hers topped with Point Reyes Blue Cheese crumbles. Her daughter got Filet of Petrale Sole Meuniere. First came a basket of bread. But, two of us are gluten-free. The Waiter made a point to check with the kitchen on all our meals. The steak came out smelling like garlic. It looked so much better than the picture I posted. It was so tender it cut with a butter knife. The color of the steak inside was perfect medium rare. The flavor on the taste buds is what dreams are made of. Some meals we remember for a lifetime. Because every bite is just that scrumptious. I can still almost taste it by just thinking about it. For dessert, we got the classic Bananas Foster, which is made tableside. It is dinner and a show. Bananas Foster is such a decadent treat. The show begins with the melting of the butter, and the aroma will still your breath away. Then add in the brown and white sugars. Several alcohols are used. I believe they use Banana liquor as well as rum. Then a fire is lit in the pan. It sparks when the cinnamon is added. Then the bananas are cooked ever so lightly. Sometimes, too much liqueur is added, and the flavor is off. However, on this night, it was spot on. The sugars and liqueur create a caramel sauce for the bananas, and vanilla ice cream is added. The ice cream that was used tasted like a French Vanilla ice cream with little flecks of vanilla. Each bite was a walk on a cloud. My friends had never had Bananas Foster before. I think they will be back if only for the Bananas Foster. The bananas and caramel with a kiss a vanilla ice cream just send your taste buds to heaven. Each bite will have you desiring more, even if you are beyond full. Each bite is so divine. It tastes so decadent that your mind will be blown that it is bananas and vanilla ice cream. I can't remember the name of our waiter. He was such a delight and made sure we had a great time. This was a meal I will remember for a long time. Thank you to the staff at Duke's Steakhouse. The eating area is very spacious and commodious. Though this place has a casual vibe, the presentation of the food is totally fine-dining material. Each dish, especially the Citrus glazed salmon, is served as a piece of art. I've been here around three times before I installed yelp, and am excited to finally leave a review. The short rib, was absolutely amazing. The short rib was so tender, and each brussels sprout was a literal flavor bomb. The brussels sprouts I've had at other places have flavor only on the exterior, whereas the brussels sprouts here play a different game. The short rib is served in a really big portion. Though it may look dark from the photos, there are actually three big pieces. I loved loved loved the sauce; there's a sweet tangy taste to it, though it reminded me a lot of BBQ sauce. This short rib was a win. Chefs kiss. The truffle lasagna was terrific; so much sauce in between the lasagna layers. I could absolutely make out the truffle flavor in this dish. However, I recommend eating this dish quickly, as the lasagna stiffens really quickly. Thirty minutes after it was served, I went it to take another bite, and it wasn't as good anymore. The ceasar salad +beef is a great choice for a light but filling meal when you're currently on a healthy diet. Each dish here comes in giant portions, but even after you finish this salad, it won't feel too heavy on your body. I think it's because Washoe is really light on the dressing levels; perfecting the amount so it doesn't overtake the fresh flavor of the greens or leave the salad bland and insipid. However, the beef was a bit too well done and on the firmer side. The first time coming here, I was totally shocked to find out that the food they served did not match the relaxed and informal vibe the setting sets up. Not a bad thing at all. Creates a laid-back vibe while still getting high quality food.

Our most recent visit was dinner to celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary. It still maintains it's casual atmosphere. The entrance has shifted to the Ridge Street side of the building. A good decision. It always felt a bit cramped to check in in the bar area especially when they are busy. Dining area is now mostly in the back room. While the setting is casual, the food is upscale - including the burgers. They offer game meats, elk, kangaroo, venison, and wild boar, in addition to high end beef and a small selection of seafood. They also have a few vegetarian/vegan options. I had the Citrus Glazed Salmon with root vegetables and squash. It was very good. The salmon was fresh and and flaky and perfectly cooked. My husband had the Rock Candy Short Rib. He deemed it "acceptable" Mine was paired with a light dry Savengon Blanc. Service was good and our satisfaction was checked. I debated between a 4 or 5 star experience - I decided on 5 mostly due to the quality of the meal. Return visit? Yes.

Chateaubriand- 11/10 YOU MUST GET THIS!!!! Incredible portion (it's for two people but we each had plenty of leftovers) it was sliced table side and came with wonderful side dish of choosing (I got a baked potato but loved the wild rice my daughter got) Thank you Cheyanne for helping us celebrate our college graduate! We also had her as a waitress when we came for his 21st birthday a few months ago and she was incredible then too. She truly deserves lots of praise! I will recommend this place to everyone!!!

Went to the steakhouse to celebrate my mother in law getting the news from her doctor that she is cancer free. Let's start with our greeting when we arrived. Gary, the new manager greeted us warmly like he knew us forever. We had never met him before. We were seated by a very friendly hostess and our server was to our table almost immediately. Here is my review. Food was amazing again, service very good but the new management made us feel welcome and like we actually wanted to come back again. We will definitely be back again and again.
