Fried egg, cheese, bacon and toast
    Andrea B.

Decided to give this restaurant a second chance but this experience was just the same as the last time. At 11am, I called 5 times, there took their phone line down, so I walked over to place a to go order. I stood there, made eye contacted with the waitresses who completely ignored me. Finally someone came to the counter and I asked if I could place my to go order i which she took. Scrambled egg sandwich with ham and smothers hash browns with cheese, onions, peppers and mushrooms... all came out to $20. By the time I got home with my food, it was disappointing. They gave us fried egg and bacon. And no mushrooms. Can't call them, because their phones are off the hook. This restaurant has totally got to crap!!!

Amazing breakfast, great prices and incredible customer service. Food was delicious, really enjoyed the home style potatoes. Coffee was really good and orange juice also.

Juicy cheeseburger and crispy onion rings. Side of bbq and mayo

Consistently great food and service. They purchased a dilapidated building and turned it into a fixture in Ocala. Keep up the great work!

We had been wanting to try this place since moving here. It's less than a mile from our house, and…read morethe Google photos made it look incredible. Smoothies, açaí bowls, premade meals, the whole package. I walked in with expectations, which was my first mistake. The ordering area is extremely small. There's barely enough space to stand, let alone browse or get oriented. Instead of overhead menus, you're expected to quickly flip through laminated menus kept in bins, mark your order on a sheet with a marker, and hand it to the cashier. There are no visible menus for the premade meals at all. The setup feels rushed and unintuitive, especially for first-time customers. There is virtually no seating. The few available seats were occupied by employees during our visit, which made the space feel even less welcoming. Another customer walked in while we were there and appeared just as confused about how to order, and unfortunately didn't receive much guidance. Functionality-wise, I'd rate the experience a 2/10. The space is overwhelming, poorly laid out, and not customer-friendly unless you already know the system. The food itself was good. The açaí bowl was a 7/10, but because ordering felt stressful, I didn't customize it and ordered it as-is, which I now regret. This café seems best suited for people who already frequent the gym next door and are familiar with the process. For anyone new, busy, or just stopping in casually, it's not an easy or comfortable experience. I truly wanted to love this place, and there's potential here, but the layout, lack of clear menus, and overall flow work against it.

The coffee is great and they have non dairy friendly options. The smoothie bowls are delicious and you can get really any combination you're looking for. Being attached to a fitness facility, they also have supplements, shirts, healthy meal prep, smoothies, etc. The staff/owners are wonderful. Not a great place to sit and work just as a heads up. There aren't really any outlets and only a few tables, but that's fine! Don't think thats the crowd they're catering to anyway. I will definitely stop by when I'm here visiting family or for work.

I…read morehope the cafe takes this feedback to heart because this area really needs a great restaurant and coffee shop, and this spot has so much potential. The location is beautiful--right on the water--with a cozy, inviting interior that makes you want to stay a while. I've been here before, and my first visit left a better impression. The coffee was great that time, and I was excited to return. Unfortunately, my second visit didn't live up to the first. We ordered three coffees: the Snickerdoodle, Honey Bee, and Bean Redeem. All of them were overwhelmingly milk-forward with very little actual coffee flavor. The Snickerdoodle, which was supposed to have cinnamon notes, tasted mostly like vanilla and caramel. The Honey Bee didn't taste quite right, and the Bean Redeem lacked the white chocolate and toffee flavors advertised--it just came across as more vanilla. As for the food, we tried a variety: the biscuits and gravy, Sunrise Supreme, the Classic, and the Reg. Sadly, nothing stood out. The Reg and Classic were okay but lacked seasoning or anything memorable. The biscuits and gravy reminded us of the older McDonald's version--definitely not homemade. The Sunrise Supreme came on mini biscuits that were dry, and the sandwiches overall were just average. A recurring issue we noticed was that a lot of the items seemed prepackaged. The baked goods in the case looked like they came from Sam's Club. If the coffee had been excellent, we could have overlooked that--but with both the drinks and food falling flat, it's hard to justify a return visit right now. That said, I really want to see this place thrive. There's a great opportunity here to make it special: seasonal menus, house-made syrups, stronger flavor profiles in the coffee, and maybe even partnerships with local roasters and bakers. Showcasing fresh, local ingredients and dialing in the coffee recipes could turn this into a true gem. I'll be keeping an eye on this spot and genuinely hope to update this review in the future with a better experience.

The strawberries were smush. And the omelette was not that great. I'm letting yall know from all the guests opinions. Unfortunately the place falls short. I askef if we could get seated outdoors since it wad cold inside and we got sat immediately. Our server was somewhat attentive (asked if we're ready to order, waited a couple more minutes for us to finish deciding). One of the menu items she said something wrong which was fine, i'm glad she tried to ensure I don't get an ingredient that I didn't want on a separate item. The foodrunner was absolutely great! Her attentiveness and overall attitude were great! I wish i got her name so i could give her props on here! The server checked up on us right after the food got to our table and we told her of some things we asked the runner for, but after that did not check on if we got it, how the food was, or if we wanted anything else. She passed by later and dropped the receipt with no explanation or reassurance like a "does everything look good on the receipt?" Or a "if everything looks good you can head up to the front and pay" (we did not know we need to pay up front so we stayed at the table waiting for her to get the card which she didnt check on or point out after 10-15 minutes of us sitting doing nothing). The food was delicious in my opinion. I got the 2 for you with the monterey club and the chicken avocado chop with a pueple haze (i unfortunately did not get a picture of them) but they were good quantity and quality for the price. The price of both is almost the same as if you bought any of them individually (they serve half the portion of each for the 2 for you) but i personally like the variety and trying both items. The salad only had two slices of avocado though which was slightly disappointing but it all tasted delicious. I think it's the best food i had in first watch ever!

The café offers a variety of lunch options, including quiche, soup, chicken salad, and deli sandwiches. My review, however, is based solely on Betty Cakes' cakes, as I've only stopped in for takeout desserts and haven't yet had the opportunity to sit down and enjoy lunch and cake at the café. Over the years, I've tried several of their specialty cake flavors, including Easter Dirt, Strawberry Shortcake, and Guava, as well as their Bundt cakes such as Sour Cream Pound, German Chocolate Rum, Hummingbird, and Pumpkin. Every one of them has been delicious. What I appreciate most is that these cakes don't just taste wonderful--they look special. Each slice appears to have been made with care and attention to detail. They're the kind of desserts that make you feel like you're treating yourself to something truly special, as if that slice of cake was made just for you. The cakes are consistently moist, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether it's a seasonal specialty cake or one of their Bundt cakes during the holidays, I've found myself returning again and again. In fact, I've made it a tradition to stop by for their specialty and holiday cakes throughout the year. There are plenty of places to buy dessert, but Betty Cakes creates cakes that are both tasty and memorable. The quality, presentation, and homemade touch keep me coming back. That's why I continue to be a loyal returning customer. If you're looking for a dessert that looks as good as it tastes, Betty Cakes Cafe is definitely worth a visit.
