Solid spot for a father's day breakfast during our trip to Florida in 2026. Came on a Sunday and thankfully and they were slammed but somehow we got seated right away for our party of 8. Coffee was solid, orange juice tasted fantastic, water tasted clean and not like tap water and meal was superb. They have a wide variety of options on their menu choices so it's great for a family and large party. I opted for a custom breakfast with a blueberry pancake, two eggs, tomatoes, and also had a chance to enjoy their eggs Benedict which was superb also. Service was great and our waiter nailed it despite being very busy and servicing several tables. We went to Keke's Ocala for Brunch the other day, it had not been my first time there. It's quick and convenient, the service is decent and omelettes are pretty good. I really enjoy creating my own. You can add a choice of cheese and 3 ingredients for $16.99 after that it will be extra but the omelettes are pretty good. I usually get onion, spinach, mushrooms,with turkey sausage or chicken breast and sometimes I will sub with egg whites. My friend enjoyed the Banana caramel pecan stuffed french toast it looked ok to me. I wouldn't put it at the top of my list, there's something missing and I think it's that feeling of a down home cooked meal or that very special recipe that isn't there. You can get a meal that's decent, the place is clean and you do not have to wait if you have kids, appointments, or a busy day ahead. Breakfast is served all day and lunch after 10:30. Took my wife here last Sunday after an outing in Silver Springs. This was our first time at this location, but have been to others throughout Florida a few times. We arrived around 11:30 and waited about 15-20 minutes for a table. Our server, greeted us promptly and gave us a few minutes to figure out our order. The order came out in reasonable time and the staff offered my wife multiple refills on coffee, but sadly no one offered me a soda refill. I was provided a to go drink before leaving. Her potatoes were not fully cooked, but the rest was pretty good. As always, they had a 10% military discount, which was great. Recommend you stop by! read more

There was no wait at a Sunday at 10am, which should have been a clue. But, the waitress was ok, came to the table promptly. The food came out at an adequate time. But, all the food was cold, I mean cold. The oatmeal, to the eggs and waffles, everything. We were going to tell but then we didn't want to wait another 20 min. for the food. But, this may be the reason there was no wait on a Sunday morning. Also, we were give no napkins, when we asked an employee for some, I think he was stoned, because he looked at us like we were crazy and it took him about 10 min to bring us some. We came back two days in a row because of Ms. Nancy R! As soon as she came to our table, she was warm, attentive, and truly genuine. She didn't just give us the best service ever, she made us feel welcomed and valued. After our visit yesterday, we were so impressed that we brought the whole family back today just to have her as our server again (and because the littles wanted to give her stickers and we love the food)! Food. Was great as usual. we ordered breakfast. Grandmas scrambled eggs were running. Service needs help. Food was delivered but bacon came 5 mins later. Mom's waffle was raw. My food was good. Ma.s food came 1 piece at a time. Eggs, then bacon, then waffle. We had remind them they for got wifes bacon. Server seemed ditzy and forgetful. Did not get asked for refills. Service used to be good a year ago. Place was empty for a Friday at 1pm. They do close at 3. My omelette for awesome. The only reason we come here is for the great food. Even if the service is bad. Ambiance was adequate but kinds tired. Food was expensive. Yes everything is expensive nowadays but if you want to charge a premium price you should get a very good food. First she brings jellies grape and mixed fruit. I ask for jam. They have none. Hello you are a breakfast restaurant only having jelly or in my opinion colored sugar is not acceptable. Food was warm not hot. Omelet sausage and cheese with hashbrowns added had almost no sausage. The little bit that was in the omelet was sliced paper thin. Now for service. We waited 30 minutes to be seated which was fine. The workers were friendly but distracted. Our food was served warm not hot. Grits were congealed and lumpy. I went to Keke's on a Saturday morning. We were a group of 9 and a baby. We were seated within 10 minutes. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. He did a great job with all our orders. Other staff members were playing with the baby and making him laugh and smile. During our breakfast various staff members checked with us to see if we needed anything or for coffee refills. The portions were big, the food was hot, and delicious. We will definitely return form another visit! read more

First experience at Keke's. We came with 4 kids under 6. 1. Spacious environment, large tables for families. 2. Kid friendly. Bathrooms were clean, smelled nice. And the toilets/ sinks were low. Any child over 4 can use the restroom on their own with minimal help and supervision. We love a kid friendly bathroom!! 3. The staff were friendly. It took about 30 minutes for our food to come out, but we had a party of 8. 4. Wait time was about 35 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was relatively empty so I'm assuming it was a staffing issue. Overall the food tasted good. Just as you'd expect from a breakfast dining experience. Beware! Been to this place more than a few times and I just noticed this during our last visit. Served was nice. We were seated, given menus and asked if we wanted drinks. My kiddo ordered an orange juice. No size was mentioned nor were we asked what size my kiddo wanted. Server brought a very large glass of OJ - obnoxious for a child really in my opinion. Anyway, I asked the server if they had a smaller size because this was too large and there would be so much wasted. Although she tried to pull it off, she looked like deer in the headlights where she was called out. She quickly said, oh, we have a small size but we automatically give customers the large cup because you'd take two sips from the small cup and it would be gone. I told her that this size was far too large and the choice should not be made for customers as they charge far more for a large than a small. I looked around and sure enough, everyone had the large cup. It looked like it was about an 18-20 oz glass. I feel like this business is trying to be sneaky and get the customer to pay more on the down low which is just not okay. So ask questions and make sure this business or their servers don't pull a fast one on you. Food is decent. Service is standard. It's Ocala so it's not spectacular. But, we will now consider other options since this incident. We want to relax and enjoy dining out instead of feeling like we need to be on guard even if it's small things like this. Great menu on the menu but the food isn't great. The waitress seemed bored, ask for ice tea with lemon, had to ask times for lemon. When serving the food, she says who gets, I responded you are the waitress. The Italian chicken sandwich was mediocre, the fries were tasty. Came to Kekes with some family of mine for brunch. I decided to get the chocolate chip pancake combo with home fries and scrambled eggs. I added cheddar cheese on top of my home fries and they were very generous with the cheese. I also ordered hot tea and they brought the full box of tea for me to choose from. Unfortunately, the food took about 45 minutes to come out but the portions were very generous. The food was not super hot but the taste was really good and the service was great! Went to Keke's for a second time even though the first was not good.....first time breakfast now this time lunch. Upon entry, had to wait for a table to be cleared even though there were many already empty...whatever. I ordered chicken strips and fries and my husband cheesesteak panini. Omg, worst chicken strips I've ever had. They were probably a Tyson knockoff, breading wasn't even hot, tough and tasteless. The panini was horrid. I simply don't know how they stay in business. Seriously, the only good food on our plates was the ketchup. And btw, our original visit for breakfast was awful as well, just wanted to give Keke's a second chance. Once upon a time, it seemed that greasy spoon diners or luncheonettes were pretty much the only option if you wanted to go grab breakfast. Now with places like Keke's Breakfast Cafe and First Watch, you have better options if you are seeking to eat out for the first meal of the day (and what I was told since grade school was the most important meal of the day). Keke's Breakfast Cafe is a hometown creation, having started here in Orlando, Florida back in 2006 by brothers Keith and Kevin Mahen. Back then it had the more straightforward name of the Florida Waffle Shop. This location was on Conroy Road and when the brothers started eying the horizon of expansion, they went with the name Keke's (which was a combination of both of their names) both because the name was perceived as more catchy and also because they could not obtain a trademark for the business name Florida Waffle Shop. From that humble beginning of one location, Keke's has grown to over forty locations here in Florida. The reason they have not expanded beyond the Sunshine State yet is that they have not saturated the market yet. The menu at Keke's Breakfast Cafe is filled with the usual breakfast favorites like waffles, omelets,eggs benedict and more. They also have a lunch menu, but I have only tried their breakfast offerings. All in all, my breakfast here was an overall winner. The food was very good, the ambiance was a great alternative to the standard greasy spoon breakfast joint with cheap chairs and chipped tables and my server was friendly, attentive and professional. In those circumstances, actions by management - not just lip service - is expected. "I'm sorry" and a shrug does not cut it. This visit to Keke's will be our last. We arrived just before noon and told the wait would be 20 minutes. Nearly 45 minutes later we were seated. No explanation, just "sorry about the wait." We got our drink orders in and order taken quickly. Then the waiting continued. A burger, a wrap, an omelette and a waffle. Nothing complex, nothing tricky. The only deviation was a request for no whipped cream on the waffle. Forty-five minutes later our food finally arrived. Guess what? There was whipped cream on the waffle. It was sent back and by the time it came back, everyone else was finished eating. The quickest thing brought to our table was the bill. Very disappointed. read more

My husband and I were going off of the good things friends had said about this place. The prices were high and our food was cold. I had to send my eggs benedict back. The food took over an hour to get. My husband got their buffalo chicken with fries, which was also cold. He also couldn't finish his meal because of the frozen food like texture of the chicken. The food was good and our waitress Brandy W was awesome! I wanted to share some feedback about the host stand that I hope is helpful. It seems the team may benefit from some additional customer service training. When guests arrive, the hosts ask for a name, but it appears they may not always be hearing or entering it correctly. For example, I gave my name as Christine, but they called out Carissa instead--so I kept waiting, not realizing I'd already been called. I also overheard another guest named Angela being called as Angie. In addition, the hosts don't seem to be tracking the order in which guests arrive, which has led to people being seated out of order. A bit more attentiveness during check-in and name confirmation would go a long way in improving the experience. read more

We were to the Keke's in Ocala, when the door opened so it wasn't busy at all. The server was probably one of the most unprofessional that we have ever had. Very hurried and unfriendly. She wasn't that busy but it seemed like she really didn't want to bother with us. Our breakfast was served after a short time, but instead of sitting things down she mostly shoved it on the table, tossing the butter rather than placing it. For the cooking of our breakfast, my pancakes were very nice and tasty, but the syrup tasted the same as other inexpensive places that come out of a 5 gallon can, so I only had one bite with it. My wife had Eggs Your Way, with 3 scrambled eggs that were brown on the bottom which she didn't eat. Potatoes were ok but too many skins. Toast was quite good. Bacon was nice but was overpriced. Server came back only once to replenish our coffee, and again, some for the cups, some for the table. At check out I asked the cashier if Keke's had Military discount and she conferred with our server. She said she would have to get it approved by the manager, so was gone for 5 or more minutes and then said she would apply the discount to my pancakes and a coffee (I guess she assumed I was the one in the military). We are normally 20% tippers, but for the first time in my life I just couldn't justify rewarding her for such bad service. It was a very disappointing breakfast with the highlights being the coffee and the pancakes. It's not likely we will be returning to Keke's again, at least not as long as that server would be there. read more

I ordered the raspberry stuffed French toast. The food came out hot and tasty with no complaints from us. We will definitely This is for during the Covid-19 crisis. Today I met a former student for breakfast. This young man is going through a difficult time. We sat at the table for more than an hour and the manager gently reminded us that others were waiting.
