Dirty, Dirty, Dirty! I walked in and instantly noticed the dirty floors. I was seated promptly at a Dirty table. Then I was presented a Dirty falling apart menu. Gross! The service was good and the food was good and reasonably priced. This is the only reason why I gave them two stars instead of one. But let's face it! No matter how good the food taste, who wants to eat on a dirty table, on a dirty floor with a dirty menu? I don't and won't be back. I pass by this place all the time when I'm in the villages, yesterday was my first time coming in. The environment is very nice and inviting, it's super cold inside so bring a jacket or a blanket. I didn't know that you have to sign in with your name and how many people are in your party. There's not a lot of seating so space is limited. It took about 20 minutes before we got our seat. The menu sounds really good. The portions are huge, and pretty price for the food. I was surprised. I ordered the cherry pancakes because it said it came with a cherry glaze so I thought it would be like a powdered sugar and milk glaze no the fake cherries and jam you buy in a can. I wasn't a fan of the cherries but the pancakes were actually very delicious I enjoyed the regular pancakes. The potatoes were not crispy and flavorless, I wasn't the biggest fan of the eggs. My boyfriend enjoyed his gravy and biscuits a lot I tried it and I thought it was a little undercooked but he liked it a lot. The coffee was good nice service. For this food we sort $39 before tip, and I was waiting for like 15 minutes before I realized you have to take your receipt to the cashier however I didn't get a recipe so I just walked up there and my waitress lost out receipt. We have a tradition that every year when we are in The Villages, we must go to Billy's. This year was a big disappointment! The service was slow. The omlette was overcooked as were the potatoes. The sausage had a lot of grizzle and the corned beef was fatty. As for the ambiance, it is the same as always and nothing unexpected. read more

What no one told me. When you enter there is a clipboard that you write your name on a waiting list. It was pretty busy but they move quickly so the wait wasn't too bad. Service was fast, efficient, and friendly. The food was hot and very nice portions. This is definitely a go to breakfast place. read more

This place is just your standard, charming cafe/diner. It gets really busy in the morning, but dies down pretty quickly. Our server was very friendly and welcoming. I got several things to try because I just couldn't decide on one thing to get! I got coffee, which came very steadily, banana pecan pancakes, a French roll up, and a biscuit. The pancakes weren't too sweet and the bananas on top were super fresh. The biscuit was perfectly moist and salty, which offset the sweetness of the pancakes well, and the French roll up was very light and delicious. Ordered the vegetarian omelette and breakfast potatoes. They give so much food! (It was huge!) I was a little disappointed with the amount of mushrooms in the omelette (i would order without mushrooms next time). Pay attention to the total of your bill...you could be in for a shock!!! This cafe is not the cleanness place to eat. The speed of service is mediocre, even though they try to rush the patrons through. The quality of the food is okay, but not what I would consider very good...just okay! Finally, pay very close attention to the total of your bill. The cashier attempted to tack on an enormous tip which in some cases might have slipped by for some customers. I shouldn't even give a star. We were discriminated at this place more than once. I thought that people were more educated about accepting other races besides "white". The first time, the host asked the waiter if we had left a tip in front of us. We always leave at least a 20% tip everywhere we eat. Billy's is a great diner type place amidst a sea of corporate chain restaurants. The Veggie omlette is a 5. Service has been excellent. I initially avoided it, mistakenly thinking it was a seedy bar, sure am glad I decided to try it. Don't go by their online prices. Burgers advertising at $8.00 on their online menu. Same ones I ordered. That I wouldn't be complaining so much. I'd say eh ok. But 12.00 is what they charged. I expected a larger portion but when we were served I was disappointed. 2 Burgers, mayo and mustard in little packets. Nothing special. 2 small plates of fries and 2 small cups of Pepsi. Mabye 4 oz after mostly ice. I Think they charged for a couple refills they gave to my son, not sure. Charged almost 7 for drinks but not itemized on receipt. Had to ask what the 7 was for. Came to $35.00, tipped 5, the waitress was nice. 4*'s for waitress. Not satisfied dropping 40 dollars on that. Not on 8 dollar burgers. Mabye breakfast is better. Probably won't be back. read more

This REALLY is a hole in the wall joint. I've only had breakfast (they do lunch) but I am a repeat customer. Recommend that you get there before 8:30 because it really DOES get packed! Service is good the food comes out hot and fast. Portions are very generous for the greasy spoon food (this is not a bad thing). Only thing I'm not wild about is their coffee. Billy's Cafe is a small, no-frills type diner that has developed a pretty loyal following and deservedly so. The food is good (both in taste and portion size) and the prices are reasonable and competitive to other restaurants. The omelets are a good choice for breakfast. The client that I met here (one of their loyal following) assured me that you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. By the way, he went with the pancakes. Service was good and we never felt rushed. All in all, this was a good experience. I will give it four stars and I woukd definitely recommend a visit here. read more

Every time I visit my folks we go out for breakfast once a week. When my dad asks where I want to go, I always say "Billy's!" The portions are large, the food is good, the price is reasonable, and the service is usually fast. I've only had breakfast here. Today we showed up at 9am on a Sunday with a minimal wait. The food took a little longer than normal, but I understand it's hard to find employees nowadays. Our waitress was hysterically funny, we laughed all the way home about her jokes with a deadpan face. It's a diner and looks like it inside. There are some holiday decorations up now, but the decor is very cute inside-they have wooden slabs with sayings painted on them. Right now their white board said they don't have daily specials, and I've noticed they don't butter the toast or add much sodium to their eggs or potatoes if you try to eliminate those things from your diet. This is a great place for breakfast! The portions are a great size and the food is greasy, the two greatest combos ever invented. I have been dying to eat here. This place is constantly packed and it's almost impossible to get in if you don't come before 9. Today we finally got in, and I was not impressed. We ordered hash with eggs, mushroom and cheese omelet and the blueberry pancake. The hash came with a mountain of potatoes that looked like russet potatoes when you boil them for too long and they almost turn into mash potatoes... they had no flavor and were yellow from all of the fake butter they squirted into them to try to get them to fry and crisper up ( photo attached) The hash was similar in texture to cat food and the eggs were definitely the liquid kind that come in a carton.... The blue berry pancake was a regular pancake topped with canned blueberries. Not to mention it was hard to cut into. Then there was my omelet... the eggs were the liquid kind, stuffed with cheese and fake mushrooms... the potatoes were the same bland mountain of mush that cake with the hash. Yeah, this place is cheap, but it's because they cut a ton of corners... canned this, canned that, bland this, no seasoning that... there is no love in this food. We went to Blly's today. The omelets are great and the pancakes too. I can no longer eat their potatoes because the last two times , they gave me the runs and I was sick until I took medicine. Really bad too! I think they use the same oil when cooking. We did not pay attention to what we order today and the bill for two came to 39.00 and with a tip 48.00 for breakfast. This is outrageous and I made the mistake because we ordered too much. Never again if I can help it. When we make a mistake like this , we will not go back for a month. We use to go every week. Came in on Saturday morning for breakfast, was busy but our wait was no more than 15 minutes. We were greeted warmly, table was clean, water and coffee arrived promptly. I kept seeing plates of breakfast foods going by with large portions and what looked like fresh from scratch food. My cohorts ordered breakfast while I ordered the Billys salad. Their breakfasts were well prepared with very generous servings. My salad was fresh and tasty, the chicken slices could have been larger, and more tasty, but overall a good salad. It's a good old fashioned Dinner. The food is good and plenty. My favorite place in The Villages area for breakfast. The food is always warm when served, cooked as I requested it, and good portions. I also like the $$, you get something for your buck. Generally speaking the waiters/waitresses are attentive to the customer.
