A solid breakfast diner, we stop in from time to time. Not stellar but good enough. An interesting collection of servers.

Basic, serviceable diner. Ordinary breakfasts - nothing special, nothing memorable. Only patronize if in a pinch or if on the go.

I went for lunch and sat at the counter. I asked for a diet pepsi with lemon. Diet pepsi arrived no lemon. took 3 minutes to tell the situation another 5 to get the lemon. I ordered the Sante Fe wrap. Menu said a chicken breast -The wrap came with small diced pieces of chicken. for me, it was spicy. I asked for sour cream to tone it down. Again another 5 minute wait. It came in two sections. I did not touch the second wrap. The first wrap was covered with sour cream. I had eaten about half. When I told the chef I didn't like it. He said they had to charge for the meal because I had eaten half. Summary, poor service by waitress, poor description of item on menu. poor customer service. $20. for a meal I didn't like. I was too tired to fight it. I won't go again. I have also told my friends not to go. read more

My go to place for great breakfast & lunch. Best Philly Cheesesteak around. Just added Eggs Benedict with a couple of options to the menu.

Great food and the service was excellent. I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and country green beans. My wife had Honey Chicken with cucumber and tomato salad and green beans. As I said the food was delicious. Reminds me of home cooking. They have a special for every evening. We will go back on a Wednesday to taste the Pot Roast and on a Friday to try the Fried Chicken. read more

Have been to most of the locations around The Villages, all are great! Best price for a good breakfast around the area. Reminds me of the small hometown dinners back north. Would love some of those old favorites on the menu too. Ham & Beans, with Fried Potatoes & Cornbread or Beef & Noodles, Liver & Onions, Goulash, Pork Tenderloin Sandwich. Service is great the two waitresses are wonderfule but walked in to get two club sandwiches asked that they be toasted because the previous 3 or 4 times not toasted well here we go, all i could smell was burning toast for 30 min finally said just make them so 40 min later walked out with no toasted clubs, never will walk in their again. I love this place - I know it's not for everyone but my husband and me LOVE a typical divey old school diner. The staff here is wonderful and the food is good. My favorite is the eggs with corn beefed hash. I usually get it with hash browns, which are nice and crispy. My husband loves 2 eggs over medium with 2 sausages (their sausage links are yummy). Their regular and decaf coffees are both good - not too strong, not too weak. I also enjoy that they decorate for the holidays - right now it's all decked out for Halloween - fun! The not that great - I don't know what they add to their omelets but they're SUPER fluffy (maybe pancake batter?). I like my omelet flat, so I just go for the eggs and sides. If you like a fluffy omelet then you'll like theirs. You get free coffee refills and they take payment at the table (you don't have to walk up to a register to pay like some diners). We hit this place up for late breakfast on Saturdays usually. If you go after 12, it's not too crowded. You pick where you want to sit. They're open until 3pm and they offer lunch items also. The staff are excellent, they welcome all who enter. They make a point of checking in on you to see that you are happy with your food. The food is really good with way more than you can eat. I am a Breakfast FREAK! This is Darrell's Diner, the newest location. They make the absolute best scrambled eggs on the planet and the best home fries ever! Everything on the menu is fresh and made to order! The restaurant is CLEAN! The service staff is VERY FRIENDLY! The location is a little tricky to find at first BUT a little hint is when heading north on 301 fromthe light at Rainey Trail and 301 it will be on your RIGHT side or EAST side of the highway before the storage unit place. Two strip plazas across from each other with gray buildings. There's a day care center there as well as a few builders' offices. read more

We have driven past this place a number of times. This is was our first visit. It was great. Our breakfasts arrived quickly. And they were made perfectly. Our server was friendly and effective. It was a pleasure to have a meal here and the price was about right. It's not fancy. It looks like an old 7-11 which has been converted. We shall return. read more

Stopped here for breakfast with my wife and walked in to find no wait and a few tables open. Got the menus from a server and ordered quickly. I had a half order of biscuits and gravy with had a one biscuit and sausage gravy over. Plenty to cover eating right to the end. And I ordered eggs, potatoes and a pancake to go with. It was just a better deal to order the two items instead of the biscuits and eggs together because I got the potatoes and pancake included for the same price. Except the American fries that were served were cold. I told our server, and she took the plate and brought back the same plate with American fries that were deep fried to make them hot, but were overcooked. Beware of the potatoes and take hash browns instead. read more

We've eaten lunch twice at this diner and the lunches have always been great. I have a hard time classifying it as a greasy spoon diner, because that term prompts a visual of a run down place that has sub par sanitary practices. I love greasy spoons like this because it is clean and organized. So it doesn't fit the negative profile and is well Worth the visit. Cost: Not expensive and for the amount of food you receive and its quality, it's well worth it. Staff Waitresses are Always attentive and conduct multiple check ins. Always great. Cleanliness Despite being busy most of the days, it's always been clean every time. Quality: Usually great. For lunch it's always been great. The one and only time we visit for breakfast we experienced less than great quality. My omelet was not fully cooked. I asked my waitress to ask the cooks to cook it some more. She took it back and we heard her inform the cook(s) that the egg wasn't fully cooked and then she walked back out onto the floor. The cooks then chatted loudly and then laughed. I've worded in the food industry in the past and when food comes back and then there's laughter, it' doesn't mean positive results. My eggs came back and were still partially uncooked. Everything else was good. My spouse had pancakes and they were raw in the middle. I would definitely recommend this location for lunch. Always great. Not expensive. Fills you up. For breakfast we will revisit again in hopes for a better experience. I will update/dit this review once that occurs. read more

Had been wanting to try breakfast here, as I've driven by it lots of times and there seems to be steady business there. It is seat yourself, which isn't displayed anywhere. As a first timer, we were not sure what to do because no one really acknowledged us upon entering. It was pretty full, but once we were seated, the service was pretty good and the food came relatively quickly. They are short staffed and looking to hire, but the staff they do have did a pretty good job. We had eggs, bacon, toast and hash brown. It was good, nothing extraordinary, but I would consider going again. read more
