Following an early morning appointment for lab work, my wife and I decided to head out to Belleview to try Mary's Place. We've been meaning to stop by for a while but couldn't justify the relatively longer drive. This morning, we decided to stop by on our way to our obligatory monthly COSTCO run in The Villages. Located in what looked like a motel that's seen better days, we walked into a clean albeit cozy interior. We were instructed to sit wherever and we sat in a booth. Presented with the menu, we both ordered coffee. My wife then ordered their Biscuit and Gravy ($6.99 if paid in cash) and I ordered their Bacon and Cheese Omelet with onions ($9.99 cash), home fries and wheat toast. My wife liked her breakfast. The gravy was nice and peppery and the biscuit seemed fresh and held up to the gravy. My omelet was also good. I preferred my home fries crispier though. Service was on point as we never saw the bottom of our coffee cup with servers attentively refilling our cups! You could tell there are many regulars who patronize this place that's been in operation for over 25 years. It seemed like the servers knew a lot of the diners...and that's a good thing. Good food, great value and friendly, attentive service. Breakfast for 2 with tip came out to $30 paid in cash since paying with a credit card incurs additional charge. read more

I just ordered an English muffin dark and 2 eggs over easy. I asked for poached but the waitress said they didn't make them so over easy was okay but I think they tried to make poached because I did get watered egg whites. lol oh well, I ate it . But my friend's French toast looked delicious and she loved it. If you want a low budget meal and weak coffee that's exactly what you'll get at Mary's. I was out early and wanted a real breakfast. Not Pinterest breakfast. Not $19 avocado toast. Actual diner-style, American, eggs-on-a-plate breakfast. Mary's Place gave me exactly that. I'm giving them 5 stars because they nailed the three things that matter: food, service, price. My omelette came out hot and full. My hashbrowns were extra fried and crispy, almost burnt, which is exactly how I like them. Most places are scared to cook them like that. They weren't. English muffin was extra toasted, also exactly how I like it, and they brought it with butter and peanut butter like I asked. Service was fantastic. Friendly, fast, and they actually listened. It's not a fancy spot. It looks like you're eating at grandma's house. That's fine. I'm not taking off stars for decor when the food is right, the bill makes sense, and the people are nice. I do not recommend going here unless you have time and money to waste. $9 for 4 small chunks of potato and half an omelet is not worth it at all. The service is slow. The waiters leave and don't come back. We were there for 2 and a half hours and didn't get our food til an hour and a half later. For a small cafe built onto a motel, you should be so much better. Sweet little place. There is a small dining area, often quite crowded, and food is very good. We liked it a lot and recommend it.

Mary's is a quaint little breakfast/lunch joint where everybody knows everyone in town, and the southern hospitality is alive and well. Dining here is like being a guest in someone's home. I never saw the bottom of my coffee mug and anything asked for was delivered promptly. Breakfast hit the spot! The biscuits and gravy half order at $3.50 was a couple of fresh homemade biscuits lavishly covered with a scrumptious sausage gravy and in generous portions! Me and my boyfriend are driving from Orlando and are on our way to Ocala. We saw this place and decided to stop for lunch. I got the Cuban sandwich and it was absolutely amazing. Melt in your mouth delicious. My boyfriend got the Cuban Tripleta and he said it was really good too but said mine was really really good. In fact I've driven by it for 5 years without knowing it was there. But thanks to other Yelpies I hunted it down, determined to get my grub on. Upon entering you see a small, basic Diner not much to look at but the smell of bacon has a way of making everything pretty. I will mention this, they have a wall with flyers and ads for all of the local Belleview small businesses which is a big thumbs up. The service was excellent as I was wanting for nothing. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, the pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and home fries. We did a table share so we could try a bit of everything. They are known for their biscuits and gravy and there is a good reason for it. I they were a delicious piece of heaven. Everything was yum yum but I have to give a special shout out to the scrambled eggs. Yes, I said scrambled eggs. Normally not the star of the plate these were a standout.
