Food was good; service not so good. I saw others being attended to, but our table was ignored after receiving our order, therefore no coffee refills or extra napkins. Our waitress was attentive to other tables , therefore it was an "us" problem! Welcome to Citrus Hill, Y'all!

The service was exceptional. The food great. Would highly recommend coming in for breakfast. Even though there were a bunch of cars in the parking lot, there was no wait time to be seated. Great ambiance and very personable staff. Great selection for both breakfast and lunch.

Went with a group for lunch. The drive was 45-60 minutes. Spoiler alert ... it was well worth it. We had close to 30 people in our group. They had been told in advance and were ready for us. Upon arrival we were seated promptly and our orders were taken. The food was served reasonably fast and hot. Some of the portions were huge. One person had a breakfast with pancakes. The pancakes were as big as the plate. I had country fried steak that came with a pork gravy, green beans, mashed potatoes, and garlic bread. Let's just say that the leftovers will be my supper tonight. Everyone was pleased and went home with a full stomach...and many with doggie bags. Delicious food, great service, and nice atmosphere. They will definitely see me again

Generous portions, perfectly seasoned food--better than expected for the price. Friendly, attentive service. Chill, laid-back vibe. Highly recommend!

Reds is only 1.5 miles from me. Sometimes I go down and get an order to go while I eat there. It is for my wife. They have great hot beef sandwiches with French fries and graveyard. So while I am eating, I ordered something to go for my wife. You all cannot finish their meals and have to a doggie basket to go. Just look at the picture to see evidence.

My plate of Country Fried Steak! Yum!!

Great home-made food. Big portions. I had the Country Fried Steak dinner with home fries and coleslaw. The Country Fried Steak is freshly hand-battered and HUGE. The home fries are a good as my grandma's. They are open for breakfast and lunch, closing at 2:00pm. Get there early. Very busy on Saturdays and Sundays.

I've been there several times and I think its hit or miss. Maybe it depends on the cook, but the service seems to be the same.

Fried chicken was really tasty with a perfect crunch and juicy chicken. The fried catfish was breaded with cornmeal, perfectly crispy, also well seasoned and very moist and tender inside. The tartar sauce was homemade and very good but they also have a good peppered vinegar. Between us all we had an opportunity to try a lot of sides. Hush puppies which one of our hush puppy lovers said was the best she ever had (I'm not a fan of these overall so I can't really say). The potato salad was very good, creamy, with just a hint of onion and relish. Baked potatoes and sweet potatoes were enjoyed by all. Loved the crispy okra and green beans. Collard greens were also good. Of course, we couldn't leave without trying the pies. Caramel apple walnut was a little too nutty for me but it was still good. They key lime was my personal fave -- the crust was a good crumbly graham cracker that was definitely home made. We also had a lemon meringue and the chocolate coconut cream pie, which was essentially a half and half with chocolate cream and the bottom and coconut cream on the top. Both had beautiful, moist meringues with nicely toasted tops. On top of good food, we had a great waitress who was super attentive and very patient and friendly. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and looking for some nostalgic, good southern comfort food.

Our waitress was very attentive and made sure that we had what we needed; she even made us to-go drinks for the road! I had the taco salad which was Huge in a big taco shell - you could also have it served as a traditional salad if you prefer. I asked what the protein was and I was told ground beef, but she could see if they could make it as a chicken taco salad instead. I asked her to surprise me, and she brought out one made with chunks of seasoned chicken, lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream chopped inions and salsa which was very tasty. My friend had a tuna melt, which is her favorite meal for lunch and a side of onion rings. The sandwich came out nicely toasted with melted cheese and a thick layer of tuna salad. The onion rings were beautifully fried with real onion rings inside a crispy brown coating; she usually shares the onion rings with me but she must have been so hungry and they were so tasty, that she ate them all by herself! We then had to decide from a long list of desserts, including, pies, muffins and cakes. We split a slice of coconut meringue pie, which was quite heavenly! We come through this area quite a bit, so we will definitely return.

Grannie's is a cute little diner with simple décor and classic comfort food. Nothing fancy, just the kind of place that feels welcoming the second you walk in. Our waitress, Trish, was an absolute pistol -- quick-witted with a slightly sarcastic edge, and I loved every minute of it. We had great banter back and forth, and she made the whole experience even more fun. There were four of us in our group. The ladies both went with the vegetable soup and agreed it was tasty, though a bit heavy on the tomato flavor. One had a grilled cheese, the other a BLT, and both were happy with their sandwiches. Me and the other guy ordered the Monster Melt -- think patty melt vibes with a cooked-to-order burger patty, melted cheese, and diced onions. I had mine on rye bread, while my buddy went with a bun. We both agreed the burger meat was good quality and cooked just right. He paired his with crinkle-cut fries, and I went with fried okra because, well... when in the South, eat like a Southerner. After lunch, we shared a slice of homemade carrot cake. My wife thought it was a bit too sweet, but I say there's no such thing as too much money, too much fun, or too sweet of dessert. If you find yourself in Crystal River, do yourself a favor and stop by Grannie's. Ask for Trish, come hungry, and be prepared for some solid comfort food and a little entertainment along the way.
