I don't know where to start..This place Scrambles Cafe is the very best breakfast place we've ever been to.. the service was excellent right from the beginning getting greeted by the Manager Bob, who is a sweet, humble guy and funny. Our waitress Laura was very good, fun too and an excellent waitress.. there is plenty to choose from on the menu and the food was very very good, and great prices.. it's not a big place but it has a BIG HEART!!! Go here for breakfast or lunch, as they are only open til 2pm I promise you will not be disappointed. We are going back very soon!!!!!! Food is always good. employees are nice. The problem is whenever you place a to go order, they say it'll be ready at, let's say 11 AM. You get there at 11 AM and literally wait 30 to 45 minutes. Every time. Just be honest and tell me when it's gonna be ready. read more

After an early doctors appointment, we decided to eat at Scrambles Cafe off of Mericamp on Ocala's southeast side (where we rarely dine). Shortly after 9 am, we were seated right away. I won't lie, first thing I saw was a fine layer of dust right at my eye level on the ledge along side the wall partition. Not what I expected to see, but... Our server, Brandie, was pretty busy, but she touched base a couple times letting us know she would be with us soon. She got our drinks quickly and circled back to get our orders shortly after. My partner got the fruit crepes (they ran out and waiting for more was part of the delay) and a blueberry muffin. She enjoyed the crepes and really loved the muffin, that our server said were made in-house. I had the scramble piled high: two eggs and sausage on an open faced biscuit, buried in sausage gravy. My side were the fried potatoes - hands down the BEST fried potatoes I've had in a very long time. Overall, a delicious breakfast. read more

Place was great. service was on point and pretty good. Food tasted good and tasted a little like home. Bacon was great. I had the blueberry french toast special and I was not happy with only getting 2 pieces of small toast sticks. When I hear french toast I assume 2 full size pieces. Not 1/3 of a piece of toast. so I got 2/3 a single piece of toast. The flavor was great and different. Wife approved pancakes. and she is a pancake snob as her mother is as well. I could not believe how busy it was at 9am on a weekday. Wednesday. It might have been the church event next door. But I will go back since I cant get to the breakfast station that is 35-40 mins of driving each way. Keke's is a little better but the price her was better. Keke's gives you larger portions. Nice little Diner. Came here for breakfast, we were seated right away upon entering however it did take awhile for our server to great us and take our drink order. Ordered the Breakfast Sampler and Set a Good "Eggsample" , once we placed our order food came out quickly and hot. Our orders were exactly what we ordered with nothing missing and nothing wrong. Wish I could rate this place better, but it 2nd time here and it fails to meet even all but the most minimal expectations, best think I can say is the coffee was decent. Haven't been here for a year. Used to be my go to for breakfast. Decided to go today and was surprised by the renovation and new management. Food was very good and the service was excellent. Actually other than the management and the new booths and menus it's still a pleasant experience for breakfast or brunch. Still has a couple of wait staff who as usual gave a friendly hello. This diner looks like the old diners from the movies. Plenty of tables with mismatched coffee mugs. I was seated in a back area against the wall and noticed they were setting up for a big party to come on. My waitress was very friendly and attentive. She made sure to get my order in before the large group. I ordered the skillet with ham, bacon, mushrooms and bell peppers. My food came out quickly and was hot. I was happy about the fast service because I had to head to a meeting. Honestly, I couldn't taste any of the toppings. The potatoes were well seasoned but the veggies and meat were non existent. The English muffin was a bit burned too. I wouldn't order the skillet again but I may stop in for breakfast the next time I'm in the area because it is located so close to my meeting. read more

Everything was great. The service was attentive. Sarah was the best. She made spot on suggestions. I enjoyed the homemade pancakes and biscuits, but way to much food to eat it all. It hard to describe our experience. Seated promptly. After that everything went down hill. Took 15 minutes before we were asked if we wanted anything to drink. 10 minutes later came our coffee and Ice Tea. At that time we placed our food order. I took over 50 minutes for our food to come out while other tables that came in after were served. We should have paid for our drinks and left. We felt like we were being ignored. I don't understand how this place has good reviews. I can't understand how. The food is not good and the service is even worse. The ambiance is good if you know the cranky waitress and then she'll be nice and give you at best D+ service. I guess if you're regulars you may get better food and service but I'd avoid it at all costs. The younger waitress for the people next to us seemed to be a lot nicer but unfortunately we didn't get her. The biscuits and gravy, dry as a bone and tasteless. Eggs, they couldn't cook any eggs right, so I can't judge them correctly. Coffee was watery. Overall not worth the hassle or terrible food. read more

Nice restaurant and the servers were very accommodating. They kept our coffees full and it was great coffee and fresh. The breakfast meats were delicious. We'll be back. I am a French toast fanatic/waffle fanatic. The French toast was tasteless to me. I did not detect vanilla or cinnamon in the custard. The homemade bread was the only redeeming factor. It provided the right texture. Also, my food was not hot. I am the queen of 2nd chances/redemption. Lol. So, we will be back and I hope to give this place a 5-star review next time. Although this place was bustling with activity and we had to get on a "waitlist", we only had to wait about 12-15 mins on a busy Saturday before Mother's Day (5/11/24). The whole team was amazing!
