I'm not sure why it took me so long to come back since my last visit in August 2022, but I'm glad I finally did! Stella's continues to impress with fresh ingredients and absolutely incredible bread. I wasn't sure since it being 2 years since I was here if they would have the breakfast I had last time. I was surprised they did have it so I ordered the Spanish Egg Breakfast, which came with arugula, chorizo, heirloom tomatoes, ciabatta toast, and a preserve. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the chorizo added a great smoky-spicy kick, and the heirloom tomatoes were sweet and juicy. The arugula balanced everything out with a slight peppery bite, and the ciabatta toast was just amazing--crispy on the outside, soft inside, and perfect with the preserve. I also had the Jamón Serrano Sandwich & split it with my bf. It was just as good as it sounds. The jamón serrano, manchego, and basil pesto were a perfect combination--savory, nutty, and herby--all sandwiched between that same incredible ciabatta. Every bite was fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service was friendly, though the wait was a little longer than expected. Still, the quality of the food made up for it. Another cute place that took us too long to check out. We were walking around for Art Walk and decided to stop in here for a glass of wine and to check what this place really is. It looks like a store from the outside but I did see someone sitting inside sipping wine so I was intrigued. As you walk in, there is a spacious seating area at the front of the store. Then it kind of transitions into a market store. There is a counter you order food at and pay for items. There is a small bar with seating next to that as well. We browsed the market items and picked up a couple of items. We went to the counter to pay and that is when I realized you can order food and drinks. If you order something that takes time to prepare, it is brought to you at a table. Since I ordered a glass of wine, I just waited there for it and went to sit. Hubs retrieved a beer from the fridge. The owner was the individual we interacted with and he was very pleasant. There was constant traffic the entire time we were there so I hope that means they will remain in business. The prices were not too crazy and it is a perfect place to have a drink and/ or gourmet snacks. I definitely want to return and try other items on the menu. read more

It's a cute place with great cookies and good coffee/tea. But the food left a lot to be desired. - chicken salad sandwich - bland and dry. Had to add our own mayo and salt/pepper - avocado toast - egg was good but avocado wasn't fresh avocado. I think it was from a package. Crab probably was from a can. - jamon - this was good but they made it as a panini and jamon isn't tasty when it's warm in my opinion. I came here before and had just their cookies and coffee which are pretty good. read more

One of the best places in Ocala for cheeseboards! Great wine selection and an ever better food menu. I've never been served the same cheeseboard twice and the Greek platter is amazing!! One item to note: the vibe is to linger over your food so this probably isn't the place to go if you're in a hurry. read more

Wow this pay try was absolutely delicious... planned a late brunch and Albert was so nice and accommodating to our party of 20. The charcuterie platters are so gorgeous, and the salmon salad was probably one of the best salads I've tried in a long time (the dressing is so flavorful and it complimented the fish perfectly). Stella's had a great Yelp rating so when errands took me close to their location I stopped by for lunch. I ordered a special-a focaccia bread with caprese and pesto sauce. It came open faced which made it very difficult to eat. The "sandwich " was just one piece of bread with one layer each of tomatoes, mozzarella and finally the pesto. That sandwich with a bottle of house labeled water was nearly $19! Horrible value. read more

What a hidden gem! When you first walk in, it appears to be a tasteful wine and kitchen shop. But in the back is a gorgeous homemade dessert display and counter where you can buy hot pressed sandwiches, salads and coffee. My fiancé has been all over the world and remarked that the vanilla latte he was served here was the best he's ever had. The sandwiches were so unique and delicious. Stella's is far and away my favorite spot to enjoy lunch in Ocala. Nestled among cute boutiques downtown, the quaint eatery and wine shop offers some of the best food and confections in the state. I love that they let me bring my dogs along to enjoy lunch or a drink either indoors or outdoors. There is limited seating, but it's usually not too busy. Stella's always seems to be just bustling enough. With 6-8 tables usually 2/3 full. I love the environment here. It has a very European feel to it. And dining here definitely brings out the epicurean in me. Stella's offers a small variety of hand crafted cocktails, along with beer, wine, champagne, Spritz and many other specialty soft drinks by the glass. I enjoy having a champagne split with my lunch. The flatbread pizzas here are excellent, cracker thin! They are crispy and flavorful. I particularly like the roasted veggie flatbread. They are easily splittable- especially if you plan to enjoy dessert (which you definitely should!) they also offer lots of fresh salads and sandwiches. All of which look amazing, though I typically stick to the flatbread. They also serve cheese & charcuterie plates. This is a really trendy thing to order at the moment, and their creations are definitely instagram worthy! The pastries are incredible. Amazing cheesecake, a creme brûlée cake that is to die for, delectable raspberry tart and decadent chocolate mousse are just some of the varieties that I've tried. You can't go wrong! The pastry chef here is world renowned! If you call ahead I highly recommend ordering a birthday or occasion cake from him. I ordered the vanilla creme brûlée cake with buttercream frosting. A stunning, delicious and moist creation! I have been looking forward to returning to Ocala, in part due to this astounding gem of a restaurant! Keep up the spectacular work, Stella's! Wowee! Found out about this place on Yelp. Have driven by it previously and it never really caught my eye. Love that an exquisite little food purveyor exists in downtown Ocala. It reminds me of Rosie's in New Canaan, CT, but they have many more food items for sale. It is also like something you'd find in Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket. You can get a variety of sandwiches and soups and salads to eat. All fresh, creative and inventive. AND the best part for me is that they have a wonderful HOMEMADE dessert selection...yum! This visit on Saturday came about from the fabulous review on Yelp and hunger pains. My friend and I were delighted by the old world cafe atmosphere just of the historic square in Ocala. We were even more pleased with the menu. My friend ordered a caprese smoked salmon open faced sandwich on pesto focaccia that came with a side salad. I ordered the Italian salami sandwich with fontina cheese, tangy olive salad and lemon vinaigrette on ciabatta roll. One quarter of the establishment was bottles of wine for sale. We could have chosen a bottle to have with our lunch but instead we both opted for water. A glass bottle of cold water was brought to our table before our food came out. Our food didn't take long to arrive and after we both tasted our respective dishes and tried a bite of each others. We both agreed we would have rated the cafe 10 stars if we could. We were so satisfied we had no room to sample any of the beautiful desserts. The cafe also has a European grocery area, a deli meat counter and an array of charming mercantile products for sale such as candles, expresso cups and decor items. We will be back soon! read more

Agreement was for the expecting daughter to surprise her parents with the gender reveal cake and celebration gathering. Not only was the arrangement not honored but the cake was not even close to what was ordered and paid for. They lied when it was picked up On top of that. Since when would it look like an Arbor Day. We drove over 11/2 hours for a cake that was horrible and this so-called bakery over charges besides. Congratulations you ruined our daughter's occasion. We will post photos of your mess! They Need to learn some Restaurant etiquette!!!! Went for breakfast this morning and have been and they are so pleasant, but ordered my egg dish over medium and they way overcooked it badly, when we went to pay the bill the gentleman said you must have not liked it because you did not eat it , told him that it was way over cooked , he said I'm sorry I thought you wanted it that way , but still charged me the full $16.00 on  that entree on a $50.00 bill , most would have taken that off the bill , but he did not even bat an eye over it , ( We will Never go Back ), and they also over sauce things. read more

While exploring downtown Ocala on a First Friday night, we stumbled upon a foodie heaven called Stella's. All I know is that this place does it RIGHT. From the European mocha made with house made chocolate, to the delicious in house made pastries, they hit it out of the park. I would recommend Stella's to anyone seeking refuge from the desolate wasteland of generic restaurants and coffee shops. The staff also goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy. Stopped in for dinner on a whim. I've been here for lunch in the past and it was very good but the dinner we had was one of the most delicious meals we've ever had in Ocala. The dinner special was a tender grilled skirt steak served with a stuffed yellow squash with a mushroom beurre blanc sauce - it was AMAZING! The chef was kind enough to substitute ahi tuna for me as I don't eat red meat and it was perfect. The wine pairings and desserts were also excellent. This restaurant is small and has a lot of items for sale, wine, imported foods, crystal glassware and gifts. The cuisine is Mediterranean. The waiter was Greek.
