The Allman Brothers Tribute Band was fabulous. If you didn't attend because of little drizzle you missed a great night. They really know how to select the bands. The place was rocking. Beautiful setting, very casual. We had a party of six for dinner on Friday night at 6:30. First of all the blueberry wine (dry) is pretty tasty; a bit of a surprise. We ordered a cheese and fruit plate for the table, wine flights, and full steak dinners. Tom and I split a 12 oz ribeye ($40) and ordered a soup (lobster bisque) and a salad. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare - char broiled perfectly. Served with a baked potato and veggies. We split a blueberry cobbler with ice cream for dessert. The $40.00 ribeye was NOT worth the price. Very thin and much fat. The rice that came with the shrimp skewers was horrible and the shrimp did not look like it was put on the barbecue. We arrived mid day on a Sunday. There were so few cars in the lot that I thought they might not be open. They were open but would not permit an animal on the premises (I've been called worse), but they wouldn't allow my miniature (50 lb) bernedoodle, Buddy in either. He's so well behaved and we were really looking forward to seeing this place and trying the blueberry wine! I guess when business is booming you can refuse whomever you want but I don't think businesses is booming here. This is a really cool winery that specializes in Blueberry based wines. The vibe here is really cool, especially the outdoor seating. They have a full menu of food. Beware if you sit outside, flies will be all over your food and will land in your wine. I don't think there is anything they can do about it being FL and all, but that was my only gripe. The wine is solid and the lady serving me was great. I also did a tour with the winemaker which only takes about 10-15 minutes. read more

Villagers - keep in mind this sweet little place is not even ten minutes away. We saved a little goat from the farm next door that got his head caught in the fence and couldn't get out when we drove down the driveway. They've got a nice inside bar and lovely outside setting with a koi pond with hungry fish (ask for treats inside). I came here with a group of twenty Seniors for a tour, lunch and a wine tasting. I was in touch with Erinn for several months making arrangements for our group. She was very helpful and put a lot of effort into making sure we had a great experience. The wine bar and inside seating area were an old barn with horse stalls, which was pointed out to us during the tour, and now has a beautiful ocean mural on its walls. We toured where the wine is fermented and heard some delightful history about the winery itself and facts about blueberry wine in particular. Lunch was chicken salad wraps, green salad, crudites, and a cheese plate with fruit. The food was very tasty. We had a flight of four wines from dry to sweet, which had something for everyone. The Winery has a special menu on Fridays Saturdays, featuring steaks, chicken, grilled shrimp and salmon. They also offer entertainment and bands. It's a great place to visit! read more

What a delight. The outside patio is a great retreat, set at a winery in natural surroundings. We had a great server who smiled and cared for our party of 6. Steak is the main menu item but you can get chicken or salmon. Meats are cooked at an open-air bbq pit. A cat was seen dashing around, no doubt getting a taste of steak now and then. Not being a wine drinker, I got a beer instead. It was cold and tasty. Our steaks were done just right. Salad portions were a little small. That's not a deal breaker. This place has SO much potential but there is a lot of room for improvement. My mother in law and I had driven 20 mins to come and check out this winery due to them making their speciality wines with blueberries. We came on a Thursday at 1pm. When we arrived, there was no one at the bar or entrance to greet us. We walked around the inside a little bit to scope out where we wanted to sit before venturing outside. Once we got to the patio, we saw there were two groups of 6 sitting at tables and they were also setting up for an event that was happening later that afternoon. A lady working there asked if we were there for the event and if not, we could sit wherever we wanted to. We sat at a dusty/dirty table at the back along the wall and then waited for over 10mins for the same lady to come bring menus to us. As we looked around, we noticed that the other two groups only had waters and no drinks yet. It didn't take long for us to realize that the same lady was the only one working the two groups, us as well as the inside bar. I get it, it was a week day in the middle of the afternoon, but why was there not more than 1 person staffed to work? After waiting around for a while, we ended up grabbing a menu from an empty table behind us. When the lady finally came to our table, she cleaned off our table with windex... not any disinfectant.... Which I found extremely odd. Granted, the tables were glass but still.... I've never been to a restaurant/bar/winery that did that. We ended up ordering 2 flights of their 4 sweet reds and a hummus plate. The hummus plate was okay- the pita bread was kind of tough and there wasn't enough things to dip with the amount of hummus given. The wines were good though. We would've considered ordering more or even buying a bottle but they were so slow, we didn't even want to bother waiting around for that. This place has so much potential but they were understaffed when we came. We were never checked on during our time there except when it came time for the bill, the wines were never explained to us and we weren't asked if there were any questions/things we wanted to know about the wines like a normal winery would do. There also wasn't any salesmanship to try to buy something if we liked it. I think this place could do a lot better if they make some changes in their business model. read more

We tried dinner here this past weekend, I had the "surf & turf" the food was cold and the shrimp were NOT grilled at all. They seemed to be boiled or maybe even microwaved. The veggies we sparse and the potatoes were definitely roasted a day or two prior. I never thought we would return here, but friends wanted to come for the steak dinner. It was a chilly evening so we sat inside where we could enjoy the music. I didn't get the wine as it's not my favorite. I ordered the surf and turf which is a beef medallion and a skewer of 4 grilled shrimp. My starter was the shrimp chowder, which was excellent. The soup was hot and full of flavor and loaded with ingredients. My entree arrived timely and looked good. The medallion was cooked medium as I requested and was good. The shrimp weren't hot, so weren't enjoyable, as were the mixed vegetables. It's so disappointing to have cold food served. The baked potato was very good. We came here for dinner for my mother in laws birthday as a party of 11 and to summarize, the food 4 out of 5 and the service was 2.5 out of 5. I ordered the chicken with baked potato and veggies and for my Appetizer the lobster bisque (you have a choice of soup or salad). The meals are $35 per person and includes bakes bread basket brought to the table, the soup or salad, and the entree. The chicken was marinated in a sweet and spicy sauce and I had 2 large peices. The chicken was flavorful. The veggies and potato were cooked through. They bring butter and sour cream to the table for your potato. The lobster bisque was probably my second favorite out of all the restaurants I've tried it. Again, food excellent. Service on the other hand, not so great. She never came around to refill anyone's drink. We saw her at the beginning of our meal and then waited and waited for her to come back so we could ask for the check. We came on a Saturday night so they had like music playing outside and we were in the screened porch spot so I'm not sure if she just forgot about us or what. On Saturday's they have a "steak" dinner for $32 but when we saw the portion sizes we opted out not to do it since so many of those reviews are bad as well. We actually couldn't even taste their juice on the outside patio with our small dog because they aren't pet friendly unlike every winery we have ever been to across the country. We had such a great first experience here today. There were two live performers and both were great, especially the kid who was performing in the afternoon, wow! The venue itself was beautiful inside and out. The huge outdoor seating area under the shade of oaks with a stage for performers was just so pleasant to take in and enjoy. We enjoyed a ribeye steak dinner and various wines while enjoying the vibe and just really loving life. Perfect place to a date night or a night out with some friends. We can't wait to come back as the weather will be getting a little less hit soon! Ps. I made a reservation for 6 people and arrived about 15 minutes early. We thought we would get a wine sampling at the bar. No bartender to be found. There were at least 6 people at bar waiting as well. The bartender (Kristin N.) when she showed up was not pleasant at all. She was actually rather rude. When we were seated at our table, we ordered 2 appetizers and after receiving our soup and salad we had to remind the waitress that we had ordered appetizers! The main course took a really long time to arrive. Our vegetables and potatoes were not hot. After getting a to go box, you would think that the waitress (Stephanie) would bring our checks, but we had to go find her for that. Two checks were wrong and sent back to be corrected and were wrong again. The waitress asked my friend if she was in a hurry. We were there for 2 hours. I actually went to the restroom to see if they were really busy outside, but they were not, and no one was sitting at the bar during our meal. We will not be going back to this winery! I will not be making a reservation and spend money in an establishment that makes me feel like an inconvenience. The automatic gratuity was included which means the waitress made out pretty well on our tab. The steak and fifty dollar bottle of wine certainly added to that. read more

This place is adorable! It is close to my folks place and we've been here many times, but I haven't reviewed it yet, I guess! The wine doesn't disappoint and they have appetizers and flatbreads available. There is a large outdoor covered area where they host events (today it was a baby shower). They also have music/bands that caters to the 55+ crowd. We got here at 3pm and the disco ball was lit up shortly after, very fun!!! It may be too warm to sit outside in the summer, but in December, it was perfect weather to sit outside and listen to disco with a wine and a snack. Whispering Oaks winery was our last stop last Saturday and didn't disappoint. Already had lunch so the focus on the atmosphere and their wine. The staff were busy and a bit stressed, yet very polite. The cha cha chocolate and the wildly mild wines, from the four tasters, were fantastic. I'm still not over the cha cha chocolate - well balanced, not too sweet and with a wonderful after taste! Overall, very good quality wines produced by this business! Oh, let me say that I watched the bar back washing the glasses thoroughly BY HAND, in addition to the soapy water dip and solid rinse. I have not seen that level of hygiene quality for a very long time.. it was so impressive that one can see all hanging glasses and glassware in use crystal clear and squeaky clean.. Didn't even think of a straw for my water glass - amazing job and so comforting! The outside patio was wonderful and had everything one can desire - cozy and clean settings, stage, brick oven, green plants everywhere and even a pond with this large orange fish in the middle. It is an area for predominantly elderly folks - don't expect lots of young folks or diversity around. The venue is simply fantastic and I'd recommend to visit for some nice wine, atmosphere and delicious fresh blueberry pick up! read more

We have dined at this place many times before. The last two times were just very disappointing! Perhaps we can blame "COVID", but the portions have been reduced from the "Surf & Turf" to a "Puddles & Pebbles". The prices increased from $27 to $32 and the portions are so small that one can see literally the economy's stress. Same dining experience, however our waitress last night apparently was not having a good evening. We asked for a bottle of the "Oak Barrel", and she said in a surprising manner that the "Oak Barrel" Is a very Expensive Bottle." I have never been told something like this by a waiter before. I challenge you to find the fillet steak; it was the size of a chicken nugget, and the Shrimp Skewer had four medium (or maybe small) size shrimps; pathetic; see pics! The entertainment was great. We decided to take a day trip to this winery from Tampa, which was over an hour drive. We were excited to enjoy music, lunch and wine. We researched before we got there if it was dog friendly. Many others had shared that they had an outdoor dog patio that was dog friendly. We also researched their website to confirm there were no restrictions, nothing related to dogs not permitted inside or OUTSIDE. Who doesn't allow dogs outside??? Once we got there, it looked awesome, husband was extra happy they even had EV chargers. I went to go inside and inquire how we access the outside patio as we brought our dog. At this time, I was informed that dogs weren't permitted outside. I shared that the website didn't reflect this nor did their social media, even stating others said it was dog-friendly and recently brought their dogs to the patio. She said "Oh, I thought they updated the website, they were supposed to." This was super disappointing especially since 99.9% of wineries allow dogs on their outside patios. Long drive for nothing....we found another winery that did permit dogs so all wasn't lost. Maybe this isn't a fair review, but if the website was updated, I wouldn't have had to do this. read more

Wine drinkers BEWARE!!!! A few things to remember before you visit this winery.......First and foremost make sure you try calling a few days ahead of time. But why you ask......wait for it.....wait for it...... Some days are different than others because even though seating is available you cannot be seated without reservations. You can't even get in the building without reservations. But why should I call a few days in advance you say??? Because they don't answer the phone and I would allow time to plan out your calling. So think of it as more of a plan out in advance place to visit and don't be just casually out and about. Because if you are they really don't want that kind of business.
