It's difficult not to judge this place a little when you pull in and park, not that it's bad by any means I actually thought the entrance was well done but what a transition when you walk through the door. Nice full length bar with lots of beers on tap, an open kitchen and a number of high top and floor level tables well placed with plenty of room to get comfortable. We seated ourselves and was immediately greeted and welcomed - the staff here is excellent and they all worked well together I liked that you can see the kitchen and watch them prepare the massive amount of offerings on the detailed menu. I immediately noticed the team work and that nothing left the kitchen without the lead chef looking things over. We decided to share a few item after placing our drink orders so we started with the old frenchy prime rib dip with a delicious au jus and baked potato wedges also a pepperoni, sausage and jalapeño pizza, everything was on point, served hot and well executed. This was a lot of food so I'll have to return for the smoked wings they looked amazing, I made a bad decision not to order them to go no doubt these would heat up well later. If your in the area look no further this is a gem of a restaurant...

I think they had 25 taps and the waitress was happy to bring us samples of a bunch before we made up our mind. We both ended up with a stout. We had a queso/sloppy Joe mixed dip as an app. While very tasty, it wasn't very hot (temp), which was a problem with much of the food. We had a pizza and fish tacos for mains. We also shared a cheesecake (or was it key lime) for desert. All were good, except for temp. The best part is with tax and tip dinner was only around $70.

The service was the highlight of the visit--the bartenders were genuinely friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome. That's the main reason I'm giving this place two stars. The food, however, was disappointing. I ordered my burger medium, but it arrived raw in the center. The onion rings were overly greasy with a heavy, unimpressive batter. After reading other reviews, I noticed someone else had a similar experience with the patty melt, so my meal may not have been an isolated issue. The atmosphere wasn't for me either. It feels much more like a neighborhood dive bar than a restaurant, with multiple TVs, loud music, constant chatter, and live entertainment outside all competing at once. If you're looking for a lively sports bar where you can watch a game, have a drink, and socialize, this may be exactly what you're after. I prefer a quieter, more relaxed dining experience, so it simply wasn't a good fit. The restaurant also has a dog-friendly patio, which many people enjoy, though it's not something I personally look for when dining out. Overall, I think Norton's has a loyal local following, and I can understand why some people enjoy the casual bar atmosphere. For me, though, the combination of the underwhelming food and the very loud environment means I won't be returning. The staff deserved better than the meal they were serving, because their friendliness and service were the best part of the visit.

I normally prefer more unique local spots with a little more personality. That being said... the short rib entrée was actually pretty good. In fact, I was SO hungry that I completely forgot to take a photo before eating it, which for an avid Yelper like myself is practically unheard of. Somewhere halfway through the meal I suddenly realized... wait... I never even took the picture. The short rib was tender, flavorful and comforting, and I pretty much inhaled the entire thing without thinking twice. Service was super friendly, the atmosphere was completely dead overall... however the genuine smiles from my waitress gave me warm fuzzies and made me realize .. you know .,, there are genuinely nice people out there.

I went to City Fire in Brownwood after dinner with friends, and unfortunately it was probably one…read moreof the worst bar-service experiences I've had in a long time. The biggest problem was simply a lack of attention to the customers. The staff seemed more interested in watching TV than noticing who needed service. At one point I approached someone working behind the bar and was told, "Oh, I'm not the bartender." Fair enough--he was apparently the barback, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. But I shouldn't have to remind someone working behind the bar to get the bartender when a customer is clearly waiting for service. The whole operation just felt amateur and poorly managed. What makes it disappointing is that City Fire in Brownwood used to have a decent crowd and a good atmosphere. Tonight it felt almost like a ghost town, and after experiencing the service, I can understand why. I probably won't be going back unless they improve the staffing and service. There are too many other places in Brownwood where the bar staff actually pays attention to their customers.

We were and off she went to give the kitchen instructions. As I said, it was fairly busy, and it seemed to take an inordinate amount of time to deliver a bowl of chili, chicken tenders and a sandwich, which was not too hot, although it should have been. The waitress forgot to bring my mayonnaise for fry dipping as asked for when I ordered the sandwich and she finally came by to ask if all was good, when we were about finished. 55 minutes for a lunch seemed a bit long, so beware if your timing is tight. The food was ok, not great, but not bad.

First, the chef greeted almost everyone but us which was quite disappointing. Second, my order was messed up. I did told them i touched it since i thought it looked like my dish with the scallops yet the waiter still picked it up and serve to another table. Our food also took a long time to come out..water took a long time to get refilled along with the napkins and our wine did not come out until way later. Third, our bill was messed up as well. So definitely be cautious. Also, pro tip is it is cheaper if you pay in cash. We did try new stuff such as kangaroo tartare..definitely was a hit but crab fondue was ok as well as the pastas. You could definitely make them at home. The lobster pasta was too overpowering with garlic and there was barely any duck in the duck and pork pasta. For Ocala, i would say okay if you wanted to give fine dining a try. I just would not be back due to how we were treated, all the mess ups and underwhelming food for what we paid for. I do have to give props to the scallops. It was nicely cooked ( still soft, and could melt in your mouth).
