Chicken fried steak, home fries, and over med egg

Busy place Quaint Seat was available when we arrived (although it needed some wiping down). Staff was quick to get drink order (fairly slow on refills) Food was great Prices were very reasonable

Ham & cheese omelette, hash browns and biscuit

It's a small but popular spot for breakfast and lunch. The servers are hopping to get everyone served in a timely fashion. I had the ham & cheese omelette. It was ok, but not as cheesy as usual and the ham was diced so tiny that it was a bit hard to eat as it fell out of the omelette (see photo) the biscuit was huge and hash browns were my favorite. They have Coke products but no Coke Zero.

The quintessential best breakfast joint. I was in town for two days recently and ate here two days. The staff is fun, attentive and friendly. Our server had a great sense of humor too. The food was all super tasty and the portions were huge. I got the Philly steak omelette one day and that was so good I got the chicken Philly omelette the next day. To keep that much meat, veg and cheese in an omelette is an art. Mad props to the cooks for their technique. I know it's no easy task. The coffee was so good. It definitely had a flavor that was rich and nostalgic, finding out it was folders and tasted so good let me know I can hopefully make a pot like that at home. Coffee goals! Still can't believe it was a simple brand that tasted like the perfect cup you crave. If I were to pick my favorite diner I've been to in Florida, this one now takes the top spot. The live oak trees that surround this building are absolutely breathtaking. Plus it's also really fun to tell your friends we're going to the Dam Diner. :D

    Beautiful old school country food.

I…read morehope the cafe takes this feedback to heart because this area really needs a great restaurant and coffee shop, and this spot has so much potential. The location is beautiful--right on the water--with a cozy, inviting interior that makes you want to stay a while. I've been here before, and my first visit left a better impression. The coffee was great that time, and I was excited to return. Unfortunately, my second visit didn't live up to the first. We ordered three coffees: the Snickerdoodle, Honey Bee, and Bean Redeem. All of them were overwhelmingly milk-forward with very little actual coffee flavor. The Snickerdoodle, which was supposed to have cinnamon notes, tasted mostly like vanilla and caramel. The Honey Bee didn't taste quite right, and the Bean Redeem lacked the white chocolate and toffee flavors advertised--it just came across as more vanilla. As for the food, we tried a variety: the biscuits and gravy, Sunrise Supreme, the Classic, and the Reg. Sadly, nothing stood out. The Reg and Classic were okay but lacked seasoning or anything memorable. The biscuits and gravy reminded us of the older McDonald's version--definitely not homemade. The Sunrise Supreme came on mini biscuits that were dry, and the sandwiches overall were just average. A recurring issue we noticed was that a lot of the items seemed prepackaged. The baked goods in the case looked like they came from Sam's Club. If the coffee had been excellent, we could have overlooked that--but with both the drinks and food falling flat, it's hard to justify a return visit right now. That said, I really want to see this place thrive. There's a great opportunity here to make it special: seasonal menus, house-made syrups, stronger flavor profiles in the coffee, and maybe even partnerships with local roasters and bakers. Showcasing fresh, local ingredients and dialing in the coffee recipes could turn this into a true gem. I'll be keeping an eye on this spot and genuinely hope to update this review in the future with a better experience.

We had an early service and we were at The Brunch House before 9:30 AM and this place was doing brisk business...a good sign. We sat down, were presented menus, and my wife ordered coffee while we decided what to order for breakfast. My wife chose the 2 Eggs and a Biscuit with hash browns ($11.99) and I decided to try out their Eggs Benedict with house potatoes ($13.99). The half order of biscuits that came with my wife's meal was quite generous...more like a full order. So much so that she took home the eggs and hash browns for a later meal. She liked the fresh biscuits smothered in a savory, peppery gravy. The only thing she would improve on is perhaps adding some sausage meat in the gravy and it would be perfect. The eggs Benedict were well executed. Perfectly poached eggs atop a smoky and thick slice of Canadian bacon and English muffin, all swimming in a creamy hollandaise sauce. The only thing that would've made this better would be a thicker, more substantial English muffin. All in all, we liked our breakfast meal and will likely return. Breakfast for 2 was just under $38 with tip. NOTE: There's a surcharge for credit card payments.

The exterior is clean and simple. When you walk in, it's clean, simple, and a bit Chip and Joanna-esque, which I love. I was quickly greeted and told I could sit anywhere. I was given a menu and their drink menu. After being off coffee for a week, I saw that they make their own coffee syrups, so I got an iced decaf almond milk latte with their salted caramel syrup. While I waited, I looked over the menu. I really wanted to try the french toast or the waffle, but opted for the bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant and cup of their cheese grits. The latte came out quickly and tasted exquisite. Sometimes you get decaf and it tastes watery, but not this latte. My friend ordered a salad with grilled chicken on top. Everythign came out quickly. The first thing I noticed were the cheese grits. They were delicious. Rich, creamy, and flavorful. Get them. The bacon egg and cheese on a croissant was also really good. It was just after noon on a Friday when we arrived and there was a 10-minute wait for a table. Upon being seated, we were presented the menu. We both considered ordering the Reuben Sandwich but I opted instead for the Club Sandwich on Ciabatta (as recommended by our server) and a side of Seafood Chowder. We both just ordered water with a slice of lemon to drink. Our server eventually came back with my wife's Reuben sandwich served with a bag of chips and she also had my cup of chowder, commenting how the club sandwich will be served shortly. My wife liked her Reuben, with tender meat and sharp sauerkraut. She also liked how the rye bread held up to the strong flavors. My chowder was equally good but it wasn't served with crackers. We waited a while for our server to return so I could ask for some crackers but she went ghost on us. Finally, more than 10 minutes after my wife was served her sandwich, a gentleman, who we can only assume was the manager, came over to ask if I've been served my club sandwich. Of course I pointed to a clean table to indicate no sighting of my sandwich and I also asked for some crackers. A few minutes later, the same man came back with some crackers and apologized for a mix up in the back. That's when I told them to forget the club sandwich so we can be on our way. To the manager's credit, he had the club sandwich boxed up and gave it to me free of charge. He was very apologetic. I was still a bit miffed and thought about leaving the sandwich there but my wife convinced me otherwise. Needless to say, service wasn't at the forefront during that dining experience. Despite the service mix up, however, I was still inclined to give this place 4 stars for the taste and quality of the food. The staff can have some inconsistencies and I tend to believe that's not the norm for this establishment which has earned high marks on Yelp.
