Really neat place! You walk in and can either sit inside the restaurant or choose to sit in their side "screen" room I guess as it has a fireplace. It was freezing outside when we went so I wouldn't recommend sitting in the add on screen room as we did because I froze my ass off. Server was pleasant and kind. She was super attentive. The coffee kept coming and it was your standard typical breakfast nothing to write home about. It was good enough to come because before heading to the springs for the day. Will be back! Posting this now but it's been since February since I've came, seems like yesterday! Insane how time flies! I'll be back tho! read more

It was nice to find a hole in the wall breakfast place that's really in the middle of nowhere. The food was good and a good value. The only exception for a 3 and not a 4 star was that I wanted to substitute grits for the meat. I do not eat meat, but eat eggs, pancakes and grits. So I was told that I can order each thing alacarte instead. It was slightly more to do that way, but they do NOT allow substitutions. Ok, I get it. They are super busy. Oh well, not a big deal. The staff were nice and food came out pretty fast and hot. Give them a try and see what You think. We will be back when we travel that route. read more

Typical diner food. Taste is great, portions and prices are very fair. Don't expect great service, just good subpar. I frequent here as much as I can and nothing has driven me away! It's rustic on the inside with definitely an old diner feel. If service staff was friendlier and more welcoming I'd definitely come back sooo much more. The older ladies work hard so I don't blame them. Personally I'd just rather drive an extra 20 minutes, start my day with a server who will give a goodmorning with a smile and come off like they want to be at work. read more

It's a small but popular spot for breakfast and lunch. The servers are hopping to get everyone served in a timely fashion. I had the ham & cheese omelette. It was ok, but not as cheesy as usual and the ham was diced so tiny that it was a bit hard to eat as it fell out of the omelette (see photo) the biscuit was huge and hash browns were my favorite. The quintessential best breakfast joint. I was in town for two days recently and ate here two days. The staff is fun, attentive and friendly. Our server had a great sense of humor too. The food was all super tasty and the portions were huge. I got the Philly steak omelette one day and that was so good I got the chicken Philly omelette the next day. To keep that much meat, veg and cheese in an omelette is an art. Mad props to the cooks for their technique. I know it's no easy task. The coffee was so good. It definitely had a flavor that was rich and nostalgic, finding out it was folders and tasted so good let me know I can hopefully make a pot like that at home. Coffee goals! Still can't believe it was a simple brand that tasted like the perfect cup you crave. If I were to pick my favorite diner I've been to in Florida, this one now takes the top spot. The live oak trees that surround this building are absolutely breathtaking. Plus it's also really fun to tell your friends we're going to the Dam Diner. :D read more

sadly i finally visited there , i moved around the corner 14 yrs ago and been wanting to try the place .. i went for Cataract surgery and my brother drove me and i offered to buy him breakfast so i said i know just the place .. i had 2 eggs, bacon potatoes and the worst coffee ever .. and the waitress walked by out table which was inside a bunch of time and never once stopped to ask if i wanted more coffee (which i surely would of said no) my brother had just an Omelet and soda the bill came to a whopping $30 some dollars WOW i could went to Dennys and had a Grand slam with eggs, bacon, potatoes , and pancakes for $10.95 .. i admit i was excited to finally visit your place but it turned out not what i expected especially being on SS Disability i am careful how i spend my money .......... read more

Loved the old time country diner feel. Everyone was so friendly. We found out from talking to our waitress that the building was from the 1940s or 1950s and started as a house. It's been a diner since 1999. Everything was delicious and the home-made biscuits were huge. If you want fancy, this place is not for you.
