    Haute Pocket - filling rotates
    Christien B.

First time trying out this cute spot in Debary for Valentine's Day brunch. It was a beautiful day and we were able to sit outside and have a relaxing meal on the patio. On Saturday's, they do a bottle of champagne for $20 and it wasn't the cheapest stuff in town! Our server was amazingly helpful, gave great recommendations and helped make our visit special. Everything is true farm to table so the menu rotates. But the dishes we had were divine. We split the savory crepe that was an egg crepe with mash potatoes, sausage and a sage brown butter sauce. Other item split were the haute pocket and steak flatbread. You can tell a lot of thought is put into the menu items and blending of flavors. We for sure will return!

Great spot with a large outdoor patio. They locally source their ingredients - everything from chicken to mushrooms to clams. There is a chalk sign that shouts out all the local farms they source from, which makes going out to brunch feel like a community event. All of our food was fresh and delicious. I really liked the variety of different dishes on the menu, like French toast, huevos papas rellenas, pastrami hash, and a bulgogi banh mi. Service was great too!

How much to say other than this is probably the best Smashburger I've had in a while! The brisket on the Smashburger takes this to the next level of flavor!! 1000/10 I sat at the bar and the bartender, was very friendly and attentive, even though the bar was full. Very affordable meal for how much food you get and how full I left.

My husband and I like to tryout new restaurants and heard about the unique offerings at the Salted Goat, so we decided to give them a try. The Salted Goat is at the tail end of a small strip of other businesses in Debary, FL. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating and you're welcomed to choose your own table upon entering. The decor is modern with some kitsch. Our server was friendly but seemed to get a little overwhelmed as the restaurant filled up. As an appetizer, my husband and I ordered the root beer glazed pork belly skewers. The only word I can use to accurately describe them is "gross." The menu described them as "crispy." There were no parts of the dish that were crispy as the pieces were super fatty. My husband could barely swallow his piece of pork and I couldn't at all, so it ended up crumbled up in a napkin. Our server apologized and took the dish away. For our entrees, my husband ordered the meatloaf and I ordered the blackened chicken. We ordered a salad as one of our sides and this was my favorite part of the meal. The lettuce was so fluffy and fresh! My chicken was okay - unevenly seasoned, so some bites were overly salty and others lacked flavor. We both had mashed potatoes accompanying our entrees and had to add salt. I wanted to try one of their desserts: persimmon upside down cake. I had never tried persimmon before nor had I ever seen it on a menu, so I tried it. The cake was overly sweet so I couldn't quite taste persimmon flavor or anything other than sugar but at least it didn't have a "bad" taste. My husband was annoyed that they charged us for the pork belly and the waitress caught his grimace while reviewing the bill, so she consulted with her supervisor who removed the charge for the pork belly as well as for my husband's mocktail. We appreciated the gesture, but we still probably won't come back.

Food was good at salted goat this weekend, but it did take a very long time to come out for the level of business in the restaurant. About 45 minutes. Everything was very tasty though I will say, especially the huevos papas rellenas! They had a few social items for the day. Bloody Mary was okay, it did taste like a bottled mix which is fine I just think I needed a little something additional. Mimosas pretty cheap, $5 and bloody was $6!

Service was a bit slow but the food more than makes up for it. The chicken waffles are amazing and the specials we had while there were delicious. Ambiance was interesting and clean inside.

Food was absolutely delicious, as always. We typically come for a Sunday brunch but were able to come have dinner today. Our server was super kind. We shared the pork belly for an app, ordered a couple of drinks, & split a smash burger with fries & garlic aioli of course. They had music on the patio and the weather was beautiful.

Had 7 of us go for dinner on a Saturday night. Made an online reservation for 6 :30pm. Didn't have to wait. Got seated inside. Each of us ordered a different entree. Found out page one of the menu changes daily and features local farm to table fare. I got the Pan Seared Duck with a Merlot cherry reduction, with red cabbage and Seminole Pumpkin Puree. Yum!! Very different tastes but delicious!! My friend got the Drunken Piggy Pasta which was sausage and stewed tomato base with a spiced bloody Mary sauce, my sister got the Salmon BLT with no bun, another friend got the Pastrami Reuben and another friend got the Brisket Smash Burger. Everyone raved about the food and service was really good. Food came hot and presentation was really nice. All in all, I would go again.

This was our first time trying. The service was slow but they only had 1 server and 1 bartender. The place was not too busy. It was quite cute decor. The food was good, they change their menu often so you might want to call before you come to see what they have. The tacos were mid not much flavor. The cowboy poppers were food. The lamb hot pockets were okay the sauce was the only really good thing about it. The ravioli sauce was so good I could have drank it. The deserts were okay. I am not quite sure if I would go back or not.

We were supposed to go with just two friends, but our party of four turned to a party of 13. I called them as soon as I knew (we were 15 minutes out) and the team was able to put together tables quite quickly with the short notice we gave. Raven was our server and she did amazing, making sure we were all taken care of and gave recommendations. My husband and I enjoyed the goat cheese bruschetta, pastrami hash and Creme brûlée French toast. Everything tasted so good! The team prides itself in making everything to order and you can definitely taste it. Others at the table were so pleased they were talking about what they were going to try the next time they came. Kat and her team have an amazing place and I look forward to returning!

Everyone just seems so happy here so you can tell that it really enjoy their jobs which makes a huge difference. We started off with the coconut shrimp and had like this coconut mayo dipping sauce was different, but it was really good, but I felt like it needed like a sweet-and-sour sauce then I had the mahi tacos with just the rice no black beans definitely still as good as the last time I tried it my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken pizza gluten-free and he ate the entire thing so that just tells you right off the bat that it was good and to finish off our dinners we ended with Keylime pie. It wasn't the best it was OK. I don't think I would have it again, though the ambience, excellent this place is adorable. It's like a diamond in the rough. No one really knows it's here but anytime ever and someone says they're going to Daytona. I always recommend this place. Go here! You will never be disappointed trust me!

Having been to the grind over the years, we have certain expectations as to the quality of food and…read moreservice. I want to preface this by saying we went on a very cold day and ate indoors..the pizza was outstanding and the waiter was friendly and engaging..in other words, typical for our experiences there. Prior to this, we even brought friends who hadn't been there before and loved it...now, to our recent experience: We were seated and the waitress seemed as though she wasn't very familiar with the menu and had to check on our requests, each check took a disturbingly long time. When we brought our friends, my gal ordered a hamburger and I asked the waitress if she could have the wagyu, rather than the angus burger, she readily said yes and my gal marveled over the burger...fast forward to the last experience, the waitress said she'd have to order the wagyu as posted and it "wasn't available" as a stand alone order. So my gal settled for the angus burger and again, the wait was a bit long and as we were considering to leave, the waitress showed up, gave us our food and left. the onion rings were cold...literally...they had been out so long that they weren't even warm (our prior experiences the onion rings arrived hot and delicious). Again we waited for our waitress to return and my gal had to ask another waitress if she could get us some hot onion rings. That waitress noted the cold onion rings and brought them back to the kitchen to prove we weren't being unreasonable, which was a greatly appreciated gesture on her part. Very promptly, the "other" waitress brought our onion rings, apologizing profusely...we thanked her and when my gal started into her Caesar salad, it was inedible....soggy, nearly tasteless and resembling a hot spinach salad with soggy lettuce than a crisp Caesar salad....the upside, the second batch of onion rings were up to their usual excellent standard, the burger was good, but not the intensity of flavor their wagyu burger had. If we hadn't been semi-regulars, it is a near certainty we wouldn't go back, but we aren't going to let a single experience unravel years of good experiences.

A wonderful happy hour menu, led us to a full menu of what felt like a farm to table experience. I sadly didn't get to snap a photo of the excellent appetizer buratta, but it was a perfect blend of balsamic tomato and creamy cheese! I am a true foodie, and this was hands-down the best burger I've ever eaten. My husband absolutely loved his shrimp and grits, perfectly cooked and well balanced flavor. Well, I know everyone recommends the chocolate cake, I can't rave enough about the crème brûlée. Do yourself a favor and go out of your way to enjoy a " private chef experience" meal! Luckily, it looked like the brunch crowd was thinning out so we were able to get a table without a reservation. Bulla serves tapas style meaning you should probably get at least two items if you are not sharing with the table. Looking at the menu, my husband and I both realized that if you are going to get three items each, it really was the best value to get the Brunch Prix Fixe for $32 although it did seem like a lot of food. In hindsight, we probably should have shared one Brunch Prix Fixe and then got one or two other items as I ended up taking food home. There is also a Bottomless Sangrias and Mimosas for $23 but we aren't big drinkers. I did get a hot tea though. For the first course, I ordered the Potato Tortilla and my husband ordered the Sopa de Garbanzo Frita. As soon as they arrived, I realized it was going to be too much food because each one was huge. My potatoes were very thinly sliced and soft and delicious, especially with a swipe of the garlic aioli. My husband liked his chickpea soup but did say it was a little spicy. It also comes with a poached egg in the soup. That was another thing - most of the Prix Fixe items, especially the second course, come with either fried or poached egg and I only eat scrambled which made it hard to choose the next course. I got the Chicken and Waffles which came with three thin breaded chicken fillets sandwiched between super fluffy waffle quarters, served with a rosemary maple syrup. It was all so good, that you could eat the chicken and the waffles without the syrup if you wanted but I used the syrup for the herby flavor. I took home two of the waffle quarters and one piece of chicken for a waffle sandwich at home. My husband's braised pork hash was also really good, and came with another poached egg. For the final sweets course, we both ordered the Hazelnut Waffles (yes, yes, I know, I ordered two waffle dishes in a row). These were so yummy, just slathered with Nutella, whipped white chocolate cream, and chocolate chips. All in all, a great brunch!
