I've been to the winter park location many times and now there is this one in lake Mary! Very cool. It had a large patio with lots of seating and of course indoor seating. It's where the old Liam's was. I didn't realize you can mark up your menu for the burger customization. Is that new? Service was great. I had a burger and salad on the side. The food is always good. She was kind to split up our bill as there were 15 of us for a bday party. Food came out in a timely manner and no mistakes were made. Parking at this plaza is hit or miss. There are a ton of spots but expect to walk. You'd be lucky to get a spot right out front. I'd say this experience mirrors my experience in winter park. This place is great! read more

There are numerous apps and burgers to choose from and cover a wide variety of preferences. And yes, they even serve a bison burger. For my starter we ordered the pretzels and beer cheese as well as the wings. Both were great and came out quickly. There were three of us so this was very filling and probably too much as an app. Next, the table ordered entrees and we all stuck with burgers. I opted for the build your own burger which I love that as an option. The burgers were fantastic and highly recommended. Lastly, we closed it out whiskey donuts and they are the show stopper. These things are amazing and I could come just for them. There's a perfect amount of whiskey where even if you don't like whiskey these would be good for you. It's a hint of flavor and not overtaking the dish. One more thing; the way you order your food is by circling it on the menu. The Hangry Bison was a perfect spot for our weekly family dinner. They have a smaller menu, but one entire side offers tons of different options to where you can make your own sandwich. Last night I had the chance to experience this restaurant at this location for the first time. I ordered the Bleu Bison burger with sweet potato fries. This burger was delish! Cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. To drink their Hibiscus Spritz, if you like champagne you will love this beverage. Came here with friends and family and had an excellent experience! Our server, Lauren, was so sweet and accommodating especially for my family member with celiac and several food intolerances. Lauren took the time to go over the mocktail ingredients with her, and even brought her the bottle from the bar so she could review the ingredients herself. It's a great spot in Lake Mary to relax on the patio with a drink. The atmosphere is lively but also laid-back, and the cocktails at Hangry Bison are usually always on point. Perfect place to unwind outdoors after catching a movie. This past visit, I really didn't love the Sweet & Salty. I don't think the bartender made it correctly because it tasted like salt water. Toward the end, we waited quite a while for the check (like 20 minutes) and started wondering where he went while our two little ones were melting down at the table. The food itself was okay. I really enjoyed the green beans, but I was a little disappointed in the burger. It was on the dry side and pretty difficult to eat by hand. Came here for happy hour with some coworkers and it was pretty great! They have a pretty decent options for both drinks and small bites for their HH. My friend got the mule and I ordered a cosmo. I will say, the truffle fries were a 2/10 and got sent back. Undercooked, heat lamp fries with truffle and Parmesan or whatever...was gross. Wings were 6/10 and calamari was 5/10. I've always loved the Winter Park location, so happy to see they've expanded & much closer to me. The transition from Liam Fitzpatricks to Hangry Bison is outstanding, the whole building inside & out is beautiful. The bars & beer taps were so wonderfully done I'm sad we didn't have the opportunity to drink this time around. I had the Hangry Bison (pictured) & my husband had the Trashley - both cooked to perfection & quickly (super quick service), with perfectly crispy fries. So, I was torn between 3 & 4 stars but I'm "rounding up" so I'm giving it a 4. We sat at the outside bar for dinner on a Saturday evening. The service was amazing even with the spot being slammed. Drinks were ehhh alright, kinda pricy but expected. I ordered a BYO Shortrib Burger, medium rare. Perfect! I got fries as my side.. def disappointed. I got all the shakes, plus they were room temp & kinda dry. The BF got the BYO Bison Burger... he was NOT impressed. Being a big fan of bison burgers he said the quality & taste was (I'll keep his description to myself) his sweet potato fries were pretty good though! A nasty storm (torrential downpour) decided to roll in which hung around for wayyyyy too long, which caused us to be stuck at the bar surrounded by the worst lightening ever! After waiting it out that $80 dinner bill (minus tip) turned quickly into $200+ (minus tip) due to the pricy drinks and 2 $20 tequila shots (each) ummm what kind of tequila was that bc we are not in Miami lol Overall it was good, I'd go back with friends. We came here for a double birthday celebration tonight for the first time. They cleared a table and seated us right away. Edwardo was the best waiter we could have asked for! My FIL is a little hard of hearing but Edwardo was patient, knew the menu well, and was very attentive. Our group of 4 shared the calamari appetizer and we each ordered the build your own burger. There are plenty of options to customize your burger from but not too many it feels overwhelming. We were impressed when our food came out and saw the size of our buffalo burgers. They were cooked to our specifications and my MIL loved her salmon patty. Definitely would recommend for a date night out or for apps and a drink with a friend. We stopped in at The Hungry Bison recently, and while there were a few rough edges to our visit, there were also several highlights that made it a place we'd consider returning to--especially for happy hour or future events. Let's start with the positives: our server Arvid was absolutely fantastic--attentive, friendly, and clearly knew the menu well. He checked in regularly without being intrusive and made us feel genuinely welcome. The food itself was another strong point: high-quality ingredients, well-prepared, and the portion sizes were generous for the price. You really get solid value here. Our meals arrived surprisingly quickly too, which made the dining experience all the more enjoyable. That said, the experience started on a slightly awkward note. We arrived just before opening and were told by the manager to wait six minutes until they were officially open--not a huge deal on its own, but it felt unnecessarily rigid, especially considering there were already staff inside. Once the doors were open, we were seated, but the manager remained at the front table the entire time and didn't once walk the floor or check on guests. It felt like a missed opportunity, especially for a place that's only been open just over a week and should be building strong first impressions. One noticeable issue was the floor--it was quite slick, as if it had been mopped with a greasy solution or not enough degreaser. I actually felt myself sliding a bit as I walked, and another guest nearby even made a similar comment. It's something we would have mentioned had the manager made rounds or shown any engagement beyond seating guests. Despite the hiccups, the service from Arvid and the food quality made a strong enough impression that we'd give it another shot--particularly to check out their happy hour or attend one of their events. With a little more attention to front-of-house leadership and basic maintenance details, The Hungry Bison has real potential. read more

This place is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! I've been in personally for lunch and just wrapped up a team outing of 30 people for work and both experiences were 10/10 experiences. The food, ambiance, and service is exceptional at every level. I've had The Hangry Bison Burger which is one of their signatures for good reason. It was juicy and delicious on a pretzel bun and it was easily one of the best burgers I've ever had - perfectly cooked, topped and seasoned. I've also had the Braised Short Rib, which we ordered for our special event and it was absolutely EXCEPTIONAL, one of the best pork dishes I've ever had. The mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes are all out of this world. This is a perfect space for private parties and work events. The space easily accommodated our party of 30 with great appetizers, main dishes and and a TV and mic for presentations. Gio and Brenda made planning everything a breeze, Lauren and Maleek took incredible care of our party and the owner Joe was around and super attentive. My new favorite place to eat and if you drink, they seem to have an extensive menu of bourbon and cocktails. Even their coffee is good which was an awesome surprise! read more

There were many options I had my eye on but my date made a mention of a previous sandwich he had a time before and I locked eyes and didnt look back LOL! I ordered the Hangry Red Head which is the hand battered friend chicken breast with buffalo sauce (had a right amount on it!) I opted for Provolone cheese instead of crumbled bleu cheese..... lettuce, tomatoe and red onion on a brioche bun. I also add crispy onion straws. It was very delicious! My side was the sweet potatoe fries. Yummmay!!! My date ordered the turkey burger which he liked as well. I was in luck and happy hour was just ending so I ordered a Hangry Hour Old Fashioned made with Old Forester. OMG So good and smooth! I also ordered the Hangry Hour Moscow Mule which was very delightful as well. The waiter was on point continuously refilling the water and checking on us. We even got a magnet to go. The only downfall was that it started to rain and we were the only table out in the open.... when I asked if we could be moved to a table under or inside I was told no that they were all spoken for already.... so my date helped our waiter move our table under the overhang so we wouldn't get wet.
