First Impressions The restaurant feels modern and upscale, but still welcoming. When we arrived, the main dining area was fairly quiet, while the bar and patio were busy for happy hour. Despite the elevated feel, the atmosphere was relaxed -- jeans and a t-shirt didn't feel out of place. Parking Located in a large shopping center. Street parking can be limited during peak times, but there is plenty of parking available in nearby lots. Food * Corn fritters: Very good and a great shareable appetizer. They're cheesier and spicier than expected, which is worth noting. * Brie and apple flatbread: Decent, but slightly underwhelming. I'd order it again, though the apple served appeared to differ from what was listed on the menu. However, it was a nice surprise that they made it in a heart shape for us considering it was almost Valentine's Day. * OMG Burger: Excellent -- juicy, flavorful, and the clear standout. The fries were a bit plain, so upgrading to truffle fries is a good move. * Drinks: The Cardigan was flavorful and unique, especially fitting for fall. The Hibiscus Nojito was refreshing and not too sweet, though a little pricey for a mocktail. Service The hostess was friendly and greeted us right away. It wasn't mentioned until after we were seated that happy hour wasn't offered in the main dining area, which would have been helpful to know earlier. Service overall was fine, though there were some gaps in menu knowledge and check-ins, and one dish wasn't prepared exactly as described. We also didn't receive a manager visit during the meal. Final Thoughts Overall, I would technically give our experience 3.5 stars, our first visit to Boca wasn't a bad experience, and I'd return -- especially for happy hour or their brunch as the prices for dinner were pretty high and did not seem to align with the quality of food you get. A few items fell short of expectations, but there's enough here to make it worth another try.

Zucchini fries with green goddess dressing and fried green tomatoes. The green goddess was perfect.

Boca is a relaxed, neighborhoodrestaurant vibe paired with food that is for comfort. This is a spot that takes foods and gives them just enough polish to feel special. The fried green tomatoes are a standout starter, crispy on the outside, with that perfect tangy bite inside that only a well cooked green tomato delivers. The pimento cheese topping was delicious. The coating was light and well-seasoned, allowing the tomato's natural flavor to shine rather than overpowering it. The zucchini fries are equally addictive Crunchy, and not at all greasy, with a tender interior that makes them feel fresher and lighter than your average fried side. The green goddess dressing was EVERYTHING for these zucchini fries. Definitely get more of that dressing. Then there's the OMG Burger, which fully earns its name, so juicy and tender. I loved the burger and the fresh cut potato fries. Paired with Boca's casual atmosphere and great service, the OMG Burger alone is reason enough to come back, but I loved the atmosphere here too. Would highly recommend for a relaxed and elegant meal.

This was my first time visiting Boca. Upon entering we were greeted and immediately seated. I decided on my usual Steak and Eggs with Fresh Fruit. I also ordered the Boca Espresso Martini. Others in my group ordered the Parmesan Truffle Fries, Fried Green Tomatoes, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Farmhouse Breakfast, Brie & Apple Flatbread, and Cardigan Cocktail. The Steak and Eggs were ok. The Steak looked burnt and dry but actually tasted good. It was seasoned and juicy. The Boca Espresso Martini was delicious. It had a great blend of coffee and alcohol. I sampled the Cardigan and thought it was great. The flavor of the pear came through and mixed well with the other ingredients. I loved the way the coffee was presented and served. Everyone else especially enjoyed the Brie & Apple Flatbread. I would return again to try other food options. I definitely want to return just to try the Spritz tree. I have seen it in person and it looks wonderful.

LOBSTER WONTONS - cream cheese, scallions, citrus soy glaze dipping sauce

I have had the Boca in Winter Park bookmarked for quite a while and this newly opened location ended up being the first one to visit. The outside area is nice but a bit small. Service was attentive. The LOBSTER WONTONS - cream cheese, scallions, citrus soy glaze dipping sauce were a great way to start dinner. The ZUCCHINI FRIES - green goddess dressing were a bit of a surprise as I did not expect them to look like potato fries! I really enjoyed my SWEET POTATO GNOCCHI Oyster - mushroom, garlic sage cream, parmesan, broccolini, brown butter as my main meal and it was nice to have an Elderberry Cider as a light option for a drink. Overall, very happy with my first time experience and I will be back!

Our server Genny (pronounced "Henny") was awesome, attentive, made sure our drinks were always full and everything came out to our liking. We sat outside which was beautiful with plenty of shade from umbrellas. The bloody mary could have used a little more of a kick, but was solid. Corn fritters to start were delicious, nice crispy shell with cheesy filling. Cilantro sauce was a nice touch as well. The chicken and waffles were massive, two waffles with two fried chicken thighs. Chicken had a nice crispy breading and juicy, tender meat. Waffles were fluffy inside with a light sugar coating that cut through the richness of the chicken and gravy. Overall a wonderful experience for brunch, I'd definitely come back here to try more of their menu!

Had a fabulous brunch! Our waiter was great. He kept drinks flowing and made solid recommendations. The inside is cozy, clean and has a gorgeous bar. It wasn't loud and the crowd was a good age mix. For brunch, we tried the chicken and waffles and the sourdough breakfast sandwich. Excellent lattes as well. We're really looking forward to coming back for another brunch and trying them for dinner. Great local spot!

The service was great! They were very attentive and accommodating. I fell in love with the cherry cobbler and ice cream as well.

First, the location is so much nicer than when it was Dexter's. Great to see. The service was nice, interesting menu. It has a nice vibe, not loud just right. Some of the dishes and desserts were really good, a couple B+. Ditch the Swiss Press coffee and tell the bar tender what a nice liquor pour looks like ("oh we pour doubles"... No not even close) to make this even better. Will return.

We came in for Sunday brunch and had a good experience! We have been to the Winter Park location many times, but wanted to try the new one. It's beautiful and in a great location. Service was great! We were welcomed, seated, and served quickly. We love their cocktails. My mom always gets the hibiscus martini. I loved the Florida Pilsner, which is an orange blossom Pilsner with Aperol. We shared the pig and the bee flatbread, which was a perfect mix of salty and sweet. To eat, I had the fork and knife breakfast sandwich with potatoes. It was rich and well constructed. My dad got the chicken and waffles which was also incredibly delicious. My mom loves their Caesar salad. You can't go wrong! This is a great spot for brunch!

Great moment to enjoy some brunch for a celebration of one of my girlie's birthdays. I interacted with the front staff who were extremely friendly and kind. I was seated and had a please of working with a kind server who recommended some awesome food to try. I tried the Hibiscus nojito which is a mocktail and it was fabulous. The lime and Hibiscus paired perfectly together. Perfect drink for those who do not want an alcoholic beverage. Secondly I ordered the avocado toast . It was so good it the human ate first before the camera lol. I didnt even realize that I didn't take a photo until I went to write my review. Okay Boca you guys got me. I will be back for some brunch happens. I highly recommend this Boca location in Lake Mary, FL. I also love the location of the establishment. It's surrounded by many other great shops for you to explore. See you!!

I recently went to Boca with a couple of girlfriends for our monthly brunch date. It was my first time visiting this restaurant, which is located in a very nice plaza in Lake Mary. They have a trendy outdoor seating area, and the interior is just as nice. We all ordered different dishes, and the food was tasty, but my favorite part besides spending time with my gal pals, was definitely the coffee experience. The coffee came out in a French press along with a small hourglass timer. The server flipped it over, and once the sand ran out, it was time to press and pour your coffee. Such a unique and fun touch! 10/10 would recommend, our server was friendly and even recommend some dishes. If you're looking for a nice spot for brunch, or a date, Boca is worth checking out.

Steak & eggs & the fried green tomatoes
    Kathryn B.

Brunch was excellent. Freshly made, we ordered the fried green tomatoes which had tomato jam, pimento, and bacon! Yum!!!!! We shared the steak & eggs which came with potato. I asked for an extra side of chimichurri and it was absolutely phenomenal. Hit the spot. I enjoyed the Bloody Mary and my partner had the Morning Martini which had mezcal & espresso. She thought it was interesting and balanced! Vibes were exactly the same location in Winger Park which we've enjoyed several times. Overall, really good experience, we will definitely be back, it's closer to home which is awesome!

    Truffle fries
    Ani S.

The food was delicious and the service was attentive but not overbearing. The truffle fries were good but not as hefty as at Vineyard across the street. The Caesar was good but not great because of the "croutons" tasted scorched -- they looked like burnt tortillas, and there were few capers. Salmon with roasted vegetables was very tasty as was the special lamb lollipops (2) over pumpkin purée with pecans. The special dessert was cherry cobbler but I opted for crème brûlée that was deliciously orange flavored.

The restaurant is decorated beautifully, the staff are super friendly, efficient, and everything was clean. Regardless, I prefer this versus large paper menus or scanning a QR code to look up the menu. I decided on the Carnitas Fajitas for lunch which came to $14. This is a bit expensive for lunch but I did order Fajitas, so that's my bad, lol! The dinner portion is $22.50 which actually is priced competitively to other restaurants in the area. They do offer more affordable lunch options, but I decided to splurge a little. Our food was out in about 15 minutes and my fajitas were sizzling hot just the way I like them. It was well worth the $14 and I was stuffed most of the day after devouring this plate along with all the chips, salsa, and queso. There were four of us in the party and everyone was happy with their meal. Great Job Zacapa Team, we will be back soon!

The hostess, Tamia, was in the process of cleaning it but still took a moment to acknowledge us and let us know she would be right with us, which I appreciated. While we waited, more parties came in and the line quickly grew toward the door. There were other staff members nearby, but no one stepped in to help seat guests or manage the wait, which made things move slower than expected. Once we were seated, it took a while for our waiter to come to the table. The hostess actually came back to check on us and ask if we had been helped yet, which stood out. When our waiter did arrive, the first thing he mentioned was that last call would be soon since they close at 10. We had arrived around 9, so we went ahead and ordered both drinks and food at the same time. Service throughout the meal was slow. We ordered the trio for the table, and I got the puffy tacos, one beef and one chicken, with black beans and rice. My son ordered a chicken quesadilla, and another person in our party ordered street corn, birria tacos, and a passionfruit margarita. It took a while for the food to come out, and when it did, we didn't have any silverware. Our waiter didn't come back for a while, so we had to flag someone down just to be able to start eating. The trio was the highlight of the meal. The guacamole, salsa, and queso were all really good and definitely something I would order again. The rest of the food was just okay. The chicken taco lacked seasoning, while the beef taco was a bit over seasoned for my taste. The beans had an unusual flavor, and the rice tasted like it had been sitting for a while, which may have been due to the late hour. My son said the quesadilla was good. The birria tacos had a decent amount of meat, but the flavor was closer to roast beef than what you would expect from traditional birria. The passionfruit margarita was just okay and wasn't filled all the way to the top, which was noticeable. For the price, the overall experience didn't quite match the quality of the food and service. Between the slow service and inconsistent dishes, I would likely not return for a full meal. However, I would consider stopping by for takeout of the trio since that was the standout. I am so disappointed to see that yet another restaurant that once was wonderful has gone down hill! We will no longer go to this restaurant or recommend it.

I've been to the winter park location many times and now there is this one in lake Mary! Very cool…read more It had a large patio with lots of seating and of course indoor seating. It's where the old Liam's was. I didn't realize you can mark up your menu for the burger customization. Is that new? Service was great. I had a burger and salad on the side. The food is always good. She was kind to split up our bill as there were 15 of us for a bday party. Food came out in a timely manner and no mistakes were made. Parking at this plaza is hit or miss. There are a ton of spots but expect to walk. You'd be lucky to get a spot right out front. I'd say this experience mirrors my experience in winter park. This place is great!

I thought it was great food, great vibe and I love the new take on ordering your food…read more Heavy on the focus on bourbons and whiskey's, The Hangry Bison serves pub style food but next level. There are numerous apps and burgers to choose from and cover a wide variety of preferences. And yes, they even serve a bison burger. For my starter we ordered the pretzels and beer cheese as well as the wings. Both were great and came out quickly. There were three of us so this was very filling and probably too much as an app. Next, the table ordered entrees and we all stuck with burgers. I opted for the build your own burger which I love that as an option. The burgers were fantastic and highly recommended. Lastly, we closed it out whiskey donuts and they are the show stopper. These things are amazing and I could come just for them. There's a perfect amount of whiskey where even if you don't like whiskey these would be good for you. It's a hint of flavor and not overtaking the dish. One more thing; the way you order your food is by circling it on the menu. The staff will give you a traditional menu and a grease pencil/ pen and you simply mark what you want.

Ashley was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we sat down, she brought such a welcoming and…read moreupbeat energy that instantly elevated our entire experience. She was attentive without being overbearing, quick with recommendations, and clearly knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Every drink she made was spot-on -- perfectly balanced and served with a smile. What really stood out was how she went above and beyond to make sure we got the most out of our visit. She took the time to tell us about the MVP program and explained all the benefits in a way that was clear and genuinely helpful. On top of that, she made sure we knew about the 2-for-1 drink specials, which definitely made the night even better! Ashley didn't just serve drinks -- she created an experience. Friendly, professional, and incredibly personable, she's the kind of bartender that keeps people coming back. We'll absolutely be asking for her again next time!

We stopped into Duffy's for our team Christmas celebration recently and had an exceptional time…read more Service was stellar, we were a party of 8; we ordered a bunch of drinks, multiple appetizers to share, we each had a meal with upgraded sides and, and dessert. We can be a wild group and our server jived with us perfectly, which we appreciate. The spinach dip and chips were delicious, I believe we ordered two sets of this appetizer. We ordered regular stuffed mushrooms and an order of their crab stuffed mushrooms which were excellent. We ordered Onion Rings, fried calamari, and the Tex-Mex Eggrolls, which were all freshly fried and delicious. For my entrée I went with the full rack of ribs, a side of skewered shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli. The ribs were super tender and all of the sides were cooked perfectly and had plenty of great flavor. I ordered one of their holiday drink specials, the Cookie Butter Old Fashioned but ended up switching to a traditional old fashioned because this one was a bit too sweet for me. I also closed out my meal with an Espresso Martini which was excellent. Everyone else enjoyed their meals and there were plenty of leftovers to go around for those that wanted them. We usually go to Texas Roadhouse for our holiday celebration but they don't have tables big enough for larger groups which means we will have to sit a two separate tables. This year we wanted to try something different and Duffy's worked out perfectly. Great Job Duffy's, we will be back!
