Well balanced flavors and textures. Our server Justin was very attentive and helpful the entire night. He helped us decide everything from drinks and appetizers to entrees and desserts. He was very knowledgeable, descriptive, and accurate on his recommendations. The ambiance is perfect for a date night, drinks with friends, or any event really. They have lots of tables, a large bar, and even a private area if you have the need for it. We got two mocktails because we were participating in dry January. I got the passion fruit Boat Drinks and my wife got the Hibiscus Nojito. Both drinks were really good! To start we got the French Onion soup and the Pig and the Bee flatbread. Both were really tasty. The French Onion soup was nicely balanced with the perfect amount of cheese on top. Next time we'll ask for more croutons. The flatbread was delicious!! It was the thinnest, crispiest flatbread I've ever had with the right amount of toppings. The salty and savory meats with the drizzle of hot honey was perfect. For entrees my wife got the Sweet Potato Gnocchi with Shrimp and I got the Staff Meal which happened to be a Chicken and Bacon carbonara...the gnocchi was incredible. The textures and flavors were amazing. The carbonara was really good too but the gnocchi stole the show. For dessert we got a latte and a cappuccino and got the Cherry Cobbler to go. So much potential, yet so underwhelming. The ambiance is spot-on, but the food simply doesn't justify the price tag. I've never been to a place that serves a classic American farm breakfast without offering butter or preserves for the toast, and to make matters worse, the toast itself was burnt. The food overall was bland and uninspired. When one of us asked for jelly and butter, our server seemed genuinely surprised and confused by the request. He eventually brought the butter out cold and completely unspreadable. This is yet another mid-to-upscale wannabe restaurant that got the most important thing wrong. Went here for the girl dinner special on Thursday with my friend! The atmosphere is super nice and relaxing and the music was on point! They were playing my perfect girl power playlist. My friend and I shared the $15 girl dinner which came with a petite charcuterie, a Caesar salad and truffle fries. We also added a "grandmas flatbread" since it was happy hour as well. The flatbread was definitely the most disappointing. It was the thinnest flatbread I've ever had in my entire life. The ZUCCHINI FRIES - green goddess dressing were a bit of a surprise as I did not expect them to look like potato fries! I recently went to Boca with a couple of girlfriends for our monthly brunch date. It was my first time visiting this restaurant, which is located in a very nice plaza in Lake Mary. They have a trendy outdoor seating area, and the interior is just as nice. We all ordered different dishes, and the food was tasty, but my favorite part besides spending time with my gal pals, was definitely the coffee experience. The coffee came out in a French press along with a small hourglass timer. The server flipped it over, and once the sand ran out, it was time to press and pour your coffee. Street parking can be limited during peak times, but there is plenty of parking available in nearby lots. Food * Corn fritters: Very good and a great shareable appetizer. They're cheesier and spicier than expected, which is worth noting. * Brie and apple flatbread: Decent, but slightly underwhelming. I'd order it again, though the apple served appeared to differ from what was listed on the menu. However, it was a nice surprise that they made it in a heart shape for us considering it was almost Valentine's Day. * OMG Burger: Excellent -- juicy, flavorful, and the clear standout. The fries were a bit plain, so upgrading to truffle fries is a good move. * Drinks: The Cardigan was flavorful and unique, especially fitting for fall. The Hibiscus Nojito was refreshing and not too sweet, though a little pricey for a mocktail. Service The hostess was friendly and greeted us right away. It wasn't mentioned until after we were seated that happy hour wasn't offered in the main dining area, which would have been helpful to know earlier. Service overall was fine, though there were some gaps in menu knowledge and check-ins, and one dish wasn't prepared exactly as described. We also didn't receive a manager visit during the meal. Final Thoughts Overall, I would technically give our experience 3.5 stars, our first visit to Boca wasn't a bad experience, and I'd return -- especially for happy hour or their brunch as the prices for dinner were pretty high and did not seem to align with the quality of food you get. I have visited the location in winter park so I thought I would give this location a try. So glad to have a new place in Lake Mary! The inside is beautiful and very welcoming. We received decent service. Our waiter was very sweet however, there was a language barrier with ordering and asking questions. I tried the spicy pineapple mocktail and it was very peppery, not my favorite. The basil lemonade was very good. I had the old man egg platter which came with sausage, bacon, toast, eggs and potatoes. I can tell everything is super fresh and locally sourced. They seem to make most of their ingredients from scratch and the food certainly tastes like it. I really enjoyed the food but it did take almost 30 minutes to come out. What an amazing experience. We went for brunch on a Saturday around noon and didn't have a reservation but we're sat right away. It was nice outside so we opted for an outdoor table in the shade with an umbrella. I got the unlimited mimosas and what I loved is they serve you a glass of champagne and the juice on the side so you can put as much as you want in it. When switched juices the server brought me a new glass, our server Genny (pronounced Henny) was very attentive and I didn't even have to ask for my next mimosa refill. It is $29 for the unlimited mimosas but they made sure to provide great and attentive service. We ordered the corn fritters as an appetizer and OMG they didn't disappoint. The inside was so cheesy and gooey. The biscuit and gravy was very good and came with an egg on top. The chicken and waffles was HUGE and the waffles were sweet. The cubano had a nice crisp on the bread. My husband got the Bloody Mary spicy and could have had more spice. Overall this was an amazing experience. Good food, good service, and good atmosphere. We grabbed the brussel sprouts (I wished they were actually tossed in the vinaigrette versus just on the side), lobster wontons (the sauce was a little tangy but the actual dish was great), and the seafood scampi (loved this overall). Next, we got into the French toast which included fresh fruit and a delicious maple citrus syrup and last, but not least we just got a traditional breakfast which included bacon, sausage, hash potato pieces, toast, and scrambled eggs if I had to critique anything- I would say maybe having a choice of what type of eggs you want versus just giving us scrambled eggs would've been better.
