This was my first time at this location for a DJ event on Saturday night. They really did an outstanding job with the decor, layout, patio, etc. While parking is a little bit scarce, I was able to snag a spot up front luckily. Our initial impression was very positive. Clearly a lot of thought went into the build-out of this former feed store. But if the best thing about a restaurant is how it looks, it's doubtful this place can survive. The service was atrocious. Our waitress was pleasant enough while taking our orders. Which was the last time we saw her for the duration of our hour-long meal in a less than half full restaurant. We asked questions as first-timers; she said she could and would accommodate us; then she disappeared without ever coming back. Truly an unsolved mystery. The food was ok. The portions were fair. If only we had a server available for silverware; a second round of drinks; and dessert. Disappointed to experience such a lousy evening in a place that with just a little effort could be so much better. Ace Cafe is a new restaurant in Sanford opening in November 2025. The place is in a great location and I have been wanting to go for dinner but with the holidays wasn't able unable to until just a few days ago. First everyone I know that has gone had nothing but good words about Ace, even the reviews have been good. Unfortunately for me I didn't feel the same excitement. When my wife and I went on a Saturday, January 2026 around 3pm, there was only a few people inside eating. We both felt we were ignored by the seating staff and didn't really feel welcomed. It was about 5 minutes until a waitress came to our table and took our drink order. Maybe it was the time of day, between meals but again for being slow it took awhile to get some attention. Our waitress appeared new to the job and was unable to answer some basic questions we had about the menu, but was nice and polite. My wife and I both had the Fish and Chips, which was recommended by some friend and it was a little pricey but good. Actually the fries were fantastic and plentiful. The fish was about the same as others we tried at other places. One note the man who brought out the meals was real nice and excited about our choices. I liked the old building but it seemed to lack a cozy atmosphere and needed additional decorating. Overall the meal was good, just a little pricey and management could work with the hostess and other employees on friendliness but besides that we had a good meal and probably return in the future. read more

Great atmosphere and vibe. With two bars inside, a private room and a stage for live music there's a nice variety of places to sit and things to enjoy. I ate the burger and it was delicious, but the fries were less than desirable. You could tell they were originally frozen and they up charge for Parmesan garlic was over $3 and all they did was sprinkle some Parmesan on them and a little cilantro. Not very good. I loved the former downtown Orlando location so I was beyond excited to attend an event and visit the new Sanford location and it did not disappoint one bit! The atmosphere is amazing, We arrived for a ticketed event for DJ Magic Mike's birthday and the crowd, food, drinks and service were all top notch. Our bartender Ricky was personable,fun and great at mixing drinks!! The crowd was diverse yet everyone was enjoying the night in harmony -from the dance floor to the restrooms it was laughs and like hanging with an entire bar filled with your friends!! It was very chill and safe!!The sound and lights were the best I've heard . Parking seemed tight when we arrived but we got a great spot right up close! I would return again and again! Wanted to love it, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. Cool spot, but the food/service was mediocre at best. Came from brunch, it took a 40 mins to get our 3 beignets & a full hour to get our 4 entrees. Food was cold when it arrived, really not sure how that's possible after waiting an hour for it lol. Came in for the first time to this location after loving the Orlando one for years before they closed. Service was okay, but could have been better. There was a large amount of people inside so we expected a decent wait on the food, that ended up being an hour ( ordered before a soccer match , and didn't receive food until after half time which went over. ) After a long wait you'd expect to at least have a well cooked hot or at least warm meal, but the meals we got were room temp, with the chicken in the biscuits and gravy being full room temp cooled. Facility itself has a really nice vibe and the decor is perfect, but at a place you go for a meal, the food and service should take some priority. 2/5 read more

Wow, Ace Café has really opened with a bang. A few weeks back we stopped in for the grand opening which was an awesome party filled with classic motorcycles, live music, free merchandise/food/and drinks; what more could one ask for on a beautiful Florida afternoon? Today we stopped back in to support their Toy Drive, I have to say Sean, his team, and sponsors put on an exceptional event. Supporters brought in donations that exceeded what the Ace Café Team expected, which was great. The Ace Café team needed to reevaluate the donation layout to make additional room for everything coming in; what a way to support a toy drive! The event started at 2pm and went until 9pm. Some of the best local bands from the area played including The New Collective, Razors Edge, Papa Wheelee, Jette County Dragsters, and Paradoxxx. Each band played near an hour set with a short break in between to allow for setup of the next band. The musicians and sound team were on point, good job everybody. While enjoying the event we ordered several Yuengling black and tan's ($7) and of course some 16oz PBR's ($4.50) because why not? We also got the fish and chips platter which was perfect for the occasion ($21). The tempura battered fish was delicious and I love the big steak fries especially when they are freshly made. Our order was out in 10-minutes which is amazing especially when staff are taking care of several hundred people in a crazy rock-n-roll environment. Staff were super friendly and attentive. They also kept the restaurant and restrooms clean the duration of the event, great job Ace Team! Ace Café has a great thing going and I hope they keep the fun-train going. We look forward to supporting them at the next event like this one, a bike night, or for just a nice dinner out. Ace Cafe is a new restaurant in Sanford. The cater to everything automotive and motorcycle. Have weekly car and motorcycle events. Great place to come to hang out eat and shop. They have a amazing shopping area with lots of Ace Cafe t-shirts The shop also features other local artists and sellers. Looking forward to grabbing a bite here soon. Recently went for lunch at Ace Cafe... just opened in Sanford and we wanted to see what the buzz was all about... The space is awesome! I love that they kept elements of the original building. The space is huge! And there's a private room you can rent for a party. Clean and tabled are well spaced out, in fact they can prob fit so many more tables, personally enjoyed not being on top of someone while eating. Menu could afford to be expanded a bit to make it more versatile but still plenty to choose from. The service is great. Servers are friendly and attentive. Food was good... and the portions are enormous. The wings are fantastic! Love that you get the whole wing! They were big and juicy!! The Korean chicken sandwich was good however it was way too much sauce on it in my opinion. I felt like I was eating sauce with a side of chicken. Would def get the sauce on the side next time. Chicken and waffles slapped! They were sweet and savory and honestly enough for 2 people to share. I would def go back and looking forward to seeing how the menu evolves over time. read more

Really nice establishment! This was my first visit to Ace café Sanford. I had visited the Orlando location before it closed down. We were greeted upon walking in and had a seat at the bar. The bartender made our drinks promptly. We ordered a bacon cheddar Smashburger with fries and upgraded them to Parmesan fries. The burger itself was delicious. The french fries did not taste very good and not worth the up charge for Parmesan. A burger and fries is $20. Price seems a little high for what you get. I would return for drinks. I'm so happy to have the Ace Cafe back! Not only is it an amazing place to gather for car and motorcycle enthusiasts, but they have an incredible menu! I grabbed a rev-it-up and go smash burger on my last visit and the combination of the pimento cheese with the onion jam and egg was really a culinary masterpiece. We've been waiting patiently for this location of Ace Cafe to open. We enjoyed the downtown location, however, this space, food, drinks and events are right up our alley. If you enjoy cars, motorcycles, music, good food, you will love this venue. It caters to everyone with a restaurant, bar, music venue and car/bike event calendar. The atmosphere is truly vintage in an old restored warehouse. I enjoyed it as a retail store before. Staff is phenomenal and attentive. Car and bike events have been well attended, organized and very fun! Food is geared towards English style with amazing fish and chips (did I mention the chips? You HAVE to try them). Smash burger is as good as it gets, wedge salad for us veggie eaters is huge and definitely qualifies as a meal with an egg and real bacon. Pimento cheese app is great to share. Finally made it to Ace Cafe in Sanford tonight so would love to give a rundown. Atmosphere - Authentic. That's the best way I can give to describe this. Ace feels like it's been here forever. And I don't mean they spent a year trying to get floors perfectly distressed and getting perfect period pieces of art. The restaurant moved into an old property, updated it in ways old properties should be updated, and let the beauty of the property shine. This place feels like a place that's been in a small town since before the first factory opened, and you have sat at the same table for the last 20 years. This feels like a great old building that has grown over the years through bike culture, car culture, and Sanford culture. We don't even ride bikes but we still went over by the store and bought some shirts. Food - We kept it pretty simple today. Smash burger with fries and a key lime pie. Quality food, cooked well, and provided quickly. The burger was everything a burger should be with a great special sauce, wonderful smashed on a nicely toasted bun. The fries were cooked to perfection, and the key lime pie was a fantastic way to end. A lot of newer restaurants feel like the same menu, with ingredients from the same purveyor as the guy up the road. This was just simply good, and I'm excited to try out some of the other dishes, especially the ribs. Staff - Logically I know this place has only been open a few weeks. I also know that tonight was PACKED, likely one of if not the busiest night since opening. But you would have never known. We had a pretty large table and waited less than the provided time, and even though in my mind I know this group has been working together only a few weeks they worked like a week oiled machine. The bartenders did the things a bartender should do, the service was fantastic and we were checked on and chatted to even with other servers. The group feels like they've been working together for years. Final thoughts? I'll be honest, I didn't like Ace Cafe Orlando. The food tasted like every other restaurant but cost more, the service always felt like it was phoned in, and the atmosphere just felt too sterile and static. When I first heard Ace was coming to Sanford I didn't have much hope. But tonight we were blown away. This feels like it's own thing. Not sure we will ever go back. Our second time today was our next chance. First time our waitress did not even know we were her table and after 20 minutes we had to flag someone down to ask if we could get served. Today took the cake! The staff was literally making fun of us after we cashed out. We ordered the wings. DON'T. Undercooked (to the point you see pink on inside) and not tossed (even tho they say that). We showed our waitress how bad they were and she took them back to show the chef (if you can call them that. I could make it better in my air fryer), and Then we heard nothing. We paid, and as my friend was leaving the bathroom she literally heard the kitchen staff and our waitress talking smack about us. Maybe we wouldn't complain if you knew how to COOK food. Get different jobs. Shame on management for hiring awful people. I'm telling all of my friends in the area to not go there. AWFUL. And over priced. read more

Everyone enjoyed the ambience and food. Unfortunately I got very sick shortly after returning home. I tried to call, but there is no numbers listed on their site. I even went on their Facebook page. There is no way to call to alert them that they may have been an issue. I hope they see this review and correct the problem. Updated review. I was able to find the number and did make contact with the manager who was very pleasant and assured me that he had checked everything in the kitchen, which was found to be OK. Since I was the only member of the party to actually get sick. It is possible that it was a personal bug and not related to the food. Everyone did remark how wonderful the place was and it would be wrong of me to review it otherwise. I am changing my review to five star because I do look forward to going back there. It is a pretty incredible place. Hopefully my initial review will not discourage people from trying this new addition to Sanford. read more

Started with the pimento cheese with pickled cucumbers and it was delicious. The fish and chips was really good. Crispy fish. Riding home i was still thinking about the fries. Perfectly simple and perfectly salted. Our server Alexis was attentive and kind. The location is amazing. I might be biased because I'm from Sanford but they couldn't have picked a better small town to open this in. Liked it so much we bought a tshirt. Best wishes for their success. read more
