As happy as I was about the delicious food, I was very sad that happy hour was over at 7 pm. When you enter, the first thing you see is the bar, which is where happy hour occurs. There were two incredible bartenders who were working tirelessly to get everyone's food AND drink orders. It was so impressive. There are many options with gluten-free modifications. The montaditos have meat on bread, which can be subbed for meat on cucumber slices (I had zero faith at first, and they turned out phenomenally). The patatas bravas are gluten-free but I'm not sure about whether the fryer is GF (not a factor for me). The pintxos are all GF. The servers are pretty knowledgeable, but it is best to check with a manager. Bulla gets crowded so make sure to get there early and snag a spot. Will absolutely be back. I met my friends at Bulla for brunch on a Saturday. We had a baby with us, and they were very accommodating with a high chair and plenty of stroller room. Our server was nice, but he talked a little too much. He spent about 10 minutes giving us a review of the menu. I've had him before and he did the same thing. While appreciated, it makes the experience a little uncomfortable. He also had some difficulty splitting our checks. We ordered the pan con tomate, Patatas Bravas, the blueberry and ricotta pancakes and the breakfast paella. All of which were good. We gave Bulla a try since it's highly rated on Yelp and they did not disappoint! We got the avocado margarita mocktail and a Spanish lager and they were both light and refreshing on a hot day! For food, we got the Bulla burger and Iberian pork bowl. They were plated beautifully and both tasted fresh and flavorful. My only comment is that I wish the pork had some sauce on it, that would've taken the flavor profile to the next level! Wow! Really impressed with this place. Park in back, entrance is right on the main corner. I came here for the Bite30 menu. Service was absolutely amazing. Everything was explained extremely well and throughout the entire meal it felt like if I needed something someone would be there. I sat at the hightops near the bar. Comfortable, casual, ready to eat. The course started with a sangria: Red, white, or beer. Wait, what... beer? Okay, that's new to me. New enough to not even think of the others....and, it worked. The beer was more of a light aftertaste. Nothing like I would have imagined. I started with the TOMATILLO HUMMUS - Tomatillo salsa, jalapeño, fried chickpeas, coca slices. We were driving around Winter Park around noon on a Saturday and passed by Bulla Gastrobar and decided to stop in. Luckily, it looked like the brunch crowd was thinning out so we were able to get a table without a reservation. Bulla serves tapas style meaning you should probably get at least two items if you are not sharing with the table. Looking at the menu, my husband and I both realized that if you are going to get three items each, it really was the best value to get the Brunch Prix Fixe for $32 although it did seem like a lot of food. In hindsight, we probably should have shared one Brunch Prix Fixe and then got one or two other items as I ended up taking food home. There is also a Bottomless Sangrias and Mimosas for $23 but we aren't big drinkers. I did get a hot tea though. For the first course, I ordered the Potato Tortilla and my husband ordered the Sopa de Garbanzo Frita. As soon as they arrived, I realized it was going to be too much food because each one was huge. My potatoes were very thinly sliced and soft and delicious, especially with a swipe of the garlic aioli. My husband liked his chickpea soup but did say it was a little spicy. It also comes with a poached egg in the soup. That was another thing - most of the Prix Fixe items, especially the second course, come with either fried or poached egg and I only eat scrambled which made it hard to choose the next course. I got the Chicken and Waffles which came with three thin breaded chicken fillets sandwiched between super fluffy waffle quarters, served with a rosemary maple syrup. It was all so good, that you could eat the chicken and the waffles without the syrup if you wanted but I used the syrup for the herby flavor. I took home two of the waffle quarters and one piece of chicken for a waffle sandwich at home. My husband's braised pork hash was also really good,and came with another poached egg. For the final sweets course, we both ordered the Hazelnut Waffles (yes, yes, I know, I ordered two waffle dishes in a row). These were so yummy, just slathered with Nutella, whipped white chocolate cream, and chocolate chips. All in all, a great brunch! read more

I've been here a handful of times (for both dinner and brunch), but I've gotta say that coming for brunch is my favorite! This review is specifically about their brunch prix fixe menu and bottomless mimosas. But the whole vibe of this place is giving Spanish tapas style dining. The brunch prix fixe menu comes with 3 courses and is absolutely worth the $32! I was so full by the end of it. And had food to take home too. The smoked salmon montaditos were my fav, but the Benedict and flan de coco definitely deserve honorable mentions. And then to top it off the bottomless mimosas and sangrias are only $23/person (one mimosa is like $12 so it's super worth it). At first the mimosas were rolling out kind of slowly, but then our server picked up the vibe that we were here to DRINK so he kept serving up the mimosas and sangrias at our pace :) I love that you can alternate between mimosas and sangrias instead of just sticking to one or the other. read more

I came to Bulla for the brunch and unlimited mimosas! Me and group of friends had a reservation on Saturday to celebrate a birthday! Upon walking in, it was very lively. Even though it was busy, we were promptly sat. Our server was super sweet and immediately got us drinks and accommodated part of our party arriving late. The first order was brought out fast. We got the croquettes and they were amazing. The pulled pork and huevous rancheros were also really good. For the last course, they brought out a birthday surprise of churros for my friend. We had a 7:30 reservation on a Saturday and were seated immediately. I started with the bougie Palmer, which was a little lemony for my liking. My husband typically drinks modelo or corona, which they did not have on their menu so he got a Stella and then tried the 1906 reserva especial. Now for food, we ordered the tuna tartare, truffle carbonara with shrimp, and montaditos (the servers recommendation). We loved the tuna tartare, it was super fresh and the sesame vinaigrette really made it flavorful. One con was that it came with limited chips and we had to finish eating it with the spoon. For the carbonara with shrimp, the shrimp was perfectly charred and the dish was great. The montaditos was our least favorite and would not order again; the brisket was dry and the concept on the bread was strange- it was hard to bite it but also too big to eat it in one bite. Lastly we got the cheesecake which was a creamy passionfruit cheesecake. The passionfruit was a little overpowering, but other than that it was good if you like passionfruit. The tortilla was by far our favorite, I haven't had one this good since my vacations in Spain, I would go back just for this, maybe 2 of them. The garlic shrimp was good but not great. The papayas bravas were good too with flavor but not overpowering spice. The paella was good, it was the slightly crunchy rice style which I'm not a huge fan of, but the seafood was perfect and the flavor was good. The pasta as good too with a perfectly poached egg. The mushroom foam that comes with the grilled steak should be a whole dip served with the truffled potatoes that come with it. My friend even ordered one after me she wasn't in love with the white sangria too sweet. The ham croquetas I loved. Our first experience at Bulla Gastrobar was fantastic from start to finish. Nicole did an amazing job walking us through the menu and helping us decide on a tapas-style experience. Every recommendation was spot on. We shared the chicken pintxos, potato tortilla, and Margherita pizza, and everything was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. The service was prompt, attentive, and made the whole evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. My wife really enjoyed the Albariño white wine, and my Spanish Old Fashioned was excellent. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and drinks here. We wrapped up the night with the dulce de leche cheesecake and mascarpone ice cream, and honestly, it was to die for. I wanted a quiet, late night spot to grab an Old Fashioned and small bites, so I made my way over to Bulla. We arrived a little after 10pm on a Saturday night and sat at the bar, which is my favorite spot to hang out at Bulla. The servers and bartenders are always friendly and give helpful recommendations. The vibe was really chill. THE GOODS: 1) Ham Croquettes (served with a fig jelly)- These croquettas are served as fried balls, rather than the traditional little fried logs. The fried balls were pretty good. I'm from Miami, so I guess that makes me a little pickier. It is made with Serrano ham. I don't know if it's a cheese or béchamel sauce, but something dulls down the flavor of the ham a bit. it was perfectly deep fried- not greasy at all. The highlight of the dish is the fig jelly. I could eat this with ANYTHING. I believe the order came with 6 decently sized fried croquettes, which seemed like a good portion for $10 these days. 2) Patatas Bravas (crispy potato cubes with a spicy brava sauce and aioli)- The pieces of potato are ideally-roasted. Nice and crispy, like they promised. If you enjoy the spicy brava sauce, this will be a great dish for you- there's a lot of it. It was a bit too spicy for my mom. I enjoyed the pieces that weren't drenched in the sauce. I would've loved a little more aioli. But overall, tasty. 3) Montaditos (Brisket, tomato marmalade, guindilla, tetilla cheese)- this is served on 4 small toasted baguette slices. This was $15.50, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Each piece comes with a decent amount of brisket on it. I am a fan of tomato marmalade, which adds a superrr slightly sweet flavor to the overall bite. It was yummy. Wasn't the best tapa I've had, but it was my favorite of the 3. 4) Old Fashioned (with Maker's Mark)- super smooth. I didn't get the fancy Old Fashioned on the menu because our bartender told us it was a bit on the sweeter side, which I wasn't in the mood for (but they make a great, sweeter Old Fashioned at Polite Pig in Disney Springs, with their homemade sweet tea simple syrup). Overall, Bulla is a dependable spot with well-made drinks and good company. The menu is diverse, making it easy for everyone to find something they like. I definitely want to go back and take advantage of their happy hour- but I was happy to be there at night when it was quieter and less crazy. Would definitely go back. read more

Walking in, we were expecting an elevated experience, and the interior certainly set that tone--elegant and beautifully decorated. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the ambiance. Our server had a noticeably poor attitude throughout the meal. When I ordered my beer, she actually corrected the way I pronounced the brand--ironically, the pronunciation I used is exactly how it's said in Spain, where I lived for 3.5 years. It felt unnecessary and added to the overall awkwardness. Throughout the meal, instead of checking in with a simple "How is everything?" she made odd assumptions about our dishes. She repeatedly commented, "Oh, you must be enjoying that--it's a really good dish," even when we hadn't started eating yet. At one point, my husband had taken our child to the restroom and the plate was completely untouched, yet she made the same comment again. It created an uncomfortable and overly presumptive tone. As for the food: having lived in Spain and being familiar with both Catalunya and the Balearic Islands, we were hoping for tapas that captured some of that authentic quality. Compared to some tapas spots we've tried recently in Florida, this was better--but still not what we expected based on previous reviews. We were hoping for something closer to what you'd find in Spain, and the dishes didn't quite reach that standard. The quality also didn't feel aligned with the elevated prices, which was disappointing. If we were craving tapas and didn't feel like cooking, would we return? Maybe--if someone invited us. Bulla was an absolute great experience. I booked a semi-private room to host about 16-21 people for my mother's 59th birthday. While I will say, explanation on menus and details were a bit confusing during the booking process, the overall experience onsite was phenomenal. Ryan, our server, was chefs kiss. Clear on expectations, attentive to all guest, and was to par with our meals. While we had a little bit of a delay on some to the steaks, they made sure to take care of our table. The manger overseeing the room with Ryan ensured that we were all addressed and taken care of noting the delay in our food, he handle it with poise and care and without anyone asking - through we really didn't want to be a pest, there was a lot of us. This was just an overall disappointing experience. I had heard good things about Bulla, but it didn't live up to expectations. First, I sat at a bar high top table. There was not a dedicated waiter for the area. My server, while extremely nice, had to service three completely different areas. Things took forever. My waiter said, "just wave somebody down if you need help." This is never ok. Despite not wanting to do this, I had to do it to get my first service 10 minutes after being seated, to remind them of my drink, and to ask for the bill after a couple of attenpts. Second, my food came out lukewarm. I don't send back food. Third, the churros were not hot at all. They were overcooked. To be a high end Spanish restaurant and not get these right is a real disservice. I wish the experience would have been better. Outside of the churros, the food taste was good, but it was not enjoyable because of the temperature. Clearly it sat waiting. as I did throughout my time at the restaurant. As much as I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant, especially because of two very nice but obviously slammed waiters, It was really bad. read more

Ambiance is very beautiful, lots of fancy glasswork and warm woods. A nice open kitchen concept. A big, fancy bar right in the middle. It feels good. Service was ok this trip. A little slow, and the guy was kind of spacey, but we got through, and he was nice enough, so I won't knock any points. Food was out of this world good. We came specifically for brunch, and there were some great things on the menu, as well as a brunchified paella. Cons: Just the service, like I mentioned before, but it didn't really diminish our experience, though. Tips: Get the brunch paella. I know it sounds gimmicky, but it is actually very good.
