OMG! Had this on our list to try for a while after they were voted best Italian by Orlando Weekly. It was a chilly night, so we figured it would be perfect. We were so impressed. I will always rave about Il Pescatore. We haven't been so often lately but there was a time where we were here weekly. There was a week where I had been 3 separate times and it's amazing every time. I tend to be a creature of habit when I eat here, we always go for the calamari and mushrooms. I always go for the salad with ranch. I've had a pizza here, phenomenal. I've had their red sauce, it's great. I've had their Alfredo, that too is great. My favorite is the carbonara, add mushrooms and olives. So creamy, and fresh because it's always hot. We have our favorites server wise and they are all always willing to deal with the crazy that our tables can be. I will always have a special place in my heart for Il Pescatore. Easy solid four or more. What an enjoyable well established traditional family-owned Italian restaurant. One of our old favorites for occasions and such, special affairs, over Italian fare. It's getting harder and harder to find experiences like this, because it's the place, the space, the exemplary hospitality that makes places like this, this. Gone are the likes of Silvano's and Palma Maria; horses in the same race. In fact, that exemplary hospitality has sort of made them somewhat of a tradition for us. I've always passed by this place whenever I'm in the area, but I finally had the chance to try the food and it was a nice home-y experience. So many of my friends have been telling me for years to try Il Pescatore and when I tell you I've been hooked ever since my first visit. The interior is filled with tchotchkes galore filling the walls and above, cozy and tacky simultaneously. I've gone for lunch and dinner, both times have had servers eagerly waiting to take quick orders. All main entrees come with a side salad, a bread basket and a side of salad. I ordered the Veal Piccata which is truly heavenly. One of the best, if not my favorite. Usually I ask for the side of pasta to be under the entree, but this most recent time I asked for it on the side (I prefer it underneath, so will do that moving forward). I came with a friend to eat lunch. It's a family oriented Italian place. Staff is always super nice! It was pouring rain outside snd the server sat us down and we ordered what we most desired. I was in the mood for something warm so I ordered the lentil soup and pasta. My friend ordered a pizza and salad with a glad of wine. The tablecloths were checkered red, there were empty chianti bottles everywhere, and a house wine on the menu. I had a hankering for baked ziti and boy did they deliver. Bustling local Italian restaurant! We had to wait, but there were quite a few parties waiting, and they moved through them quickly. The staff were all so nice. Saw several to-go orders picked up while waiting, which is always a good sign for locals. The décor was the best kind of tacky, and the menu was a wide range of Italian style. We asked about the carbonara, but it was also served in a white cream sauce and that was a bridge too far for our tastes. I really liked the marsala sauce and the penne all romana. It's an old school, no frills place-I loved the paper Italy themed placemat and the red plastic Coke tumblers. Took me back to the good old days! The bruschetta was some of the best I've ever had. Felt like there was a lot of breadcrumbs in the meatball recipe. Pasta was a perfect aldente. The tomato sauce is a 7.5 out of 10 in my opinion. We went with friends (at their recommendation) to Il Pescatore for dinner one night, and we weren't disappointed. It's this little authentic Italian restaurant near the Orlando Executive Airport and Fashion Square Mall (or what's left of it). It's very cozy inside, and thankfully we were seated right away. There are two separate dining rooms. I ordered the affordable house wine to start. Their food menu is pretty extensive. There were lots of entrees I wanted to try. I went with the Tortellini Di Stefano -- tortellini pasta in a creamy sauce. When our server brought it out, he said it would be ready to eat in about 20 minutes. He wasn't kidding. That dish is baked in the oven and HOT. I couldn't wait to dive in, of course, and ended up burning my tongue...as expected. It was incredibly delicious and oh-so-creamy. Their entrees also come with a salad and garlic bread. I ordered my salad as Caesar. It was yummy. The garlic bread was just so-so, though. It needed more flavoring. I definitely want to return to Il Pescatore and bring Italian family members there when they visit. I think they'll really enjoy the food and experience. read more

I ordered the sampler with stuff shells , manicotti, lasagna and a meatball, my kids got stuffed shells, and my wife got the spinach ravioli, which she loved. The kids enjoyed their food and mine was ok. I should've gotten the chicken park or the Marsala which are both very good. I wanted to try something new. I'll go back when. I can. Food is worth it. I stopped in because I happened to drive by and notice it, if you don't look you'll miss it. I've lived in the area for two years and never seen it. The decor is reminiscent of a nonna's house and was cozy for a rainy day lunch. There was one server which was fine because it wasn't very busy but she just had a strictly business attitude. The prices are very fair. A lunch for two including appetizer was $33 before tip. We each had a sub and they were good and the cheesy bread was the best part. Il Pescatore is an unassuming restaurant nestled between Pho Hoa and Pho Vinh on Primrose. It's very cosy and quaint, giving off home-like vibes with lots of wooden surfaces and cute tchotchkes on the shelves; it feels a bit like walking into your favorite grandma's house. If you're looking for comforting Italian food, this spot might scratch that itch. Service is friendly, but may be a bit rushed if they're busier. We went on a busy night and our waitress had a very no-nonsense vibe about her as she got our order in. Everything came out in a timely manner though, so we have no complaints! Our food was ok. We got a Dinner Salad, Linguine con Vongole, a Pescatore Pizza Special, and Tiramisu for dessert. The food was very filling and portions were generous! We really appreciated the amount of clams on the pasta as there were fresh and canned clam pieces in the sauce; the white sauce was a bit bland and needed additional salt and red pepper flakes (and maybe a bit of lemon to brighten it a bit?), but I loved how garlicky it was. Next time, I think we'll opt for the red sauce instead. The pizza was also nice; there were tons of toppings generously spread everywhere. The crust was a bit doughy and they used a type of sliced sausage that we weren't too fond of texture-wise, but we liked the pizza overall, especially reheated the next day. Our main entrees were generally satisfying, but the tiramisu was disappointing. I don't think they added enough espresso/coffee because the ladyfingers were pretty dry and stale, the excess cocoa on top also made it extra dry, and we found parts of the mascapone that were frozen. As a whole, I'd recommend going elsewhere if you're craving tiramisu; but they could've just had an off batch that evening. For the most part, if you're looking for a family-style environment with good prices (especially with inflation nowadays), Il Pescatore is worth a try! read more

We stopped into Il Pescatore for lunch on a weekend. It wasn't too busy so we were quickly seated. The lunch menu has a lot of great options at very reasonable prices. I ended up choosing chicken parm since that's my go to for Italian when trying a place for the first time. My boyfriend chose manicotti, and we also ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. Meals come with salad and bread which is always nice. The mozzarella sticks and sauce were yummy and perfectly cheesy as mozzarella sticks should be. The side salad was just basic and average, but perfectly fine for something that comes included with a meal, same with the garlic bread. I really enjoyed my chicken parm. The sauce was tasty, there was plenty of cheese, and the chicken was tender. I felt the chicken breading wasn't the best flavoring I've had, but still very good and the sauce more than made up for it. My boyfriend enjoyed his manicotti also. The meal portions for lunch are of course smaller than a typical dinner portion at other spots, but it was still plenty of food, good pricing, and I had leftovers so no complaints there! I'm not the one to give a bad review but here I am... Came into this place with good expectations but was quickly disappointed. We ordered the gnocchi piamontese and manicotti which came with garlic bread and a choice of salad. Our choice of salads were ceaser and house salad, the ceaser salad was pretty okay on other hand the house salad was placed aside, it had way too much oil and the dressing was watered down. The "garlic bread", where was the garlic? The taste was odd, tasted very strong on rosemary not garlic, but the bread was soft. The gnocchi was soft but their "pink sauce" smelled like Mac and cheese, not sure why but I couldn't help but keep smelling it because why does it smell like that. Decided to take a bite and the after taste was a bit Burnt. The manicotti, the ricotta taste a little funky as if it were expired. The service was quick but you would think that after somebody asks for the check and see that the food was untouched they would ask if anything was wrong... but no that wasn't the case, no questions asked, no customer service provided, no cafe given. We literally took one bite off our plate and really tried to eat the garlic bread since we were hungry but not even hunger got us to eat the food. $36 later and I'm still hungry with a stomach ache. read more
