Black Bean Deli never disappoints. No matter what location I go to, or if I dine in or carry out, they consistently deliver delicious food at an amazing price. I usually alternate between the salad with tuna and a picadillo empanada or the garbanzo bean soup with no rice and the yuca fries. This visit was the latter. We went on Saturday evening - they weren't busy and the service was fantastic. The staff kept coming to check on us to see if we needed anything and offered to take our plates away when we were done. The restaurant was nice and clean.

Chill space, quick service. I would most recommend the empanadas. They are pulled hot and fresh at the register when you order. If you need a quick bite an icy cold Natalie's juice and oversized empanada seems pretty perfect to me.

Black bean deli--both locations--have always been very solid choices for me, for years. My most recent visit to the Orange Ave location was no different. We ordered at the counter and the wait was quick. Our food took a little longer, but we did come during prime lunch hour. There was plenty of seating. The food was delicious and consistent as always--my medianoche was delightful and my friend enjoyed her meal, a bowl, as well. I appreciate that they carry Diet Coke cans, which is a preference for me as a Diet Coke snob! The parking at this location can be a little bit tricky but there are usually spots available, even during busy times.

This was my first time going to this location and I was pleasantly surprised that they had so much seating available, I'm use to going to the 50 location and it's tiny compared to this. When we entered we placed our order at the counter and were served our food. We ordered a cafe con leche and a guava pastelito to start and both were very good. The coffee was your average cafe con leche and the guava pastelito had the perfect amount of cheese with guava and was very light. The grilled cheese Cubano was toasted perfectly and had a good amount of cheese. The croqueta sandwich had great flavor and was a little dry but I still enjoyed it. The pricing for the food/drinks is very reasonable especially for the quality of food. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Black Bean Deli is one of my go to cafes in Winter Park. I love all the plants everywhere and how delicious and affordable the food is! I ordered the media noche & two ham croquetas. Both items were so good! I love the sweet and savory tastes of both items! If you love cuban food, give it a try!

Stopped by the black bean deli for a quick lunch and I really enjoyed this spot. You order at the counter and then are given a number and your food is brought out to your table. I ordered the Havana pork bowl, my boyfriend order the Cuban sandwich, and a side of Maduros. We thankfully just beat the lunch rush when we arrived and our food came out rather quickly. The Havana bowl was huge and I ate about most of it minus the tomato's. The Cuban sandwich was huge and delicious. The Maduro side was a tower of plantains which was a nice surprise but not what I was expecting at all. We had to pack that up and bring it home. Inside was clean and typical seating with plants decorated around.

I've been wanting to find a good Cuban bakery somewhere in Orlando. Although this isn't a full throttle Cuban bakery... they do have the usual Cuban pastries here (empanadas, croquetas, etc.), and they are very decently priced and really good here! Any Cuban place that has a delicious green cilantro sauce has a place in my heart, but the fact that they also add avocado into their sauce here is amazing! My boyfriend and I came here for a quick dinner one night, and we weren't disappointed. The staff were very kind even though it was nearing closing time and were somewhat busy. We had some empanadas and croquetas as an appetizer then had the entrees that are pictured here. This is probably the best Cuban food that is in the Winter Park area. My only "complaint" is that my pork in the Havana Pork bowl was a tad bit dry (it's ok though because the magic green sauce fixes everything). It was the end of the day so maybe that's why? Next time I come, it'll be mostly for those pastries, coffee, and possibly a sandwich instead of an entree :)

Takeout from the Winter Park location: Baked Chicken Plate ($18) and the Havana Pork Plate ($18). Baked chicken had good flavor on the skin, a little on the dry side, but the green sauce balanced it out. Havana pork had great flavor and was even better with that same sauce. Both plates came with salad and plantains which were cooked to an excellent caramelization. You might get more quantity at a different Cuban restaurant but the food tastes lighter/cleaner and well-prepared here.

Black Bean Deli is basically my happy place for Orlando eats. Every bite feels like my Cuban/Colombian family's cooking got a chic little upgrade. The empanadas are rich, crispy, perfect. Iced café con leche is peak Cuban-gringo energy, and I'm here for it. Staff is always genuinely kind, and my go-to usually being a Cuban sandwich combo with rice and beans warms my little Hispanic heart every single time. Honestly, if I could breathe Black Bean Deli, I would.

Used to be good, not anymore. Worst Cuban sandwich ever. I would take a Publix or 7/11 Cuban sandwich over this any day. It's a ham sandwich with a paper thin slice of processed pork. All you taste is ham and mustard. They don't even make them on location; they are pre-made at another facility and shipped to the restaurants to heat and serve. The black beans container was half white rice and half dried up bean soup; it did not taste terrible. If you remember how good they were a decade ago when they were located on 17/92 don't go back and ruin the memory. Go to any bodega if you want a good one for half the cost. And Texas Pete hot sauce, really?

I can't believe it's taken me this long to check out Black Bean Deli for lunch, but I made it! The outdoor seating was perfect for the day we chose, but the inside seating looked nice and casual as well. I had the Cuban sandwich, and it was both a great size and full of flavor! It was just what I wanted out of this classic sandwich, and I'm a sucker for anything with mustard and pickles. My colleagues enjoyed a few different bowls, and everyone left full and happy. Ordering was quick and efficient, and this made for a perfect lunch spot during the work week.

I'm slightly obsessed with BBD. I've been coming for years since their original location and I even frequented the colonial location when it opened but for some reason I am now in my BBD era. It's a healthy option that has lots of flavor and is fairly easy/fast to get. My fav is getting the baked chicken platter with white rice (the yellow rice has dyes in it), sweet plantains & add fried yuca. I opt out of the black beans and salad. My son loves that they have Natalie's lemonade and Martinelli's apple juice available, since we don't drink soda. I love their sweet tea and think it's one of the best in town. The garlic aioli sauce that comes with the meal is to die for. I always end up paying for another side of it. This place is great for meeting a friend, taking your kids or family out to eat, big groups, and fast meals. I often order to go. The interior is really nice and the staff are just lovely. They are all very friendly and take good care of you and the restaurant. We love BBD!

I was really excited to dine at Black Bean since I haven't been there since 2019. I went for dinner around 6:30 and I was surprised at how empty it was. We ordered a white-meat chicken salad, chicken soup, plantains and a rice bowl. The food was fine. It definitely wasn't as good as I remember it being. The chicken in my salad was a little dry and the rice in the bowl tasted like it had been sitting out for a few hours. It was also really expensive. By the time we tipped, it was $54, which I feel is expensive for a QSR with smaller portions. They were very nice, though. I'm on crutches and they held the door for me on my way out. I'd definitely go back but the quality is not as good as it once was.

Today, though, I noticed them selling Japanese Wagyu as: Sake Infused Dry Aged A9 Kobe Strip. This is a very scammy way of selling a product. First, meat is graded broadly on three scales - USDA (choice, prime), BMS (beef marbling scale - common in Aus), and the Japanese grading scale. (A1-A5, with most high end steaks being A4 or the gold standard, A5). https://meatnbone.com/blogs/the-clever-cleaver/meat-beef-grading-system-understanding A9 doesn't exist. A BMS 9 could be an A5. But this is mislabeled. They have also used the term A11 in their instagram account. Maybe they are confusing BMS for A-scale, or maybe they are intentionally trying to make their product seem better than competitors. Furthermore, not all Japanese Wagyu is Kobe beef. Kobe beef refers to Tajima cattle raised in Hyogo Japan. The export of this beef is highly regulated to only certain restaurants and purveyors, who will display a seal and certificate certifying the origin of the beef. It is rare, expensive, and most importantly, Bush Brothers (Local Butcher's wholesale purveyor) is not certified to sell, nor do they use in any way, the term Kobe Beef. So it is incredibly likely that this product is mislabeled. This isn't illegal (Kobe beef doesn't have a TM in the US), but it is disingenuous. https://www.kobe-niku.jp/en/contents/certification/index.html https://instagram.com/bushbros Next, "sake infused"is incredibly confusing. Is it referring to the myth that Kobe cattle are massaged with sake? Is it referred to the use of koji (fermented cooked rice) which is often used as an aging accelerant? Or did they really take Japanese Wagyu and infuse (inject, soak?) with sake? And why on earth would you do that!? It would be like making sangria with a bottle of DRC. This product is likely a A5 strip loin (which Bush Bros. does carry) that has been aged. Market price would be somewhere around $175-185/lb. (An unaged cut would be around $150/lb.) When I asked for more information on the most expensive cut of meat in their shop, I was treated with disdain and a dismissive attitude. Neither member of the staff could answer my questions other than to say "It's the highest grade of Kobe beef." To charge $215 dollars for a grade that doesn't exist, for a steak that isn't from Kobe, with an aging method that seems dubious at best, is disingenuous and plays on a lack of consumer knowledge. If The Local Butcher themselves don't know the differences here, they shouldn't sell this product. If they do, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Once you walk in there's a bakery section for all the desserts and baked goods they sell, which really helps with deciding on desserts. Service was pretty fast! The waitress we had was very nice, and she kept checking up on us throughout the meal. I really loved the loaded potato cakes! It's essentially thick hash browns cut into chunks and fried, with all the loaded potato ingredients on top! It was very filling and great for sharing. For the sandwiches, they're pretty good too. If you like Reuben, then their sandwiches are really good! The beef dip one was also super good! It includes a French onion soup dip that you can dip the sandwich into. The sandwich is a bit soggy from all the moisture from the beef and French onion soup, but if you're okay with that, you should be able to enjoy it like I did! The banana dream cake was super good too. Got it to go since the food was very filling but we wanted to try a cake. It wasn't too sweet and the small chocolate chips is a good combo with the banana.

This is located in a shopping area so it's nice that there is a parking lot to park in. It is diner style. Their spread of sides, meats and desserts is impressive! I had a turkey blt, French onion soup and chocolate layer cake. The French onion soup hit the spot on a cold day and tasted amazing. I'm a fan of soup in a little crock and it was chef's kiss! I tasted my friend's matzo ball soup and will definitely be getting that next time! The chocolate layer cake was so rich and delicious I ordered milk to drink with it!

She greeted me warmly as usual. Since I used to live in the Chicago-South Bend, IN area, I provided her a little garden flag from the Pierogi Festival I would attend when I was up in that area. She hung it proudly in her deli and thanked me for the gift. I thanked her for bringing authentic Polish food back into my life! I purchased the Polish kielbasa sausage again as well as the Polish ham. Both were exceptional the last time I purchased them. This time, I added frozen pierogies-one made with cheese and the other with sauerkraut. It reminded me of the pierogies my mom used to make, and I cannot wait to serve them for the holidays. I then asked Monica if she had any golabki (stuffed cabbage). She said, "I just made some fresh this morning." I purchased a package of three. I had two of them later that evening and they brought back great memories of my past. They were as good as babcia (grandmother) used to make! It's always fun and entertaining to stop in here and enjoy a laugh with Monica. If you want authentic Polish supplies, this is the place to go!

Acknowledging Outstanding Service at Antonio's!!…read more Antonio's has always been a place I enjoy, but the people truly make the experience special. I recently heard that Tim, the manager, is leaving, and I wanted to take a moment to recognize what an incredible job he has done. Tim consistently demonstrated outstanding customer service--welcoming, attentive, and genuinely committed to making every guest feel valued. His leadership set the tone for a warm, professional, and friendly environment that kept customers coming back. I also want to highlight Quentin, who has been an amazing server every time I've visited. Quentin is attentive, kind, and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience. It's rare to find service that is both efficient and genuinely caring, and Quentin delivers that every time. Antonio's is more than just great food--it's the experience created by people who care. Thank you for maintaining such a high standard of service and hospitality.

Loved seeing all the items the offer in the market (which was quite expansive). I was astonished to see fresh vegetables and ground beef along with Italian cold cuts and salads to-go. Never mind the huge array of sauces, pickled items, and desserts. I can't believe I haven't been by before. Antonio's is truly a hidden Italian gem in the area. I've been going to D'amico's in Oviedo but Antonio's is an amazing (more) in the city market. My friends and I rolled our full bellies down to the bakery from the upstairs restaurant and got a cannoli, Oreo cheesecake, and tiramisu to-go! Can't wait to check out the cafe downstairs next time.
