We came here to try it out as I kept hearing such great things about this place. We both got cheeseburgers but my husband got the onion rings with his and I got the fries. The burgers were amazing, juicy and full of flavor. The onion rings were crisp, light and there was a lot of them. Same with the fries, they were delicious! There is covered outdoor seating as well as indoor seating in the a/c. This place sits right across from a lake so the view is beautiful. The staff here was very friendly and eager to help since it was our first time here. We will be back for sure! This is a true hidden gem! read more

Your typical roadside burger joint that offers everything you won't get at Macdonald's or Burger King. Nice enough weather to sit outside. Staff were friendly and helpful. Burger choices numerous, prepared exactly how you request it be cooked, with your choice of cheese. Everything freshly prepared. I highly recommend the Bison Burger. Stopped for the first time this past week and the outside looks cool and old school but the food, we ordered the Burger Station burger and I guess it you have a big mouth and want two standard burger with no special taste they you might like it but i was disappointed in the taste of a standard burger that had no flavor, two burgers? two burgers with no flavor, with a tomato and lettuce, plus fries. When we arrived, I'll be honest, I didnt expect much, but boy was I wrong. This old building, made of rock, has an amazing view of the lake, seating inside and out. We ordered inside, I got the Mishroom and swiss burger, and it was AMAZING. The seasoning was perfect, the meat was tender and juicy and the mushrooms were to die for. I've been wanting to go here for some time now however it's far from where I live. We happened to be in the area and decided to stop in. WOW, so glad we did. Completely lived up to the hype. The burger was absolutely fabulous, the chicken wings may have been better than the burger. The fries were really good as well. The place looks old from the outside however it's very very clean and the service staff were extremely nice. The view from the patio is nice overlooking the water across the street. Tasty Burger Joint! Our favorite is the Bleu Cheese burgers and crinkle cut fries. Prices are very reasonable. Staff has always been courteous and quick. Very eager to ask if you want condiments to go and such a fun atmosphere. This place is a few miles away and we definitely recommend it. read more

Well, I had so hoped to love this place and was wishing to stumble upon a little gem hole in the wall & dive burger joint that was off the beaten trail. Instead the burgers were overcooked, the chicken was bland, and I'm still not sure how to feel about spending $83 for lunch for 3 kids and a mama except disappointed and taken advantage of, to say the least. I would not consider this a family friendly restaurant averaging $20 per person including 3 "kid's menu" items. We literally got three kids cheese burgers with fries, a grilled chicken sandwich with fries, and I subbed out 3 of the drinks for milk shakes. The fries are double battered, and the shakes were quite small. The service was quick, although prickly. It's a small place with some booths and tables, and it seems like they are going for a vintage look. It's one of those places that don't feel very welcoming unless you're a regular. The prices are super inflated, for food that rivals Dairy Queen at best. (No offense to the DQ). Overall this was a disappointing experience, and I so hated that for them and us. read more

I ordered a bison burger today and requested it cooked medium. Unfortunately, the burger I received was extremely overcooked -- closer to well-done -- and had a strong fried-fish smell. Went on a Saturday and stood in a long line-- every order is hand written and hand calculated. Saw the owners daughter standing up front not doing anything, would have been nice if she helped taking orders. The burgers are a decent size, but overpriced. $15 for just the burger is crazy. Took a little adventure away from home in search of a great burger and Burger Station almost sealed the deal. It is a very cute and very small establishment. Burger Station is definitely family owned and a local favorite and you can see why. When we got there the line was fairly long, about 4 people in front of us. The line went very quick. After we ordered we found a seat outside and waited for our meals to arrive. Burgers took about 15/20 minutes to come and and we both dug in! My only qualm with the mushroom Swiss burger was that the mushrooms weren't fresh. They were canned mushrooms. The burger station burger with bacon was very delicious so next time I would definitely get the regular burger and forgo the mushrooms. Overall it was a pretty good burger with a great hometown atmosphere. read more

Family run business mostly ran by the kids each time I've been in. The food is good but parking is limited due to the awkward location the restaurant is in. My suggestion is to go early for lunch to secure a table and a parking spot. read more

Just a laid back joint slingin' burgers and fries. Nothing fancy unless maybe if you want a hot dog or a chicken burger. They have ice cream too, so save room for a shake or even a cone afterwards! The main burgers are doubles, but you can size down to a single or even size up to a triple (You have a bigger stomach than I do!) The sides are normally fries and onion rings, but they had tots on special tonight so we got those. This place actually makes them crispy... no soggy tots here! This is one of those local places that people love based on nostalgia more than the food, IMO. My daughter and I are not from around here but stopped in today on our way to the fair. Based on the reviews I was expecting a hidden gem. The building is very old and cool in its own right. But the food was just ok. I had the Burger Station burger and my 4 year old had a cheeseburger kids meal. The burgers were just ok. Kind of dry. Not hot and juicy by any stretch. And I can't stand crinkle cut fries. Been here a few times and food was good but came on Monday 6/16 and was very disappointed. Ordered 3 meals to go, pulled pork was ok but rib dinner and half chicken dinner were probably the worst I've ever had. Completely dried out and literally smothered with sauce. Maybe stick with the burgers. read more

This cute little burger joint and ice cream stand nestled away in a small barely known town in Central Florida called Hernando City. The service was friendly, and the food was amazing, from the massive all beef hot dog to the mushroom swiss double cheeseburger. They even have a small beer and wine selection. What a great place to eat. There aren't too many choices of things to eat, but what they have available is on point. We had passed this place on a Sunday when it's closed, so thought we would make the trip from Ocala to try it one night. My husband ordered the basic cheese burger and I got two different kinds of wings-dry rub and Parmesan. Hubs got sweet potato fries with a marshmallow dipping sauce. I'm surprised he didn't lick the container!! The food was fresh and the workers were so friendly. It's not a fancy place, but you will leave happy. read more

I went here on Labor Day weekend, I got there an hour before they closed, it wasn't busy at all. Food was good, the service was extremely quick. I got the Burger Station Burger and it did not disappoint. The only thing though is that I wasn't able to pay with apple pay, so be ready to pull out your card or cash. Great burgers and fries. Flavorful, cooked to order, the toppings are plentiful and can be easily constructed to your taste(s). Like asking for chipotle Gouda I stead of American cheese ... Never disappointed. I've had breakfast and lunch here numerous times over the last 6 years. The pancakes are huge and one is big enough for 3 small children. The outside seating is nice during the warmer weather. The koi pond is a nice touch and the atmosphere. read more

What we found was a quaint place that was really busy The entertainment of the evening was a gentleman who was a one man band, and almost everyone there was a part of the fam club. He was pretty good. We had fast and friendly service, and placed our orders for thr grouper platter, Fried and the Filet mignon, Medium. We got sides of salad, fries and beans and rice, Nawlins style. The food was delicious! My steak was perfect and rhe grouper was delicate and tender. Its a little hard to get into and out of at peak traffic times. We'll be back

The catfish was thick chunks of fish with no breading or flavor. The Cole slaw was a creole slaw made from raw Brussels sprouts, shredded carrots and kale. I couldn't eat either. The server was nice to take half the price off the bill. Not one of my favorite places.

Crystal is the best , food comes out right and hot and if not they'll make sure you leave happy. Daily specials too. Love the pulled pork tacos on Tuesday. Good deal and it's only a couple miles from the best doggy daycare in Hernando.

This is obviously a favorite of locals, and had both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about all their offerings. Extremely clean, a nice place to sit back with friends and have a tasty meal and a caffeine pick me up!

So - we have passed by this place for about two years before we decided to stop. Wasn't quite sure…read morewhat to expect but were highly impressed. This is a place where the folks know you by name and the staff make your experience enjoyable. Walking in there the first time - you can sense they knew we were new to the place and were very nice. Second time there they remembered us - now we walk in the door and they ask us if it's the cinnamon bun or french toast muffin morning :) You cant go wrong with either and their coffee is amazing as well. Get there early if you wan the cinnamon bun or muffins - they don't last long - for a reason! It's that kinda hometown place where you feel like home. We have yet to have something we wouldn't order again. Quality and quantity of food is exceptional and they will customize your food the way you like it. We have had quite a few things on their menu and nothing fell short of amazing. Staff is extremely attentive and super friendly - your mug or drink will not go more than half full before being refilled. Not sure how this place only has a 3.7 rating - I would give this place a 5 every day of the week. We actually deviate from our GPS directions when heading places to stop there to eat on the weekends. Even when there is a crowd waiting to be seated - it goes by quick. Seen a few folks get deterred by a few people waiting - we never waited more than a few minutes. They have daily specials that are posted on the boards that you cant go wrong with ordering and are a great value. The only regret we have is not trying this place sooner when we moved here. This is definitely our favorite breakfast place and ranks in the top 2 of our favorite lunch spots.
