Nothing really to write home about. They were out of the long corn dogs....not sure how that happens. The loose meat sandwiches as shown on online menu is only is Brooksville. So you're kind of left with a limited menu. So I went with a Chicago Dog, something I was familiar with growing up. Similar but certainly not a true Chicago Dog. The strangely colored candied relish isnt as good. Beef Hot Dog no better than store bought. The fries were so salty I could barely eat them. Im new to the Crystal River area, and this was one of our first eateries in town. I wasnt sure what I was expecting, but it wasnt an amazing engine in the middle! Its rustic, with an oldstyle menu board, big wood tables and rail seating outside make it roomy and nice. Their menu is HUGE! My favorite items are the Chili cheese foot long and their onion rings. Its fair food memory without the fairefood prices! They are reasonably priced. And even have a fast drive thru service! Its become one of my favortie places read more

For some unusual reason, I was craving a chili cheese dog and I remembered driving past this restaurant a few times. There is a large dining area and you can sit wherever you want. You order from the counter. They have a large variety of items besides hot dogs such as wings, burgers and sandwiches. They also have so many ways they serve the hot dogs and you can choose the toppings you want to make it just the way you like it. The gal at the counter was extremely helpful, especially after telling her it was our first time there. We just ordered a foot long chili cheese dog and a side of fries to share. They make homemade lemonade but I was not overly impressed with it. The chili cheese dog did not disappoint and it satisfied my craving. read more

My family and I loved to go to Coney Island when we were in Brooksville so imagine how excited we are to have our very own Coney Island Dogs here in Citrus County! It's in a convenient location on Hwy 44 with easy access to their food WITH a drive through!!! This review is for the drive through experience only. Nice big drive through sign with a decent speaker system. We were greeted promptly and gave our order without difficulty. Pulled up to the window and were served our food within a few minutes from a friendly employee. We decided to stay in our car in their parking lot to eat even though they do provide outdoor seating. Just too hot to breathe. I ordered a footlong dog with onions, sauerkraut and mustard and a large order of onion rings. We had ice water in the car do we didn't order any drinks. My footlong dog did not disappoint. A perfectly steamed long bun with an equally long hot dog (no dinky dog here) topped generously with chopped onions, a squirt of yellow mustard and a pile of warm sauerkraut. Super delicious, it hit all the notes that I expected of a dog with kraut. My large portion of onion rings were huge in size, freshly made and were very good. I even had enough to share with the hubby! A very, very good drive through experience with good food. It's not fancy but when you want feel good, kid friendly food that is reminiscent of your childhood and easy on your pocketbook I definitely encourage you to give Coney Island a try! read more

July 4, 2022 We came through the drive thru for lunch. We learned that if we want wings, call at least 10 minutes ahead and place the order. We were able to place our order for the rest of our lunch. I called and told them about our wings. I guess it's just the store's policy to not be able to take an order for wings at the drive thru speaker. My husband was complaining about this, but really, all of the people we spoke with were very pleasant. I understand that wings take longer to cook, and really, the place was packed, so 10 minutes seems reasonable. The food tasted great. Service was very good. I will come back. read more

1st Impression as a first time patriot used the Drive-Thru, Got my name completely wrong for the order, "No big deal', food took a few minutes to prepare, 'unexpected, but again not a big deal', was handed a filthy bag with coleslaw bits and juice on the outside 'not acceptable', requested a replacement "Clean bag", they did. Get home, every thing was cold, 'ok it was a 15 minute drive, not great but lesson learned not a to-go joint', unpacked the bag, noticed my order was NOT complete, the Mexican Fries were absent, 'not happy, but mistakes happen', call the store explained the omission, requested a simple refund for just the missing Fries, was informed I would have to return in person for a cash refund only or to be provided the missing Fries, escalated to the shift manager for the refund, was again told cash refund only, would have to appear in person, was then offered incentive of free fries, milkshake and/or a few other options for the inconvenience. Begs the following questions; Why only in person refunds are allowed in cash? How often are orders not filled correctly? Is quality control an issue? Conclusion: Terrible consumer business practices and Drive through is a waist of your hard earned dollars for their meal, unless you're going to eat immediately in the parking lot! If you won't refund when your employees make a mistake, then why should anyone return or continue patronages of your business? read more

Sauerkraut not good no flavor at all.The cyclone fries sit in a bowl no heat lamp just a cold stainless steel bowl guess what they were cold too. If you like boiled hot dog water this is the place. I wanna start off by saying me and my wife are not hot dog eaters! But today my wife say your sign and wanted to visit, so we did! We ordered 3 foot long dogs. 1. Chicago style 2. Coney sauce and onion 3. Sauerkraut and mustard! All the dogs were super good! I'm not much of a bread eater and the Buns were super moist.
