Friendly staff, good beer selection and consistent food quality. Good location for downtown Inverness.

First time at this pub. Our waitress overserved a young man at the table next to us until he could not stand and passed out on the table. She did nothing until he woke up and started vomiting across the table, stools, and condiments. Other tables got up and moved; some left. She handed him an empty beer pitcher. He kept vomiting into it in front of other guests, then he spilled the pitcher over the table and floor as he passed out again. Management was nowhere to be seen. Another table told the waitress to call an ambulance. She refused. Eventually someone carried him out and sat him in a chair in front of the building. There was no apparent concern for his safety. It was obvious to people around us that she did not want this reported because she had overserved him. We will not return. read more

No separate fryers for those with gluten or shellfish allergies. Typical bar food. Staff was excellent. Plenty of TV's displaying sports.

Always a solid place to eat. Good healthy options. Fries are amazing and fried in tallow now Server very professional and nice. Great place to watch sports if so inclined and ambient noise is kept to a minimum read more

Super friendly staff! This is a wonderful hometown bar and restaurant. The food is excellent and prices are fair. Can't miss .99 cent taco Tuesday's. Horrible service...there were 4 of us...two of us got our meals at the same time,,,,third person got theirs 10 minutes later and the fourth got theirs almost 15 minutes after the third person. Unacceptable...when the fourth person's came it was only warm...bottom of bun was soggy. Would not recommend. I owned a bar and grill and all four people would have gotten their meals at the same time...no excuse. read more

My husband and I were in town visiting friends and they recommended Coach's for dinner. I had the Island Chicken Breasts glazed in mango sauce With tomatoes, onions, banana peppers and cheddar. The flavors were spot on and the blended flavors have made this the best chicken dish I e had in a long time. Definitely try Coach's! read more

Best wings I've had in a long time! They were perfectly fried and if you're like me that makes a a huge difference. We ordered medium and boom boom, I honestly can't decide which one I like more. Anthony was our server and he was great at giving us some advice coming in for our first visit. We also ordered the macho nachos and the fried cauliflower. I didn't know what to expect but if you haven't tried the fried cauliflower just go for it. My dad ordered the Philly and per his comment after his first bite his sandwich was made the right way. We went on a Saturday and it was nice to see all the college football games on. I would love to go back for a Sunday football game day. They had plenty of room to accommodate read more

The Best burgers. Great Bar food lots of tvs and real sports bar. Quick service next door to Stumpknockers too

This place is right in the small and cute downtown area of Inverness. It has a lot of bar seating, pool tables, and all kinds of sports and outdoors memorabilia on the walls. Lots of TVs for all your sports. Service was good. Price of food and alcohol drinks were reasonable. Food was very good and came out in a reasonable time. Chicken wings were a good size, not small like a lot of places. Overall enjoyed the ambiance and would be back. read more

We stopped by for dinner and drinks. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. My wife got the taco soup. It was very bland. There was no salsa or sour cream to go with it. It was very flowery tasting. My salad was good with buffalo chicken but it had no heat. Food average but waitress was great. read more

Our server was very good. Depends on what you order as to whether the food is good. I've had the French dip and it was very tasty, although it definitely could have had more meat. The next time I went I had the calamari...terrible...no flavor, no seasoning, (it should at least taste like calamari!) out of the freezer bag into the grease, plus is was $14 for a small portion. The 3 pieces that had the little tentacles ( my favorite) were nearly burnt. I don't know what the dip was, it said Thai chili sauce, not like I've ever had. Doubt I'll be back. As far as atmosphere, a zillion TVs, but that's expected in a sports bar. read more

Best restaurant in the state of Florida! Literally! We brought my BFF here because he deserved something special today. Boy, did we chose right. Leslie took my call for a reservation. I told her Coach's had the most 5 star reviews of any restaurant I've eaten at in this state. When I got here, she had a sweet message written at our table welcoming us all:) What a honey! Hailey was our waitress. She was on the ball, friendly, good at her job and a pleasure to have serve us. Now: Montreal steak was PHENOMENAL! Came w red potatoes in peppers. Oh, was that delicious! Hubby got wings he says are the best around anywhere. My BFF got the mozzarella sticks in beer batter that he LOVED! This cook is superb at what he does. Give him a raise! I will recommend this restaurant as the best I've been to down here to everyone I know. You can't do better than Coach's!!! read more

We had Jay taking care of us (on more than one occasion) and he is detail oriented and keeps his eyes and ears open and we have never been in want of anything! Very professional! Friendly! Dedicated to his job! The food has always been PERFECT! They have a great 8 oz. filet that is out of this world! Who would have thought? We've never had a bad meal! You'll get your money's worth and then some!!! Great place and even though there's music, you can still have a conversation as it isn't blaring! Have a great time!!! read more

Me and my son went. We both had a French dip sandwich and I got onion rings with my. All of it was good. While visiting Brooksville for a disc golf tournament, my friends and I were hunting some grub and beer late in the evening. After much debate, we settled on Coach's in Inverness. This town looked dead until we spotted Coach's. Coach's is definitely the happening place in town! There are like somewhere between 50 - 100 TVs in this joint. The menu is quite extensive with sandwiches, BBQ, burgers, steak, and wings. I went with onion rings for an appetizer, and my buddies went with duck fingers and crab Jalepeno poppers. I definitely chose the best out of the three, though there was nothing special about the onion rings. I hate crab so that made the crab Jalepeno poppers gag-able for me and the duck fingers were just weird and kind of tough. I may have struck out on the appetizers but the burger sure did make up for it. I chose the Texas Burger. It came with a 1/2 lb. Angus Beef patty with pimento cheese, bourbon BBQ sauce, and bacon. The burger was more than fulfilling. It had a wonderful fresh made patty taste. I asked for 2 additional BBQ sauces on the side: Chipotle BBQ and Everglades Moppin Sauce. I could not get enough of the Everglades Moppin Sauce with a sweet citrus/mustard taste. The burger came with fries and slaw. Sweet tea was more like half and half than sweet tea but it sufficed. There are specials every day. The atmosphere and the burgers make Coach's a solid 4 stars for me. read more

Wow! We took advantage of their convenient outside seating which was plenty!!! Our server Sam was amazing! Very attentive and considerate! This is one of best servers in the business. I truly appreciate this especially in this day and age when so many in the service and restaurant industry are overworked, underpaid, and understaffed. Please ensure this server gets acknowledged for her excellent service and preferably a RAISE! NOW the food... one word..OUTSTANDING! So many restaurants just "churn out" sandwiches and food without any attention to detail! The food was fantastic! I had a patty melt and haven't had one in years!!! This sandwich was perfect start to finish and the coleslaw was wonderful. Everyone in my party loved their lunch and Sam never missed a beat in refilling our drinks and ensuring we had everything we needed. Thank you so much for a suburb experience overall! My first time to this quaint little town of Inverness and I will definitely be back and asking for Sam by name to serve my family. Thank you for giving it your all, for your kindness, and for an overall 5 star experience!! If I could give you more stars I would!! Thanks again. read more

Coaches is a decent sports pub located in the heart of downtown Inverness. Parking is tricky because it's very limited and even though there's handicap parking out front, the handicap ramp is located on the side road! Outside is very cluttered with outdoor tables making people weave through the tables and chairs to get to the front door. Inside is the usual sports bar decor we've all come to expect. Looked clean with no dirty tables or floors. Lots of t.v.s on the walls varying in size plus posters of different beers and drinks. One room has tables and chairs and booths while the other room offers pool tables, some tables and the bar. We've been to Coaches twice, the first time our waitress was a little aloof- in a hurry and no smiles for her customers. Maybe because we're not drinkers. Our second visit we fared much better with our waitress who was very sweet and attentive to our needs. We went on a Thursday evening both times for their Thursday special of All you can eat peel and eat shrimp for $13.99. Sprinkled with Old Bay spice- no sides come with the shrimp special. If you want sides like fries and cole slaw there's an extra charge. During our first visit we ordered the fried cauliflower bites. They were just okay, we were a little disappointed in their bland flavor that even the dip couldn't salvage. On our second visit we opted for the fried conch fritters. Again, disappointed. Flavor was there but they were not cooked to a crispy brown consistency- no crunch. Sauce was a honey mustard which was good. The first time our shrimp were absolutely scrumptious. Cooked to perfection- not undercooked or overcooked. Hot, buttery and spicy - so good!! The second visit they were a complete disappointment! Overcooked to the point that some were of baby food mush consistency - we told our waitress who was embarrassed and apologized and told the cook. Yet our subsequent shrimp dishes continued to arrive in the same fashion. Few were firm but most were inedible! My husband upon leaving spoke to the manager who was very nice and apologetic and compensated us for the lousy food. We felt so bad for our sweet waitress that we generously tipped her for her excellent service and her several attempts to fix the problem. Will we go back? Yes, we will! They have a very large menu with some unique food offerings. Every restaurant can have a "bad night" it's how their shortcomings are handled that makes a world of difference if they will receive any chance from us to come back and judge if they do better. The manager said if there was something we would like to eat he would certainly make it to our dietary restrictions! Now that's putting a customer's needs first! I will definitely review our next visit to see their progress! read more

Let me start by saying the food was really good. That might be the only reason we may consider coming back. Now for the service. It was not at all good. We had Brooke as our server. So she comes to get our order, however we had a couple questions. My Mom is HIGHLY allergic to onions and spicy seasonings. We asked if the crab cakes had onions, she said she didn't know. Then she finally says she will ask. Well she asked another waitress who didn't know. I asked Brooke if she could ask the cook. She rolls her eyes and say yeah I guess. She comes back and tells us it has onions. That was fine, just order something else. She proceeded to tell us, "Sorry the waitresses are not told anything about the menu, or how things are made." Then we order. My Mom gets the blackened Mahi sandwich with no season, just salt and pepper. I ordered the Pepper Jack Salmon with the rosemary red potatos no onions just the peppers. Doesn't seem like that would be too much of an adjustment on the food to cause an issue. Well after about 25 mins we asked if she knew how much longer. She says I don't know probably a few minutes. We had asked because we saw 2 other tables that were seated after we placed our order and received their food before we did.. She comes out about 10 minutes later with the food. Again the food was good and hot. I said something about rosemary red potatoes looked more like just homefries, Brooke says well yeah that's what they call them, but its just homefries. So again, might come back for the food, but not if this is the service that is given. read more

Yuck! It was incredibly loud and the food was gross. We ordered a burger and fries, salad, and a cookies and cream milkshake. The burger was ok but everything else was terrible. Chewy, dry chicken on the salad, brown slimy pieces of lettuce, and a flavorless watered down tasting milkshake sums up our dining experience. read more

I've been here twice and both times service and food have been good. They also have a large draft beer list with craft beer options and that is the biggest draw for me. I've been able to try beers I can't get elsewhere in town and we're new to me, so I'd go here even if it was just for a drink. Their bar area is gigantic and broken up into 3 different bars, all with views to the million tv's that they have. Definitely a place for sports fans to catch the game! read more

This is my first time in the downtown area of Inverness. Came in to Coach's to have dinner and drinks. They have a bunch of tvs playing just about every football game on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was great. Family friendly place. They have 2 sections and it gets packed. We got there in the nick of time because as soon as we sat down a wave of people came on in. I ordered the philly cheese steak with fries. It was hot and juicy. My S.O got the Brisket Burger. Which was HUGE to say the least but boy was it good. It was one of those burgers that once you pick up you can't put it down lol. Needless to say he enjoyed it. My In-laws got a mango salad and jalapeño poppers. Both of which were great. We will definitely be coming back to this place when we're in town again. read more

Any night out with my Fab Fiancée is likely to be grand! We love seeking out new places to eat good food and meet new friends. This was our first visit to Coach's. The Inverness downtown area is pretty cool, quaint and cozy. We liked that. Coach's is easy to find, parking was a little more difficult but not a problem. We started out our Coach's game with a little Pep Talk by way of the Fried Cauliflower appetizer. What the menu says you get is 'Cauliflower Florets Coated with Japanese Style Bread Crumbs and Cheddar Cheese. Served with Melted Butter and Parmesan Cheese'. We expected to get some gooey good melted Cheddar drizzled over the top with a fine dipping sauce of butter and Parmesan. What we got was simply fried breaded Cauliflower, a mound of unmelted shredded Cheddar cheese next to a small cup of melted butter and another separate small mound of Parmesan. Hmmmmmmm, we were surprised. So, we tried every way possible of dipping sequences into the butter first, then into the Parmesan, etc. We DID NOT care for these. They lacked any real taste, the Cheddar doesn't melt sufficiently to infuse any flavor into the vegetable. It was just weird. Thumbs down here. Because of a delay Candace, our server, brought us a cup of the Loaded Baked Potato Soup! This was absolutely delicious! Creamy good with tons and tons of flavor! YES!!!! I then ordered the Philly Cheese Steak, which the menu touts as 'Our Top Seller!'. It was okay, but nothing special. Having enjoyed Philly sandwiches from Philadelphia to every place in between, I've had delicious Phillies! The idea of a good Philly is to let that perfectly melting and plentiful gob of Swiss Cheese ooze down, around and over every bit of the flat top cooked onions, mushrooms and green peppers. The combination of the carmelized onions, the sauteed peppers and onions makes for a taste note that would ring The Liberty Bell! My sandwich was that little handlebar bell on a 3 year old's training wheel bicycle. Ding! Next.... Fab One ordered the Montreal Sirloin, at $15.99 Again, the menu states 'Fresh Extra Thick Cut 10 Ounce Sirloin Topped with Zesty Spices. A Local Favorite!'. Her sirloin was cooked perfectly Med Rare, as ordered. However, she felt that ALL she TASTED was the Montreal seasoning! The taste of the meat was overwhelmed by the pepper, salt and other Montreal spices. It was mostly WAY TOO SALTY. We 'could' have asked for a re-do on our items, sure. But we did not. Partly because I don't like to chance kitchen revenge(NOT saying Coach's would do that!). But also because we really liked our bar server Candace. She was on the ball with refills and attending to our needs. We did have fun talking with other patrons, playing some of the bar games including the swinging ball on the hook! We may drop in again when in the area, to try some other menu items. read more

I go frequently with my son, daughter in law and grandkids. You would maybe want to be hesitant to take young kids into a sports bar but it is absolutely not a problem, and there is something for everyone on the menu, including some extremely well done full course dinners, and a children's menu to boot. Ok so, the SweetWater 420 IPA is back on tap. The bar menu includes a bunch of great favorites like the fries with Everglades seasoning, 1/4 lb burgers, BBQ beef brisket sandwiches, and chicken fingers with any sauce you want along with grilled cheese, shrimp, and a few other surprises. Our favorites are the fries, chicken with boom boom sauce and BBQ beef brisket. Consistent good service and food over the last year earns Coach's another star. read more

Coach's is actually a place that my family likes to frequent because of its amazing specials and laid back atmosphere. But tonight's experience was disappointing on the management side of things. Up until this outing to Coach's the staff has been wearing masks and my families safety during Covid was never in question. This time no employee's were wearing masks and when asked it was stated that it was not required. For this reason alone I will NOT go back until customer safety is the first priority. The service from our server was amazing as usual. I have no complaints there. But our food was even less than subpar. The all you can eat shrimp first came out underdone, then came out overdone, and on our final attempt they were still squishy. We asked to speak to a manager but they never came out. They comped an order of shrimp but that wasn't what we were looking for. We simply wanted to give some helpful feedback because this was a place we enjoy to frequent. The fact that they didn't even come to the table made us feel dismissed or unimportant. I hope that their Covid standards improve and that management takes more ownership in the safety, quality and treatment of its customers. I want to be able to recommend this place to my friends again. read more
