Pudgees is a burger and Hot dog shop par excellence. What a wide assortment of options. From merely big food to titanic portions for the champion eaters out there. We both tried the half pound burger and wow.Tasty- and two hands full. Burgers of this size require grip strength and endurance to keep it from exploding like a deck of cards. My initial bite (a gator sized one) merely grazed the perimeter. I was sent scampering off like a chihuahua tail between my legs whimpering. I regained my pride in time and went back to combat with that beast, the details of which I will spare you. I emerged victorious but both my girlfriend and I agreed we could have shared one. I would like to go back again and again to try their various hot dogs and a pork cutlet sandwich which appears insane. I hope to see you there. It was about 7.50 after paying in cash. I waited for a couple minutes, and it my name was called to pick up my order. I ate outside in a small bench. The hotdog was loaded with the toppings like relish, pickles, and peppers. I added mustard and ketchup too. The hotdog was plump, and the toppings were alright. It isn't as good as Portillos, but still decent for the price. It was filling for lunch too. The atmosphere is the same, but the party room in the back is now available in you have an extra air conditioned space to eat. It wasn't that crowded outside, but there were quite a few inside. I guess more people wanted the cooler area as it was a bit hot and humid outside. Parking can sometimes be hard to get in the front, so there is a back area too. There is a small stage for concerts now, but I haven't seen any yet. The mechanical horse still works, but the dino one was out of order, and the dolphin one looks to be gone. Staff is pretty quick and friendly. I am glad I ate here again on Sunday as the food was good and filling. No complaints for 7.50 on a footlong Nathan Chicago dog. It was cut in half, (think foot-long) it was a little hard to eat, but it was so deliciously filled with yummy ingredients. It had Kraut, spicy mustard and a sweet onion sauce like they have in NY. Each time David and his staff greeted us as if we were long lost family. We tried many differnt hotdog options with fries and shakes. Each time they delivered the food to our truck and they never had to ask which vehicle was ours. They were and are that good. My credentials, over the course of a normal week I eat hotdog at least twice every week. I have traveled to 49 state and eaten at hundreds of hotdog stands, restaurants and yes, even gas station hot dog venues. Hot Diggity dog is number one in quality of food, number one in quality of service and in the top two in overall value. Take my word for it, go there eat there and find out what we found out, these are great people.

One of the really interesting things about Daddy Dawg's is that they offer several premium brands of hotdogs to choose from (at slightly different prices). This includes Nathan's, Sabrett & Vienna as well as a couple of others. As usual, I had to try several things on the menu. I had the 6" Chicago beef with mild giardiniera (slightly disappointing that they don't offer a hot giardiniera), a Nathan's hotdog with chili & cheese, and a Nathan's hotdog with sauerkraut and mustard. I really liked the flavor of the chili and I was happy that they sauerkraut was hot. Some of the other choices were a foot long hotdog with bacon and cheese, a double cheeseburger and chicken nuggets for 2 of the kids. The French fries seemed just ok, not as good as the other things. As you can see on the menu, they offer a number of other options too. They have hand scooped ice cream as well as several famous ice cream bars from my childhood. All in all, a fun experience and everyone seemed happy with their lunch. The servers were efficient, the food came out fairly quickly and one of our servers was incredibly friendly and helpful. I think the 4 yr old boy in our group had a crush on her. The atmosphere / decor is just ok but it doesn't really detract from the experience. I would definitely come back again.
