    Hot and fresh fries!!!
    MaryLou B.

Shoutout to our local community heroes!!! We came for the Chicago dog and spicy dog!!! But we got way more than that! The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and personable! They didn't even mind adding to my order because I couldn't resist the fresh hot fries! The fries were delicious! Like the best of boardwalk fries!! Hot, fresh, crunchy outside, and pillowy inside. The hotdogs were as amazing as the reviews stated!!! They were devoured!!! And then the treat ... the cherry on top... the awesome strawberry milkshake with fresh strawberries!!! Yummm !!

Not sure what the expectations were of people who have left to lackluster reviews - no trip to St. Augustine has gone by without a stop a Hazel's. As always the fries were hot - i think the trick is the par fry the fries and refry when ordered so the are not only hot but have the crispness that on a can from preparing fries from fresh potatoes. The hot dog is 'old school' which old guys like me refer as snap. Role was soft and fresh. Service is always courteous and efficient. As for price 2 dogs fries and a large fountain soda for the price of a McDonalds combo meal cannot be beat. I will be back - it truly is A REAL WEINER

    Mustard, onion and pickle.

Our simple mustard, onion and pickle hot dogs were carefully constructed. The buns were very fresh and the dogs have "snap".

The food was worth the wait! Delicious and reasonable price. Exactly service. Nice and clean friendly service.

Hot dog and fresh cut fries!

You can never go wrong at Hazels! The fries are always fresh cut and the hot dogs have a skin on the outside that has a slight crunch! Perfection! I was a bit boring today and just got ketchup and pickles on my hot dog this time but I have had the Chicago dog before and it's soo good!! The buns are also really soft and always fresh! There are usually only 2 people in there so give service some time and don't go in a rush! There is always a line too! But they are always friendly and as fast as they can be! A few outside tables but alot of people just eat in their cars or take to go! Don't miss out on this St Augustine classic!

I know I've said this before but if you haven't tried Hazels you need to get there . They have the best dogs . A little roadside restaurant with a few outdoor tables but the best French fries and hot dog this side of St Augustine . They always have a crowd but they are worth the wait . They are located on A1

Bookmarked this place like forever. Had a chance to stop by and THEY WERE EFFIN CLOSED. Uggh, I felt like a wiener today (Sunday 5.30.2021)

It's a Dog Eat Dog World!!! Or is it a Hot Dog Eat Hot Dog World!?! I "finally" made it to Hazel's Hot Dogs. After many failed attempts and realizing that they are closed on Sundays, I craved for the yummy hot dogs. The Cravings... My cravings started when local Yelp couple, Rey C and Gail C, started posting religiously of the hot dogs they've eaten for the day, for the week, for the month. So by the time I made it to Hazel's Hot Dogs, it only took me less than a minute to place my order because I mentally already knew what hot dogs I wanted to try.... THE Spicy Hot Dog (their best seller) and the Chicago Dog. I loved them both. It's hot dogs folks, so if you like eating regular hot dogs without much toppings....then Hazel's Hot Dogs may not be for you. Come here if you like the specialty type hot dogs as well as Chili Dogs and Chili Cheese Dogs. All delicious. Looking forward to trying the other hot dogs on the list. Datil Dog and Bratwurst is next on my "to try" list.

I have only had the chance to go here a couple times in recent years but every time I have a hotdog elsewhere, I think of this place because of how flavorful their specialty hotdogs are. My recent trip here I got the one hot dog combo because I wasn't hungry enough for the two hot dogs, and it was more than enough food to hold me over for quite some time. I opted for the salsa dog and with the combo, you also get a massive helping of fries that are hand cut there, as well as a nice sized soda. The salsa dog is covered with salsa, jalapenos and some amazing cheese sauce. The hot dog was a perfect crunch from the shell when you bite into it and all of the toppings blend perfectly together as well. The fries were also cooked to perfection and the soda tasted amazing as well, making me think they added something to it because it tasted much better than other fountain drinks I have had at other places. At the price tag of roughly seven dollars for all that food, it is impossible to find anywhere else that has this much food for the price, let alone the food being good for that price as well! Will be back next time I am in St. Augustine for sure!

Just hype? No, not at all. Very good. I had the Chicago Dog and it was very good. But, the fries were nothing shy of amazing!

I also have to mention the banana pudding because it was AMAZING. Easily the best I've had so far, and I'm not even exaggerating. The service really stood out as well. Our waitress went above and beyond to help me figure out what the veggie burger was made of and even looked into the company that makes it since I'm picky about veggie burgers. That level of care doesn't go unnoticed. We dined outside and although noisy from the traffic, it was nice. Overall, such a great experience. They really have something for everyone. Definitely recommend checking it out and don't skip the banana pudding.

Stopped here for something sweet after spending the afternoon on St. Augustine Beach with my…read morefamily. This was my first visit to Cone Heads, and I had a very enjoyable experience! Cone Heads is located right on A1A Beach Blvd, just a block off of the beach. It is in a standalone building that is inviting with both colorful signage and plenty of outdoor seating. They also have a drive-thru and a private parking lot. When we visited on a Tuesday in July around 5:30 PM, we had no issue getting a parking spot. There were some other customers enjoying some ice cream, but there was relatively no line when we entered the store. The ordering happens inside, and you walk right into the ice cream cabinets and counter. All of the flavors are displayed and can be seen from the order line. Additionally inside, there are some tables to sit and eat at, along with a restroom. They sell a variety of merchandise along with their food and dessert selection. I liked seeing the community cork-board, where there were a variety of different posters and advertisements for events and services around the area. The menu consisted of traditional ice cream items one would expect - cups, cones, sundaes, banana splits, milkshakes, and more. They also had a Seasonal Special section on the menu, which I assume changes somewhat frequently. This trip, that item was a Donut Ice Cream Sandwich. There are some sundae combinations on the menu, but you can customize your own if you choose. There is hard ice cream, soft serve, and also some hot food options - hot dogs, sausages, and tamales, primarily. For drinks, they had canned soda, bottled, water, and some coffee options. As far as to-go, they had pints and quarts available for the ice cream, along with a freezer full of pre-packaged pints, quarts, and ice cream sandwiches for a grab and go situation. Having never been here before, our group needed some time to look at the menu and flavors before ordering. There were around 30 different flavors of hard ice cream, which included No Sugar Added and Dairy Free varieties, in addition to traditional full dairy varieties. I thought that the flavor selection was a healthy mix of traditional favorites and unique offerings. The staff working were friendly and helpful with answering all of our questions about the flavors. I even got to try a couple samples before making my decision. After much debate, I landed on trying the Donut Ice Cream Sandwich. This was made to order, and I got to choose the ice cream for the filling. I opted for the Kahula Chip for a coffee and donut flavor combination. I did enjoy this treat! The donut was fresh (and from a local spot), and the ice cream complimented it nicely. I thought the price was also fair for the size and specialty of the dessert, at $5.50 before any tax. My dog was waiting patiently in the car, so we ordered him a Doggie Ice Cream. It was a small boat of vanilla soft serve with peanut butter sauce and a Milk Bone. For my magnet collection, I also purchased one of their logo to take home with me. I personally did not pay the bill, but I thought the pricing here was fair and in line with any other similar type of shop. They took both cash and card. This shop is exactly what you would want out of an ice cream shop on the beach - fun, colorful, and local. They incorporate various other local businesses into their products. The theme of the establishment is appropriate for being a block away from the ocean, and there is a lot of color and fun decor to look at around the building. The staff were all pleasant, the product is tasty, and the price is right. Really enjoyed discovering Cone Heads on this trip, and will make sure to stop by again during my future trips to St. Augustine!
