Overall, this was a nice experience. Good food. Friendly staff. Nice cozy diner atmosphere. Noise level wasn't bad, it can be loud I'm sure when there is a full dining room of people. The food was flavorful. The burger had really good seasoned beef and the bun was toasted perfectly. The club sandwich was a club sandwich. Nothing special. But tasted good. The potato salad was nice. It is the day before Thanksgiving and I really wanted a turkey and fixing sandwich with a side of gravy. I know they had a turkey dinner on the menu. The service was excellent. The iced tea was spot on! The restaurant was clean. The food itself was not awful, but not spectacular either. The batter on the fried items didn't have much seasoning and tasted more like the oil they were fried in. The french fries were decent, but were probably cooked from frozen and pre-seasoned. We ventured out of The Villages for breakfast here. Oh boy, was it good. I finally got my eggs over medium as ordered . I always knew it could be done and by golly, there they were! Lifelong customer since the 80's Recently was yelled at by waitress (Erika) in front of my children. She had a very demanding table next to mine and decided to take out her frustration on us. I was trying to be helpful and she misunderstood and began to scold me and cause a scene. Spoke with kitchen manager, no help. Spoke with waitress manager(Michelle) she made excuses and sided with the waitress. Quality of staff has gone way down. Ex cons in the kitchen and tattooed angry waitresses on the floor. Wolfy's is a great diner with the best club sandwich in central Florida. BUT they've been closed the last two times we drove a half hour from Clermont to visit. The first time their website said they'd be open until 7:00, but nope, they closed at 2:00. Today we arrived at 1:30 to discover things were slow so they decided to close early. The place does need a face lift as my booth seat has seen better days and needs to be replaced, however there was plenty of diners in the restaurant. Our second visit. What an incredibly affordable restaurant! My wife ordered a short stack with bacon and 2 eggs over medium. She loved the pancakes - there's a special flavor and sweetness about them. The bacon was perfect and the eggs were a little underdone but that was okay. I ordered a clam roll with fries. It was odd but delicious. I'm originally from New England, but I've never seen a clam roll with lettuce, tomato and salad dressing. The fries were fine. Total bill before tax and tip? $22.74! At $ 10.99 the pot roast special is a good deal, especially amidst spiraling inflation. I don't know if they made it, or it was food service pack, but I liked it. A long time diner in Leesburg serving good diner food. Not dingy or worn out, well maintained with enough staff and plenty of customers. Booths and tables no counter or outside seating and there will probably be a line for lunch. Seniors and regulars know the place and get a pleasant greeting. Three reasons I won't be going back to Wolfy's. 1) Booth cushions that are flat worn out and freezing cold dining area 2) A waitress in the evening that always tells me there is an up charge for a baked potato even though it doesn't say that on the menu 3) Now they charge 3% if you use a credit card Before moving to Leesburg six months ago, I would travel to visit my mother here and I always wanted to eat at Wolfy's. I always get the Open face turkey sandwich, but it is always very salty, and there's much more bread than meat, so I leave a lot of bread on the plate. For my vegetable, my wife and I ordered a baked potato, for my second vegetable I ordered vegetable beef soup. I saw no special prices for any of the vegetables on the menu. When I got my bill, however, I had two up charges of $1 and one up charge of $1.50. when I inquired to the waitress, she said "it's in the menu we charge an extra dollar for a baked potato and we charge an extra $1.50 for soup." I just looked at their menu online and didn't see anything about special up charges. I'm going to ask them to point out where on Earth the description of up charges for the vegetables is printed. It's ridiculous to charge an extra $3.50 for baked potato and soup. There's nothing particularly special about those veggies. As a courtesy, the waitress should point out that there is an upcharge for things while in the ordering process rather than just surprising you with the additional charges. read more

Cute little mom & pop diner atmosphere. Breakfast portions were quite plentiful. I had a half order of biscuits & gravy. That biscuit was perfect, truly. The gravy was ok, but the biscuit was the star. My husband, a retired military man, said his Denver omelette was "perfectly executed." His hashbrowns were my favorite part of breakfast. Not too crispy, not too soft, truly perfect hashbrowns. We had to ask her where our food was and she let us know that they did not have the wraps so we had to order something else. Then we had to wait another 5 min to get our food. 7/21/24 We wanted to try a new restaurant for a change so we were in Leesburg and we looked up Wolfies. We decided to try it. We met a lady in the parking lot and she couldn't say enough good things about it so we had good anticipation when we walked through the door, we were seated at a table in the middle of the aisle, finally our waitress came and we told her what we wanted to drink and she brought it but it wasn't correct and she forgot the straws. I don't have any in my pocket so we figured she'd be right back with them. No she wasn't. she went and took care of the next table beside us and the one across from us and then she took another tables drink order, then she went on to, take someone else's order. that was 15 minutes later. This woman didn't know how to gauge her time. I guess it's probably not anything about the restaurant as a whole, but they need to train "this waitress", better as I looked around, they were all middle-age women so I felt confident that it was going to be a good meal. But she never returned to the table even to take our order so we just got up and walked out. read more

It's been a few years since I've been here. We went on 6/5/24. The biscuits are still amazing. I think it's the big draw for me. I devoured one and thought about getting another to take home, but I didn't. However, the dark chocolate cake at check-out caught my eye. It was beautiful, however it was quite dry, but the flavor was there. If it had been nice a moist it would have been killer chocolate cake.
