Their chicken sandwich is too tough to bite. They don't even allow you to substitute fries for a cheaper priced side item and want to up charge you for a cheaper item when the tough sandwich is already $13. Ridiculous!!! read more

I still like this place. The fish in my fish tacos were over-fried. And the music, with hard rock blaring, was too loud. But our server was pleasant and the traffic noise added to the Ramshackle mood. My wife enjoyed her Cuban and salad, which was quite large. The prices are reasonable. read more

I've been coming to Ramshackle for 26 years but tonight was my last time there. I took my 86 year old mother with me and our waitress Sara was extremely rude to her for no reason. She also tried to make a scene with me because I wouldn't pay her but choose to pay at the bar. She'd already lost her tip and knew it so she continued being rude. The flavors were bold and perfectly balanced, and the portion size? Let's just say bring your appetite! The fries were golden, crispy, and piled high--almost too much to finish (but not quite ). The homemade chili deserves its own standing ovation. It had this deep, rich flavor that tasted like it had been simmering all day. Every bite was packed with goodness. The interior was clean and inviting, and the waitstaff couldn't have been more pleasant. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there--which made my experience even better. Visited tonight 5-15-26 6:23pm. Sat at bar. William was bartender. Not t friendly at all. Very curt and in a hurry to get at the other end of the bar. Needs more training in customer service. But left a good tip anyway. My grouper fingers were good but my husband's Buffalo chicken sandwich was tough. Have had tough chicken here in the past so you guys need to learn the art of marinating! I've been to ramshackle four times and every time it has been exceptional! From the pulled pork sandwich, the best french fries you'll ever have, and the cauliflower wings, everything I've had there is amazing. The Cubano grilled sandwich is a must have as well. I'm a regular. and it's to the point of disrespect with the bartender. tonite Will feels put out didn't even offer a menu. with 3 people at the bar on a Friday night. we reached over and got our own. he knows I like my drink how I like it. just feel the vibe that he's generally put out. the food is awful anymore. and there isn't a lot to choose from. This used to be one of our favorite places to eat, but not anymore. All new menu and no longer have our favorite sandwiches. Today they didn't even give me any silverware to eat with! My husband ordered a bowl of chili which came out cold, he sent it back and all they did was put it in the microwave and reheat it and brought it back to him with his spoon still in it. I realize they are under new ownership, but thankfully the menu is the same. I go here specifically for the cheeseburger wrap. It used to be soooo good, now it's just ok. A bit disappointed. Better than last time. Highlights: awesome onion rings and happy hour $5.99 BOGO wine. The wraps were good, wrapped tighter than last time so didn't immediately fall apart. Just had our late lunch early dinner and we had a good experience! Service was prompt, courteous and helpful. The decor is fun, rustic and homey. My husband had the Steakout Sandwich and fries. He said it was good. Plenty of meat and fixins', fries were tasty too. I had the spicy Taco Salad. It was very good. It definitely had some heat but the fresh salad fixins brought about a good balance. We'll look forward to another visit. read more

We were in a party of 4, two of the dinners came with wings. When the dinners arrived there was no ranch or blue cheese for either order. The customer asked for ranch which is part of a wing. The waitress brought the ranch and all was good. Then the bill came and there was a charge for the ranch, SAD. I am surprised they did not charge for the ketchup we used on our fries and mustard for the chicken sandwich. If we had asked for extra I have no problem for the charge, but for something that comes with every order is a restaurant being real cheep and bad to their customers. read more

I hadn't been here in 6-7 years and am glad I finally went back. Inside is decorated with a lot of license plates. There's a bar and a sectioned dining area. We sat outside which is close enough to 441 a distracted driver could easily plow through the tables. It makes it a little loud, but it's still enjoyable. Server was good, but seemed to not want to be there. They have a angry orchard and Sprite Zero but no Coke Zero. Had fried mushrooms appetizer that were good. It is 5:30 on a Saturday evening and with a party of six they were able to quickly accommodate us! They have outside patio seating with fans and misters, but we were dressed for indoors this time. Next time I would love to sit outside and have apps with cocktails! The staff was super attentive and no matter who you interacted with was very personable. The menu is pretty large and they have a full bar for drinks, so we had several varieties from old fashioned to mai tai:) for dinner two had steak, one fish and chips, a burger, a chicken buffalo sandwich and a quesadilla were the main course items- all delish!! I love finding these one-off type of places. They usually have cool décor, friendly service, and good food. Ramshackle Café is one of those places! We have driven past this place countless times, and finally took the time to stop in for lunch. Our server was really friendly, and when we told her it was our first visit, she immediately made a couple suggestions from the menu. One of those suggestions was to try their wings, and she said she prefers "medium grilled." That's exactly what we ordered, and we couldn't have been more pleased! The wings are sizable and meaty, grilled to a crispy skin with juicy chicken on the bone. Absolutely delicious, and some of the best wings we have had since moving to Florida nearly 4 years ago - in fact, some of the best we have had....period! the décor is rustic and down-home - I would call it inviting. It's fun to look over all the different license plates and wall-hangings that adorn the place. There are cool old pictures, old signage, and the plates are a blend of ancient and new designs! We will definitely be back for more wings, and plan to enjoy the outdoor seating net time. Cute little bar& grill in an old HoJo location. I guess they've here since the 80s and it's definitely a destination for the local folk. I had two Ketels and an order of fried oysters. Pretty good, cute lil' bartender/servers seemed ready to go home after a long St. Paddy's Day, though it was only around 8:15. If I was in the area, I'd probably stop in again. Chelsie M was great actually excellant & personable. We went here because of the hype on a social media page I follow. We had also gone by there many times & it interested me. I tried the fried mushrooms (kind of small portions for 9.00) and they were good but not "the best ever" as stated. I had the lunch special of a 1/2 roast beef wrap and fries. The fries were hot & fresh and good. The wrap was just ok. Alot of wrap not a lot of meat. My husband had a Cobb salad. It came with a bread stick that was hard & crusty - not great Neither of us have a desire to go back. Would we if one of our friends wanted to? Yes but no draw to go back on our own. The parking isn't great and it's extremely hard to get back out on the road. I was disappointed because I expected it to be outstanding and it wasn't. read more

Where to begin ..... we have been wanting to try this place for a couple of years. We had passed by on our way to service our vehicle in Leesburg and it was (in the past) ALWAYS packed! Thinking, " wow "... must be good; they are always busy. Today, we could not figure out a particular craving so we thought, let's try something new.... WELL... there are NO words... YET, so many UN-postable words that I could use to describe the experience. First, we walked into the side door where a family was having a rather heated discussion . (Ok... not a business matter and cannot blame the restaurant but it does speak to their clientele ). The wait staff were nice and allowed us to choose our seats ( why... NOT busy ... not sure what happened there). Menu has quite a variety so we ordered. Hubby got a wing / rib combo which advertised 5 wings (he got 4). There was soooooo much sauce it overwhelmed even though he scraped it off it was still too much ( his thought ... are they hiding something?????). I had a chicken sandwich which was all kinds of hardly any chicken and what was there were the spit in your napkin grizzly pieces. Needless to say, we left with a box of food we will likely trash as I do not know if an air fryer reheating it can even make it any more edible. THEN, went home to order door dash an hour later because we were still hungry. Mind you, this is coming from people who typically share a meal as serving sizes are usually too generous. Not this place. Bready, carby, yuck yuck!!! These are kind words. I could rename this place RAM$h**kle. AWEFUL!!!! Hubby said the BR was clean... I guess that's a positive... I left with the ickies!! This place is average at best. I used to come here years ago and it was much better quality food. The last time I ate here I was not impressed. I got the Philly cheesesteak the meat was tough and very, very salty. I couldn't even eat it. Ramshackles is a local favorite of mine when it comes to wings and more. Today I ordered the grilled teriyaki and the spicy lemon pepper wings and as always they were cooked just right, on the hard side but still juicy. Another favorite is the loaded potatoes skins which are flashed fried & loaded with bacon, chives, cheese with a side of honey mustard. Although the atmosphere is always festive I usually order to go and there is no "to go" drop off of quality that you typically get at other restaurants. Every Super Bowl, we place a huge order of wings and potato skins. If you really enjoy banging wings, this is the place to go and the service is normally fast and with a smile.
