Wonderful breakfast! The owners are so sweet and I will definitely come back. It's about 20 miles away from my house, but the hospitality and the breakfast food was that good. Best biscuit gravy I have ever had! Thank you ladies! My only suggestion is to really improve the open face roast beef sandwich or take it off the menu. Gravy was NOT good and hardly any beef on the bread. However my husband's breakfast was outstanding so stop by for a great breakfast at a great price and good service. read more

Just moved to the area so I was still trying to find a good breakfast spot. This place had really good food very fast service and a very friendly atmosphere. I couldn't help but notice some man forgot his credit card, possibly at home and was so embarrassed, and the first thing the lady at the register said was, you can come back later or tomorrow and come pay it then. And I thought that that was so incredibly nice and sweet. The staff is beyond incredible super nice and sweet. Will definitely come back again. read more

I want to review RJs by actually talking about another diner, the Black Eyed Pea in Dade City. Let's start with there was a little wait at the BEP, not so at RJs, we were seated right away - advantage RJs. The service at both were very good. The waitress at RJs had only been there a few days, so she did very well for only being there a bit. Now lets talk soup. At the Pea, we ordered a creamy chicken soup (soup of the day). Clearly home made, served hot, with a side of saltines. 10/10 would recommend, great soup. We also ordered soup at RJs, it was canned chicken noodle that they didn't even bother adding the right amount of water to, it was suuuper salty and not very good. For entrees, i ordered the philly, my wife ordered a mushroom swiss burger. The philly appeared to be your basic philly, the veggies were crisp and undercooked, the sliced provolone cheese and the whole sandwich just lacked seasoning and was prrtty bland. My wife's burger tasted "off" like the meat was bad, the mushrooms seemed straight out of a can and were cold. My niece's burger also tasted funny. My father in law had an open faced roast beef, and he deemed it acceptable. All in all it seems that RJs food is just barely passable, the burgers we were told were the first burgers returned in the 4 years the cashier had been working there. The pie was store bought presliced pie. If you want average food you can make at home with no skill, RJs may be for you. The only saving grace and the reason for the second star is that they refunded the burgers and the philly. So kudos for standing behind their reputation, but i wouldn't recommend it or go back. i will, however go back to the black eyed pea. read more

I have been eating at Plaza Lunch for several years, but within the last year it has gone downhill. The food is not as good as it was and the portions are very small. The last time we went cost us $23.00. The lunch my husband ordered was so small that we had to go to McDonald's for a hamburger and fries. We will not be going back. read more

Ate breakfast at this restaurant again last week with a friend. My friend was impressed at the great food, wonderful service, and excellent value. This restaurant has a very good rating with the Florida Health Department as well. I use the health department ratings as my guide for my meals. You cannot go wrong with David's. When you go to a restaurant and see very little employee turnover, you know something is right with the restaurant. read more

I have breakfast here about every three months; whenever I have blood work and can't eat breakfast at home. Their omelets are great; big omelets, plenty of filling, good hash browns, and good crumbly biscuit. They are reasonably priced, service is quick and friendly. Old fashioned breakfast and lunch place. I can't speak to lunch or anything other than the omelets, but if you're looking for a good egg, meat, and potato type breakfast, you can't go wrong. read more

I love this place. My doctor's office is right across the street, so I always make my appointments for first thing in the morning. Twice a year I do blood work, and the following week I meet with Ally to go over the results. Then, it's off to David's where they have early bird breakfast, before 9, for $3.99. That's right, $3.99. I always get the same thing: one egg, anyway you like; 2 sausage patties, you can have 2 bacon or 2 links; hash browns; toast and coffee. $3.99. Beat that!! read more
